The best garden vac I have had so fa
I have owned four garden vacs over the past twenty years. This is by far the best one so far. Great suction control via the power dial and good on/off control via trigger switch.
Both of these are required for my garden as we have decorative gravel which can get sucked up with the leaves and damage the impeller and casing, if not controlled well.
I usually get about five years out of each vac before they destroy themselves, due to the gravel mentioned above – hence I don’t go for expensive units.
The ideal vac for me would be one with a venturi based suction system which bypasses the impeller, however I don’t believe these exist.

Lighter than mos
I bought this to replace a heavier and more robust Ryobi machine. The Chinese-manufactured Pro-Kleen was certainly much lighter, and looked flimsier. I am over 80 and don’t have the strength I once had. But I managed to assemble the machine without too much struggle and was pleased it felt much lighter. The blow and vacuum settings were easily changed and everything worked effectively from the start. With a narrower tube I needed to suck in a few leaves at a time and the shredded easily into the bag.
This machine does all that it is supposed to do. Probably not the best for a large garden with masses of leaves to clear, but for my small garden and drive it seems to be ideal. Most importantly for me, I could manage it!
