I bought this as a present for my new granddaughter.
I purchased this for my newborn as a white noise machine. I loved that it doubled as a soft light for night feedings that wouldn’t wake us up too much but was perfectly adequate to check my latch was ok while breastfeeding or what he had drank when I was bottle feeding. The hatch is now in my toddlers bedroom. It can be programmed as an “ok to wake” colour clock which he uses to know it’s ok to get out of bed. It’s also able to be used as a soft night light if he should develop a fear of the dark. It has plenty of choice in colours and sounds. It is expensive but I do think it’s well worth it. If I was having another baby I would buy another one because my toddler still sleeps with his.
The ability to set it from your phone to turn off and on, at specific times of day and with specific colours and white noise makes this a great and reliable piece of kit incredibly useful in a house with two or more floors. Toddler is also now waking up at 7am when it’s set to turn to green. We tell her to wait til it turns green to get out of her room and come downstairs which has been such a life saviour and she now comes downstairs with a smile.

We used a few different sound machines so far and this one is definitely a winner as it calms down my baby.
I did think that given the price the light would have brighter settings, I was disappointed by this.
The sound options are good and volume is good.
We currently don’t need to set alarms but I can see this being useful at a later date when he is in his own room.
The app is good although we can only connect one phone at a time.
I would say overall I am pleased I got this. We use it every day and will do for many years. It is ideal for what we need from it. I do however think it is over priced for what you get.
If this ever broke I couldn’t say whether I would buy it again but I would definitely consider looking for cheaper alternatives.
Once set up easy to use so far . Haven’t used the timed functions but I am assured by others who have that it is effective . Lovely sounds and lullaby’s. Warm night light choices
I was a bit sceptical as to whether this was worth the price but after buying a cheap light which lasted a year and was a nightmare to operate one-handed, I’m really glad we invested in this. It works really well and is super simple to use. I’m impressed.
It’s great that it has a timing feature so each night we don’t have to worry about rushing to switch it in etc. we can hear it go on.
Good selection of sounds / I personally hate the white noise sound on it though. I struggled to sleep and it gave me a headache (but that’s a personal issue) we use the washing machine sound which sounds amazing and works a treat.
We bought one for our first child and liked it so much we ordered a second.
I think it’s a little bit overpriced for what it actually does so both times I’ve used an Amazon gift card from work and put the difference to it but as for the light itself I can’t complain it’s really easy to use/control.
We’ve been using the time to rise side of it with our now 3year old and she gets so excited when the “green light” comes on in the morning accompanied by birds chirping, she leaps out of the bed and comes into our room so proud of herself for getting up to her green light.
Gifted to my best friend for her little one and she loves this. Both her and husband have the app to control settings. They said its very useful in many ways and they love it. So on their feedback they would recommend.

That said it is easy to set up and use. Lots of different options and combinations, we found it really useful to be able to use the app to alter the sounds and colours without having to enter the baby room.
Amazing and easy to set up. Was shocked to be honest. I got it for my little girl who’s due November. But I’m using it meanwhile. Helps me sleep.

Well…. 3 months later, my son is sleeping 10-12 hours straight and can put himself to sleep, night and day! We have done ZERO cry it out to get to this point.
I don’t understand how this light works so well, but it does.
I’ve got two Hatch products, one in each of my childrens rooms. They are easily controlled from the app and I have each one set up specifically to their nap & sleep time routines so it automatically comes on and turns off.
You can control the lighting, brightness, sound & volume and you can set lots of different programs which can all be different so completely tailored to the child’s needs.
I’ve had numerous white noise machines and this one is by far the best. It’s really light and not too big so can be easily taken anywhere.
I am sorry I can tell you nothing about this order. It was gift. As far as I know they are thrilled with the items sent! It arrived before indicated and there was no damage.
My baby does not sleep without white noise and lullabies at times to calm her down at times. It is very easy to use through the app and only glitches a few times. Light also helped a lot with initial night time feeds. I am sure we will use it for many years to come.

We were using our Sonos speaker for white noise for our baby but intermittent WiFi and difficulty connecting when staying away from home led us to look for something else. Wow is all I can say about the Hatch rest. So easy to use, app is fantastic, no worries when staying overnight at grandparents. Love the settings feature so we can have it running before we take our LO to bed. Will be getting another one for when the kids have their own rooms, tempted for one for us as well.
I was constantly using my phone for white noise for naps and nighttime for my newborn and realised soon I needed to invest in a white noise machine. Had a look around and this one is perfect. Controlled from your phone even if your downstairs. It’s fab
So this item is a great idea. However we have a baby camera that runs off Wi-fi.
Whereas this item runs off Bluetooth. And I must say that the range of the Bluetooth is poor which means you have to go close to the room, in order to change the settings or to adjust the item. Which also means that if you are out of the house & someone else is minding the child, you can’t get the device to respond from your phone.
Given the price, a Wi-fi function is needed. One other thing is that if you are trying to change the template settings, you have to adjust a time period that you aren’t within. Similarly if you turn the item off accidentally at the mains, it causes the machine a lot of confusion.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s a handy item and we use it but they should have improved the User Experience

I initially bought a white noise machine with night light but it was poorly designed. I decided to go for this even though it’s a bit expensive and can say overall I’m happy with it
It works very well and is generally reliable. Sometimes it struggles to connect to Bluetooth but most times it’s fine. The night light is good but the max brightness could be better.
Overall I’m happy with the product as it works well and is reliable.
I brought this based on a recommendation. My 2 year old wakes up so early – 5am most days. I needed a way to help him sleep longer and not wake up during the night. Although very expensive compared to similar options – the Hatch has worked really well for us. I have it set on rain sounds with blue colour and my little boy hardly night wakes anymore – and sleeps until 6am now. I love that I can control everything with the App. Would 100% recommend
My 2.5 year old had begun waking up between 5 and 5:30 with all attempts at pushing this later. Using this light he now sleeps in until 6:45, and if he wakes up earlier will wait until the light before getting out of bed. He loves it and claps and cheers every morning when it comes on.
I’ve been looking for a night light that is exactly like this. I have twins and need a light that comes on so they know when to get out of bed rather than coming out a soon a they wake. I have had the original bro clock many years ago for my older children but that was so fidgety and bright, I didn’t want to buy it again and surely someone had thought of something better by now? And yes thanks to the Hatch!
I came across the Hatch via Amazon. I was very sceptical about the price at first but read reviews saying it’s money well spent, or worth the investment etc. I decided to give it a go.
It’s great, I set it up immediately and I chose the colour I wanted and went with a red so it’s not too bright.. I set timers for when they twins are at school to come on at 7 and then weekends nearer 8am. I don’t have the music on but there is an option there, they have nice sounds and nice melodies. A massive choice of colours too.
It does exactly what it says and comes on in the morning and their nap times and the girls jump up and come downstairs happy as Larry. The light turns off dark or I suppose you could lower the setting and have it very dim. Sometimes I turn it on if I know they’re awake.
The only one negative is it connects via Bluetooth and you have to be near the light. So it’s not something I can change far away or even in my room. Small inconvenience.
All in all it’s great and much better than the gro clock. Don’t hesitate to buy!
Pros:
– The app is very handy especially if you’re holding the baby and forget to turn it on. Most people have their phones near so you can turn it on without getting up. This is probably one of the best features.
– volume and sound quality is better than most.
– looks and feels top quality.
– can be used for years to come.
Cons:
– the app when I first installed was abit temperamental with connecting to the hatch but seems to work fine now. Just stick with it if you have connectivity problems because it does eventually sort itself out.

Great flexibility on colour and brightness and schedules, all via the app.
It wakes me to birdsong and low light .. so no more jolting awake in pitch darkness when the phone/radio alarm comes on.
I have also used to unwind at bedtime and when doing yoga stretches.
All that and it looks good when not in use.
I love this! You can make favourites which are easy to access by simply tapping the top. Super simple to turn on and off too. I love that I can chose whatever colour I want. My baby sleeps well with the red light and tv static and since the static is a constant noise we can sleep listening to it too!
I never normally leave reviews for anything but felt I had to let other parents know how good this machine is! Our 7 month old was a terrible sleeper and had gotten to the stage of waking up every hour on some nights. This was coupled with disturbed naps in the day due to our other noisy toddler! However, the first night of using the Hatch sound machine on the washing machine noise throughout the night, we only had a couple of wake ups. I thought this was fluke but since then, 9 times out of 10 she is sleeping 12 hours a night and then having 2 x 1.5 hour naps in the day! We’re all now getting some much needed sleep. Honestly, I didn’t believe the hype but this machine is amazing!
Love this light, everything I needed. Perfect for night feeds and baby is sleeping so much better with the white noise and we have low red light. It’s so well designed and so well made even the packaging is smart. Would recommend to any parent 🙂
I’m not usually one for writing reviews however this has worked so well for us that I had to share my views to help others.
We had been struggling with our little one sleeping through the night for about 6 months after changing from crib to bed so gave this a go. It was tough because it’s not cheap however I can honestly say that after only a couple of nights he was sleeping through and has continued to do so for a few weeks now. I can only put it down to the use of this light!
Would recommend to anyone who is facing similar problems in keeping little ones in bed and asleep!
I truly can not believe that my daughter slept straight threw last night. One week of use and I can’t believe how much better she is sleeping! Worth the 60+ just for the last week lol. Excellent product. Exactly what I had been searching for.
This product works well for its purpose. Nice bright and dim light function with a good timer setting to let our little one know it’s time to get out of bed. Could be a little better with ability to play you’re own sound through Bluetooth, or ability to download sounds via the app. The default sounds get a little irritating after a while.
Purchased this for my babys room. Great product which can be full controlled from your mobile phone. Good choice of colours and sounds. Highly recommend to those looking for a sound and light in one
We’ve used this since baby came home from hospital and all love it – it makes nighttime changes super easy! We use it on the ‘white’ light colour and the crickets sound – perfect to drift off to! Remote use is super practical and the app is easy to use.
After seeing how many reviews this actually had before I purchased it I was already sold on it once I had read a few! This machine has been an absolute god send after having my baby who is now 10 weeks old and having no routine, I decided to buy this and make a routine so bedtime just became bedtime for real! My daughter at 10 weeks old slept for 7 hours through the night (unbelievable) the first night we put it on and has done ever since! Such an easy machine to use looks really fancy too! Absolutely over the moon!! Definitely worth the money!!
The added advantage is the night light and the fact that is drowns out the street noise and neighbours is an added bonus!!

Can play white noise all night as recommended to us by a medical professional. My baby loves waking up to the birds which we have set to play.
Brightness and fading of different coloured lights is lovely. It’s modern and neat.
Only downfall is can only be connected to one device, but it’s no big deal. Highly recommend.
I love this product, probably even more than my baby does! The settings are fabulous and it has so many colours and personalisation options! The only downside is that two devices cannot be logged into the lamp.. so if my husband tries to connect to it to control it then I get logged out and have to re-enter the details from scratch which is annoying since we split up the night and both need access to it. Other for this, I would have given it 10 stars because I am just in love with this product!
The marpac hush needs to be charged constantly so that was a no go and settings are limited 3 different noise settings – none are particularly good.
THIS on the other has is a dream come true! Not only is this a noise machine that stays on for as long as you like, but a nightlight too! It can be set to your babies preferences and adjusted all on your phone which is a godsend!
Honestly, yes the price tag is hefty but it is well worth it! It looks and feels more expensive than it is which is always a bonus.
I would give this 100 stars if I could!
