I had one of these before and really loved it. Bought this as a replacement. It’s perfect. Excellent for playing my Kindle Fire lying on the bed and also for using laptop. It takes a bit of playing around with the leg angles but once you get it set up right it’s excellent. 🙂

I think it does what it says but the quality is a little on the flimsy side, I have no doubt one of the legs could snap on me but for now it’s doing its job.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI paid around 10 more than the current asking price in May 2020 – and I have to say – for the most part I loved this thing. It’s actually just broken on me 16 months later – but this was partly my fault and partly down to build quality. I am trying a different type of desk now just to see what other styles are like, but I wanted to leave a quick review for this one just to describe the pros and cons. Firstly, I am a developer, I sit on my computer almost every day. This thing served me well right through the pandemic. It’s perfect for sitting on a couch for extended periods. If like me, you have pets, they might like it too! I was able to work with the laptop at such an angle that my cat would sit on my lap below it. Being what it is, it’s obviously very versatile, you can hold your computer at a variety of angles. Because it’s keeping the computer off your lap, you don’t get as hot as you would with a tray or a cushion. The legs can be adjusted independently from one another, which is great if – like me – you have quite squishy furniture. When sitting on our big cuddle sofa, I actually needed one leg to be raised a little bit less than the other – and with this I could do that! I also took it to work and used it as a riser. The stability doesn’t feel great if you try to set it up more than a few inches above lap height; looking at reviews I think some people expected they might be able to use this to make a standing desk – that’s probably not the best way to use it – I can imagine it being quite wobbly at height. Sometimes, when going out of the room or leaving it on the floor, I would fold the hinge on the laptop itself to balance the weight or I would lean it against the side of the couch so it couldn’t fall. It takes a bit of conscious effort to decide where you’re going to leave it or how to adjust it, but if you take a second to think about it before leaving the desk unattended – you shouldn’t be at risk of dropping your computer or anything. Now I come to how I broke the desk and what I think that means in terms of value… I needed to take a call on my computer while my fianc was in another room with the baby. So I quickly tried to move the whole thing, with my computer, to another room. In the process, I caught the tip of one of the legs on a doorway and the leg just snapped right off. The legs are plastic and metal, and inspecting the point where it snapped – it looks as though the fixing to the desk-top is done with some kind of thin weld or maybe even solder, but enough of it around the joint that when used properly, it’s been absolutely fine. I contemplated trying to fix it myself, but then I thought – I’ve had this thing over a year now, it’s cost me about 2-3 a month in that time, which is probably quite good value considering how convenient it’s been – but for other people, I know the idea of binning one after 16 months might seem quite wasteful and be a bit of a deal breaker. When shopping around, you will find lots of different clones of this same design. From what I can tell, they seem to be getting mass-produced and drop-shipped from China and other places. The design itself is great, it’s so convenient, but when replacing this I couldn’t find a retailer I was confident in, or a model that I was confident would have stronger materials or better fixings at the joints. If I could get this exact same idea but made in a solid, non plastic material, and the reviews were good, if I knew it was going to be long lived, I think I’d be willing to pay a bit more than I did. I wouldn’t let the build quality put you off if you know you can be careful with it, it’s actually quite clever and convenient, but if you’re in any way clumsy – like me – or you have kids or pets running around, if you think it might take a few knocks – just keep in mind that when set up, legs extended, it can be a bit vulnerable. Other than that, really useful, and a much more comfortable way to work when in the living room.

Good value for the price. It has lots of adjustable leg shapes for comfort and can be configured to suit many situations.. the mouse mat is a bit flimsy but I don’t use it anyway..it rises my laptop well on my desk.. I recommend this cheaper solution as a laptop desk riser or sofa table

    Good value for the money

Radiation from my laptop caused muscle aches to upper legs and a burning sensation. In addition I suffered from a bad back due to bending. This light metal table stops wifi radiation burn and allows you to sit upright on the sofa solving both issues. Great product.

Brilliant for what I need it to do! I bought this to raise my laptop screen to the correct height at my desk, and to get rid of the boxes I previously used, which were clogging up my desk! It adjusts really well and I now have lots more space. I’m not sure how stable it would be if using the laptop’s keyboard and I don’t need the mouse platform so have left it off.

This is really easy to use – I had it up and running even without reading the instructions on the adjustable angles. Then I saw it actually is marked with degrees, and they tell you how many degrees to set for each angle you need for various purposes.

It works as a stand-up desk mount for me and is a great idea.

Really pleased with this product. It is a little awkward to line up the angles perfectly, but worth a little effort to get the position just right.

My daughter has used this on a table, on her bed, on a sofa both led down and sat up. It is configurable enough to cope with all locations and still position the laptop in the perfect position for use. She’s even taken to using it as a book mount whilst studying.

The only problem is that now my wife and son want one too.

This product is pretty good – I have another similar table, and the joints are much stiffer and harder to move. This one, in comparison, is very easy to reconfigure. The only reason why it does not get full stars is that the plastic feels a bit light, and in some angles where the joins are more extend, the stand can feel a bit wobbly and likely to tip over. However, for the most part, a great and handy stand to have!

Can be used in many different positions and is great for use with laptops or iPads, especially for zoom sessions. Sometimes it takes a while to.get each side the same so the legs are level.

I love the idea of this. I love how you can fold it to suit the requirements you need it for, it is versatile.
I’m still getting used to it to be honest. It is a little tricky to get used to the different angles, maybe that’s just me! It does come with instructions which has been handy.
It’s seems very sturdy but unfortunately one the legs on the right is slightly longer as it has not been fitted properly. It makes it harder to balance when in certain angles, 4th one on the picture. It is annoying but apart from that I love it.
The mouse pad seems sturdy but don’t put to much weight on it.

    Good versatile laptop desk

This product is very versatile and does the job 100%. Removed one star because the mousepad is way too small and completely useless. Otherwise I’m using this everyday when I’m working from my sofa. You can also use it to work stood up as the 3 angles gives a lot a room for different levels

  26. Anonymous says:

This is a very versatile piece of kit with a lot of adaptations that can be made to the set up. Great if you are using a chair to work on as the addition of the mouse mat makes it much easier to use. It can also be used to make a ‘standing desk’ set up if you’re fed up with sitting In the same spot all day. The height can be adjusted really well using the two part legs either side so it is easy to make it fit different users. It’s also handy for adjusting the height for online meetings so you’re not looking down at the screen all the time. We bought this for working from home and have been really pleased with it.

One star is dropped as they haven’t put a hole on the left hand side so you can put the mouse mini table on that side. Easily fixed if you have got a drill, but these days that should have been included for left handers.

This is a very versatile and useful item. I am pleased I can use it in different locations and lessen neck problems.

My only problems are 1) pushing in the buttons but it could just be that I am not very strong.
    2) I find it a bit challenging to get the table level but that could become easier with practice.

    Overall, I am very satisfied.

I bought this product used and it works just fine. It took a few minutes to assemble it and to figure out how the joints work, but I used it last night in bed to watch a video and I am happy with it. During the day, I leave my laptop on there while its charging. It does seem a little wobbly and leans a little to the side, which is why I did not give it higher marks for sturdiness. I think a big benefit is that it is lightweight so, when I move I can slide it into my suitcase.

It does what it claims to do, providing a very practical computer desk for use when sitting in an armchair or even on the ground. The legs adjust easily and it is robust. It does have a mouse pad to affix to the die, but this is of limited use and actually gets in the way. This is the only down side. The only improvement that I can think of is an extension kit to enable it to be used standing up.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersIt’s a bit of a faff to get set up, trying to remember what angles to lock the legs into so that it doesn’t tip over. Once you have it, it is extremely sturdy. The metal tray is slippery and the lip is not enough to prevent a macbook from sliding off the front if you have the tray tiled up more than a few degrees. However the lip is too much for a thinner Chromebook I have and digs into your wrists. It comes with rubber clips which you can put on to prevent the laptop sliding off at a steeper angle (and it does the job) however they get in the way either when typing or when using the track pad. So instead it have the tray horizontal and use a case on the laptop with legs to raise up the back.
I prefer the immediacy of a simple tray with a cusion underneath, but in an extended use this keeps the heavy and hot macbook off your lap.
It’s bulky and doesn’t fold flat if you have the side tray attached. I’ve used it to hold a phone but not used a mouse on it.
So I’d have preferred a grippy tray and no lip but it does work.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersA great idea great implementation and great quality. Use this in my office and the dining table works anywhere – keeps you health while using laptop or chromebook. Seems slightly awkward when first opening the packet but all hinges click positively and they are marked off in degrees so just pick 30 deg 60 deg or 45 deg on each joint elbow and pick the same degrees and you have your Z legs sorted out – bingo . Great produc

Initially i thought i had wasted my money because it was so tuff to set it up correctly. But once i got it correct this desk serves the purpose. Very nice to handle and light weight. But due to light weight the laptop shakes when we type that is a concern, but we got to trade off that for its flexibility and light weight.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersWhen I first received this product it was a little confusing of how to set it up properly but after looking at the instructions i managed to get the stand set up correctly. The stand itself (including legs) is made of Aluminium which os good as aluminium isn’t heavy. It works great for me as it brings my laptop up higheron my desk which helps me a lot because I am short sighted and seeing the screen is much better now for doing things like work in Microsoft Office or even just general use like Google Chrome and YouTube. The moouse platform is also good. I struggle to use a trackpad sometimes and using a mouse on this little platorm is much more comfortable. I haven’t tried to use it yet for other places such as on a sofa or a bed yet but it definitely feels sturdy and i can’t imagine that there would be any problems using it on a sofa or bed. The plastic stoppers that are provided are great as well as they keep the laptop on the stand without a problem. If you buy this, I recommend looking at the instructions of how to set it up so it makes it easier setting it up. So far I am pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone who needs a laptop stand.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis foldable laptop stand arrived this morning and I have just set it up. With the stand unfolded to its highest height and sat upon my kitchen counter (which is 90cm high), the top of my laptop is in line with my eyes – which, according to all good literature on workstation health, is exactly where it should be. So for that, I am delighted. However, if I were to use the laptop stand on a normal height desk, it would not get to the level of my eyes, so something to bear in mind if you like your laptop screen in line with your eyes.
The stand is easy to set up, with a reassuring click on each leg joint as you rotate it. It seems fairly well made – the legs are plastic but the base for your laptop is aluminium – with a cooling vent built in. My only minor complaint and hence the loss of a star rating is that the accompanying mouse platform can only be set at one height, which for me is too high. I am tempted to drill a hole through the plastic leg a little lower down and if you fold the stand down you have to completely remove the mouse plateform. Also, the stand wobbles a little when I use the mouse. Whilst the stand seems secure, it is far from rock solid and I guess this is a trade off for for a lightweight, foldable stand. But as I say, this is a minor complaint and if you are lying down in bed with it or sitting on the sofa with it, it might be more stable.
The ‘Chinese’ English on the box and instructions. this is a sophisticated design, exquisite workmanship, humanized high notebook computer desk.

The laptop stand came in its own box with no wrapping so it was very clear what was inside. So if anyone is on the lookout for a foldable laptop stand, they will have struck gold. If this is a problem for you, I believe there is the option at checkout to tick a box to indicate you’d like it concealed inside a plain box.

I hope this helps I do not get paid to write this review I just like to help others.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersExcellent design, sits nicely for using my laptop on the sofa or on the table. Folds away nicely and needs little storage space when not in use. Suggest that in future designs, maybe the mouse platform could be a clip on attachment as opposed to a screw on attachment. Currently the mouse platform needs to be unscrewed before storing – a clip on attachment would be even more more convenient. The laptop desk can not be folded away completely without having to unscrew the mouse platform first.

My only minor (very minor) complaint (and hence the loss of a star rating) is that the accompanying mouse platform can only be set at one height – which for me is too high. I am tempted to drill a hole through the plastic leg a little lower down and re-affix it. Also, the stand wobbles a little when I use the mouse. Whilst the stand seems secure, it is far from rock solid – but this might be because I have it at its highest setting, and I guess this is a trade off for for a lightweight, foldable stand. But as I say, this is a minor complaint and if you are lying down in bed with it or sitting on the sofa with it, it might be more stable.

The ‘Chinese’ English on the box and instructions always makes me chuckle: ‘this is a sophisticated design, exquisite workmanship, humanized high notebook computer desk, At the same time, can also be used for other purposes. It is strong bonding and flexible, can be due to different sites, different uses, different objects, like the transformers as children’.

The laptop stand came in its own box with no wrapping so it was very clear what was inside. So if your postman / courier man / neighbour is on the lookout for a foldable laptop stand, they will have struck gold. If this is a problem for you, I believe there is the option at checkout to tick a box to indicate you’d like it concealed inside a plain box.

I haven’t actually used it for it’s intended purpose yet however, the wording of the descriptions on the packaging is amazing.

Even if the product does end up being a 1 star product, the packaging ensures it will remain a 5 star product in my eyes.

A very useful device. Flexibility is the key to its design and usage.

Arrived as expected. Beginning to use it, but it is a bit tricky to set up each time. Great when set up however!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersLike it however the bottom of the stand seems to scratch my office desk when moving back and forward so had to sellotape some cardboard under (I don’t plan on extending legs). Not ideal but can’t seem to find any nice tall laptop stands which don’t have same sort of bottom.
I use this product mainly as a stand for my laptop.

Like it but shame about leg material
