Perfect?
I needed a 3rd Gen Echo Dot in an area with nowhere to put it other than on the floor, but this works perfectly to just hang it off the wall socket.
The Dot fits straight into the clips and then you connect the USB to plug cable in and wind away until it’s all kept out of sight and the plug is pushed into the casing. Plug it in to the socket and off you go.
I said it was ‘perfect’, however I had previously purchased a similar device for a 2nd Gen Echo Dot and that came with a very short USB cable so there was no need to wind a 1m long cable into the back of it. This doesn’t, so you have to use the original cable that came with the Dot.
The ‘green’ side of my brain says that’s actually much better, as there’s then no unwanted useless cable left over and one less thing to have to manufacture. But another side of my brain doesn’t like having to wind it around the back to hide it away.
You do it once, so it’s really not a big problem, so maybe it is ‘perfect’ after all?

It’s ok
This Amazon Echo Dot 3rd generation electric socket mount is ‘ok’, it was easy to assemble and attach to the electric socket. However, if used on a ‘flush fitted’ electric socket, it really does cause a huge degradation of sound quality on the Echo Dot unfortunately, I have used it on a ‘surface mounted’ electric socket, which means that there is a gap of several centimetres behind the Echo Dot, between the Echo Dot and the actual wall, and this gap improves the sound quality a bit, although it does still cause the Echo Dot to sound somewhat ‘muffled’ during use. I am glad I purchased it, as it has solved an issue for me in being able to place my living room Echo Dot in a suitable place, but I’m not sure that I would recommend this electric socket mount if you have the choice to place your Echo Dot sat on a suitable surface instead, because, as I say, it really does degrade the sound quality of the Echo Dot unfortunately, thus the deduction of one star.
Neat and tidy
Keeps the alexa wire out of the way. Only downside is most of my sockets are too near the skirting so limited to where I can plug it in. Love it though and put it in child’s bedroom and I feel they’re safer with the wires out of sight.
Don’t forget to dust them.
Nothing to dislike about this product, easy to in fit the echo dot, plug in anywhere, I have mine in the dinning area so can hear all over my bungalow.

Perfect for powering and securely holding echo dot and its cables.
Easy to assemble, though because the cable jack plug to the dot is straight it’s a tight squeeze to fit it in the gap between dot and plug unit, take time to get this right otherwise there is the risk of damaging the jack plug. The spare cable is stored in the back of the unit and the overall it is very tidy. There are a couple of foam spacer discs which fit on the back of the unit (if needed) so that it sits braced on the wall by the plug. The chances are that a wall mounted plug will have no obstruction for the sound coming out of the speaker and this improves the sound quality. For the price it is an inexpensive, practical storage solution.
Great Space Save
I installed this in my kitchen and it works fantastic, freeing up counter space. The plug in cord is easily concealed behind the device and done so without any trouble. Highly recommended.

Does what it said it would, neat cable storage allowing the echo to mount from the wall.
Item works well but feels a bit flimsy hence 4 stars there but it does the job I needed whereas before I used a small freezer bag lol to hang the Dot and cable under a wall PowerPoint (no work surface in that location)
