Best in class Air cooler My ryzen 7 5700x keeps around 60 degrees Celsius ,max recorded temperature was 65 degrees Celsius in games like fortni…without OC everything set to high or ultra graphic settings

The twin cooler stack really helps with heat dissipation. The stock fans are not the greatest, a bit loud. Good product overall, does a solid job cooling my ryzen 5900x quite well.

This was the easiest air-cooler I’ve ever installed, and all the reviews were spot on. I’m cooling a 13000k inside a fractal torrent, and it’s been a breeze, literally. Looks great and moves lots of air.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI knew getting this Cooler I would not be disappointed. Was having issues with a 240 corsair aio so decided to go to Air cooling and was actually shocked. Gaming before I was at about 70c, now im barely breaking 50c which was not expecting that. Had a bit of trouble getting the final part of the cooler mounted on but wasn’t super difficult to install.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersInstalled it on AM5 board without much hassle.

However, after installation, I was able to hear high-pitched resonance noise coming from the system even during idle when fan speed was low (~30$ speed)
The pitch goes up and down which makes it impossible to ignore, and causes headache.

I’ve contacted DeepCool regarding the matter, and they said that the noise is normal and pointed to a youtube they posted (Can’t post link directly, but video is titled “Deepcool FK120 fan noise” which is the fan used in AK620 ).
They refused to provide any replacement or warranty service for this.

It seems to be a fairly common issue, and is very disappointing that DeepCool deemed this as “working as intended”
    ======
Since this review is posted, DeepCool have contacted me and offered a full refund with potential solution to the fan issue.
Hence changing the rating to 5* as overall build wise, it is good.

It’s just unfortunate that Amazon review is more powerful than contacting support through their official channels, but I wish it gets better over time.

Mounting system was easy to install, noise level are quiet.
My system has a amd 5600, it would hit temp between 70-90 game loads with stock cooler. This brought down to 50-60 on games. Giving me a sense of relief.
    Would buy again.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersAfter a few hours of using the product after installation, I heard a pop from my PC and saw that the AK620 was loose. After further inspection I found that an Intel mounting bracket broke. See photo for where it broke. Nothing was damaged in my computer. I just have to wait 3 days for a new one to arrive. Inconvenient. I don’t know if I trust this product. Inspecting the intact bracket shows a very week connection between the bracket and screw threads.

Received my replacement cooler. Same weak LGA 1700 bracket, but I was extra careful with this one to keep light pressure. Cooling is as good as a tower cooler of this size gets. Looks are excellent. Please reinforce the brackets!

This air cooler is very affordable and does a sensational job at cooling my 5950x. The 5950x is very efficient, so the TDP isn’t too crazy, but this cooler keeps the CPU well under 80c even during a prolonged torture test. I previously had a ThermalTake AIO, and even out of the box, a year before it failed, the AIO couldn’t cool my CPU nearly as good (which is shocking). Don’t cheap out and buy a $30 cooler, and get this one instead. AIOs die, heatsinks are forever.

This is a total beast of a cooler in every way. When you open the box the cooler is the size of a small family house and you think how will that even fit? With its twin fans and split radiators it’s easy to clean and with twin 80mm fans they just tick over slowly keeping noise down to a whisper, but if need be they will certainly move some air.

I’m running a ryzen 9 5900x and even when battering it with some serious gaming I’m only seeing between 60-70 deg C which is easy better than my stock cooler at 90-95 deg.

There are no rgb lights if that’s what you are looking for but that doesn’t bother me, and be aware that part of the cooker will over hang your ram, so if you have overly tall ram, or extra led or coolers on check the height begot you buy, as my corsair ram has about 3mm gap which is fine for me.

You will need access to the bottom of your motherboard to fit the securing plate but if your car is like mine then access is ready, if not you’ll have to remove your board, but this seems to be standard now for most decent coolers.

I did try a liquid cooler from a friend (240mm) but I found this air cooler actually better by almost 10 deg C.

Over all a great buy and worth the money and I would recommend this cooler.

Got this for my new gaming build. Let me just say, this cooler is a BEAST. She’s LORGE and in CHORGE. Be mindful of your case measurements and any clearance issues with other components. This literally JUST fit inside my case. That said, it was super easy to install, and comes with it’s own thermal compound (though I’m sure some of you will want to use a different brand, I was fine with what was provided). The white looks great with the white Lian Li midtower case I got, and she runs niiiice and quiet. Very happy with it, overall.

Ordered this for my friends build and it’s definitely an amazing cooler from quality to looks to even the overall cooling it provides! Shortly after ordering it, I received a message from Deepcool and they offered help for any issues that we had (No issues at all! It was perfect!) Asked if the LGA 1700 mounting brackets and all were included and they said it should all be there but if it’s not to let them know and they would ship it out for free! Overall amazing cooler and amazing customer service! Thanks Deepcool!

Purchased for my 5800x3d, I was originally running a stock ryzen 2700x cooler. Temps were thermal throttling the processor in Star Citizen at 90 degrees. I installed this cooler, with the included thermal paste, and nothing else, temps were in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Even in Prime 95, temps hover around 80.
It is worth noting I am running the Coolermaster H500 case with the twin 200mm fans in the front, and the stock 120mm (?) fan in the back, and nothing else. No top case fans, at all.

I have a Ryzen 7 5800 and this does not sufficiently cool the CPU. It frequently boosts into high 80s and 90 degree. I tried reapplying the paste and even installed a second fan it is still not performing where it should for a CPU of this TDP (105) for a TDP of 65 I think it would be excellent but for a high TDP CPU I would recommend going with something designed for these temperatures, Noctua NH-D15 or a mid to high level AIO (all-in-one) cooler.

Pros: Nice looking Cooler, Quiet even when at 100%
Cons: It advertises 105 TDP but I don’t feel it’s really capable of providing consistent cooling in gaming or content creation for these high temperature CPUs.

My new Ryzen 5 7600X idles at about 35 degrees celsius with this one, never saw it go over 70 degrees on full load.

The cooling is great, but the fans are super noisy and are making a high pitch whining sound when ramping up. I’m not sure if it’s just my cooler that does this or if it’s a general issue with the DeepCool AK620.

Edit: DeepCool support sent two new fans, no more issues with sound. Upgrading to a 5 star review.

This has been a great cooler for my 13600k. Idle temps between 30c-32c and max temp during Cinebench R23 thermal test was 81c. I was worried about this keeping up with Intel’s 13th Gen, but it’s done great. Do be aware you will need to get in touch with DeepCool to get the LGA 1700 mounting kit, but I got mine within a week of requesting one (and for free). Sure there are coolers out there that could give you cooler temps, but for an air cooler that looks this clean you can beat it. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that they don’t come stock with the LGA 1700 until the new year, but you’ll just have to wait less than a week. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone.

After installing an RTX 3080 Ti with my Ryzen 5 3600 Cpu setup the demands placed on the cpu with stock cooler were extreme. Stock cooler had temps hitting 95C under load. Purchased the Deepcool AK620 cooler and temps dropped to 65C to 70C under full load which is remarkable in comparison to the previous temps. Definitely worth the upgrade.

Cons- The mounting was kinda bad for me. I couldn’t get it to perfectly line up with the screws and it kept sliding on the pasted cpu. Got it on, okay. Now my issue with it is the fact that my ram sticks are too tall for it to be flush. As seem in the pic, I had to slide up the first fan, which causes my case to not close up tightly as it presses on the glass. If you’re looking for an asthetic build, get the smaller size so you can see the ram, the big one covers it completely.

Pros- It keeps the cpu cool. Yep, that’s it. It does its job good!

Hope you didn't like your ram!

This is a full review of the item from my expertise, good value for money, not to bad but you can buy it cheaper elsewhere, easy mounting system and even comes with a screwdriver for mounting everything, sound quite quiet, performance debatable, for test reference this cooler was tested on an AMD ryzen 7 5700G 8core with 16mb catche, heat out put is worked out differently to rated tdp, rated tdp is 65w acuall tdp is 71w packages 45w-65w processor real rating over 100w, first up my old CPU cooler for comparison the old cooler was a deepcool cooler was designed for an am3 socket had 4 heat pipes with copper exposed at the base plate, and rated for a 65wtdp 6core fx processor, idle temps where high as expected at a steady 52c
At gaming load on a number of games temps where at average 62-65c at full load tested with cinebench was 69.7c and did not thermal throttle, I was very surprised how well it did considering, it was the wrong design in the first place it also didnt thermal throttle, next up the ak620, I would like to note first I love the design of the 620 with the duel fan configuration which helps with cooling and the simple fitment design, downside not a copper base plate no direct copper piping contact with the CPU, design could have been better here, the metal fins feels stong probably made from steel, so I fitted the ak620 which was a very easy process, on idle temps there where noticeably a big difference dropping by over 10c with processor temps at around 35c, I thought not bad, then we came to the gaming tests all the same games used as before, average temps where about 54-56c which seemed like a big difference again by about 10c but then came the let down at full load using cinebench of course at max load max temps hit a steady 64.9c I tested this multiple times checked mounting pressures and still had the same result 64.9c now don’t get me wrong this is a 5c drop from the old cooler but only 5c did feel to short, especially since this cooler is rated for a 250w tdp, has 6 heat pipes and two fans for cooling, so I upped the ain’t and put on some noctua fans but even then only dropped a further .4c to 64.5c, I think this is due to the fact there is no direct contact with the heat pipes which slows the heat transfer to the heat pipes them selves,
Overall perfectly useable with a CPU with an output of 150w definitely would not advise using it on a 250w cpu where other coolers definitely have better cooling capabilities, value very very good value indeed I cannot stress that enough.
    Finally grade test
Performance, b+ closer to an A
    Value for money A+
    Noise A
    Mounting system A

In a cinebench stress test with my Ryzen 5900x running for an hour all core load my temps peaked at 68c which is excellent. Under normal usage i get temps of 37- 50c. The cpu cooler is great. Its cooling a Ryzen 9 5900x and the temps haven’t gone over 75c when gaming. The cooler is quiet when the cpu isn’t under load and you barely hear it when it is under load. Mounting was quite simple, instructions were clear enough and you are given a screwdriver with it so no hassle looking for tools. I didn’t use the thermal it came with as I use a different one but I won’t need to buy any for a few years as you are given plenty to repaste whenever you need to.

I’ve bought two of these. I used to buy the Noctua NH-D15 but noticed that the DeepCool version had better reviews (better performance) and was 35 cheaper than Noctua’s offering.

I’ve one DEEPCOOL AK620 powering my 12700k which runs at 35C during normal web browsing and up to 48C when under load during the summer months where ambient temperature is about 23C in my flat. I’ve a second DEEPCOOL AK620 powering my wife’s AMD 5600X which also runs exceptionally cool and silent.

This price-to-performance ratio can’t be beat, if you’re in the market for a new “premium” CPU cooler but don’t wish to fork out close to 100; look no further!

I bought this for my recent upgrade to a AMD Ryzen 7 5900x3d Cpu, and wow! temps never hitting above 76C in hard use with MSFS, coupled with a Gigabyte RX6800 oc

Great price, with some nearly 40 more expensive.

Have this installed on a 3900x and it keeps the temperatures in check, a hidden gem in terms of price to quality which deserves more praise, the only problems I encountered was trying to align and tighten on the initial install but now it is in works extremely well

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersDeepcool have undergone a welcome design change to their logo and new products at the time of writing. This new lineup of AK620 and AK400 coolers looks really sleak and clean.

Packaging contains minimal amount of plastic use and there’s good protection around the cooler in its box to prevent shipping damage, as you can see in the pictures. You get a long screwdriver included to get down between the heatsinks to screw down the cooler into the bracket. There’s also quite a big tube of thermal paste included, more than I’ve seen included with most other coolers. The manual has very intuitive diagrams with labels and is in a nice small booklet instead of a big foldout piece of paper, it’s a nice attention to detail.

Installation was pretty simple. You put the standoff screws inline with the mounting holes of your motherboard (I am using an LGA1700/1800 board), screw the retention nuts on then put on the frame bracket which has 2 screws on it; one at the top and one at the bottom. The metal frame has arrows to show you where the CPU should be in relation to it so you know which goes above and which goes below. Deepcool have adopted a similar mounting system to noctua. There are 2 screws that go into the bracket above and below the CPU, with springs to prevent you from over tightening. Fans clip in easily and you get a fan header splitter cable so you can run both fans off one header and control both their speed together

RAM clearance is good for low profile memory such as Ballistix and Vengeance LPX. (Image provided)

Temperature wise I cannot complain about the cooler. It did a good job keeping my 12600K cool even under 100% stress test loads. At stock settings the 12600K pulls around 130w in all core loads. I ran Linpack for about 30 minutes and the CPU package temperature never went above 75c, and that’s with my own custom fan curve in BIOS to run fans a little bit slower than stock for quieter operation. I did another test that pushes the CPU a bit further, this time resulting in over 150w power draw, and you can see by the image the cooler keeps it from throttling. Bare in mind this test was done during mid June 2022 heatwave in UK, ambient temp was probably over 25c. In gaming loads where the 12600K can draw up to 90w the cooler stayed below 70c. Overall a great result for a cooler of this size and price. It’s competing with coolers above its market like the Noctua NH D15 and the U12A, and even beating them sometimes. There are reviews online that compare this cooler to other dual tower coolers and AIOs which show its performance it’s stellar

The mounting pressure of this cooler is strong in the centre which is ideal for Intel’s CPUs as they are monolithic chips with the die right in the middle of the substrate, under the IHS. The coldplate is also a little bit convex which helps with pressure

You can see the size difference between the AK620 and my NH U12A in the picture included. The white goes great against a black motherboard in a white case. It’s also short enough to be compatible with cases that aren’t that deep as it’s only 162mm tall.

The only thing I wish Deepcool would’ve done is offset the heat pipes, and by definition the heatsinks, a little bit to the left like Scythe have done for some of their tower coolers so that it doesn’t cover all the RAM incase someone wants to show off their RGB or want taller heatspreaders on the RAM.

Otherwise it’s a good addition to the market, adding something new besides the industrial look you get from all the other tower coolers. But if you do like that exposed metal and heatpipe look then its easy to take the top plastic plates off and the housing for them

Good looking and great cooling performance

I’m sure you can imagine how shattered I was to have to sit on a brand new i9 because the cooler didn’t have the right parts, but I can’t fault Deepcool’s solution. I had the bracket in my hands within 2 days.

Really great cooler, keeping my CPU temps down even when playing demanding games and there is barely any noise! Only thing is that with RGB RAM I had to move the front fan to the back because this cooler is pretty chonky, which is fine, but if you need the fan to be at the front by the RAM there wasn’t enough clearance (tested with Corsair vengeance RGB RAM) but it might depend on what RAM you have and how tall they are

Bought this based on the Gamers Nexus review cos my CPU kept overheating.
Well packaged, clear instructions and includes both long-handled screwdriver and thermal paste. Mounted with minimal fuss, fits near perfectly in my tower and looks great. Zero issues with temp since installation.
    Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersInstalled no problem, same mounting as the NHD-15S.

2 degrees cooler than the NHD-15S on average, and almost half the price. Also, a lot smaller.

I’m not sure what this other reviewer is going on about, talking about poor efficiency, well I’ll put that down to poor installation. As it’s completely the opposite.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAt the beginning, I would like to point out that this review is not sponsored by Deepcool.

    Review updated.
In short – the AK620 I purchased on Amazon cooled the Ryzen 5 3600XT CPU not much better than the Wraith Spire.

I was contacted by DEEPCOOL Customer Service and they offered to replace the AK620. I got my new cooler a few days later. At last everything works as expected from an efficient cooler. The temperature at IDLE is 30-32C, 60-65C while gaming and 70-72C at full load and is much quieter than the Wraith Spire and Wraith Prism. Installation is easy and AK620 does not conflict with RAM (I use “regular” low profile RAM modules).

After examining the previous cooler, I noticed that the copper base was worn in the middle part due to the convexity of base, which was causing the base to not fit the CPU properly.

Now I can honestly recommend the AK620 to anyone looking for a good CPU cooler. Deepcool has proved that a good brand is not only about products, but also, and maybe most of all, about customer service.
I would like to thank Jeny and all customer service staff for very good communication and quick replacement.
