Wow what a great simple easy to install CCTV system, that took me around 30 mins to set up and install, which included fitting the two wireless cameras & solar panels in the right sun trap area after fully charging them first, the easy to follow guide for the keen diy person it is a must to have a read first and once you have it will take no time to set up, if you get stuck there is a handy UK mobile contact number you can call or message them they will come back to you with as much help in any setting up questions you might have, the unit is very light and compact I have mine connected to my PC but this will connect to your TV or the App via the online stores at no charge to use which again is so easy and user friendly. Overall I give this a five star review based on simplicity, value for money and customer service see pictures to show out of the box to working with pictures.

Copied below are the sellers features for ease:-

I have placed one of these at the bottom of my garden and the other near my back door, I found them simple and easy to set up by following the instruction manual.

I also downloaded the app on my phone and connecting the cameras to the app was easy to do, the app allows me to view the footage and the cameras live also.

You can change how the cameras activate in the dark, I set mine so that when they detect motion the spot lights came on instead of being constantly on.

Powered by solar means you do not have to hardwire these or keep recharging the battery like previous ones I have had.

Overall I am happy with this set.

I’ve always been keen on enhancing the security around my home, not for any specific threat, but just to have an added layer of assurance. Upon setting this up, the first thing that stood out was the ease of installation. No wrestling with a nest of wires. Instead, the challenge was strategically positioning the solar panels to harness optimal sunlight, a small trade-off for the wireless freedom.
During playback, I observed a striking clarity in both video and audio, capturing even minute details. The two-way audio was surprisingly clear, picking up even the distant chatter of kids playing nearby. Despite its solar dependence, I’ve not yet faced any issues, even on some of our typical British cloudy days. Yet, I do remain watchful, especially as the days become shorter.
While I’ve used several security systems before, this one, with its eco-friendly edge and uncompromised quality, stands out.

I immediately unboxed and plugged in to fully charge. Later that day I got the app, registered an acct., and set up the camera, took a total of 15 min
and, hold the camera where I wanted to mount, found I had a great wifi signal, mount the bracket, done, maybe 20 min.
It is easy to setup and just for an an idea on set-up and controls. Not necessary at all but great for using the app.
Very impressed with picture quality and love that it’s a solar recharging.
App is functional and offers a customisation. Notifications come right to your phone, you can download any video clips you choose or delete as desired.
*Note, the spotlight can be turned off and this is how I set it up, didn’t want it coming on each time it detected movement.
So far very impressed and the people I’ve shared images with are too at the quality.
Would recommend and will be adding more of these cameras in other areas in the future.

I think it’s best to start with the pros and cons of this product because there are things I did and didn’t like about it.

    So for pros;

-One of the standout features of this system is its wireless functionality. With no need for complex wiring or cables, installation becomes a breeze.

-The cameras can be easily placed anywhere within range, providing ample flexibility to cover all angles of your property.

-Another remarkable aspect of the SANSCO system is its solar-powered batteries. Gone are the days of constantly replacing batteries or worrying about power outages. This will not only saves you some money from the electricity, but also reduces environmental impact.

But just like any product, there are a few cons to consider.

-Firstly, the initial setup process may require some technical knowledge, especially if you are unfamiliar with security camera systems. I think it would be helpful to have more detailed instructions or video tutorials to assist users in the installation and configuration process.

-Also while the solar-powered batteries are a great feature, they may require sufficient sunlight exposure to maintain optimal charging. If your property is heavily shaded or lacks direct sunlight, you may need to consider alternative power options.

Well that’s about it for cons so if you really think about it, its not a total loss because the advantages you’ll get are totally worth it. I still give this a 5 star rating because overall, I have found this system to be a valuable addition to my home security setup.

(Please note that I am reviewing the wireless version of this security camera system – as some reviews appear to deal with the wired version.)

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this “SANSCO Wireless Security Camera System” to begin with, as on paper you do seem to be getting a lot for your money. Essentially two cameras, two solar panels and a wireless digital video recorder with a built-in hard drive.

Installing the cameras and setting everything up was easy and problem free. There are different settings you can explore and customise to suit your requirements once you get familer with the system. I would recommend charging the cameras before you fit them just so they start your protection with a full battery. The solar pannels have been “alright” so far, but they don’t give me the impression they will keep the batteries fully charged come winter. I would suggest you really fit them so they get as much sun as possible (angled south) and that you wipe the pannels clean every now and again.

I really like that it comes with its own DVR and there are no monthly cloud fees to pay (as the footage is recorded locally on the 500Gb hard drive). It’s worth noting that the hard drive can store a huge volume of video, and I doubt you would need more even if you add more cameras to the system. Once it is full, it simply rewrites over the oldest footage, but you can transfer and save and recordings you want to keep before than happens with the software. You can view back footage on the app, or you can connect the base station to a TV or computer monitor through the output sockets. Obviously you might want to hide the DVR somewhere where it is not on show or otherwise secure it somehow.

Picture quality during the day is excellent and can’t be faulted as it gives crisp and clear images with a great frame rate and details. The quality at night is acceptable but not the best I’ve seen even at this price point. One of my cameras was being blinded by my flood light every time it activated, which isn’t the camera’s fault, but I would say take any nearby lighting into consideration.

You may also want to play around with where the wi-fi antenna’s are pointing, as it does make a difference in signal strength and will let you have the cameras fitted where you need and still “reach” the DVR. For reference, I did manage to connect the system up to Wi-Fi extenders (the plug-in variant that go in to an electrical socket) and it did extend the range. But unless you have a very large house, I doubt range will be an issue.

The build quality of the cameras themselves are average, and I couldn’t find any evidence of a waterproofing or weatherproofing rating (i.e. and IP number). Sansco themselves do recommend that you install the cameras “under proper shelter” to extend their service life. I do have a few concerns in this regard considering the average weather in the United Kingdom, and I would suggest you at least try and follow the instructions in this regard. What I’ve done however (and feel free to copy my idea) is to cut up a 2-litre plastic juice bottle in such a way that I’ve made plastic covers for each camera. It’s reasonably easy to do, and if you take your time with the scissors and a bit of clear double sided tape (the heavy duty kind), you can make it look professional. Mine look “natural” to the cameras, and protect them from heavy down pours (but not so much sideways rain.)

So, while I do have a few concerns with the build quality of the cameras, how long they will last against British weather, how much power those solar panels will provide and so forth – I’m still pretty happy with this system. It is just so easy to set up and use with various options for connectivity, viewing footage and changing settings. Most of the time the picture quality is excellent and the detection works really well (recording at night needs some tweaking). I do think the system is good value for money and you’ll save on cloud costs, plus it is expandable should you need more. Yes, you do have to think about where those solar panels are, and how sheltered the cameras are, but I don’t think this is unreasonable. I wouldn’t say that this is necessary a “fit-and-forget” kind of system. But give it the attention when you are choosing when to fit the cameras and so forth, check on them now and again, and I doubt you’ll have much in the way of problems. You are still getting a system that is simple, works well and doesn’t break the bank.

This a neat little CCTV solution featuring 2 hi definition cameras, and a 500GB hard drive unit torecord onto. The beautyof these cameras is that they are solarpowered, and wireless (apart from the wire to the panel), so don’t leave trailing wires, and don’t have cables that can be cut by would be thieves. The downside is that you need to position the panels properly to get the maximum amount of sunlight, and that is not necessarily the position you want to cover with the cameras. Although they only switch on with motion detection, if you live in a busy neighbourhood, and it is late autumn, or winter, you may not generate enough power each day to keep the batteries in the cameras fully charged. You alsoneed to position the camerassomewhere that shields them from the weather, which adds to the issue,
Picture and sound quality is excellent though, and it’s really easy to install, and set up. Pricewise it’s also a lot cheaper than buying a conventional mains powered system, but I’m not convinced this will work well in winter, when you only get 6 hours of daylight, and it’s mostly overcast. I think these are far better suited to countries that have better weather than us here in the UK, but I will monitor how well they work over the next few months, and if they do fail to operate properly as the days grow shorter, I will report back. 4 stars though for the innovative idea, but I remain dubious.

If you don’t want to drill through your outer wall this is the system for you as the only drilling needed is little holes for the wall plugs to mount the cameras, apart from that it’s totally wireless, I found it easy to connect to my wifi and the app and the 2k image quality is levels above the 1080p system I was using and gives much more detail, so far the wifi has been great even though two walls and the box has a 500GB drive in to store the footage, you can also add more cameras to the system if you ever want to expand it too, all in all, a very good wifi system for the price.

Have these cameras for a few months now and they work really well for the money, I should have bought the 8 cameras but they only had them in white. Easy to set up and the ip pro app works well. The range is surprisingly good at 50feet. I live alone and I am mostly confined to bed so keeps a watch on me dog to see what she;s up to. Work well at night, recommend

Used it aviary and sheds in the garden. one shed a bit too far away I think so picture can be lost in bad weather. One camera was faulty but company replaced it quickly. Company also very helpful with advice by email. I would buy from them again .

Very easy to install, no setup required plug it in and it works. Bear in mind that these are Wifi cameras so have a limited range (for my location about 25 meter range) they can however be wired directly to the recorder if needed. The remote view app is free, it will start giving you pop up ads after a while of use. Would highly recommend this system works straight out of box, yet does have some higher functions if you like to fiddle. Like most cameras night vision is o.k. close up, don’t expect too much for anything more than 5 meters away, daytime clarity is pretty impressive at any distance. If you can get it for less than 200 quid buy it! You will need an Ethernet link between the reorder and your internet route

Arrived promptly. I got the hard-drive version which is worth the extra money. Instructions could be better but I used U-Tube for more detailed set-up info. Need to drill holes through external walls and use a ladder if fixing cameras high up. Camera signals work via your broadband modem and recording box is linked to modem through an ethernet cable. Worked immediately once everything was plugged in. Needed to buy a monitor to view pictures. Pictures very clear. Seems to be reliable but time will tell. Can also be linked to I- Phone.

My dad was getting random knocks on the window at 4AM every morning, which was really starting to worry me as he had no idea who it was and they were gone by the time he looked out there.

So i decided to help him out by getting a CCTV setup covering the drive the would have to walk up, but also the front door, window and back door so nothing was left unseen, it turns out that just by placing this up and sticking the warning stickers up, the mysterious window knocker disappeared and never knocked again, so even as a deterrent this works very well.

The box itself is nice and sleek and was setup in a discreet cupboard by the front door within reach of all of the camera setup points allowing for a decent connection between them. The cameras all require power and that’s it…plug them in and they connect and start recording immediately, yes there’s a lot of settings within the box that you can change, however it works as is and really doesn’t need anything else doing to it in my opinion.

If you have an internet connection then you can also set this up as we have to be viewed on your phone so i can have access myself and check up at any time of night if he calls me.

Overall, with the fact that it’s easy to setup, and gives nice clear images, I’m happy with the solution and it’s ability to keep people away.

A really hassle free and easy to setup CCTV system. No need for tons of wiring running through the house, each camera requires just one power cable going to it. The cameras automatically connect to the main unit. Video can be watched on a TV or a computer monitor as the main unit has both a VGA and HDMI connector. All the wires are included and connecting it to a router via the ethernet cable allows you to access the cameras and recordings anywhere in the world. The app on your mobile device is simple to use and very user friendly, the picture is clear and there are all sorts of extra setting you can access such as alerts and motion. The video is clear both at nigh and day thanks to the night vision. The device also allows you to export recording on to a USB really useful if you need to submit a recording for whatever reason. The harddrive is included and preinstalled, it has a large capacity and can hold a few weeks recording before it rites back over itself. All the fixings for the camera are included and they can either be used inside or outside. They are easy to fix and the cameras can be positioned in whatever angle suits you best. Overall this is a fantastic kit, really easy to fix and set up, tons of functionality and great quality video, Really pleased with it and feel a lot more secure for having it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe bought this initially to add a bit of temporary surveillance to the back of our house whilst extension work is ongoing, and eventually and more permanently, to provide coverage over the entire property. We chose this based on the positive reviews and also due to the fact that the cameras connect wirelessly with NVR. It also includes an app which you can download to receive push notifications of any detections on it – it works very well surprisingly.

Setting it up was a doddle. With very little in the way of instructions, it was still simple to set up. Cameras give good image clarity, even at night, and the range of the cameras is very good so we get good coverage over our land. The included 1TB drive will hold lots of footage, but this can be extended by up to 6TB.

The cameras themselves will durable and well constructed, and thus far, the recent bad weather hasn’t affected them in any way. We only have a single one installed so far but once the house is finished, we will look to set up the remaining three. Very glad to have spent a bit extra on this high quality system.

    Working very well

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought the wireless version because I didn’t want to drill holes and run cables around the interior of the house. Easy to set up. Range is good – over 40 feet to hard drive aerial unit. Picture quality is excellent and enough 1TB memory to store about 2 months footage from all four cameras. Movement detection is good but have yet to find a way for it to alert me on my mobile. Can take stills and record sections of the footage. Playback selection is by calendar date and time.

I’ve set up 2 external and 2 internal and found it better if internal ones are mounted on a wooden block rather than screw to the wall. Can be discreetly hidden behind ornaments. There is also a cable to attach to an ethernet if needed to extend the range.

Found software a little daunting at first but soon got used to it. Used an old computer monitor with HDMI cable. Shame they do not supply one. Mobile link is good from anywhere. Cameras have wide angle lenses without too much curvature. Cameras switch automatically to good quality infra red black/white when light fades.

Build quality is good but found the aerial connection to the camera to be a bit flimsy and needed a bit of tweaking, hence 4 stars.

Would highly recommend this for home use. Good build quality, easy to install and excellent picture quality.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe purchased this system following a burglary in our street. We put up the four camera’s quite easily and got them linked with the NVR. It took a few tweeks as the wifi was stronger in some of the area’s but we finally got 3 set up on our pc and mobile phones. Unfortunately, one camera did not work but I have contacted Sansco today and they are organising a replacement to be sent.
