This sits under my desk in a cold hallway. I don’t need it to heat room just toes and it is very efficient. I don’t think I will need it on for long periods.
Have been using this heater for the past few weeks to take the edge off the chilly mornings/evenings.
It’s really easy to use – controls on top of the unit as well as a remote. Warms my bedroom quickly and I don’t even have to get out of bed to turn it off!
Unit itself is well built and feels solid. Remote is also good quality, too.
Most of my rooms are about 4m x 4m and it heats them up no problem.
Great little heater. Puts out a lot of heat – warms our living room very well. Probably not suitable for a large room. Not noisy and if used on eco it turns itself off at the required temperature. I’m not convinced that the temperature is accurate so if it turns off and it’s not warm enough I just turn the temperature up. I’m not sure of the running cost per hour but my pay
as you go electric has gone up around 5 per week . (I’m using it about 8 hours a day). Would recommend.
I am very pleased with this heater. It is a great little gadget which heats my room well.
This is a fabulous little heater with a big capacity.
Easy to use with plenty of settings and cheap to run
Cannnot fault i
This item was a gift to a friend who was impressed with the unit I have in my home. My sister has also purchased the same direct from Amazon.
I have to give the dreo heater the full 5 stars because it runs on eco at 18oC under 50p a hour saves me lots money i highly rate this heater it also gives a lot heat when you need it up a bit very happy
We have used this in two fairly large rooms and it brings the room up to a comfortable temperature fairly quickly. Happy with it.
Looking good, Heat output is amazing & not noisy at all.
Bought for my daughter to heat her room. Works really quickly.
It warms my space very well and quickly, it has useful modes and the remote control works very well. It shoots its heat upwards/diagonally as opposed to straight ahead, once you know this you can position it to get the max benefit – highly recommended
Compact electric heater that can blast out a good temperature. I bought this heater just to take the chill off a room and it does that. Not sure if it is cost effective as I only use it occasionally. It has a remote control and I paid a good price. Shipped quickly and I think it is a good product.
A compact means of supplementary heat in a cold bedroom supporting a *9,1*1,& 2kw Oil Filled Radiator.(Central Heating Boiler beyond repair) max temp in bedroom 13 degrees C .Switched on using remote (on oscillate) to ease breathing Asthma.Thermal Blackout Curtains now added
It looks very smart and is easy to use.One complaint I have is that it can only be used with the remote control which needs to be at hand to use the heater and I often forget where I put it.
I think it consumes more than what said about the produc
Brilliant for turning g on for short periods, to give an I start heat boost.
A bit noisy, removes a bit hit and miss, but it certainly throws out some hea
I like everything about this heater. I like that it’s easy to carry around, it’s easy to turn on and off from my bed with the remote control. The heat output is substantial and instant. It’s very, very quiet. It can maintain the temperature you set by thermostatic control. During this recent deep freeze I’ve been keeping my bedroom at 15 with this heater, with no disturbance to my sleep at all. I cannot recommend this item enough.
I had one of the small ones that just plug into a socket but found it useless, so I purchased this dreo atom one it is absolutely superb our gas boiler is set to turn off at 23.55 and the thermostat is set at 21C but I don’t go to bed till 01.45 so I use the dreo on lowest setting eco and it keeps the room at the same 21C temperature , the dreo is only 230mm high and 165mm wide , it can stand on a table or on the floor, I have found it so useful this week due to the very cold temperature it justifys it higher price than lots of the cheaper heaters
Use this Heater for my 20×11 foot lounge.just fine for watching tv or to warm up before I put on my Electric Radiator.
Best for 2-3 hours at a time or set with thermostat .works out about 30 p an hour on 18 degrees setting .gives out good heat if you don’t mind pushing it up to 21degrees although that will increase the cost of your energy.seems well built and suits me .
Have used it regularly the first month for a couple of hours each day to keep central heating off, and until we needed to put the central heating on for a couple of hrs. It is hard to gauge the heater use due to change in electric prices changing again, as we noticed a rise in electricity costs last month. We decided not to use for a month to see if there is a difference in costs. It certainly heats up the room quickly for its size and when using will be using more on eco. I was lucky to get it at lower price as it has jumped up quite a bit when I checked it out for my daughter. Will add another review when I’ve used it again.
The heater is almost ok, but it makes a lot of noise and the remote doesn’t really work except when in close proximity, which cancel its purpose…
I bought this because I was looking for a space heater for my bedroom.
I live in a 1930’s semi detached house, on my own.
During the wintertime, I spend a lot of time in my bedroom.
Mainly on the PC.
I only venture around the rest of the house to cook or use the bathroom.
The house is simply too cold to try and keep warm with the central heating on.
I use to come in from work on an evening and put the central heating on for around four hours.
This would warm the house up nicely.
I am with bulb (Who I believe have been bought out by Octopus Energy now)
My rate is pay Monthly Variable.
At the moment it is 33.03p per kWh of electricity, and 10.24p per kWh of Gas. 29/11/22
So back to the heater…
I have quite a large room 3.5 x 4.5 meters, with 2.4 meters high ceiling.
From 10 degrees to 18 degrees, it takes the little heater one hour on eco mode.
I only use eco mode. That is 1110 watts from the wall.
So at the going rate, that is 37p an hour whilst it is on.
but the beauty is that it turns off once it gets to your desired level.
I have it set to 17 degrees, but it is on the floor. This means that it is 18 degrees at head height.
Perfect for wearing a t-shirt in winter.
I have enclosed two screenshots of my usage per day. With gas central heating, and with just the heater.
The figures speak for themselves.
I am over the moon with this little heater.
It is rather noisy if the room is dead silent, but put on the TV and that disappears.
The price of the heater has gone up 14 quid in 48 hours.
I bet it’s even quicker on full power mode, but the fact that it has a timer, eco mode, and oscillates, is just fantastic features to be had.
full points from me.
Update….. During the freezing cold temperatures outside, the heater has struggled to maintain the 18 degrees in my bedroom. It has certainly managed to keep the chill out of the air, and saved me on fuel bills! But it’s had to stay on full power to do this. Full power is around 1500 Watts. 50p an hour. So still no complaints.
It heats up really quickly and warms your room and feels really comfortable, not too hot but we do turn it off after a while as it will get too hot for us personally.
We bought this hoping it would help our finanses, And it has, our lounge is 18x 10feet and on heat one it makes the room cosy, it osculates so heats all parts of the room, it has a count down when switching off from 1 to 30, all done via a remote, it is so quiet you can watch TV or listen to music without interuption.
when it get to your selected heat it stops pumping out heat and the fan cools it then it stops and need a flick of the remote, You will love it it has overheat and knock over safety features
I purchased as a backup in case my central heating fails and I’m very impressed especially for the price. A real bargain and I would recommend.
Tempted controller needs to be very, very close to work
Really pleased with this heater. Extremely efficient & whisper quiet! Great features with the different heat outputs, eco mode, timer & having a remote control. Nice compact design too. I bought it to see if I can cut back on using gas for heating. I’ll have to weigh up the benefits for the reduction of gas top ups v the increase in my electricity bill so will add a further update in due course. Very happy so far though.
Was looking at taller versions but given the reviews and that it was a Lightening Deal thought I’d take a punt. This little guy is much better than I expected and heats my WFH area much better than I thought possible for the size. Remote is a nice touch, as is the optional 5 yr warranty. Bring on winter! I’m prepared.
This is in use every day when required, the temperature is controllable and it heats a room approx 14ft x11ft quickly , however don’t assume you know how to use it. Read the instructions
I was writing a lengthy review on this brilliant little heater, then my app crashed! Take my word you won’t be disappointed.
Excellent quality, mega powerful heat output if needed, yet eco lower heats if wanted too. Build quality is excellent, and from a company you can trust (check out DREO away from Amazon too)
Highly recommended and a best buy of years for me.
A1 perfect, with a great guarantee length of 5 years when activated on the DREO website.
Heats up quickly. Remote is good. Smells a bit funny when you first use it. Delayed start function would be good
Great little Fan heater and genuinely the quietest one I have ever cone across. Packs a punch. One downside is the 30 sec count down when it’s switched off..no problem just something I find annoying and it’s the same deal if you knock it over. Still couldn’t recommend more
Purchased to heat one room to save money on the gas bills. No heating for me…sob.
Has an abundance of features, thermostatically controlled, timer, digital temperature settings, blower, auto-cooldown to prevent heatsoak and oscillation (moves side to side to distribute heat better). Has three heat settings, 900 being the lowest.
Heats my large room up long befor the hour timer expires, my house at the moment averages around 16 degrees C with no heating, 12 when it is cold outside.
Can’t speak to reliability yet, but for the above purpose it works well for me.
Love this. Not huge but packs a punch with the heating.
Its also very quiet, which helps as we have it in the living room to keep that and the kitchen warm.
As others have mentioned, the remote can be hit and miss depending on what angle you are at but mostly works.
Also love the oscillation to spread the heat and the Eco mode is an awesome mode so you dont have to keep fiddling with keeping the temperature right.
We use this heater to heat up our family room and it works well. The fact that it turns itself on and off makes it more economic. The remote control seems to be more trouble that it is worth, so we use the manual controls quite effectively
Great compact heater, blends in well. Been using all week as alternative to putting heating on and so far it’s surpassed what we thought it could do! Hope it’s as economical as stated, only have on Eco mode and it heats the living and dining room very well. Very pleased with it so far, and for the price with a 5yr manufacturer warranty it’s a no brainer. Will pay for itself in no time. Oscillating feature works great for larger rooms to. All in all I agree, it is a beast !
Love this little heater so far …yet to check out my energy bill for how much it coming to ….Heats up a room very fast and cuts it self off when temperature reaches the temperature you set it comes back on when heat drops
Love this little heater,in a small living room it takes about 30 mins to heat to comfortable level, although don’t leave any internal doors open, when warm enough just use remote to turn down settings, occelation is smooth and has good coverage.cool down quick when off and anti tip automatically switches off unit when knocked accidentally, also can be used in summer as it also has a cold air function.
Had this for a few weeks now,and very pleased with it,Heats up my 15×15 room, very quickly, and mostly runs at 800-100 watts so fairly cheaper run, have used the eco mode mostly so heater cuts out at required temperture on the digital display, remote is simple to use and works fine for turning on and setting tempera ture.
Purchased two of these now, I was so impressed with the first. Customer service also fabulous after I lost the remote control within 48hrs (with a little help from the 2 year old grand-daughter….!) Was really surprised at how good looking it is and well designed.
Registered for my 5 year warranty also.
I purchased this heater when it was about 40, no regrets. But now its about 70 – its not worth that. Feel the retailer is taking advantage of people’s worries about energy bills, but seriously if you want to spend 70 get a larger heater.
So far working fine, throwing out a good heat. No idea how cost effective it is as live in country area and have problems consequently getting a smart meter. A good back up though if have problems getting oil. We haven’t as yet got to grips with remote control, only got it yesterday afternoon……
Basically a very good heater but the remote control system is flawed as the heater’s sensor is on the top and as a result the remote does not work from directly in front of the heater and has to be angled down from above so it is not as easy to control as I would have expected.
I wanted a small electric heater to heat up a single room in the flat without having to run the central heating in the autumn months. For that this little device is great, we turn it on sometimes with eco mode, it usually heats up the room in a couple minutes and turns off automatically. It’s relatively quiet and have had no issue with it whatsoever. Easy to control and love the remote.
Asked to write a review on this product after having only received it three days ago, I can only comment on it based on that period. It certainly lives up to the glowing description and we are very satisfied with it – so far. Obviously I cannot comment on it on a long term basis, reliability, cost etc. for a while yet. At time of writing I can say I’m very pleased with it; having taken the free option to extend the warranty to five years, I hope that should there be a problem, it will be dealt with. Only time will tell.
Arrived well packed, remote easy to use, a very compact heater with an amazing output. It’s about 1ft high and roughly 7’x7″ square.
There are three levels of heat and an eco setting.
When I turned it on initially the room warmed up within 3 minutes , that was on the top setting at 20 degrees. I nearly boiled! So I’ve been using the eco setting. I have set it at 19degrees for my 15×12 ft conservatory
It comes on as soon as the temperature drops below , then switches itself off.
Quiet running, don’t even hear it when the tv is on.
It also rotates if you want it to
Awesome for the price and economical to run
I’m so glad I bought two ! They’re going to be great when it gets really cold .
It also has a timer , but to be honest If you have set the temp it will come on and off automatically.
I bought it to keep the kitchen warm for my dogs in the winter months . The other night it was 2 degrees, they were toasty warm all night and the kitchen was warm in the morning. Probably won’t bother with my gas heating this winter .
Also if you register it you get a free 5 yr warrantee
Great product. Boxed very nicely, easy to set up. Simple controls. Option to activate a 5 year warranty.
I got this, as others have, to “hopefully” save money on my energy bills. I currently only have central heating for my heating needs. I thought that by getting this, I could just heat up the living room, and save money via not wasting energy for the other rooms in my house. (Mission accomplished).
I have mine set up on eco mode, you select a temp (18degrees for me) and it automatically shuts off once the temperature is hit. This is a great feature, but also why I took a star off. The thermostat seems to shut the unit off, before the room has hit the desired temp. I placed my hive thermostat right next to the unit, and the unit shut off whilst the hive was only reading 16.4 degrees. It’s not a big deal, I just raised the desired temp up to 20.
The unit itself feels well made and looks really good. I paid 55 which seems reasonable, considering the extra features It has compared to some similarly priced units.
This unit will roughly cost 69p per hour on full throttle, at current elec prices, and that’s if you dont use the eco setting. The eco setting saves you cash, by turning the unit off once it reaches the desired temp. I used it for an hour (although it wasn’t particularly cold) and it cost me around 15p. Much cheaper than Central heating. Once the unit shuts off, it does feel as though it gets suddenly colder, but that’s just because my unit is seated so close to where I sit.
My room is quite big, with high ceilings, but this small beast seems to be doing the job.
It’s not winter yet but so far so good and it’s ideal for my toddler’s room, wanted another one but quickly realise the price has increased by 40% and still being advertised as discounted.
Like everyone else I am concerned about energy costs particularly over the coming winter and so decided to look into a portable heater. I did some research and established that the important thing was to buy a ceramic heater and this fits the bill. Up and running within 3 minutes, easy to move around as required, unobtrusive, quiet and provides a significant boost to whatever room you are in without having to heat up the whole house. Very happy and would certainly recommend.
Happy with item but disappointed the cost had been reduced by 10 within 48 hours of purchasing i
Great little fan heater. It warms up the room pretty quick on H3 setting and love handy remote included.
All works well. In just a matter of days the price has gone of to 10 at 69.79
and it was sold at a lower price prior to that.
I don’t think this price is still reasonable to what you get from the product.
Seeing so many vine reviews, I almost skipped this item. I’m glad I didn’t.
However, I’ve put this heater through its paces.
It’s simple to use.
Within minutes of full furnace blast, my lounge was roasting.
The remote control is An excellent Concept; the Oscillation spreads The heat evenly.
If you think the thermostat isn’t functioning – it is – though unplug and plug back in should you want to give it an early wake-up call.
Its sleek and speakeresque design unobtrusively blends in with the furnishing.
With the price With utility bills hitting the stratosphere, I sought cost-effective heating.
A fifteen to twenty minutes burst does heat the room, and if it is well insulated, it remains warm.
This is a well-thought-out product that uses DC ceramic material making it a cost-effective option.
The blades are brilliant. If a child pokes a stick into the heater, it does not overheat, combust or cause any damage. (Childhood memories of being electrocuted, sticking mum’s knitting needle where it’s not meant to go and flung across the room – I was only three)
Great price for a state-of-the-art small but mighty heater.
