Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersSo at current electricity prices (October 22 capped rates, 52p/kWh), it’s drawing (on high mode) around 170-175W. That makes it approximately 9p/hr to run. So if you need to run this for 10hours, thats around 90p!

One thing to note that this device works best at room temps > 15degC, so take that into account (in terms of heating cost). Still, it beats using the tumble dryer, or having clothes smell damp after 2-3 days of drying.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWorks very well. Most of the time I dry my laundry inside the house and been having problems with them taking too long to dry. This dehumidifier speeds up the drying process a lot.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersOur conservatory tends to be full of condensation during the colder months, leading to mildew around windows and the roof, but having used the eco air for a week on high during the day and low at night, we’ve gone from a reading of 88 down to a consistent 55. Very pleased.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThe quietest, most effective dehumidifier I have used so far. The only improvement, I would say for the next model, would be a larger tank, but other than that, it’s nearly perfect.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersWell I 100% love my dehumidifier (13L) – purchased to dry clothes quicker as I was sick of them taking 4 days to dry & not smelling as fresh. I refuse to put my heating on for obvious reasons! My towels were put on the airers at 230pm yesterday & were bone dry this morning & the room was super cosy. No nasty damp smells humidity reduced to 45%. It was 81% when I turned it on yesterday morning for the first time cannot believe the amount of water it zaps out the air! Worth every penny!!! Noise is low (even when on High setting), just sounds like a fan. Impressed that much that I’m considering buying another for downstairs. My family is purchasing one as I type this! Smart Meter confirms 7p per hour (that was also with fridge/freezer, alarm clocks/WiFi & TV’s on Standby). Dehumidifiers & hoodie blankets are the way to save the pounds & keep energy costs down! If your unsure, like I initially was. Trust me it absolutely works!!!

    Wow Wow Wow!!!

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersGreat dehumidifier.
The water container when full holds 1100ml
Not the stated 1700ml. But other than that it’s really good. I use it to dry clothes and I’m really happy how fast it does the job

Feel this dehumidifier is helpful. We do not have a problem essentially, but it removes water from the air, and even if we run it on high for an hour after showers, it extracts a good amount of water in that time. Got it mainly for damp washing. Fortunately we have a garage to put washing in for a day before bringing upstairs to the airer. I was concerned about encouraging mould/damp, as using minimal heating this winter.
So after oodles of research, purchased this dehumidifier, and bought extended warranty for 7.29, as it was a big outlay for us. We have a very small 2 bedroom bungalow, and it appears to manage well. I wouldn’t say it dries the washing persay, if it had just come out of washing machine. I think it also adds warmth to the house whilst operating. Very easy to work the control panel. Moveable, not too heavy. Also very compact, which is really helpful in our house.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPurchased this when we discovered damp in a cupboard, simply hoping it would stop mould and damp. Which it has done. But… Didn’t realise they can be used to dry clothes too – this has made such a difference to the laundry. Before, in the winter, we’d have to dry clothes on a rack indoors and it took days and left the clothes with a “damp” smell to them – WELL NO MORE !!!! Clothes are dried in a day and smell lovely and fresh – it’s been a revalation. If you’re procrastinating about buying one – just do it – you won’t be disappointed. We’re not. PS. I have left it on in the bedroom overnight, you can sleep with it running on Low but it’s not exactly whisper quiet, you can hear it. So we tend to turn off over night. The timer function is very simple and a bit of a faff, so we just turn it on and off manually. On balance – we’re very pleased with our purchase.

It’s a little bit noisy for me but I can live with it and I use it mainly when I’m not in the room. It dries all my clothes so quickly and removes all the humidity from the room.
Very worth getting one in my opinion.

I bought the DC12 model about 7 years ago and it’s still going strong but wanted another to dry clothes so opted for the DC14 this time.
It’s pretty good overall, the digital display is easy to use, albeit the beeps are noisy and can’t be silenced.
The noise level isn’t whisper quiet but it’s quiet enough.
You also get a decent air output so does help to dry the clothes a bit quicker.

The water tank is quite small, half the size of the DC12 despite the DC14 having a higher litres per day rate.

The one thing that baffles me is the cord and plug storage! There’s a place for the plug to be secured on the back but there’s nowhere to wrap the cord. If you wrap it around the device it doesn’t reach the plug holder, no matter which way you try it. The only thing i can think to do with the cord is wrap it around the wheels but obviously then it can’t be moved.

Despite that’s its pretty good overall so would recommend

Clears huge amount of dump every day, happy to have made that choice. We leave it working thru the winter in corridor, our bedrooms open, and it dehumidifies the air. We have no issues with the noise levels, maybe because it is far from us but, the silent mode is cool as well. You can timers to turn it off while sleeping or away from home. We are glad we bought i

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have bought so many of these units and I’m delighted that I found this particular one because it blows the socks off all of them. I have it on my boat and it pulls gallons of moisture out so quietly and looks so beautiful. The water hose supplied is so great as it never stops as it drains continuously. This is a product so good it deserves 10 stars !

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt is doing what it’s meant to, I have a dehumidifier gauge in the hallway to keep an eye on the moisture. I like it has booster when needed. Being slim it’s not in the way and as for noise we do not notice, probably as is in hallway. Over the past few months it has worked well, in keeping the hall dry and warmer, with less heating.

I use this for drying laundry. It is brilliant, drying in much shorter time than my previous one of another brand. I particularly like the water container which can be dried between uses. My previous one could not. However one does need to keep an eye on the water container. At 13 litres capacity I find it does a dry for a load, but sometimes needs emptying before it’s dry enough. It beeps to let one know.
The machine is compact, easy to set up, easy to use. I highly recommend this dehumidifier. I am so pleased with it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersHad an issue where my bedroom had a bad damp problem (it was like like someone was in there 24/7 spraying a hose) to the point where you couldn’t even sleep in there and black mould everywhere. I was emptying at least once a day and within a week it had the problem under enough control that i was able to safely sleep in there

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI had this dehumidifier for 3 months now and it really helps stop the moulds formation in our flat. We’ve been dealing with these moulds for 2 years and finally decided to get one. Buying this product is worth every penny. It collected so much water even for an hour. I can’t imagine how humid our flat was and it does make sense why moulds could easily grows. Now that it’s autumn, we haven’t turn on our heater yet. Usually we turn it on to keep the flat warm but now that we have the dehumidifier, the heater is not yet needed. If you want to get rid with humid and moulds in your house or flat, this machine will be your besties.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersCompact unit that is simple to use, very quiet indeed at low fan setting, not very loud on full setting. Clears condensation and has removed moisture from the rooms by 15% to a comfortable 60% and only took 24hrs to do it.
Set to maintain humidity at 60% it kicks in and out occasionally and almost silently.
Way better than non-compressor models that struggle and don’t seem to last more than a year.
Works well for the upstairs rooms. I have a big unit for the lower floors and that one is much noisier and only a year old.
Highly recommend for any decent size room(s) or large office space.

Don’t bother with the 40 to50 ones, 1l to 2l ones. I have one and got about half a cup full of water per day in the same room. This was filling up( about 4 cups) twice a day for the first week, untill the room dried out. I got the 13l one, it’s very heavy and well built.

Recently bought this product. The casters are useful as it is quite heavy. I’m pleased that it isn’t noisy, it’s quite quiet when it’s on. Options of different levels, low and high and a useful timer. It works, I’m surprised at how much water it has taken in from my bathroom which I hope will eliminate the condensation problems. Plug fits into a slot in the back, shame there isn’t anywhere to hold the cable. Easy to empty. So far I am pleased with my choice.

This product does the job nicely, don’t really hear it..but I do have it on the lower setting. I do seem to be emptying the water container frequently as it’s not that big.
Mine is in the bathroom & up to now no new mould visible.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI replaced a broken DD1 with this model. Unit has been brilliant so far. It ran almost constantly for the first day or 2 but has now settled.
Only criticism is that the water tank is quite small when compared to the other models. It is also heavier than the other model.

After running it for a few days to get the humidity to a suitable level, it rarely runs now, so it’s quiet and presumably the electricity usage is not too bad. I have severe nasal congestion and this has helped A LOT (although it took a few days to get the room to the correct ambient humidity / kill the dust mites), there is also no mold on my shoes anymore. For the price this was definitely worth it! Can’t speak on the sound as I have a white noise machine, but I imagine it can be slightly noisy at night in the beginning.

I purchased this item for my In-laws as they have had a serious issue with condensation in an indoors shed, i set this up in the passage next to the shed which is a brick built one.
They are extremely pleased with it as it’s dried out the problem and the shed doesn’t smell damp any more and they empty it daily, so all in all a very good little purchase that has changed their lives as they no longer dread going out into the shed.
BTW; i can’t give it any stars for efficiency as i don’t run it.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe Mark 2 model replaces the previous model is is more eco-friendly. Setting it up was easy, as it is when in use … the control panel is simple to operate.
It’s not excessively large and so is hardly noticeable when in use, and it can be left in a room without having to keep hiding it in a cupboard when not in use. The unit is easy to move, either on its wheels or using the built-in handles. In operation, even at the highest setting, it’s quiet. It has good extraction levels and emptying the internal water bottle is a simple process.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI insulated my loft space above the ceiling and as a result, the warm humid air rising from the house started condensing on the inside of the roof. I was worried about the damage this might cause to the roof timbers and didn’t have time to fit a membrane etc so thought I’d get a dehumidifier. Not only did this fix the rainforest-like loft space, but it also stopped water forming on all the windows (which was causing mold on the seals). It has the added benefit of warming a room – it recovers the energy released when water vapor changes into liquid water – so instead of a cold wet bathroom, you get a toasty dry bathroom.

This is actually my second dehumidifier – last winter I bought a VonHaus dehumidifier. It didn’t quite survive the winter – the fan stopped working so I returned it (their customer service was top-notch). This winter, I thought I’d give this one a go. I did consider an Ebac but there was a lot of talk of quality issues in the reviews and there didn’t seem to be anything to justify the much higher price.

The Vonhaus was, I think, about 110. I bought the EcoAir direct from their website for 90, so a similar price point and comes with a 2yr warranty.

In terms of size, they are about the same but this unit feels nicer quality and it’s much quieter. The humidistat seems accurate and the compressor shuts off as it should when the target humidity is reached. A very short (about 50cm) hose is supplied if you want to use the continuous drainage option. The tank is quite small but still enough to last a whole night in my house.

Judging by the Chinglish instructions supplied, I imagine that this machine, like the Vonhaus, is designed and made in China and then imported and marketed by Ecoair – a testament to how good Chinese designed products are getting. I’ll update if I have any issues but so far I’m very impressed – it’s better than my old one (which was already not bad) in pretty much every way.

    Very quiet, high quality feel
