It was very easy to install. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. It does exactly what we want and having a gate opener is fantastic. No more getting out of the car in the rain to open the gate! We love it. Such good value for money.
Bought this gate opener and had an issue with it after a few weeks. Toptens made it their priority to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Low price does not always equal low service. Highly recommend

I recently installed the TOPENS A5 Electric Swing Gate Opener Kit, the ET24 Automatic Electric Gate Lock, and the DPS180-U Waterproof AC 110V-240V to DC 24V Power Supply. The installation instructions were comprehensive and clear for the DIY person. I also found the TOPENS support staff to be very helpful when I had occasion to email them for advice. The system itself works well on my relatively large wooden farm gate, for which the A5 unit seems more than powerful enough and is straightforward to use. I highly recommend this gate opening system as a good value for money solution for automating a driveway gate.
Took a couple of hours but easy to install. Seems pretty solid. Instructions are generally pretty easy to follow.
Really happy with this gate opener for the money. Install was dead easy. Operation is very quiet and so far rock solid reliable. Running of 2 x 12v batteries which seems to work very well and of course makes it immune to power cuts.
One standout feature is the adjustable stops – rather than mechanical these are electrical which makes adjustment very easy and very accurate. Have paired it with the ET24 lock which was again dead easy to install and comes with everything required including the little accessory board (which i wasn’t expecting)
We purchased this gate opener together with all the additional bits to work with the gate system. The system is very user friendly and easy to install. After installation of the photo beams the gate had a few issues with the beams not operating correctly. The company were immediately onto the issue and with a few simple tests analysed the issue being a faulty beam. They replaced the beams the next day and the gate is operating correctly. The customer service is the best you could ask for with immediate responses. I would highly recommend this company and there products
The instructions were very well put together and the whole system worked straight away without any issues.
Bought the mover, external power supply and extra key fobs. All arrived earlier than anticipated and well packaged.
Instructions are “okay” if you have a little electrical knowledge.
Biggest downside is the terrible design of the main control box. For some crazy reason the cable apertures are in the lid rather than the base, and there is very little excess space for the cables to coil up in the box itself.
I would recommend using a g clamp to temporarily fix the end of the actuator to the gate until you have tested the system to ensure your positioning is good before drilling the gate.
Function is really good, seems to work from a good distance and action is smooth, quiet and reasonably quick. The stalling force seems to be a bit high even on the lowest setting, but I haven’t tested it properly yet.
Overall an excellent product and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
I purchased this and the electronic lock. I consider myself a reasonably comment DIYER and found it easy to set up following the video and the included instructions. The range of the remote is very impressive.
I had a problem recently after the strong winds we had here and the support I received was very impressive. They took me through, step by step to identify the cause, and once identified quickly sent out a replacement part.

I purchased this single opener as well as a double one for a neighbour. They arrived very quickly and were installed with the help of the thorough instructions. The single opener had a slight programming problem so I contacted the suppliers. They returned my email within 24 hours and sent me out a replacement part within a couple of days. All rams now working fine. Customers are very happy.
I fitted this to my son-in-laws gate, it works really well as I’d expect, having fitted one to my gate a year ago. It may be considered a bit slow by some, but the remote range compensates for that (you’ll need to extend the aerial wire through one of the glands)
The gate opener was well packaged and came with clear and concise fitting instructions. The Topens Service Team are very helpful and reply to any query very quickly with helpful and useful information. I would use them again.
I bought this for Christmas and installed it myself in a couple of hours. I found the instructions were easy to follow and setup. We only had a slight problem with the remote but topens customer service were brilliant sorting it out and their response time is second to none. They really can’t do enough to help you. All sorted and working as it should. 10/10 for everything.
I have it operating a gate across my driveway. A remote in my car for when coming home and a bell push indoors to operate before going out. I intend to operate it with my smart home kit to operate automatically when coming home with Siri or Alexa; I will have my Ring camera watching it though, to make sure it is clear.
Will add a video of it all installed if I can.

I fitted an electronic lock as an afterthought and had some issues getting it to work correctly with the gate. Customer service was exceptional. Response was always within 24 hrs and the advice was friendly and helpful.

I think it does the job well and is a good product,
I would of liked the wand, and photo cells to be available with the gate opener,
But had to source them else where the wifi pads you can get here
Fitted easily to large driveway wooden gate via mains power, and it comfortably opens and closes tightly. I did need to check with the Topens support on install who answered query very promptly. Additional Fobs and wireless keypad also took just a few minutes to setup.

Straightforward to order via Amazon and included were simple to follow instructions. I found that I needed an electric lock; model ET24. I think this should have been included as it is an essential part as without it, even in light winds, the gate will slightly open.
I have installed two A5 Topens gate openers as the first was so easy to install and is proving very reliable. I installed both with the Topens DPS180-U Power Supply, photobeams and Topens lock. The instructions are all very comprehensive and easy to follow. I did have a problem with the second opener and the clutch mechanism not engaging but the customer service from Topens by email was excellent with photos and instructions received to sort out the problem within a few hours and the gate is now working perfectly. Advice and explanation was good, pictures helped and the speed of Topens response great!
I fitted this to a field hate and it was very difficult due the the gate and post not being in line as all field gates are hung like this.
The control box failed so a new one was sent within a week.
I’d say you need to be a competent DIYer to fit this and have patience. Once up and running works very well.
The remote range is brilliant I can press the phob way over 50m away and open the gate. Also the gate open much quicker than I expected.
You really have to buy 2 x 12v batteries and wire them up in line to make a 24v battery. And you really must then hard wire the unit to the mains. This only charges the batteries though. Which if you think about it is correct because if you have a power cut you can still operate the gate.

Great product, easy to fit and amazing support. They answer your emails in 24 hours and do a great job. I bought two systems, one for my drive gate and one for pedestrian gate.
Great product, easy to install in a couple of hours. Will make life so much easier for my elderly grandparents. Had the add on bits to make installation even easier. I say easier, for the very competent DIYer that installed it.
The gate arm arrived on time. Instructions were included and were emailed as well.
The trickiest part of the installation was finding the correct position. Once there the rest is easy.
I fitted it on reinforced wooden post and gate. And I’m impressed by the quality of the product and ease of installation. I hooked up to an existing 24v supply I had. Thoroughly recommend this product.
Have replaced old 240V electric gate kit, with new 24V kit.
the electric lock was added as the wooden gates can flex, so this secures as some people can’t read signs!!

I found this product very easy to install with clear straight forward instructions it appears to be of reasonable construction and a excellent price I purchased mine from Amazon it was easy and delivered a couple of days early I do feel it is a shame that only one remote control is included in the kit I have the topens A5 however I am very happy with my new electric gate opene
This is a great product, easy to install. The instructions are very clear and it is all fairly straight forward.
The kit includes 1 remote control which in my view is not enough: with 2 remote controls you have a spare one in case the first one fails. The remote control operating range is excellent: I didn’t have to fit the control box outside.
I also added a wireless keypad, again very easy to program, with a suitable frequency range.
If you need gate automation this is an excellent product at a very competitive price.
Gate opener regrettably had a fault when out of guarantee. Informed Topens and Irene (Customer Service) replied straight away with full explanation of what could be wrong. After carrying out the tests suggested, Topens immediately supplied replacement parts free of charge.

Great product, easy to fit and top value. You need to buy the power box at the same time as this means you can connect direct to mains. After some fiddling it works a treat.
This is my second one of these after the first one broke in a storm.
It’s simple enough to setup yourself and needs a bit of messing around with to get right.
Amazon replaced the initial one without a problem so hopefully this one does a bit better with some extra support.
You will need inverted to connect to mains that doesn’t come with it.
Pleased with the gate opener. Only glitch is in windy weather it forces the gate open.
