This rack took a while to assemble but it’s fairly easy and intuitive. Says 2 people but I managed on my own. Have used it for barbell squats, bench presses and glute bridges and have had no problem adjusting the height. Great piece of kit for the price!

I was looking at this for a while and bought while on sale. Its well worth the money for a squat/bench rack. Feels very solid and sturdy and doesn’t take up too much space. Assembly instructions could be better but easy enough.

Only problem for me was getting the right height for bench press. Could do with more adjustment to accommodate different arm lengths. I already had a bench and managed to reduce its height to suit but it was not easy to do. Other wise satisfied so fa

Good solid build quality and fully adjustable, so my partner who is 4’10” and uses a 5 foot bar has no problem with this squat rack, and I can easily adjust it and use it myself.

If your looking for a gym quality rack then this isn’t the one, however if your looking for a quality rack on a budget this is perfect. Assembly was easy enough I didn’t have any issues assembling it on my own in a dark garage. Its sturdy enough I’ve had 80kgs on the top and 100kgs on the bottom bars and it handled those with no issues. The difference between the height adjust holes I found a little too much especially doing bench press it was either just out of reach to raise the bar over the lip or lower than I would’ve liked it. Overall very good value for money.

A great addition to my newly home gym, easy to build and solid when built correctly.

Feels solid enough, went together without much hassle by myself, a second person to help balance parts would have been handy. Only knocked a point off as I feel for anyone over 6ft you might miss the stops racking a high bar squat. I’m 5’11 and its fine for me, but another inch or two and I would have to dip down to hit the stops walking forward.

I was lucky to get this when it had over 40 discount. The frame is easy to assemble even by one person and appears as sturdy as anything you would expect to see outside of a proper gymn. I see some people mentioning the metal buckling when tightening bolts. I don’t know if this is acutally the case as the build uses mild steel plates as bracing between the bolts and framework. These distort very easily if you overtighten the lock nuts at the end of each bolt. I thought at first I might have buckled the frame myself. But on removing the first plate that I had bending in, I found the tubular steel upright was in no way deformed. So I to straighten it I simply turned the plate around and tightned the bolts and nuts again until the plate was straight. If you do bend one of the plates you can just do this or leave it depending on how OCD you are (I’m very). Either way I think you can rest assured the main frame will be uncompromised. The spotter mounts seem sturdy and are a breeze to move either up or down the uprights as required. Only downside is that I was missing one small bolt from the packaging. This meant I had to leave off a handle which is used to move the stand or perfrom pressups. I contacted JX Fitness who are arranging a replacement part so no big deal in the end.

Bought this mainly for the price but built quality is exceptional. Easy to assemble and no problems with it yet. Used it regularly with the workout. The blue barbell rest seem to chip easily though with wear and tear. Apart from that no other issues.

The rack came well packaged, all parts wrapped in polythene bags, good instructions, took about an hour to erect but I did make a couple of creative detours which were my fault for not reading the instructions properly, but once I got them out of the recycling it was easy going! I don’t use a huge amount of weight but I can imagine the rack will suit most people, I expect the really serious lifter go to the gym anyway Happy lifting

Easy to put together, very sturdy. The only issue I have is the top supports where you put the bar when doing squats, it doesn’t have any rubber in the V joints so the metal bar rests on the metal holder, I have had to add some rubber inserts self so as not to scratch.

This is ideal for home workouts that utilise the barbell squats, bench press and so on. It’s sturdy and a nice open space in the center unlike most of the others I look at.

It’s a little more expensive than the budget ones, but definately worth it.

This was fairly straightforward to put together, I’m not the best at diy but it only took me a couple of hrs and that includes having to back track at one point to correct something I’d done wrong. I’ve tightened all the joints so that it’s very sturdy. I’m not using massive weights but up to c.70kg. Other reviewers have used more. The flexibility to move the width is great for the press up/dip handles. Overall, very happy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersProduct is great value for money, it is sturdy and very well built. However, my product arrived with cosmetic damage, such as scratches and removed paintwork – making the product look pre-used. Bought this as another addition for my home gym. It allows me to safely squat at much higher weights. Assembling took around 30 minutes, would be quicker if there were two of you working together. It is a pretty stable and solid piece of gym equipment. The height and width can be adjusted easily enough to suit your height and training purposes. I found for the price this was ideal for squats, dips, bench presses and push ups. I know there are similar and a lot more expensive equipment out there but for someone who is an amateur and starting off this is ideal. Only negative is the paint on the frame looks as if it may not last when knocked but that’s nothing major just wouldn’t recommend leaving outside. A tub of metal paint can easily fix it if required. For a home gym I would recommend this and for the price it’s just what I was looking for!

Arrived within 4 days of ordering, in one box which was easy to handle. Easy enough to assemble, if you have ever put together any flat pack furniture you will be able to follow these instructions and pictures i put it together on my own in about 30 mins. The rack is well made and feels robust enough for use in a home gym setup. I’m using it with a 6ft olympic bar and you can adjust the width to accomodate the size of bar you want to use. I have a bench to slide under for bench press exercise and then i can lift the arm supports for squats or shoulder press exercises. A really good home gym piece of equipment for the price, highly recommeneded for any home gym user.

To use bars loaded with any weight uprights need to be spread wide , than dip attachment are too far apart to use …you can of course close gap back up, but it’s not convenient, better would be adjusting on the dip bars eg. Dropping over to make up difference in space between.

  32. Anonymous says:

Pretty sturdy and ideal for when I can’t get to the gym.

Like a few the instructions are not fully clear although one of the sides had a label on saying it was the right side I managed to assemble it wrong as it wasn’t clear if it meant viewing it from the front or rear. Easy enough to dismantle and swap over without having to fully dismantle.

Used it a few times now and so far as doing squats. I have had the supports out to the fullest and only had to slightly duck down to get myself under my bar otherwise it’s perfect for me but if you are more than 5 ft 10 then you will have to duck further down.

It’s handy having the spotters too if you are struggling with your last rep when doing bench presses.

So all in all a good buy for my garage gym.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIf you lift up to 150kg and *maybe* higher this will do just fine.

Frame itself takes vertical pressure well.

It goes up to a good height for my squat needs, and the width adjustment is perfect for my smaller bar which was crucial.

I have heard concerns about dip handles being too far apart at most narrow setting but as a 6’2 man I found it usable at the setting before the lowest, though I do not trust dip handles on frames this affordable and small. I’d rather get a dedicated dip frame.

Adjustable bar between the catcher frames does its job, although it isn’t particularly sturdy. If you pick up one side of this thing it will twist significantly even when bolts are tightened well due to the number of connections. This doesn’t affect what it is designed for, just something to be careful of if you move it a lot. It is absolutely sturdy enough for squatting and benching, there were no wobbles or worries there at 100 – 150kg range.

Paint on the frame looks like it comes off relatively easily when knocked with the bar, and the metal looks like it might last four or five years safely. I would try to keep this in a dry environment, to delay internal rusting of the frame which isn’t coated with anything.

Very satisfied with it after my first few days using it. Great price, width adjustment helpful for different lifts, just an all round simple bargain for amateur lifters.

I know some of this review sounds negative but this was EXACTLY what I was looking for with my budget.

Does what it is designed for. Well.

Thanks to the madness of Covid, i struggled to get a new squat rack last year when i was trying to upgrade my home gym during lockdown. Turned to Amazon and found this. Was a little sceptical, but its turned out to be a great buy. Arrived quick, easy to put together and surprisingly sturdy. Id actually go as far as saying its better quality than previous kit ive bought from proper gym equipment retailers, including well known branded versions. I only have a few niggles with it, which are; 1. Dip station – I’m 6ft1, so have the rack set quite high to give a comfy squat starting position. This means the dip handles are about shoulder high, (unless i lower them). I can dip at that height, but as there is no central strut linking the 2 outer supports, my body weight pushes and flexes the supports outwards slightly. As such, i feel over time, this would weaken the fixings at the base of these. No issue for me as i have a proper dipping station already and dont need to use this. Suspect it would be fine if you had it set at a lower height too, as there would be far less leverage. 2. The weight plate storage arms are pretty tiny. Only hold 3/4 plates each side, which is a shame, as i could have done with more plate storage.
Regularly supporting ~100kg of weights with ease. I did have a quick strength test after assembling, placed a 100kg barbell on it and then my own body weight on the dip bars also, so a total of ~190kg, and it took it with ease. No signs of stress at all and felt sturdy as anything. Width and height are both adjustable if you need, which is very handy. Have been using now for several months and no complaints. Competitively priced at the best of times, but one of the only ones available at a ‘normal’ price during lockdown, so extra marks to the seller for that. Great bit of kit that ive been quite impressed with, would recommend.

This bench has the best intentions but little things largely decrease its value. Even at its narrowest setting it is still too wide to do tri dips unless your abnormally wide. You need a 6ft barbell for this bench. Any smaller and you won’t be able to use a correct grip width. Also when using a flat bench and having the arms on there lowest setting you can only just lift the barbell off with about an inch to spare. This is OK with a lite weight but if you lift heavy you will struggle.
The bench is OK for beginners but that’s about it.

It is a VERY sturdy piece of kit and I feel totally safe using it. It is excellent for bench pressing, squats, dips and press ups. It is relatively compact and great for a home gym like mine. Golden Review Award: 33 From Our UsersBought this as an interim to gyms opening in Wales so only a temporary solution while I’m away from a proper rack. I’m quietly impressed by the build quality. For the money it feels pretty solid, if the video uploads you can see how it deals with 180kg pretty happily.
One area it seems to be lacking in is adjustability, I’m relatively short and the bench feels pretty low but to squat in low bar the squat stand is a bit high. But it works so can’t really complain.
Goes narrow enough for the dip bars and press up handles to feel pretty comfortable and when not in use doesn’t take up a lot of space.

We have used this rack for about 2 months, 4 people of different sizes and weight lifting ability and it’s great. All I can say is that the bar is properly balanced on the top and when you remove your weight plates on one side (as one has to start one side surely) then the bar doesnt tip over. I have a small 8kg bar not a long Olympic 2ft barbell at home so that might help. I find the spotter hooks very useful (they are what I used to do bench press as it means you dont have to change the height of the rack between squats and bench press). Overall a great product.

I’ve been benching 100KG plus on it easy and it feels safe. You simply switch the spotters around for incline chest work. Brilliant bit of kit for such little money.. it actually makes spending 1k or so for a full power rack/squat rack completely pointless unless you are after the aesthetics of this look, or not in control of the bar when returning it after a set of squats.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersReally happy with this purchase, like many at the moment, I wanted something that I could use at home for a little home gym due to covid closing all the gyms.

I’m not a pro or anything when it comes to lifting but this bench suits all my needs perfectly. I’ve used it for bench press and squats so far.

It was relatively easy to assemble, it’s pretty straight forward. The metal is quite thick (hollow) but thick and feels sturdy. Once it’s all assembled there was a little bit of wiggle but I think that’s because I was lifting it up slightly.

The dip bars are also very good, I am 6’4 and weigh 120kg and it is able to take my weight, the push up grips are also a nice addition.

It’s quite handy to have the spot gaurd too so you can drop the weight back onto that if you’re struggling. I think they could do with being a little longer just in case but they’re fine.

Overall very happy with this purchase.
For anyone wondering about the other equipment, weights and bench are from mirafit and the barbell is 7ft 20kg from primal strength.

Exactly what I was looking for to keep fit during lockdown. Perfect for squats, overhead press etc. I combined it with a JX bench and it’s great for bench press. Looks cool too! Great value in my opinion and would recommend.

Arrived quickly. It is recommended 2 person assembly but I assembled it easily enough by myself.

Speed of delivery was ahead of predicted time.
Quite expensive for a standard piece of kit.
Stability is as expected of a squat stand for light use.
Like to touch of weight storage to olympic plates,
    Nice adjustably.

Absolutely amazing multi-function squat rack! Bought as a present for my Husband (who loves to attend the gym but can’t due to lockdown) and he says its the best thing ever! Does alot more than mentioned and the fact that it’s adjustable, is perfect for any small space. Worth every penny! Well made.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThe rack came quickly, was packaged well and all the parts are well manufactured and coated. I’ve used around 50kg on my bars makes lifting off easier that trying to roll the bar up your body to press. I found the catcher’s good so with no spotter they are a little bit of a safety blanket. I did find doing dips off the handles a little wide even with the rack on it’s narrowest setting. But no complaints with the rack so far so good.

    Good adjustable piece of ki

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersAfter prepping my Gym and using it over the last few months to avoid going to a public gym, i found myself in need of my own rack in order to help my bench presses and get in those all important squats.

I’ve placed this so that i can use it with or without my bench so the bench just slides under perfectly, it goes great and actually looks like a public / upgraded gym once in place.

Putting it together took about 30-40 mins, this is purely down to doing it on my own and the fact the pieces are quite heavy / sturdy. It may be best to have someone with you to set it up to avoid any mistakes. The instructions are clear enough to allow even myself to put it together without too much thinking.

If you’re like me and worry a bit about getting to gyms in the current environment but don’t want to use sub standard equipment, then this is the way to go.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersPurchased this to go into my sons new home gym over lockdown. So far we are really impressed with the product. It’s a solid construction and was really simple to assemble. You are able to use it for both legs and chest if you wish and considering how much a single bench or a rack would cost alone I think that this product is really good value for money. The only upgrade I think you would get from this product would be a full cage but you would be looking well over double the price. Currently using it with a 7ft Olympic bar and it’s very happy to hold 100kg so far. Really happy.

    Great price
