Work every time, one lighter is almost always all you require

They do exactly what they are for.
Plenty of them in the bag. Handy with the sachet of the stuff that stops damp getting to them.
Great for the log burner and great for bbq lighters as they are odourless so won’t taint the coals and food.

After a couple of cooks, I can confirm that they are every bit as good as the Log Barn product I used previously.

Nice size, compact little things. Only needed two to get the fire going. Good value for money and no smell like the traditional ones. Definitely buy again.

Best and fastest fire lighters I have ever used. Will definitely buy again. Used in our open fire as well as our log burner. Great value for money.

I use two to light my Ooni Pizza Oven with wood and it works perfectly, lights very easy. They will blow out in the wind but just keep them covered. If they do blow out they’ll light up easily again. I’ll definitely buy again.

Fantastic lighters, they burn for a relatively long time and light immediately. These are well made quality lighters and would buy again.

Started this fire with them. Seriously, why bother using anything else? Yeet 3 of them wherever you want, spark them with a lighter and there you go, you’ve just committed arson, or perhaps made a cozy campfire. Either way, 5/5.

Regarding the 1 star review of this product – the purchaser clearly didn’t understand what he was buying…

These are made of WOOD wool – i.e. wood shavings. He wouldn’t have been supporting sheep farmers (British or otherwise) regardless of where these were made.

With respect to the environmental impact of these starters – they are made using a renewable resource (and in fact a waste product of those renewable resources). Yes they will obviously emit carbon dioxide when they are burnt – but given that their entire purpose is as a means to light a fire or a BBQ that’s pretty hard to avoid and the amount of CO2 these will give off compared to the fire or BBQ itself are minimal. Basically if you’re concerned about the environmental impact of these starters, you probably shouldn’t be having a fire or a BBQ in the first place.

What IS important is that these are made without chemical accelerants like the kind found in lighter fluid or lighter cubes that produce nasty smells and which taint the flavour of your food.

Really great for lighting a BBQ chimney starter. Work first time, every time, unlike using paper as a starter. Happy not to be using chemicals. Highly recommend.
