Excellent fit.
This is fitted to an adjustable authopaedic bed. Excellent fit. No problems at all even during or after the adjustments of the bed itself when being adjusted by prone user.

Works great, I can now wet the bed without worrying about the mattress. Slightly rustly but not too much of a problem.

Not great coming out of the package but overall good once installed.
Taking this out of the package it does feel a bit flimsy and rustles a bit. Installing with the straps was a bit of a challenge on my big mattress but once the sheet is on it there really is no issue for sleeping. I haven’t had any “incident” to test the effectiveness but it looks like nothing would soak through it.

Great value
Great value mattress protector. A little on the small side but the elastics do their job. Our little one hasn’t yet had an accident so can’t say how waterproof it is but it’s comfy and doesn’t crackle under the sheet!
Saved our new mattress
Does it’s job! A cat knocked a coffee mug and spilt coffee on the bed, half a big mug, the protector is stained and horrid, but the new, month old mattress is still perfectly fine. Really surprised about that!
Does what it says “on the tin”
The waterproof sheet was very soft, fitted well, and was definitely waterproof (my visiting little grandson had an “accident” when he stayed the night) and washed very well.

We needed something to protect our new mattress, as our bitch has had UTIs in the past and has managed to pee on the bed. Arrived in good time and is of good quality. There is a slight sound when moving about but nothing too major and isn’t annoying when trying to sleep.

i used this to replace my previous mattress cover, which seemed to be permanently sliding off the mattress. this one, whilst having less fabric, fits corner to corner, and the straps hold it firmly in place, making for much more comfort.

I got this double and a single – same make – to deal with potential risks from grandchildren – now moving from cots and junior beds to grown up beds with expensive mattresses when they visit. Soft; a good fit; lightweight and waterproof! Cannot ask for more than that.

Would definitely recommend buying two though as you’ll need to wash it if soiled rather than wipe clean, as it has a soft layer on the top that gets wet.
It says can tumble dry on low but i’m not risking it in case it melts!

I have a few of these for the various beds, it fits well, doesn’t make a noise l, and has the added bonus of being able to be dryer in a tumble dryer on a gentle setting. Normally mattress protectors take forever to dry due to the pvc coating so this for me was a deal breaker. Recommended.
Good protecto
I was abit concerned after reading a few reviews, but for me this was a really good product!
I have back problems and often sweat at night, as I had just brought an expensive new mattress, I didn’t want to stain it with sweat! The top layer of this protector has a towel like texture and absorbs! And it’s comfortable to lay on! So I highly recommend!

This is a waterproof mattress cover which due to its fleece top and waterproof under neath is perfect for any accidents or spills, this was put to the test recently and passed with flying colours. So much so i have purchased several.

Bought this sheet to protect my matress from any spillage The sheet fitted well and no crinkly noises which was a bonus. I can also say after spilling a drink the sheet is definitely waterproof.

Doesn’t make that annoying crinkling noise that others do. Not tested it’s waterproof ability yet luckily, only bought it for a puppy who’s not yet toilet trained and wanting to protect my mattress. Hopefully it works for that!

This water prof sheet excellent price without compromising on price , very cheap compared to one i I first bought from bed shop me as nearly the same but first one I bought cost 70 from bed shop this one is more or less the same well actually I would say it is better quality than the first one I bought from bed shop. I am so pleased with my purchase, will be purchasing another one soon as an extra spare. Lovely fit , comfortable, well made, the best I have seen on the market so far . Also it drys quickly which means you can put it back on your bed before bedtime , if washed in the morning and draped over door frame, table inside if wheather is bad . Drys very quickly outside on washing line.

This is a good mattress protector which does work in keeping the mattress dry in the case of accidents. It fits the bed well and washes fine. It’s a little slow to dry.

I don’t know how waterproof it is as it hasn’t been put to the test as yet, hence only 4 stars, but it doesn’t make any crinkly sounds at all when you lay in bed and it isn’t noticeable under the sheet, either by sight or feel.

Item as expected. I live with a clumsy household and I want my mattress kept clean and dry. I bought 2 to layer up with bedding on my mattress and my goodness am I glad I did, when late at night my son knocked a drink over. I whipped off my top sheet and protector and found a perfectly made, dry bed to sleep on underneath. I recommend this to anyone; Protector, sheet, protector, sheet! So there’s no remaking the bed in the small hours when you need sleep. Wish I’d discovered this tip when toilet training the kids! The sheet definitely did it’s job, nothing had soaked through beyond the sheet itself.
A mattress protector that works
The Umi. Essentials Invisiable Waterproof Mattress Protector is intended to prevent liquids (mostly unwelcome bodily fluids) from seeping through to the mattress. We have a 7 year old nephew who seems to be intent on piddling on the bedsheets when he’s sleeping at our house so when we turned up, we were ready. I’m pleased to report nothing got through to the mattress. As a precautionary measure, this mattress protector has been a welcome addition.

This is a great mattress protecter, it is thick, good quality and a good fit. It does a great gob of protecting our littles girls new mattress against accidents and illness. It was recently put to the test on a few occasions, it could easily be whipped off with the rest of the bedding and washed in the machine. The mattress remained as new and the cover washed well. It is fairy pricey compares with other products but it is good quality.

Superb mattress protector, upon it’s second use, it came a very useful outcome of a youngster! It had been washed once as it had been on the bed for a couple of weeks. Washed well the first and second time and the overall size remains the same. Not too thick that it causes a noise to be made with any movement in the bed. Overall does the job it needs to and post wash it keeps its shape too.

Superb item. These are a godsend when you’re unwell, have kids or eat/drink in bed. It protects your mattress but doesn’t feel uncomfortable underneath another fitted sheet. You don’t really need another sheet on as it’s terry towelling so it’s comfortable but think we would all add one on top. No crunching and sweaty movements like when they first invented these. Product washes and dries well too following the instructions. They really do work!
Already survived a vomiting!
My young son has a lovely mattress and I wanted a reliable mattress protector over it to guard against the inevitable poorly times. I think it was only on for about two days when he was sick everywhere – full on exorcist style! I am pleased to say that his mattress is still pristine.
There is a bit of pale stain where the majority of the vomit seemed to pool, but I think the colour of the vomit is to blame not the mattress protector which did it’s job of protecting the mattress.
The elastic edges make sure the protector stays firmly in place through the night and the breathable top makes it soft and comfortable.
I have had a few items by UMI. now and find them just brilliant!

This is thankfully crinkle-free. Waterproof protectors in the past were very uncomfortable – this isn’t one of them. It fits well, washes well and seems to work.

The UMI Invisiable Waterproof Mattress Protector Polyester Jersey Cover – Fitted, Single Size (90×190/200cm)
was placed on a single bed which our 5 year old grand-daughter sleeps on. The protector was a good fit for the single bed. Its comfortable to lay on and you would not know it is in place underneath the sheet. The protector has a waterproof protector to stop any penetration of water, we washed this and it was perfectly fine after having been washed. We did not tumble dry this being cautious The protector works really well and very pleased with the product overall and the quality.
Ideal for the job!
Waterproof mattress covers are a must for guest beds, especially if they’re occupied by young children or those who may have “accidents”! However, the old sweaty, noisy rubber or plastic sheets are a thing of the past and covers are now fully waterproof without sacrificing softness and comfort.
I’ve seen covers with a variety of finishes, from terry towelling to smooth satiny fabric. This one is the satiny kind, quite thick and heavyweight, and seems reliably waterproof!! When placed under a sheet the person in the bed wouldn’t know a waterproof sheet was in place, either from appearance or feel.
The cover is elasticated like a fitted sheet, and machine washable – it can also be tumble dried on a low (synthetics) setting. Ideal for the job it was made to do, and especially useful for anyone who has young children, runs a B&B or has a lot of family and friends coming to stay!
Would prefer one with some quilted element on top for comfort long term.
This protector does protect bed better than others because of the waterproofing. However I think that once washed this water proofing will be compromised or it could harden, but we have to wash it right? (Although we can’t wash the mattress), I like the fact that whilst it is waterproof, (although to what degree I have not yet ascertained, it withstood a slow and mediocre spill, but I didn’t test it under flood conditions), it wasn’t like those old fashioned plastic sheets like that used in hospitals, so it doesn’t cause sweating or cold. It fits well on the bed as has a more flexible fabric on sides to give it a more tailored fit.The only slight criticism I have is that I like the one I have on my double bed more because it is quilted, which is my comfort preference. However it may not offer up such good resistance to wetness or stay soft and as nothing quilted on top this would be obvious. I might be tempted to use it as a back up to using disposable mats if someone stays over who might suffer from incontinence.
The elasticity held it in place well, but my mind questions how long for especially if put through wash many times. But who knows this may be maintained. It has a crisp freshness like a hotel sheet whilst a softness to allow it to be comfortable. The only reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars was because I haven’t washed it several times to see how it lasts. On the instructions it says it can be washed at 80 degrees and tumbled but I think i would only tumble it low for short time to get worst of wetness off. But that could just be me being over cautious. However I still think I prefer one with quilted top layer for assured comfort with long term use after repeated washings as have found plastic sheets can go scratchy.

Reasonable quality for everyday peace of mind
With a young family, mattress protectors are really helpful, and having an extra for when they need washing is very useful- but compared to our existing protector, this one will be our spare, not our main choice.
This one works fine in a spill test, and doesn’t feel too plasticky under a sheet. The top is polyester, so it isn’t as absorbant as some I’ve had, so any spill does spread a little further. However, on the flip side it does mean that it dries quicker. The back isn’t flat plastic either, so doesn’t remain wet after washing like others.
It washes well. The elastic is as strong as I’d expect, and runs around all edges of the sheet. The sides from top to elastic are about 30cm, so it is deep enough to have a bit to tuck under most mattresses. As a result it does look reasonably invisible (or ‘invisiable’ as the current product description has it).
It’s not top of the range, but very usable for normal family life with young kids.
No 'jersey' feel, but good quality and effective
This is a nice quality single bed mattress protector. It has deep sides so it happily went over my memory foam mattress. It’s not meanly sized.
It’s labelled as 100% polyester. It’s fine nylon with a fabric-like dense nylon backing in the centre. It does look like it would repel fluid and it would certainly prevent sweat stains on the mattress.
It rustles a little when moved, but once it’s in place, it stayed put. I have a thin hollow fibre topper and a fleece under-blanket over the top of this, and you can’t feel or hear any movement from it. It is washable at 60.
The only reason I removed one star is that it says it has a ‘jersey’ finish. To me, a jersey finish is soft to the touch. This is fine nylon.
Very happy with the quality
I really like the material on this. Gone are the days when these covers were hit and noisy. This is discrete and the fit on it is excellent. We have younger children and it’s ideal for them. We’ve washed and dried it once at 40 (lower than the recommended 60) then drip dried it and it’s came out great. There’s no price yet so it’s difficult to judge value for money but we’ve been very happy with the quality.

This type of mattress cover is best used in conjunction with a bed pad, if incontinence is an issue, but is a useful barrier to protect the mattress.
It was just deep enough to cope with my extra thick memory foam mattress on my adjustable bed. It was a bit of a stretch to get it to fit, but I managed, just, My experience is that unless a child or adult is extremely restless in bed, these stay in position quite well.
It washes readily enough at 40 degrees, and shrugged off marks when used with a good biological powder and scoop of stain remover.
I dried it in a tumble drier on the lowest setting. No problems there. Ironing isn’t essential, and I wouldn’t recommend it, in case you wreck the waterproof backing.
It’s not a fluffy warm cover, of towelling, and it is a little cool in winter. This may be a good thing for some, and a bad thing for others. It feels quite hardwearing, and likely to last a while.
Waterproof shee
This waterproof sheet fits a single size mattress perfectly and doesn’t come adrift in use. It is a soft material and not clammy despite being waterproof.
I think UMI is Amazons own brand, so it should be in compliance with safety regulations regarding fire hazards etc.
As our little ones mattress has a memory foam topper it is imperative that it doesn’t get wet as it will be ruined. Whilst we haven’t had any accident, I won’t take any chances. I always wash new sheets, so I did pour water over this before trying it out. The top got wet as expected, but the water did not penetrate the plastic layer, even when I let it pool and held it there for a few minutes. The sides are a softer material and are double stitched into the mattress cover.
It fits the bed perfectly and the top soft layer is comfortable to touch with the elasticated sides holding it firmly in place. The plastic barrier isn’t noisy and is comfortable enough to lie on. If you were sleeping on it I think you would know that you are on a waterproof cover, but our little one hasn’t said anything and it doesn’t appear to be disturbing his sleep.
I don’t know what the launch price of this is going to be so I can’t comment on value for money. I did have one recently for 13 which was as good as this one, so hopefully it will be in that ball park or cheaper. No complaints and would recommend. It can make the difference between a ruined mattress or quick change of sheets and back to sleep.
Effective
This Umi waterproof mattress cover fits our grand daughter’s standard size single perfectly. The stitching appears nice and strong and the material lays smoothly over the mattress. With a normal sheet over the top of it you wouldn’t know it was there. We had a quick test of it when we first put it on her bed, by dripping some water on it. The liquid stayed on top of the cover in droplets, rather than soaking through. So it seems to be effective in that regard. We’ve also washed it once at 40 degrees and it hasn’t shrunk and nor has the material degraded at all. So all in all it appears to be an effective mattress protector that does what it says on the label.
Comfortable and waterproof
This mattress protector is very easy to attach to the mattress thanks to its elasticated edging and the fabric is reasonably soft and comfortable. In use we have found it to be completely water repellent, which is the most important feature, liquid does not seep into the mattress, so this is ideal for when our grandchild stays over.
Smooth and dry...
This Woven Waterproof Mattress Protector from UMI is slightly different than most because the top panel is made from a smooth impervious fabric that has woven appearance but no quilting, unlike most standard mattress protectors. The panel isn’t particularly thick but feels substantial and gives the finished bed a neat and smooth look and feel. As you’re making the bed the cover has a slight crinkly sound like a polythene sheet might, but it doesn’t feel anything like that and the sound pretty much disappears on the final made-up bed.
The stretchy mesh-style side panels fit standard mattresses well and they’re deep enough to cover with a mattress topper or similar and still tuck in quite neatly. We’re using ours over an inflatable mattress topper for a temporarily bed-bound elderly relative and it’s been fine. It seems to breathe well too and we’ve had no reports of clamminess or discomfort. It’s well sized for a standard single mattress and doesn’t slide around or work loose easily. Overall we liked the smooth finish and it’s less noticeable than the quilted protectors are, though maybe not as cosy, and has the obvious benefit of being impervious to spills or accidents.

This is a fitted mattress protector made from a waterproof fabric. It fits the single bed perfectly and stays in place without sliding off. Ideal for children`s beds or guest bed. This protector does not make you to hot as did the old rubber type protector sheets either. It is washable, I did wash it before using on a low heat and it was fine, I dried it over a clothes rail by the radiator and it dried quite quickly, it was on the bed the same night.
