Unexpected speed. I planted a big bag of bulbs in about 10 minuets in a lawn. Little effort required.
You need a good 18/20 volt drill. Small stones no problem.

Like this auger as it is a good size and lightweight at the same time. It appears to be very well made and is a good size for dill out smaller / less deep fence post holes

Brilliant product - not just for gardeners!
I know this tool is meant for gardeners, but I used it to make a hole for the base of a rotary clothes drier and it worked brilliantly, doing the job in about 30 seconds. However, you do need to use a variable speed drill on its lowest setting.

Excellent tool. Sturdy and effective. My garden is very stoney and the tool coped very well. Care is required to avoid the drill twisting by reactive torque. A second handle on the drill to allow two hand operation is recommended.

Handy Drill bit for garde
I am very please with this earth auger drill bit, handy and practical. Good size, easy and quick to dig a hole in the garden, definately time saver and life saver for me. It does exactly what it says in the description, value for its money, would recommand it .

We had been looking at these for a while and finally decided to try so ordered this for my wife as she is the gardener in this family. The auger arrived and it was a sturdy bit of kit and looked like it could do the job with ease. We have a lot of borders that always involve lots of digging for planting of bulbs and bedding plants. My wife loves it and for not much financial layout says it’s her fav garden tool now as it has made her planting out so much easier. I’ve watched her work and it really is a super bit of kit for the garden…very very happy.

We ordered 1000 bare root Hawthorne plants and they were delayed due to Covid-19, when they arrived we had to get them in quickly. Digging a trench was taking forever and was very hard work. I looked online to research and saw this gadget. I needed next day delivery and this company offered that. it arrived, next day , even with the restrictions in place. what a godsend, my husband was very sceptic about it but we breezed through, still took us 3 days but this tool did exactly what it promised. Our soil is variable from stony to clay to soft, we are on a farm in the West Country, my back was still broken but not as broken as digging a trench, the tool drilled a 3 inch hole deep and big enough to plant the twig, bamboo stick and a rabbit cover. 1000 done, I cannot even put into words how this sped up production. 5 stars plus even on the rocky bit. Tough construction and will last a 1000 more.

Nothing to dislike. Can plant bulbs at high speed with this and a good cordless drill..Or a corded drill with care!!!. Used it for putting in about 50 tulip and daffodil bulbs which I achieved in around 25 minutes . With a trowel i would have been hours trying to dig out all the heavy soil which the drill mulched into fine fill . All in all a superb idea..
Used for making holes to plant bulbs. Need to be careful that it doesn’t stick in ground and turn the drill . Saves alot of time
My wife, for whom it was bought was dubious ( she not good with unfamiliar machines) but was soon inventing ways of use. Not only digging single 4 inch holes but furrows, breaking soil. Now I have to train her to put the drill battery on charge in the evening…..
Absolutely Brilliant!
Used this with my battery electric drill. It didn’t like hard dry ground, but after some rain, it was wonderful. I had to plant 100 bulbs, and drilled 50 4 inch deep holes in about ten minutes. No effort at all.
