Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI wish I had bought this sooner but better late than never with a few winter months still ahead of us!

I have a double sized bed and the size of this under blanket is perfect. I’m 6ft fall so a product that can cover from the chest down to feet was important to me and this has managed that. I’ve seen pics and reviews of other blankets not being as long but this has perfect coverage.

I have placed it on top of my mattress protector and under my fitted sheet. I only left it on for ~10 minutes on max (9) before getting into bed and it is heavenly as I write this review! It can then be turned down once in bed depending on how warm you prefer it.

Much more cheaper and much more effective than putting the heating on which is nowhere near as quick or comforting as this is.

I have a bed frame so whilst the string seemed unusual I’ve managed to secure it tightly to the bed frame to prevent any lateral movement and it was quite easy to do.

I’ve been getting joint/back pain over the past month possibly due to the extreme cold at night and other factors. But they say that electric blankets can help increase blood flow and prevent stiff joints etc due to the warmth so I’ll see how much that helps.

But even if it doesn’t this product is still worth the money. Anything that helps keep you warm is always worth the money in my opinion and as a bonus this helps you have a better sleep too!

Delivery was rapid as well only took a few days to arrive on standard delivery.

Edit: my muscle soreness/back pain has also improved since using this. It’s especially noticeable first thing in the morning when getting out of bed.

I love everything about this blanket all the function buttons, and the heat out of it is absolutely amazing and even holds the heat when the blanket is switched off as its fleece

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis electric blanket is really comfortable and easy to use. That’s the good news. The bad news is the fitting. You are just given a long piece of string which you are meant to thread around the corners of the bed (lifting the heavy mattress). Not what I would call ‘fitted’ by any stretch of the imagination. A real pity as otherwise this would be definitely a 5*.

Warms up quickly and is very soft.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThe touch of this under blanket is so soft and comfy. Most importantly, it fits my needs. I have tried those which is less expensive but I simply found that is too short. When it warms my feet, I feel cold near my neck. Therefore I looked for one which is longer in length. This under blanket is 190cm. Though there is no heat output at both ends, it still has heat output at a length of 148cm which is already better than those 135cm. Besides, I can choose to have more heat at foot area which is wonderful.
But I have to say that the buying experience is weird because it says I can get it in one day but in fact I got it in three days. On the day that I supposed to receive it, I received two pieces of paper telling me the blanket would be dispatched by another warehouse. And in the Amazon record, the delivery process was completed! No more tracking was available! I had been worrying for 2 days because of it and luckily the problem has been solved finally.

he little trafo box at the side is still within the lying surface and can cause quite a bit of discomfort when you hit it with your elbow otherwise, no complaints. Works well in cold nights!

Easy to use & heats quickly. Lovely to have dual controls & heat zones are very handy.
Down side – reams of unattached cord that you have to attach to secure the blanket to the mattress – would have preferred straps already attached – a pain!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersListing states item is fitted underblanket however it is in fact a tie down blanket.

Wire connectors are level with the lower of the pillow which means it can become an annoyance, strange considering the blanket reaches the top of the bed.

Took a little longer to heat up than expected, even though it claims to be quick heating but it’s fast enough.

The cable is a little bulky and poking out the side makes for an awkward experience. Although I was dubious at first it’s serving its purpose.

    Good BUT not the best.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBut having said that, it arrived quickly & I used it immediately without any problems. Fast heating, good safety timer too which cuts out to avoid over heating. Well insulated with fleece, so that you don’t feel the wires/elements when lying on it. Very happy with this blanke

I could start with the 12 hour time or the ease of use but for me it was the split. 2 controllers with top and toe warmth having 4 different heating zones 10 out of 10 great job

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt arrived with the box damaged but the contents were left undamaged. Having said that, this blanket fits my bed perfectly. Never had one that did before. My cat loves it too. She can feel the warmth righ at the foot of the bed. I suffer with really cold feet and lower limbs. But I found that having the heat on just for the feet when you’re sitting up, reading or watching tv, isn’t any good. Your feet are too far away from the heat. So, I have BOTH Feet and Body heat switched on. This works perfectly. I have them both on ‘9’ – for about an hour. This includes time taken getting ready for bed. There’s one small drawback. And this is:
The nylon cord ties. They leave indentations in a memory foam mattress – which I have.
What would work better – and make it easier and quicker to put on and take off, is to use a 2 -3cm wide, elasticated tape, sewn onto the blanket in a loop. So, all you would have to do is to loop it over the mattress. Especially at the foot and head end. There aren’t any tabs there right now. And this blanket needs them, I feel. The blanket develops one or two wrinkles at the head end, where the blanket slips each time that you get in and out. It’s not a great problem. I just reach under and give it a little tug every morning. But I will, eventually, sew my own tabs on and slip a length of tape through them. I like this blanket too much for this to become an unsolvable problem.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Usersi bought this for my 88 year old mum, to replace another well known make one. She has found it easy to use and says it heats up lot better than the last one which was only a few year old. She gets really cold feet so loves it that you can heat different parts of the bed if you want. We would fully recommend this product.

It looks the business says husband and he was eager to get this onto the bed. However as its fitted bit like a fitted sheet or mattress protector cover that’s when the problem started. I’ve got a Queen sized one and no way will it be ok for the double we have. I did think oh well, will hang over and maybe just cover the whole of the mattress with it but being fitted you can’t do that.
Has two controls so each of you can have your own desired setting on and that’s what we liked about it at first. So much easier having an electric blanket like that means one can have it warmer or colder than the other. Not badly priced either for the size and the way two people can control it. Was a chance I took thinking it would be just a flat one that didn’t have any fitting style to it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt takes a while to fully warm-up but it is great.
I love the fact of the different zone control as my wife is always cold and I’m usually hot so it’s flexible in the regards that each of us can control it to our preference.
My only gripe is the fitting with the strings and it’s not “skirted” but must be for them to be able to keep the price down.
Overall very satisfied and would recommend if your looking into getting an electric under blanket.

Once got this attached to the bed correctly fully fitted in this companies eyes is tying it the matress silly niggle aside it works as described.

Infact on the highest setting it is bloody hot.

Different heat settings and zones, programable timer and dual controls ideal for one half of a relationship who likes it hotter or cooler than the other.

Overheat protection too so do not worry about falling asleep with this on, it is also washable and apparently drier safe as the controller and cables are removeable.

It does take a good 30 minutes or so to warm the bed but tbh get it switched on before you plan to go and not a problem

  23. KathleneStclair says:

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersLovely and soft pile on one side and a felt like finish on the other. You could use this as a blanket, and the product images seem to show that use case. However, from it’s features, I suspect that it’s primarily designed to be used on a bed.

Each side has its own control cord terminating in a plug socket, meaning you’ll need two sockets in order to power the thing. There is 1.5m of cord between the mains socket and the control box, and another 60cm from there to the blanket plug. The cords are detachable from the blankets.

The control box is quite large, and has no way to hang it from anything, so it just dangles, which is a little annoying. The ergonomics of the control box are good though; there is a three position switch; the centre position is on; either end position is off, making it really easy to turn on and off by touch alone.

There are 4 buttons on each control box:
    – Timer; you can select the length of time it works for, up to 12h.
    – Body & Feet; each button sets the power setting for their respective zone.
    – Auto resets to position 5 (of 9) for 3h.

The control box is backlit with a blue light; it’s not my favorite night time colour, but mostly this is a set and forget device.

In use the blanket gets suitably toasty, and is more than comfortable to sleep on.

This electric heated underblanket provides you with the handy option of separate controls for body zone and feet zone, as well as left and right individual person control. For two people in a bed who are prone to different sensitivities of temperature, this can be a revelation. Our old electric underblanket had dual controls but didn’t offer the separate feet zone, so that really is a luxury touch that we appreciate.

What we are less keen on is the way the connector protrudes from the side – something we also disliked from our old one – it would be nice if this could be designed in a less obtrusive way as I always tend to ‘find’ it unintentionally when I’m sleeping. The other thing we are less keen on is the way in which it is intended to be tied to your mattress. The collection of strings just feels a bit basic and it would be nice if there were a more durable and convenient solution to this.

Those two gripes aside this underblanket works very well and provides a nice even heat without getting prickly or too much to bare, and you can just have it on low to provide some initial warmth. The timer setting is a must for ensuring you don’t leave it on excessively.

For a price of c. 55 (at time of review) that compares well with other similarly-featured electric underblankets so you are getting something competitively priced. The quality of manufacture seems good throughout and I have no real complaints.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe versatility of this electric blanket seems to ‘trump’ many others on the market. Not only is it fleecy, so gives a sensation of ‘cosiness’ before even being turned on, but also offers the temperature choice of upper and lower parts of the body variation. This alongside, for the two person sized bed, individual choices as well. Some problems are therefore solved where personal likes and needs vary.

Washable with disconnect able electrical parts there is no need to worry about the hygienic and cleanliness side of this. With ‘over heating’ protection this offers reassurance. I have used a lot of these heated blankets and this is the first time I have come across the timer element — yet another individual choice.

Two niggles really. One is the strings to secure the blanket in place. They rely on loops which the string threads through and then going under the mattress. Some mattresses are quite heavy so may require help to do this. I personally prefer the ‘skirted’ blankets that can fit down the edges of the mattress but as it is I think the current method is helping keeping the price down. Secondly and more importantly, the ‘fastening’ outer casing where the electrical parts connect, this part seems a bit flimsy and over time might not ‘clip fit’ so well – (where the ‘flap’ fastens over the top and a ‘dot hole’ secures it in place — see photo). If this stopped ‘clicking’ into place I would probably use strong plastic tape to secure the fastening. It would be better if it was more robust.

Having said all this you get a lot of choices for the price and ‘household brands’ are possibly up to double the price. I really like this.

    Heated blanket/mattress topper

I was sent this in return for my honest opinion on it.

Wow, I’ll be straight up and say, this is by far one of the best I’ve had for the price. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a memory foam heated blanket, like my current one but it’s nice and thick, super soft, cosy and it absolutely makes a difference to your comfort level in bed. There are pieces of white rope as such provided, to tie your corners down in place.

The bottom of the blanket, is where the two separate power cables connect onto the blanket. These are plastic, they’re somewhat close to the side edge and a little up from the bottom. I like that these are quite small, unlike my current one, which are large and they hurt my feet. These ones are roughly 10.5cm x 4.5cm.

You have a control device for each side of the bed and then each of those devices, control both the top and bottom half of the bed, separately.

These are easy to use, just four switches on the front and power switch on the side. You can use the ‘body’ and ‘feet’ buttons, to turn on those areas, together or just one part, which is good for me as my feet are always cold! These each can go from 0-9 heat levels. You also have a timer, this can be turned on from 1-12 hours, which I liked, as I know it will turn off whilst I’m asleep, it also has overheating protection, so I like that additional safety. You lastly have an ‘auto’ feature, this will turn both the body and feet on, at level 5 and stay on for a certain amount of time. The screen is easy to read and use, the best bit about the screen is, it goes dark after a short time period, so you’re not left with a glowing light in the dark if it’s on!

I do think this is a very good design. I love everything about it and have threw out my older more expensive one for it. However, the only thing is, it says on the actual page, that it’s machine washable, the power cables can be disconnected, so there is that but in the information booklet provided with the blanket, it says to not do this, as it could effect the heating elements, so I’m unsure about this. I actually hand washed my previous one, so personally, I would probably only do that again.

I would recommend this for quality, comfort, ease of use and the way it all works in separate sections, it is absolutely worth the price. I would just check the washing issue with the company, that’s all.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic

This really exceeded my expectations, super quality with lots of settings, mine has separate setting too for each side, which I really like. The top setting is really very warm, a bit too hot for me! But with all the options it’s just perfect and when it’s cold what could be better than a snuggly warm bed.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMONHOUSE Premium Soft Fleece Electric Blanket

The first thing I must say is that although this is a fitted electric blanket as the listing suggests, it does not come with an elasticated skirt, instead this has 4 small hoops and straps for tying this to your mattress. I normally steer clear of this type of blanket as they can often crumple up and become uncomfortable underneath. Although this blanket is a little different as the material is quite thick and stiff, which should help resist crumpling. On top of the blanket is a soft fleece like covering, this goes some way to help hide the wires that are in the blanket, you can still feel the wires but they are acceptable for me.

The blanket in the listing was described as Queen size, yet the purchase option describes it as King size,. The actual size is 200 cm across, with the heating element reaching 150 cm from the bottom of the mattress, so it stops short just below the pillows.

There are 2 very large digital controllers supplied, one each side. There is an on/off slider button on the side of each controller. On the front is a digital display, along with independent heat settings for feet and body. The controller can be set on auto mode, or you can select your own heat settings, along with timer settings.

I was a little disappointed to find that the controllers plug into a rather large plastic socket either side of the bed. There is no padding whatsoever on top of the sockets, so it can be quite uncomfortable if you lay on it or catch your elbow on it whilst sleeping.

The blanket appears to be well made, it has 9 heat options, it does feel quite comfy to lay on. I would have liked to have seen some padding over the controller sockets, also for me a skirt instead of straps would be preferable. But having said that, this is decent blanket for the 54.99 asking price.

I have never owned one partially because my Dad was a fireman as were not allowed them. So I have the king one and it just about fits it, could be bigger so it wrapped over the sides but it doesn’t. There are 2 controls, you can set it to be hotter where your feet is and cooler where your body is or visa versa. The wires inside the blanket can be felt slightly through the material but it was not uncomfortable. It has that fleece type coating. This requires 2 plugs so you need two sockets but it has 2 controllers so you can have different settings to your partner in bed. It can not be washed only surface cleaned so I would stick it under your bottom sheet. The connectors are quite chunky and are hard plastic but they are positioned under the pillow so its fine. I like it, it heats up gently and gets quite warm so ended up switching it off but it has a sleep timer on. Its worth the money and I like that you can have dual climate controls.

I have owned a heated blanket before but this material is completely different and it’s more like wool this one.
It Is really Cosy, nice to snuggle up in. Saves having my heating on so high as this gets pretty warm.
There is 2 remotes with this blanket to change the settings it has 9 different heat settings. I find it comftorable on 2 to 3 and find any higher just too warm.
It is machine washable you just detach the plugs from it.
As this is a king size there is the 2 remotes so you can change each side to the preferred heat setting.
It says its fully fitted but just comes with some ties which is useless for actually putting on to the bed.
But just for a blanket it’s great!
