Ourons Neem Oil – Direct From India
Not all neem oil is the same. Different geographical locations, weather, gene of the seeds, extraction methods and so on all have an impact on the end quality of the neem oil produced. Extracts from trees grown in different parts of the world show differing levels of active properties. Ourons neem oil is the finest extracted neem oil.
Ourons Neem Oil comes direct from India. Pressed from the finest seeds of the neem tree, also known as Azadirachta indica. The neem tree is considered to have divine properties and is native to India and very commonly grown.
Nutrient Rich High Quality Neem – Many uses including skin care, hair care, soap making, candle making, crafts, home and garden.
At cold temperatures it is solid and will need warming to liquify, During the warming process our neem oil can appear lumpy, this is natural and as expected. Continue to warm and it will turn into a flowing liquid format.

Smaller than I thought but brilliant all the same. My plant had thrips, I used this and after one application they are dead and gone, so worth its weight in gold. Love this stuff. Very happy with my purchase
This can go solid if it’s left in a cold garage and will have to be warmed up before trying to dilute it.
It works well to get rid of bugs on plants, but it really stinks!
Requires lots of dilution so it will last forever – good value for money. Effective in treating sick plants without killing them. Highly recommend this product. Remember to use gloves. There’s a strong smell but tolerable.
Yes, it stinks. I’ve got well over 100 houseplants. Here my recipe:
One litre water
One and a half teaspoons of neem oil
One tea spoon Castille soap/baby shampoo
Mix well, pour into spray bottle. Shake. Spray on plant directly or onto a cloth. Ensure to clean BOTH sides of the leaves. Do this regularly. You’re welcome!
Great Value and much better than buying premade neem oil spray for plants, we mixed 2ml dish soap with one litre of warm water then added 5ml neem oil, working well and won’t need to buy anymore for ages now, some have said it smells but I’ve not noticed anything unpleasa
After reading the reviews, I thought id be fine with the smell. OH MY WAS I WRONG. Even using the tinyest amount mixed with water and soap in a spray bottle it still fills the room with a strongggg smell.
Apart from the smell im very happy with it. super easy to melt down (I fill up a glass of hot water and place the bottle in for a couple seconds, melts super quick)
ive sprayed it a couple times now on my monstera which has thrips and ive hardly seen any thrips now.
I was recommended this oil to get rid of a plague of fungus gnats we’ve got. From reading other reviews I knew it was going to smell but it actually wasn’t that bad. I squeezed some in to a water bottle and filled with warm water to melt the oil and shook it. Then sprayed the soil around the plants. I also used sticky fly catchers and between the two the gnats seem to have gone. I will keep using the spray to help keep the gnats away.
Neem oil is said to have many uses, including hair care, repel insects etc, though I have never tried it for that. I was recommended it when I had an attack of sooty mould on a plum tree for 2 consecutive years, ruining my crop. The following year I treated the plum tree with Neem Oil spray and a root wash and I had no sign of any fungus. I think it is amazing stuff. Highly recommend it for sooty mould, and probably good for other diseases. And very safe to use.
Works well, I use it for preventing mold with my carnivorous plants since I have pets I can’t use normal fungicides anymore but Neem oil seems to be even more effective than them anyway and the most this would do if ingested by a pet is upset their stomach a little.
1 teaspoon with a good amount of water in a spray bottle, however if anyone else wants to use it this way I recommend doing it outside as the smell is very strong even when diluted.
Neem oil
Haven’t used yet but got it for my plants as I heard it helps control pest and bugs, fingers crossed it works, arrived quickly and didn’t leak, smells OK not too offensive, cheapest I have found
I have been having terrible infestations of fungus gnats and spider mites for 6 months on my very expensive indoor plants.
I used this neem oil, diatomaceous earth, washing up liquid with water in an electric sprayer to treat all plant matter and soil.
The next day my plants had a thin layer of dust all over them and I could immediately feel the problems are nearly solved. Great protection over winter. I can’t believe how easy this made resolving these extremely bad problems. The neem oil is a little smelly so peppermint oil on top would help with that.
I used 2 table spoons used to 1 litre. Re-spray every 3 days over 9 days. All will be gone!
Absolutely perfect solution.
I am not going to lie it smells horrible but it does the job. I mixed it with fairy liquid and water and sprayed my monstera. Leaves are very shiny. Don’t spray your plants it in the shower (like me) as it makes it slippy
The only thing I’ve found, so far, that actually gets rid of these bugs without having to repot everything all the time!
Yes, it does have a slight smell to it. To me, it resembles onion peels that have sat in the food waste bin for a few days. I spray the plants outside so I don’t get it everywhere. A bit of smell for no bugs? I’d take that!
I messed up mixing this first, I used way too much and the smell was unbearable and made my nose water so don’t be a wally like me and only use a little bit. This bottle will last ages!
This product should come with a warning, it is very toxic and should not be inhaled! I inhaled it and it made me feel very sickly and gave me a dry throat!
I also wish it came with recommendations on how to use it/the ratio of water to oil.
Aphids are the problems, on a dozen rose bushes/plants causing around 50% buds to fail to open as the aphids chew and drink, similarly decimate a cherry tree, reducing blossom by 90% and leading to a yield of 1 cherry a year. Last year towards the end of the season applied directly to the aphids as an emulsion and watered into the ground, this reduced the population but the infestation was too great.
This year I’ve been applying to the trunk/stem, this stops ants positioning live stock to farm honeydew from! It works great, never seen an ant cross a band of around an inch. The buds are just opening on the Cherry and the new leaves beginning to open on the roses, all of them would have heavy aphid presence by now, this year nothing.
Pop the tub in the microwave with the lid off for 15s then paint about 10p coin worth onto the stems of several plants, this uses very little for maximum benefit. Will probably continue to water in an emulsion too.
This oil is so effective against buds. I noticed that aphids decreased noticeably. I used neem oil before and I know it is effective. Just add drops of washing liquid with water and drops of this oil, which will naturally remove bugs. the scent of this oil is very strong and stays in the spray bottle for a long time, which is what is required to get rid of bugs. I do recommend this oil to everyone.
I dunked the bottle in some hot water to melt it and then diluted 1 tablespoon of this in a spray bottle with washing up liquid and water.
It makes my plant leaves super glossy and healthy-looking and it’s killed the soil mites in my Monstera and is getting rid of mealy bugs on my Kentia palm. It smells pretty odd but this doesn’t hang around long. Best value I’ve seen.
A little goes a long way used with almond oil and cedar wood oil to combat a flea problem within an hour no live fleas and the smell alone should stop them coming back , not the nicest smell but does the job will be definitely buying more handy to have just in case
Totally worked!
My trees had some sort of white residue on the branches that I thought might be some kind of tree mold. I tried sprays from the garden centre and they didn’t really work so I brought this. Stuck it in a spray bottle with water and shook it vigorously to dissipate it a bit as it’s oily, then sprayed the trees. Fungus was gone almost instantly and a month later still hasn’t returned. Very pleased indeed!
Neem oil
Loved it . Great for my skin I made my own body butter with this neem oil in it first for blemishes dry sky very deep nourishme
It works
I have been using Neem oil mixed with Eco washing liquid to spray my roses throughout this summer to stop them being eaten and to improve their health. Amazingly it’s worked my roses have blossomed and it’s improved their overall appearance and health.
Did a good job!
Helped get rid of the thrips on my house plants along side a shower spray.
Controls bugs on my plants
Bought a plant which turned out to be infected with mealy bugs and was suggested neem oil as a more organic solution than modern pesticides.
A few drops mixed with washing up liquid and water, and a few sprayings later, and it definitely does the job! No more mealy bugs and my prayer plant is looking healthy!
Brilliant value for money
Two applications done to my crop and it was goodbye infestation of mites. I personally didn’t think the smell was that nice but it bothered the bugs a lot more than it bothered me. Would recommend.
Boy this is stinky
Yeah it smells but idc if it works. I tried so many things to get rid of fungus gnats – and this definitely helped But was also the worst of all the methods. After a solution of this, water, and dish soap i applied liberally to the plants. It smells bad – the gnats seemed indifferent at times – and other times seemed visibly distressed. I’m not sure if it worked or not, but I have none now. Sticky fly pads are the best method – but in conjunction with this you will be winning the battle. Good luck out there
Works really well with the plant fly ninja sticky traps. Good value for money, add a few capfuls to warm water in a spray bottle and spray top soil but better to wipe the leaves with the solution to avoid spraying the furniture/walls/surrounding areas. Repeat the process every 4-5wks to keep pesky gnats at bay. Same can’t be said for fruit flys, they need Apple Cider Vinegar solution in a dish. It smells a bit oily but it’s not too unpleasant.
I used 15ml neem, a tiny bit of dish soap (just enough to emulsify, barely any) for 1 litre. Apparently it can be made stronger than that but it worked well for me.
I don’t think it directly kills the pests, just stops them feeding and moves them on/starves them.
Smells faintly of Walnuts, which I didn’t expect! Good value.
I used this oil for multiply purposes. As a spray for my roses, as an ingredient for skin with psoriasis (acts very quickly for even bad cases) and use it on the spider and insects bites to stop the itch and prevent infection. I actually love the smell. It reminds me of cucumbers in brine my mum used to make kind of a childhood smell
Used neem oil on lots of different problems
It’s a pain because when it’s cold the neem oil solidifies. But I have used it on roses, a lemon tree and dahlias, all came good. Didn’t notice the smell as I mixed it outside.
Works well against spider mites for sensitive plants
Warmed in warm water, and used with peppermint oil for spider mites since plant was very sensitive, worked well and were dead in 2 days.
Life saver for citrus plants
However it does smell a bit, but I didn’t buy it for the smell
Used on plants
I mixed with fairy and It cleared the bugs off my plants.
Seems to work...
No instructions on how to use so I put some in some warm water and sprayed it on my plants. It seemed to help and there are not so many bugs on the plants bioth inside and ou
Works
My tree had scale insect. Sprayed the insects for a couple of days until turned white, then scrapped them off. Definitely recommend it.
Good stuff
Worked on my plants as they had little bugs on them, cleared away in a day.
The mix is 500ml of warm water in a salon quality mist spray bottle a couple of drops of washing up liquid, shake bottle, there should be nearly suds in the bottle, if loads of suds you have used to much soap. Then a quarter teaspoon of neem oil. A really good shake and it’s ready. Remember it’s shake and spray, shake and spray and keep shaking.
Not sure it worked
Told to mix with water, which seems counterintuitive and not sure if it has the desired effect on our fruit trees as there was no change in their conditio
Great for keeping the kind of bugs you don’t want lurking in your vegetables at bay. Works perfect as a soil drench and kills white mold. I expected the bottle to be bigger but 2 tea spoons to one litre of water does go a long way
I use this in my garden, mixed with water and a little dish washing liquid. I sprayed a rhododendron covered with whitefly and seemed to have solved the problem. Sprayed on roses and the aphids are gone. Have also used it to treat rust on a willow tree but it’s too soon to tell if it has worked. The smell is quite strong but not as unpleasant as I’d anticipated after reading all the comments. Anyway, it fades quite quickly but I don’t think I’d use it on houseplants.
Effective
Really works against various plant issues such as aphids and black fly on my broad beans, however, the bottle is LOADS smaller than I thought!
It works
I have use this before but an excellent way to get rid of greenfly black fly etc without the use of chemicals
Great produc
Bought this product due to other reviews….. We have a gooseberry bush that was decimated due to little green caterpillar critters…. Sprayed and drenched bush as per instructions and happy days critters gone and now we have new foliage coming back.
Great as a natural aphid repelle
I used this (mixed with water and a little liquid soap) to spray on a cherry tree which was covered in aphids. It did take a few applications, but they are all gone now. The neem oil smells a bit funky (naturally) but it did a good job and with no detrimental effect to my plants.
Messy but worked!
Used it to clean a tree from parasites and it worked.
Ok so first of all, this stuff is PUNGENT. It’s like really hench garlic. Secondly, it’s super effective at killing bugs which is what I got it for. I normally don’t go for bug killing but they were destroying my favourite indoor plants. After a polite request for them to cease and desist with their woeful activities, which they rudely rejected, I knew I had to resolve the issue once and for all and a teaspoon of this mixed with a squirt of original fairy liquid and 1ltr of water was indeed their doom. Which they totally bought on themselves. The plants have remained bug free after one treatment for several weeks now and the smell subsided after a couple of days. I highly recommend neem oil for all your rude bug killing adventures.
Works really well
Thought the bottle was tiny for what I paid for it but a little goes a long way. Used it to get rid of the pests on my plants, with regular use the pests have gone with no damage to my plants
Brilliant produc
Never heard off it before but after googling what’s eating my cannas I found Neem! All the black fly wondered what hit them. Good for the environment and safe for bees and birds. Smells like burnt garlic. Really impressed and wondering why I have never heard of it.
Works on aphids (for now!)
Used to make a mix for controlling aphids on lemon tree and seems to have worked so far. No horrible smell and easy to decant into another jar. Good natural alternative.
Effective in getting rid of ants!!
100% effective. Our lemon tree was infested with ants. After using the oil, and following instructions the ants disappeared. Have also tried on other plants and the results have been positive. Highly recommend. Quite an expensive purchase, but a little goes a long way.
For anyone with a problem with fungus gnats you need to do a neem oil soak to get rid of them. All of my plants were absolutely infested beyond belief. I did one soil soak and at first I thought it hadn’t worked but over the following week the flies just disappeared. I bought both the pure neem oil and the emulsifier (PINK SUN horticultural gentle liquid soap) to make the solution with from amazon. I googled ‘fungus gnat neem oil soak’ and used the quantities on a website called plantcaretoday .com. I used the emulsifier for plants above rather than dish soap as I read that dish soap can kill plants. None of my plants died with this method.
Also you can spray the leaves of your plants every now and then as a natural preventative method of keeping another infestation occurring.
Just leaving this here for anyone in the same situation I was.
Easy to use
Used for plant leaf wash. Instructions on the bottle re. warming the product slightly were really helpful.
Plants look lovely and healthy, smell once mixed with water and mild dish soap is not bad at all.
Stinks but seems to work
Have so many flies all over my plants and when I spray this around it does seem to kill them, but it does smell so bad. I just add a bit with some washing up liquid and water in a spray bottle
Good value for the price!
Lasts a long time and effective for plants with fungus gnats especially. You will need to buy organic Castile soap though, as neem is an oil and therefore needs to be emulsified.
It works
Used this product many times over the years. I had a problem with the infestation of my bay tree and the cherry tree. Dilute with water and spray on the leaf. It will kill the leaf in time but in a natural way and get rid of those …smell quite bad but it is normally
Mealy bug kille
Best sprayed on your indoor plants outside when it’s a sunny day, I have found this to be one of the best cures for mealy bug infestations. It works well on orchids and adeniums, although you do need to repeat the process. Mix up a 10% solution with warm water and shaking vigorously before use.
Treat scale on citrus
Plenty of YouTube videos on its uses, I bought it to treat scale on my citrus trees, I had to manually remove a lot of them but so far so good.
It works
Very pleased with this. Easily mixed, no idea what people are talking about when they say the scent is terrible. Do I have something wrong with my nose? Set most of the nasties going. Sorted out my strawberries. The big test will be my cherry tree and blackfly. But a good, natural product.
Quite a small bottle but u only use 2 1/2 ml at a time
Smells bad but has not rid of my compost gnats that invaded my house plants
Took 3 sprays over a month
Nicer than chucking plant
Used on plants outside but not so effective
Did the job!
I bought this to get rid of plant gnats. I melted it added it to a spray bottle with water and a bit of washing up liquid. I then sprayed it on the top of the soil and literally within 1 day the gnats were gone. The smell is strong at first but then it gets better.. would definitley recommend i
Solved Fungus Gnat problem with indoor plants
Great product. Neem oil soil drenched a number of indoor plants suffering from a lot of fungus gnats. This plus fly traps and raid really has solved this gnat problem we’d been plagued by for months. The smell isn’t the best but it doesn’t last long. Good luck
Good product for killing bugs on plants
I bought this as an alternative to bug spray, it worked well on my peace lilly, it does have an awful smell though so be prepared.
Plant Mealy Bug kille
I found this to be the best solution I know of when you need to get rid of mealy bugs from house plants.
I tried many bug sprays, however found Neem Oil was the most effective. There is a scent that comes from it, but it’s worth it.
Used to rid thrips
Used this to get rid of thrips worked within the first 2 days of use started to see them dying off slowly 2 weeks later no signs at all
Killed off the meally bugs
Saw meally bugs on my plant, never heard of them before. Googled and neem oil was recommended for plant bugs. It arrived next day.
Mixed a teaspoon with half teaspoon of mild liquid plant soap and luke warm water. Sprayed 3 times over 10 days and looks like all bugs have gone. Also makes plants leaves shiny.
The scent smells a bit like peanut butter so i didnt find it as bad as many ppl said.
A small bottle but only need to use sparingly so will last ages.
I read it has many uses.
But for me just used on plants, and my plants are looking nice and shiny and healthy.
My daughter took it as she found tiny 100’s of tiny black worms in her house plant soil ( could be from toddler grandson keep hiding his fruit in it) she used it as mentioned above but drenched soil in in and they were gone overnight.
I also sprayed the trunk of my young cherry tree as every year ants take over and never bears fruit. It worked as this year i have cherries, so clearly ants dont like it .
Great stuff
Effective
Bough this to treat some plants pretty infested with fungus gnats, worked well, all gone after about 2 weeks of treatment..to me it smells absolutely terrible, like rotten garlic but will def use again should it be needed. Fast delivery.
Neem oil for indoor plant problem either bugs
Have used on indoor tradescantia plants infested with fly/bugs. So had 1 application, will do anotger in 2 weeks to see if sorted.
100ml bottle gies a long way.
It works!
Normally averse to ‘natural’ remedies for anything as my experience is that they rarely work. This seems to be a real exception. I have a small lime tree that is brought indoors during the winter months and invariably it falls foul of pests and no matter what I do to protect it by the time it is returned outside it’s in a sorry state. The same started to happen this year so despite my misgivings I decided to try this. After three weeks all traces of infestation have gone and the tree is looking very healthy. Completely converted, I’ll be trying this on other plants this year.
Anyone who has houseplants will know that those tiny fungus gnats are harmless but boy are they annoying. I mixed a solution in a spray bottle and sprayed on all my plants leaves and soil and 2 weeks later the flies were totally gone!
I mixed:
1 tbl spoon neem oil
1 tbl spoon washing up liquid
1 litre of hand warm water
I spray a tiny amount every other month or so and I haven’t had any other house-plant pest problems or any more fungus gnats since!
Fine
Hard to mix will wait and see if it works
Seems to be working
I bought it after we got scales on our indoor lime tree. The tree spent half a year outdoors so that’s where it had picked the parasite insect. I mixed warm water, neem oil and washing up liquid in the spray bottle and sprayed the tree generously. So far, we don’t see any scales or dew on the leaves but will keep an eye.
Really pleased I found this to treat my succulents
I agree that it does have an odd smell, but doesnt put me off using it, especially as it really does work! Only used a teaspoon in a spray bottle of water (found I had to warm in the microwave for a few seconds to turn to liquid). Have sprayed my succulents that were infested with mealybugs and they seem to have gone after two applications and are growing and looking healthy again. Would definitely recommend, and will be using in the summer outside too.
having struggled with athletes foot in winter for years, I have tried all the main brand creams. They work out to be expensive and takes more than 1 week for the itching to stop. Athletes foot can take more than a month to treat so it works out to be pretty expensive.
I stumbled on a youtube video mentioning neem oil and after some research I thought I’d give it a go. The smell for me isn’t that bad but my wife hates it so its not without its pitfalls. That being said I have never experienced such a rapid response to treatment. 2 days and not only is the itching gone but the redness is 70 percent reduced as well.
moving forward I won’t even bother with other treatments and will be using this oil as my goto when that nasty fungus comes knocking again.
I use this to help keep fleas at bay. My 2 dogs got fleas from the carpet of the house we recently moved into. Carpet now gone, thanks to Neem oil fleas now gone too. I used flea treatment on my dogs which did not work. I then started using neem oil. I mixed a few drops in their shampoo and gave them a bath with this twice a week, I also washed all their bedding twice a week adding a few drops of neem oil in the final rinse. I also combed them every evening with a flea comb and then brushed them with a few drops of neem oil on the brush. This routine worked, it got of the fleas and I didn’t have to use more chemical flea treatment. I will stick to neem oil from now on. It doesn’t smell great, but a few drops of lavender oil mixed in with it helps counteract this. I use this now as a flea treatment, bad for fleas, good for my dogs as I no longer need to put toxic treatment on them.
Last ages
I brought this to mix and spray on my roses with black spot ,did the job really well not a sign of black spo
Got rid of aphids on my plant; it absolutely stinks though!
Good product and it got rid of the aphids on my plant fairy quickly so no issues there. It smells horrible though but the smell doesn’t last for too long thankfully.
Great for getting rid of black flies
Brought this to get rid of black flies on my house plants. It took a few application but they have finally gone.
The flies may have gone sooner but I was reluctant to use it more often because of the horrid smell of neem oil that lingers.
But eventually did what I had to do now all flies are gone.
Natural Bug Remedy
I don’t like to use any pesticides in my garden & this was recommended to me, it is brilliant, it smells horrible for a couple of hours but this disperses. You just mix a 20% solution with water & a squeeze of washing up liquid in a spray bottle & spray any plants that may attract bugs or suffer with anything such as black spot. As it is natural & does not damage the eco system of my garden or harm animals it is just perfect & works better than any nasty chemicals
Helped me to get rid of pests.
I’m glad I got this. I had mealy bugs on my banana and some other plants which used to leave sticky residue. I made a a solution of 2 tea spoons of neem oil, 1 tea spoon of washing up liquid in 1 litre of water. Couple of sprays a few days apart got rid of all the pests!
Some people complain of bad smell. I have to say I didn’t think there was any particular bad smell. I would definite recommend this.
Fantastic stuff! My anthurium was riddled with these tiny bugs, I tried wiping them off but to no avail, they kept coming back in swarms. But ever since I wiped this stuff on the leaves they’ve practically all disappeared after a few days!
Yes the smell is horrible, I mixed this stuff up with soap and water near an open window but it did still smell. After I finished putting it on all my plants it made me feel a little funny.
Not sure how to dispose of this stuff, I put the excess in airtight jars and threw them in the bin. Overall fantastic, just be careful!
Great natural pesticide! Love i
I bought this oil to manage spider mite infestation on my house plants. It worked wonders and I managed to save most of my infested plants. However, I do not recommend for orchids, they didn’t survive the treatment unfortunately.
I also use it in the garden to treat against aphids, spider mite and other pests. It smells rather strong but it doesn’t bother me since it’s harmless to helpful inserts like ladybirds, bees etc.
Amazing product, a bit pricey but insecticides are not cheap either. I will purchase again.
Cheap and Effective
Well the product works, I don’t have any footage of the renewal process of the aloe vera I treated for, because I than decided to give it as gift, because in this new flat will never settle, better to give to who can really help instead.
I gave them the solution made with the soap and the brand new spray but I have the Neem oil concentrate with me as the soap, that I will probably save more plants or might use for different infested places .
Very interesting product, smell bad as all the products for potting and plants soils, who are worth to invest in plants and trees properties.
It might be helpful if the company will suggest to buy a bottle with a millimeter tube pump, to let take the exact amount of this concentrated product, because not everyone has the garden, as me that just treated one Aloe vera potted plant.
However; the interested person whose reading this comment could think to buy the bottle instead of waiting, the price is cheaper, but I would also pay 12 for this combo .
Thanks again for your produc
Happy herbs, stinky kitchen 😂
Seems to have got rid of the lil leaf miner bugs on my herbs.. Parsley basil and thyme particularly liked it. Though i think it makes the leaves burn up if i use it in bright sunshine now my plants are outdoors.
Worked best when i rubbed on a thin coating of pure oil with my palms! It is soft enough that it mixes with water in a spray bottle but gotta shake it up good. Stinks though! Ya get used to it but the smell is pungent.
Third brand of neem oil I am trying in last 3 years. Best results. Neem is supposed to help with dry frizzy hair and to slow down greying. I have a bit of stress-induced and premature greying and don’t want to dye my hair. This oil really makes my hair very soft – did right from first use. Greying, of course, I cannot comment on so early. I use it as a hair mask (over night or a few hrs during the day). I use rosemary essential oil to cover up the strong smell, and I add extra virgin coconut oil to it as well. I have long, thick hair and this one spreads well enough. Not difficult to apply. I wash it off with a gentle shampoo (I have seen that using a hair mask also protects from silicone damage since I cannot always find silicone free shampoo/conditioners) – or maybe neem and coconut are esp good at protecting? Not sure – but work well enough for me. Even on humid days my hair stays manageable, much more frizz free and the browning of the ends has gone down so much.
I bought this oil for my orchids, because they seemed to have a bug/ some fungus and they started to die. I mixed the solution with warm water and surprisingly after I sprayed it on the plants…it worked! The orchids started to reinvigorate. Also I decided to spray my pine tree which for some reasons has lost his leaves and in less than a week it started to get new fresh leaves.
Pro: it’s not toxic and it smells like onions…the smell fades in few hours.
It's a 'Marmite' sce
Neem does have an odd aroma and not one I would want to go around smelling of. I bought mine as a mixture of neem oil and water sprayed on lilies gets rid of lily beetles. One year mine were eaten totally and this year I have been vigilant at spotting them. The neem oil mix has done the trick and I only find the beetles after a lot of rain has washed it off. Neem is great for getting rid of garden pests more ecologically.
It does have a strange smell, not totally unpleasant but …!!
Great to kill fungus gnats!
Good value for money! Bought to treat my monstera plant as it has fungus gnats!
I mix 1 teaspoon of neem oil with around 4 squirts of dish soap, to around 700ml of water. Make sure it’s mixed and then soak the soil and spray the pot.
I must say this had worked along side sticky catches. But the smell of the neem oil is very strong and I find it unpleasant but it’s working! The infestation has dramatically reduced!
Effective
You definitely have to add some washing up liquid- just a bit – to aid spraying. No instructions so I guessed and it seems to be working! Horrid little fly things on my plants have now significantly reduced in my greenhouse.
Somebody mentioned the horrible smell. It isn’t pleasant if you sniff the bottle but I didn’t find it a problem when spraying.
Ok
So I bought this bc I heard it was good for plants I haven’t used it yet but I hope it works. It came solid? I think because it was cold so I let it melt in the sun for a bit. Was expecting it to be a bit bigger but ig that’s on me.
Bought this as I was told it would help with a recent infestation of mealy bugs on my indoor gardenia plant.
My gardenia has been doing so well, blossoming regularly and suddenly I noticed these horrid bugs. At first I thought it was a fungal infection of some kind and left the plant alone for a few days to research. Well those pesky bugs took only a few days to infect most of my new buds! (Forgot to take photo before application so photos are from the middle of spraying)
I mixed a teaspoon of the oil and soap with a litre of water and started the massacre!! Liberally sprayed every single bud, leaf and branch. Left it alone for 24 hours and checked to see the aftermath. Surprisingly most of them were gone (I don’t know if they died or left to attack another plant but they were off my gardenia which was the main objective!)
There were a few left (some areas I didn’t reach in the middle) so these I took off with a cotton bud.
All in all a fantastic product!! It worked for what I needed it to do! I will try and use this on aphids outdoor as this is a lot gentler then the chemical sprays.
Some reviews said the oil had a strong odour but I didn’t mind the smell, I have smelt worse.
