Q&A
- Question 1: Can I add more cameras to this system?
Yes. You can add more (only ZOSI) 8MP, 5MP, or 2MP POE Bullet or dome cameras. But the total number of cameras connected to the NVR should not exceed 8.
Noted:
This PoE NVR only supports ZOSI WiFi Camera with a particular model (Ethernet Cable Connection), if you want to add a wifi camera to this NVR, please contact customer support first.
- Question 2: How to get the 4K 8.0MP resolution:
(1) Please make sure that your TV monitor is 4K or better than 4K resolution, and connect the NVR to your TV monitor.
(2) Setup the system, and go to Main Menu- Set up-Basic to change the “Video Output” to “3840 * 2160” manually.
Noted:
The default setting of the NVR is 1024 x 768.
If the monitor resolution is lower than 4K, then the system will not show the 4K resolution.
- Question 3: Why can’t I hear audio when watching live on NVR?
1. The NVR can transmit audio only when the monitor/TV is connected via HDMI cable, otherwise the monitor/TV will have no sound output.
2. Click the right mouse button -Go to Main Menu- Set up – Click the audio, you can adjust the volume and select the channel to play the audio.

Great CCTV system
This is my second Zosi system I have bought, the first being a few years ago. The design was great back then, but has improved a lot more since!
It arrives neatly packaged as you can see in the picture I have taken to show a close up of the camera.
The design has been thought out down to the small details of installation such as a small bracket that is easy to install when up a ladder to then just attach the camera.
The software was updated not to long ago meaning mobile and PC access to your system is smooth and easy!
The quality of this camera is great, both during the day and at night.
I would definitely recommend this system!

Very helpful aftersales team
Had the cameras set up and had an issue with my connections going to a switch. Our switch seemed to be causing an issue. The friendly team offered to send out new equipment vut it wasnt the issue. Once we changed our switch the cameras worked fine. Since purchased more cameras. System and aftersales is great.

This works well. The image quality is very good indeed.
I like it that the Hard Drive is so large – 2Tb That is not useful just for going on holiday but also for viewing historical footage when you realise something happened but only days after the event.

I’m still having trouble at night with the motion blur in moving objects finding it hard to identify other than that i can’t complain, and i also must state the customer services and support is great at zosi i can’t fault them.

Wanted to upgrade old cctv system as cameras were old. looked around for different systems, found the Zosi 16 channel nvr with 8 4k cameras provided including accessories. easily installed got up and running in no time. far better quality images through the day and night. Noticed after a day or so one camera did not work, contacted support, advised by Hugh that camera will require to be sent back, effortless return process, Hugh arranged another alternative camera supplied same resolution and features. connected camera into system and it is working okay. so everything is now working as should be. Hugh at support informed me during every step of process.

The most amazing cameras that were so easy to install
The cameras give the most detailed close up pictures and videos and genuinely distinguish between motion and human movement cutting out false alarms. I damaged a lead and Rainbow replaced it for me straight away. They were able to guide me through any installation problems I had. Great product and great service.

Excellent 8mp CCTV system for a great price
The 8mp CCTV system is fantastic for the price.
The picture quality for day and night vision is good, the intelligent night vision works well and the lights are bright enough to illuminate the field of vision.
Once plugged in and wired the system works straight out of the box, you just need to alter the setting to your personal preference.
The motion detection and humanoid detection both work well, with two cats the humanoid function stops false alarms and triggers. The areas of detection can be altered via a grid system on the dvr menu.
The app and DVR interface are basic but allow you to easily customise the systems setup.
The technical support is also great and they respond quickly, I have a few queries whilst setting up the system which they prompt resolved.
I have only had the cameras set up outside for a month so cannot comment on durability yet but the build quality seems good.
I upgraded from 4mp WiFi cameras before this and the sharpness of image and picture quality is noticeably better.
All in all for the price you can’t go wrong with this system.
Easy to install and value for money
Bought this system for a customer that wanted great value and a good camera system installed and this one was great, plug and play and Internet was a doddle, hence I bought another for new customer wanting the same and I’m currently installing it for them and finish today. 1tb hard drive is ample storage for motion detection and constant recording. Will definitely buy again and maybe I can be sponsored lol. But great system.

Very good system for the money. Great clear picture day and night. Customer support I can say is brilliant aswell. Aimee from the support team was great in assisting me with a couple of issues. Only downside to the system for me is there is no video masking and setting the motion detection zones is poor. Overall good system.

Fantastic set!
Old school CCTV which need to be wired to the box. Crystal clear images even in night vision. I love that it records sound to. Sensors work well and alert to movement. You can view from a mobile device. A good set up for protection of premises at a very reasonable price
Bargain Home CCTV System
I’ve had a Zosi system for almost 7yrs, its never let me down and I always considered it a great value home system, it was only 720p but adequate for my needs/budget. I saw this one an Amazon at a great price and with my previous experience of Zosi it was a no brainer to upgrade to the 1020p 2TB system. It was also very handy that I was able to re use the BNC cables already in place and just swapped out the cameras. Set up was very easy – just followed the links and it was done! Even better, my old 8camera system is going to be reinstalled at my nephews! Great picture, easy set up and fantastic value in my opinion. I’d have no reservation recommending this system to anyone thinking about it!
Great compact CCTV system for home or small office use
Upon first receiving this and setting it up, I did notice that one of the cameras sounded like a baby rattle, quite odd, as to my knowledge there shouldn’t be anything in the cameras casing that makes this kind of sound. I dug deeper and it turns out one of the silica gel packets inside the camera had split causing it to make a rattling sound.
I simply emptied the silica gel crystals out of the camera and placed a new pack in there that I had laying around, to make sure it didn’t end up getting moisture inside. However I do understand that this shouldn’t really be a thing on a brand new product.
With this replaced I went about setting the cameras and the control box up.
Relatively straight forwards but it does however require some strong cable management skills if you’re fussy about hiding the wires properly.
With 2 of the 4 cameras attached to the wall, and the other two plugged in to test, as I wasn’t sure where I should install them I started the device up and got to testing.
Pros:
The image is great quality. Looks just like a professionally installed kit.
The recording size is small enough that you will always be able to cycle back through the looped recordings.
The DVR system is easy to use and comes with a mouse to navigate through various features. It’s also pretty compact so won’t use a lot of space on a desk or can be placed underneath a desk or unit.
1TB hard drive is quite standard these days but offers plenty of storage space. I’m not 100% sure yet as I’m still testing but I think around 14 days for 2 cameras at 24fps, medium quality 1080p resolution. The whole 4 cameras would take around a week to fill(remember it loop records so you should always be able to scrub back to the previous 7 days or so)
HDMI compatible so it can be connected to almost any monitor or even TV.
Has smartphone connectivity so that you are able to check into the camera while you’re out and about.
PIR detection makes it easy to detect movement in your garden and the LED floodlight does a good job of making things more visible. Night vision makes it pretty impossible for someone to approach unnoticed under the cover of darkness as it’s a proper IR night vision.
The mic quality is more than acceptable but could do with some improvement.
There’s many other good points to this system but I would spend the entire day writing stuff out that you probably aren’t particularly interested in knowing.
Cons:
Lack of wifi limits where in the home this can be positioned as it requires an Ethernet cable. Again, if you’re good with cable management you can make it work.
It only has one way audio. In the past I stopped a would be burglar from entering my house through use of a speaker in the camera itself. I don’t like the uncertainty of being completely powerless in this situation.
Aside from that(those were purely preferential and don’t affect the product as it’s intended to be used so have no affect on rating, just good for a need to know) this is an amazing bit of kit that will deter most criminals. Firstly they will see the slight glow of the PIR, this immediately tells them that they are being watched. From then on, should the get closer the light will arm and the alarm if you have it enabled. Personally I don’t as we have a lot of cats around the back alley that would more than likely trigger said alarm. For me the CCTV stays on loop recording mode, just as the one we use at work.
Strongly recommend this system as it performs as good as much more expensive systems. No issues except for the split silica gel pack inside one camera.
Good value and good system
Self installed with no issues. Great 4K quality, night vision is good. Very sensitive motion detector even on lowest setting so tuned off notifications! The app works well. Need Ethernet to make it run online, I bought a WiFi extender for 15 with the Ethernet port and works great.

Cost effective and great quality…… had an issue with the DVR after about 8 months of working fine, customer support was great, Ella resolved everything over what’s app within 2 weeks, replacing faulty DVR…. thank you

This is my second cctv, The quality is great and setting up is easy. You can zoom in can read number plates 15m away. Connecting phone is bit slow and takes few seconds to load up that’s to be expected with that resolution. On 4k TV there is no delay and picture is clear.

The system was fairly easy to set up and we had no issues initially. Unfortunately the DVR developed a fault with the power supply. The customer service centre specifically Cathy, was very helpful and prompt in troubleshooting and ultimately replacing the DVR.
Playback issue resolved thanks to Bill and Fannie from suppo
This was an easy system to install and navigate round, picture quality is spot on and also gives alot of options to record like motion detection, pir and area selection although i prefer 24/7 recording.
There were some issues after i installed 2 of these systems, each having trouble with playback on the app. The app just wouldnt playback any video, so after two weeks of emails floating back and to, with no fault of zosi support, just time difference as in hong kong, the issues were resolved and now im 100% happy with this product. Thanks to Bill and Fannie from zosi support, always promt with replies, proffesional and polite.
Good hardwired system
As a hardwired system it does take some effort to install. Good image, software takes a bit of work to set up but once done it is good. This is my second system in second property.

This is a great product! Easy to install and set up on pc app & with mobile app, need to have a monitor as well ideally. Picture quality is excellent especially when in play back and zoomed in. Had a chat with their support via WhatsApp and they resolved very quickly and were very helpful, Rainbow my contact helped me there.

Got this system as the price was reasonable, doing some research on YouTube about Zosi showed me that it was a good purchase.
This system puts a lot others to shame from what I can tell, easy to install with enough cabling you could stick a camera on the moon if you wanted.
Day time vision is brilliant I can read license plates from a fair distance off.
The night vision is very clear and crisp close up which is what I need, and installation was easier than clicking the purchase now button.
Thanks to “Rainbow” for helping me get my hands on this kit as DPD lost it for a week.
I cant fault Zosi for DPD’s actions but I cant blame DPD for the loss either, Covid19 has affected us all.
Great value
The system works, it is a great value for money. The app is a bit glitchy, the desktop app too (iphone/mac). The DVR failed after a year, however the after care of the product is amazing. Slina was very responsive and arranged a replacement DVR in no time and offered support on retrieving the footage from the old system. Overall Slina’s service made it a great product for me. Zosi keep up with a good support team, it makes the difference.

Ok, was looking for a great value 1080p CCTV system and decided on this one as reviews and customer service are rated highly. After some minor issues with the DVR unit itself all is well now and so pleased with the live pictures and recorded images. Would like to say a massive thank you to Anran in customer services at Zosi for all his quick responses to emails and technical help with the new firmware update.

The App works well with wifi but not on 4G but that could be down to my signal.
I had a couple of issues with the picture freezing and with me having to reboot the system every day
but that was soon cleared up with the after sales team.
I was sent a replacement DVR and everything works perfect, I could not fault the after sales they 10 out of 10
and they were always in touch.
If you are looking for an easy installation and system this is for you and Zosi were great to deal with.
