It’s good quality build. Touch screen and 4K. Though I would love it even more if it includes internal battery! That would make it 6 stars!

PS. Screen doesn’t get hot and sturdy

The 1440p picture via USB-C connection is excellent. Not tried the other connection options yet so can’t comment on those. I carry the monitor around in my backpack with my Macbook and my Windows laptop. It is thin and light. Works equally well with both systems. It is very useful for working in coffee shops, at the ice rink (my son is a skater so spend a lot of time sitting there, working) and even on those occasions when I got to the office as the 1080p monitors there are rubbish.

Not really played with the settings much as the picture is just fine out of the box. It really is plug and play.

The stand/cover is a tad limiting with only two angles: almost vertical and about 45 degrees. However, I’m pretty happy with the almost vertical setting. It would be nice to have a couple of extra angles available though.

Only the whole. I’m really pleased with this purchase. Recommended.

It’s good, does the job, matches my LG gram 17 well in terms of pixels per inch and display size. Viewing angles good, but a lot of back light leak. Overall I would say when actually using it, you don’t notice the good but not great image quality. So I am happy with purchase.

These flat screens make a great option for a portable, or stowable, PC rig with full-size monitors.

Note: This display was provided by UPower for free (as a ‘sweetener’ for originally receiving a different UPerfect display that was, in effect, defective). That said, I’m under no obligation to provide a review biased in any way, so this review is an entirely honest one.

    Summary:
A decent portable monitor powered via USB-C. It’s pretty large (well, it is a 17.3″ display, after all), so it’s reasonably heavy.

    Three input ports:
    1 USB-C PD (power only)
1 USB-C (power, video, and audio) – this requires a special USB-C cable that is provided (so don’t go using any old USB-C to USB-C cable and expect it to work!).
1 Mini-HDMI (obviously, if you’re using this connection, you’ll need to plug in power to the display as well.

[Note: the display does not contain a battery, so is not self-powered]

Works well with laptops (tested against a MacBook Pro M1), and mobile phones (tested with a Samsung S22+ [just one cable to power and run the display, and Samsung Dex pops up and works flawlessly]) – the video, its (limited) editing and YouTube submission, etc. has all been done on the S22+ using the monitor… .

When powering the display via the USB-C PD port, power will also pass through to the connected device. In other words, you can charge your mobile phone whilst using the display – an important feature!

    Verdict:
At this price point, you’re not going to get all the bells and whistles, but it is a solid display with a good image reproduction. The fact that the 2k version is only around 20 more (once vouchers are taken into account) makes this monitor a little disappointing (personally, I would spend the extra for the higher resolution). That’s not to say that this one is not up to the job, though…

A touch-capable screen would also be a boost – especially when using an Android or iOS device, but that would clearly boost the price significantly.

Audio is understandably ‘tinny’ – the speakers are very small, so this is no surprise.

All the buttons and sockets are along the lower left hand side of the display making it better if you need to go into portrait mode – you’re not going to obscure any of the inputs or the options wheel.

The options wheel is pretty decent too. It sits proud enough to be able to press it easily (I’ve had other devices where you need a decent fingernail!).

The menu system is easy to navigate, and has a wealth of options to choose from, making the set-up as complex as you can be bothered making it. Out of the box, though, the image is satisfactory, so the options list might not be all that important to most folks.

    Is it worth it?
Generally speaking, yes and no. The current retail is 219, but there is also a 20 ‘voucher’ so it’s really selling for a reasonable 199. That said, the 2k resolution (2560×1440) version works out at just 20 more, as mentioned. Assuming that the only difference is the resolution, then this 1600×900 version doesn’t make sense to me…

Of course, the higher resolution will also be more power hungry, so that could tilt things towards this lower res display if power is likely to be an issue (i.e. lots of use, powered directly from a mobile phone)…

Then there are competitor displays, several of which are cheaper. Are they better or worse? Well, that’s a question I cannot answer…

In short, this display is good, solid, and silent (no annoying buzzing sounds), and works well with different device types.

    A thumbs up from me.

Use this for small presentation groups and a second screen while away on business. Good viewing angle and colours are true. Like the fact you only need 1 cable for power and content. Looking into getting another one for slightly larger groups.

Needed a display that I could deploy in a rush ad hoc for a coding session. I’ve had higher resolution displays in the past, but the combination of 17″ and 2560×1440 made this monitor look like it would actually work. And goodness, it does. Powering it off the USB-C cable that handles the display output means it’s a one cable go live situation.

Little more complicated with the micro-HDMI as you have to feed power into the other USB-C port with the supplied PSU and cable. The menu controls are fairly fiddly, but the display does seem to manage to autoconfigure for most of my needs, so I don’t need to be twiddling it all the time (something I’ve had with other smaller panels).

The cover come stand works well enough, though I do wish this quite common design had more than magnets holding it in place (or a mounted kickstand) and the VESA mount screw holes are shallow (as you’d expect with a display this thin) so don’t expect a VESA mount to come with safe screws (It’d be nice if there were some in the box).

So for me it’s everything I want in a portable monitor.

    Great for coding on demand

    Good –
The monitor is well packaged & includes 3 cables & powerful usb power adapter (5v3A, 9v2A, 12v1.5A) see photo
    A useful cover/stand is included
The actual monitor is very light
‘Pulley’ button for navigating settings etc is easier than the previous button combination
Speaker is reasonable for such a thin monitor
Can be powered by an external battery but it must have at least 5v2.4A output (5v2A is not enough)
Similarly, a multi-USB power adapter will work as long as it can provide 5v2.4A output
A Microsoft Surface 4 Laptop can power & pass video to the monitor via just one USB-C cable — see photo
Similarly, an iPad Pro 11 can power & pass video to the monitor via just one USB-C cable
Screen has a matt finish which is good for reducing reflections (but as usual not as vivid as a glossy monitor)
2560×1440 resolution is very sharp & clear but you may want to scale up to 150%/175% for easier reading
It also accepts 1920×1080 amongst other resolutions
It accepts 60Hz sources which is fine for use with a laptop/PC
    It accepts HDCP sources
    Lots of settings are available
See photo of 17″ below the 15″ version for comparison
Seller’s support is very friendly & helpful

    Could be better —
A mini HDMI to full size HDMI cable or adapter would be useful as many sources still use full size HDMI.
The magnet to hold the monitor to the stand would benefit from being stronger
I would like it to work with 50Hz as well as 60Hz

    Very nice 17” portable monito

This monitor is the best of the larger sized portable monitors (my best preference in terms of resolution and screen size).

    # The resolution and scaling
At 2560x1440p, much more text can be fit onto the screen and still be very clear compared to the typical 1080p. Similarly, portable sized 4k monitors need to be scaled, which I find to be less reliable especially in the case of a multiple monitor setup. With this monitor, no scaling is needed.

    # General usage and productivity
I am now using this monitor as my primary monitor with another portable as a secondary. Using this monitor has been just as productive as my previous 25″ 1440p with a number of benefits. Firstly, it is space saving, suitable for a minimal desk/workstation setup. I use a USB-C to power the monitor directly from the USB port on my PC with the mini-HDMI to HDMI cable provided.

This monitor draws roughly 10-20W of power which is over half of my previous 25″ monitor. Another upside is the monitor produces much less heat than standard sized monitors which helps to keep my hot office/room in the summer cooler and less stuffy.

This has been perfectly suited for reading/writing code and text, graphic design (blender, pixel art) and watching movies. Eye strain has been reduced significantly I think due to the fact that there is less overall screen light glaring at the eyes. Also, no longer need to crane and adjust neck to look at the far corners/sides of the monitor which is a huge bonus for productivity. All in all, screen is really nice and overall build quality is sturdy and very happy with this monitor.

Perfect monitor which is portable but more than suitable as a primary monito

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI read some reviews about this screen and nearly didn’t buy it but I took a chance when it arrived it was amazing. I do have another portable screen so that I have three when travelling and it is a pretty good touch screen also but I am considering purchasing another of these as it is amazing.

It comes with all the cables you might need and also a usb plug which doubles as a USA or, in my case, a UK plug
The colours are crisp, vibrant and bright, and the range of screen resolution is outstanding. The touch-screen capability is also excellent.

It has it’s own stand built in which can be tilted to suit your viewing angle. The sockets are built into the stand as is the button that enables you to interact with the settings, however, my settings were perfect out of the box.

If there was anything to complain about it would be that the screen didn’t come with its own protective case/cover/sleeve but that wasn’t part of the options listed so I didn’t remove any stars for that and just purchased a sleeve to protect it.

I work with data in SQL Server, Excel and Power BI and this portable screen will be a useful addition to my portable office and sits alongside my Dell laptop or Surface book perfectly. I would give it 10 stars!!

Just in case the message didn’t come across, I love it!!!!!

I live the size of this monitor- it’s the largest you can get without losing the portable aspect. It is light weight and easy to carry but if carry on a plane etc I would recommend getting a carrying case with strap. But the real selling point is that the visuals and clarity of this monitor punch way above the price tag. It exceeded my expectations and competes with more well known brands which are more than double the price of this monitor. This was the perfect solution for me as an at home second screen and a second screen to take with me when I travel or remote work. I highly recommend for the size and quality- I really won the lottery with this purchase

Ok, almost three months in of almost daily use – have it as my 4th screen in the office and it does the job well. The best thing is that, unless you go for 20 000 screens and there is a lot of fuffing around with connecting things up, it is actually really straightforward. When I merely connect this display to my laptop, it is automatically recognized and I do not need to do anything, but plug it in! Excellent!
It is of a great size and use is very intuitive in everything. I am not too happy with the resolution, as sometimes watching films does not really work well, as the picture is a little blurry. For working with the internet and documents, I have had no issues whatsoever! For the price,I think it is excellent! i love that it is so portable, so easy to use and I can always have an extra screen whenever I want to – as you can see in the picture, it is one of many screens and one that goes home with me, alongside my laptop that I can use at home too. As you can see however, unlike other screens, you can’t work out what I have on this display from a certain angle, and i am not sure if it is a good thing or not – potentially good in some cases – you decide. Bottom line – very easy to use, plug and play, excellent for working with text and pictures, some videos may be blurry, others not – potentially have to do with the quality of the video and its resolution not being adjusted automatically. It is very reliable and robust and I can most definitely recommend it! A device you can trust!

This is a good minor and it was actually better than I expected

Whether you need this or not is for you to decide, but when you have a second monitor you’re surprised how useful it actually is. I’ll get the only dilemma out of the way first, and that’d the price. At this
Price you’re essentially paying the same or more for this monitor as you would a regular monitor on a stand. This is worth the price as a “portable”monitor but overpriced as a home one as you can get regular big brand ones for the same or less. But for the portable aspect this is great. You can take it out and about with you or maybe take it out into the garden or used alongside something else portable like a Raspberry Pi

The packages seemed quite generic and basic as seen with some other Chinese products but I was fairly impressed with the product inside. The screen seem to be pretty well made and of decent quality. When on the screen quality is also fairly good and nice to use. That fact that is has a HDMI port make it easy to connect to the vast majority of things and display a HD picture

Overall this was a lot better than I expected. So the only issue is the price of around 240

This is a beautiful portable monitor with audio too. It comes with the power lead and a lead to connect my phone (usb-c) and an additional lead but I’m not sure what that’s for. I added a Bluetooth keyboard to my phone so I could easily type emails and everything and my phone is used like a mouse. The graphics are beautiful and it is perfect for my needs.
I think other people use it as an additional screen on their computers or connect it to their home security cameras which is a great idea.
The only thing I don’t like is the magnetic case, it keeps slipping off and is a nuisance really. I didn’t deduct a star though as the monitor is superb.
    I recommend it 100%

This is s very sleek and stylish monitor. The design of the monitor is very good. I love the fact that it is portable and able to take with you. It can connect very easily to my laptop but can also connect to my phone which I quite like. The kids like watching movies on it. The sound isn’t the best. It doesn’t affect me too much. If it starts to niggle at me then I connect it to my speaker and have better sound. Also, the colouring on the screen isn’t the same. It’s much fuller than what is on the device connected. Again it is not a big issue for me, but might be if you wanted to use it to play video games. Overall a good monitor.

This portable monitor is a nice addition to have as an extra screen to use at home. It seems to be an unbranded monitor with no company name on the box or the monitor itself.

I’ve been looking at portable monitors to use along with my iPad for workouts. Most monitors required an extra aux audio cable for audio output.

The monitor comes at 17.3 inches in size, is ultra-thin and lightweight to carry around. It worked straight out of the box, plug and play using the various cables.
The side has an OSD Rall key to control the menu, change volume and more. There are ports for HDMI, Type-C, PD port, and audio port.

    1) Switch console, the monitor immediately recognised the console plugged in using the type c cable. You also need the PD port to make it work. The in-built speakers are loud and I had to lower the volume. Playback is clear and vibrant.
    2) Macbook – the monitor comes up as an additional screen, and can easily be set up on the MacBook to mirror or extra screen to view documents. My daily workflow is to use a second monitor to double-check my work. It can be used with a PD port plugged in.
    3) iPad mirroring – Netflix immediately started screening on the portable monitor. For some reason, the colour display looked washed out compared to the other methods. It can be used with a PD port plugged in.

The monitor is portable for the iPad and MacBook test, great for keeping things cable-free. Not sure if it’s worth the full RRP price, but it does the job as advertised. My only complaint is the magnetic folio is a bit of faff to work out how to make it stand at first and the magnetic is not as strong as I like it to be.

    In the box you get:
    1 x monitor
    1 x magnetic keyboard
    1 x AC adaptor
    3 x cable connections

    great second portable monito

This is a great quality USB powered full HD portable monitor. If you have Thunderbolt 3 or USB 3.1 output on the host device (most modern laptops / PCs have now), you only need this to connect (it powers at the same time). Build quality of this monitor is excellent, with superb image quality and resolution too. The in-built speakers provide surprisingly good sound output too.

Although you can of course use with your (say) main PC as an extra monitor, you wouldn’t really, since you’d set up a conventional monitor (a lot less costly too), but this is brilliant to use with a laptop, where you maybe take a laptop away, and this as well. That would make loads of sense, since it’s easily transportable, and you could likely slide this in your laptop case with it.

This display is sharp and bright, and is ideally suited for use with games consoles, and as per the laptop, with phone (but only type C ones) as well. However, if using with a phone, you would need to control etc from the phone itself, since this monitor isn’t touchscreen. You can connect via Mini HDMI also.

The monitor is definitely well-constructed, is quite weighty, and substantial feeling. Although not at all flimsy, it is slimline. The screen has a good strong finish, and doesn’t appear delicate, and provides (as noted) vivid, clear, and bright images with no lag at all.

The case is pretty good quality, but using as a stand (it can be VESA mounted — but that takes away the portability) does require careful positioning, since it is quite easy to nudge it causing it to slide, but not enough that it becomes an issue.

This is, all in all, a great product, really good quality, and value. Recommended.

I hope this has been helpful.

Super quality, extra monitor where you need – portable!

This is one of those gadgets that I didn’t know I needed until I got one. When I got the opportunity to review this monitor, I was excited to test it out. Only the other day I was doing some design work on my laptop, and I thought this would be so much easier without having to constantly flick between screens. This handy little gadget solves that issue, and I am very pleased with it. It is much bigger than expected, and the 17.3 inch screen is plenty big enough. Although it isn’t quite full hd, it looks stunning in person and the colours are vibrant, once I altered a few settings. It can look a little greyed out from certain angles but when looking straight on it is very bright and clear. The pull button on the side next to the usb c ports and mini hdmi enables you to access an easy to use menu which then allows you to change volume levels, screen brightness and some more advanced settings, such as gamma.

The monitor arrived in a sturdy box and inside I found everything I needed to get set up, plus some cables that I wasn’t expecting which was a nice bonus. The screen is well built and you can feel the quality straight out of the box. The monitor also comes with its own bespoke case which acts as a kickstand when in use and then protects the screen when it isn’t. The monitor has only a few ports on the side but it is more than enough to either connect a laptop ( such as my MacBook Air 2017) via the mini HDMI, or a Nintendo switch console via the usb c (which I also tested and found works brilliantly).

The only minor complaints I have about this screen are:

    1) The built in speakers are quite tinny and don’t sound very good. There is a 3.5mm headphone port though, so if you wanted to listen to audio through it you could connect some headphones or compatible speakers.

    2) The mains cable is very short, so unless you have an extension lead sitting on your desk you’re going to have to buy a longer cable unless you want to sit right next to the mains socket.

Other than those minor issues, I think this monitor is great. It works perfectly with my Mac, and the screen extension feature worked automatically and was seamless. It makes life so much easier, and the monitor is a pleasure to use. If you are considering buying one, then you can’t go wrong with this. I highly recommend it. 5*

    Sleek.

It is easy to connect the device, when the device and the monitor are connected, select the VFV monitor. If you only have a screen, then you need to select the correct multi-screen mode, and your screen and device are the correct connection.
I connect Huawei pro 40, Huawei matebook D14, Nintendo switch, iPad Pro, MacBook and HDMI connected devices.
When you connect the laptop via HDMI, the choice of display is different. Huawei is not “Extend” but “Duplicate”; and MacBook’s screen selection – “Detect multiple displays”.
The resolution of the screen is not very high-definition, but there is no delay in the picture and sound.
It was used as my son’s Nintendo gaming screen monitor and it made gaming more fun.

This portable monitor is perfect for people on the move and want flexibility to move to a dual screen setup. The product is well made and the screen really pops through its 4K resolution and HDR mode. Touch screen is a great nice to have addition and love you can make it a vertical (portrait) to see more screen estate on chat platforms etc. Comes in a nice bag to keep it protected.

My laptop charger is only a 30w charging brick which isn’t enough power to charge the screen too so I have a separate power cable directly into the monitor too which is no issue. Highly recommended.

The touch menu on it is a fantastic addition which helps to make nagivation very easy. The touchscreen nature of the monitor overall works very well. A nice narrow border as well makes it look all the more stylish.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI purchased this screen for 2 main reasons. 1 for connecting my Nintendo switch and 2 for connecting my Samsung Phone.
I absolutely love how this screen looks. The small backplate folds down to act as a stand which you can adjust to an angle you desire. This base also has the ports you need for power and connecting you device like phone or gaming console.
I have connected my Nintendo switch to make gaming on the go a little better. The switch on this bigger screen is amazing and works so well, even the built in speakers work very well.
Connecting it to my phone allows me to make use of Samsung Dex to make my phone experience so much better on this larger touch screen display. I can now play movies on this beautiful display while at work and so just need my phone and this display. For power I connect to a power bank but you can also connect to the mains with the included plug and power cable.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis monitor is perfect for working from home with a laptop. The stand is functional as it doubles as the case! The screen resolution is fantastic really showing 4K!! it is more than capable when using multiple windows and the touchscreen is responsive and accurate. Really lightweight and easy to store when not in use. Recommended as good value for the specs!

It’s best screen I ever owned by a mile. Super light and portable and powered via power bank or laptop USB so kind of no extra power needed for dual screen. It works perfectly with my p30 pro phone along with touch screen and the tilt. The best thing is the panel itself, it is so vivid and bright that it can be easily used for photos editing or video processing. The 4K is just super good along with great blacks and huge viewings angles. It is serious screen, not the cheapest but definitely worth the price. Would recommend to anyone.
