Setting up was OK , You get a USB stick with computer drivers on, It was printing very light grey at first but turned out it was the labels I had not the printer, Now I got some better labels it prints perfect clear black labels.

Would 100% recommend for someone wanting to make their online business quicker and smoother, I use Royal Mail Click and Drop, I log in, Buy postage, Pay, labels download, Click on download and print, stick label on bag or box = Job done.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersPrinter arrived and was well packed. I have Windows and tried to install the driver with the supplied thumb drive. My ‘free’ anti virus software immediately detected a virus and quarantined it- So now, it is removed from the thumb drive(quarantined by my anti-virus software)! I went to the manufacturer’s website and downloaded it. That was fine- worked as expected. Not the most user friendly, but the printer is printing labels and I am overall happy with the results. I hope my antivirus software is just detecting a false problem, but I am still curious as to why the driver on their website is ‘clean’ and the thumb drive version is so dirty! BEWARE!

I needed an inexpensive thermal printer to produce inventory labels for my 3D printing filaments. Since I wasn’t going to use it for anything else, I wanted cheap. I chose the Vretti for price.

When I opened the box, the printer was larger than expected. It was easy to set up. Unbox, plug in the power adapter and USB cable, and the printer was ready to go. Driver installation was flawless. It was easy to see that the manufacturer had taken a lot of effort on their driver. Less than a minute and the printer showed under Devices and Printers. Easy peasy.

I was pretty amazed at the performance. I printed a string of 37 labels and they printed in about three seconds. Those labels shoot out! The labels look good. Print is clear with no artifacts.

What really surprised me was that two days after receiving the printer, the vendor contacted me by email to make sure I wasn’t having any problems. Well, the problem was in finding inexpensive label printing software. Back in the day, label printers came with their own software. Most of what I found was very expensive (over $200 for a label maker???) or simply didn’t work. I settled on Maestro, which is free if you buy their labels.

If you are looking for a decent label printer, I don’t think you can do much better than Vretti.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWorks well with Linux/CUPS. You’ll need the PPD and filter program from 6printer.com. The PPD contains quite a few options (more than I was expecting).

As you’d expect this is an OEM generic label printer. It’s original mfg/model is 4BARCODE 4B-2054L. You can search online for a better user manual then the one Vretti provides.

One thing to note: Since the “diagnostic program” is Windows only, you’ll need to align your labels gap sensor EVERY TIME you open the top (even when powered off, there must be an open sensor).

To do this: with the printer powered off hold down the button and then power on, keep held until the LED starts to blink red. This will trigger a gap detection and then advance to the next label. After that it remembers location even after future power cycles (until you open the top again).

Golden Review Award: 54 From Our UsersI was really impressed with how well it was protected in the package and fast after sales support. Printer was easy to connect to USB. I contacted support on email and they sent me a youtube link. It is on how to set up printer via USB.
I was excited about using this printer and printed my 1st label and it worked very well,by this point. Highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 43 From Our UsersI bought this printer when it had 3.3 stars and I was kind of worried but it it is much easier i expected. Printer is packaged very well and it show the printer, power adapter, power cable, usb cable, manual and the disk drive well…my laptop doesn’t have a disk so I have to contacted them through email and was sent the official website “6printer.com” to download the software. The tech guy that answered me on email was so helpful!
It is easy to set up and I’m very satisfied with the vretti shipping label printer.

Golden Review Award: 57 From Our UsersAppearance:
This is a nice looking printer. I grew tired of printing shipping labels out and I thought this would be a good solution.

    Assembly:
Nothing to it. Open the package and hook up the power cable and USB cable.

    Installation:
This printer comes with a USB stick that includes all the software that you need. It’s not very clear which order and which items you need to install, but it was nice to have all the software you need to quickly start printing labels.

    Thoughts:
I wish there was a quicker and easier way to print out shipping labels. Something like a “send this to thermal printer” option. I couldn’t find something simple like that, so I’m content with using Windows built in “snip and sketch” tool to copy the label and to paste the label into Vretti’s software, “4Barcode.”

    Overall:
Simple, easy to use. I wish this would have arrived with a starter roll of labels. For some silly reason I thought it would come with a few labels. I ended up ordering some from Amazon and I waited for those to arrive before I started testing. That is certainly nothing I can hold against Vretti though. Good addition to my office equipment. My color printer thanks me for adding this new printer.

Golden Review Award: 50 From Our UsersI ordered this thermal label printer to cut back on the use of ink and toner for shipping labels. It was a nice, compact roll-fed device which seemed perfect for my needs. Installation seemed straightforward as the manufacturer included a small usb thumbdrive with the owners full manual and drivers, in the box. I followed the installation sequence in the owners instruction setup guide but ran into a serious (at the time) issue. Following installation on my Win-10 64bit machine, I printed a test print from the included software but as you can see in the image I shot, it really doesn’t tell me much at all about what it can do. I ran into further issues when I realized that my tried and true (?) shipping desktop app didn’t include the print format for thermal roll labels. I tried to use the USPS site, but that didn’t work either. Finally, I was able to get a finely detailed sample label printed from the shipping app’s website. If you have roll labels on hand and know how you’re going to produce a test, add a star. I also made the mistake of trying to load a micro SD card in the slot identified as a Micro SD card slot in the back of the machine. Turns out the slot isn’t connected with anything and the micro card just fell inside the casing. I’ll have to figure out how to get the case open to retrieve it, but all that said, it’s a good, compact machine and the Vretti tech folks are very helpful. Also remember than in Win-10 64bit, you must power up your usb connected printers BEFORE you boot up. Now, I’ll never forget.

Golden Review Award: 50 From Our UsersArrived in time and it comes with the U disk easy to install and great for my business. This is the biggest time saver for label printing, I love how convenient it is! I don’t need to go to logistic shops to print stuff out. I like how it has sliding adjustable tabs for different size labels and the print quality is good. I would highly recommend this to anyone who does a lot of shipping.

Golden Review Award: 43 From Our UsersThe printer arrived well-packaged and without any damage. We managed to figure it out fairly quickly and, once connected to the laptop, it worked well, as it should. We use it for Etsy shipping labels, and it works just fine, as you would expect. Overall, there is nothing to complain about.
