I’m pleased with the built quality. The design is similar to the official ones, and it feels like you’re holding onto something that professionals designed. The connecting process was straightforward.

However, my son is not very satisfied with this controller. He says it doesn’t have the same feel as the official ones (which I can understand). However, he enjoys it and doesn’t mind playing with it.

The battery only lasts a short time compared to the original ones, so he keeps the cable connected to the console. However, for the price, it’s suitable for a backup controller.

I hope this review helps you to make a purchasing decision.

This is a one of a kind Xbox one controller. It feels different compared to the original, but honestly theres nothing wrong with it! All you have to do is connect the usb stick and that’s it! Was quite a bargain as well.

    Cheap, but perfect substitute.

I wanted a decent controller to play some casual games on my PC as my original wired Xbox360 controller was starting to give in, this proved to be a good cheap alternative to paying full price for an Xbox One controller.

The controls feel tight enough, lighter than a normal controller and the joysticks and button actions feel smooth.
The added buttons behind as well as the turbo could prove useful in some games but I haven’t played enough different games to utilise it yet.

Easy to set up and pair with the wireless receiver and charges quickly enough.

    Good all-round controlle

    Good cheap 3rd party alternative

Fairly easy and straightforward to set up and use.
No problems at all using this with my pc.
Battery lasts a good while between charges.

It has a cheaper feel than the standard official controllers. The biggest down side is that the thumb sticks don’t pick up 360 degrees when turning but only really 8 or 16 different directions. It is also very ‘clicky’ and you can hear when each button is pressed.

It works well as a spare controller or for someone who doesn’t play too much. But anyone who plays a lot more games, they will probuably want a higher quality controller.

This controller works well as a spare

eeded/wanted an additional pad, didnt want wired and not paying 60 quid for an official one.
this was deliered quick, but the box is rubbish ,very thin card and some amusing chinglish written ,but it serves its purpose, built in rechargable battery charges in about 50 mins and lasts a solid 7 hours, not a patch on official but if your looking at 80 quid for the official combo or a third of the price for this.
pairing is simple, dongle in xbox power up and away you go.

seems to be just as responsive as official, matt soft touch feel buttons not clicky either but responsive.
also has the screen shot button, total waste in my personal opinion, but its nice its there for those that use it.

Such an amazing wireless controller .
This wireless controller arrived quick and it was well packed. Very stylish.
The colour….absolutely amazing…matt black…gorgeous, can’t take my eyes off of it which is not quite good coz’ i’m loosing the game …
The versatility of it is absolutely amazing. It can easily be connected to Xbox One/S/X/Elite and Pc. No need to install any software’s or anything like that…just plug it in and play…as simple as that.
L3 and R3 buttons have been added to the back of the controller which for someone that plays on console especially on Xbox One is an amazing addition…making the controller perfect for any shooter games, racing or fighting games.
The battery is amazing….it fully charges in 2 hours and it can easily las up to 8 hours of use without any interruptions. Amazing just for the simple fact that you don’t have to invest money in buying new batteries every time.
It has a very comfortable grip. The logical layout of the joystick, buttons and trigger mean that you will not feel uncomfortable during long gaming sessions.

I am gladly and wholeheartedly recommending this wireless controller to anyone. It’s an absolutely amazing controller….amazing quality at a very fair price. It’s worth every single penny. I can’t imagine someone would regret buying it. Worth the price 100%.

I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme.
This is a lightweight controller for the Xbox One, I don’t use it myself but the grandkids do.
It operates via Bluetooth and there was no problem connecting, however you have to use the supplied Bluetooth receiver, even if your computer has it’s own. Also there is no wired option, it’s Bluetooth only.
The unit recharges via micro-usb and a cable is supplied: it charges up well enough and you can use it whilst it’s recharging.
The rubberised coasting on the unit is good in the hand and quite non-slip and comfortable.
The grandkids like it and have no trouble operating it.
Retailing at 36.99, there is also a further 10% discount voucher available at time of review. Seems decent enough value for money.

Much prefer it to the Xbox controller, feels so much nicer and buttons are better. Connection is as simple as just plugging it into Xbox and it works straight away. Brilliant.

Prefer it to a original Xbox controlle

Good product that works with my kids Xbox, but there’s no headphone jack so he’s complaining he can’t game and chat to his mates. Bit of a shame, as it seems a great quality item. Probably going to have to
send the item back as not suitable for my sons intended purpose. Love the black matt colour, it looks cool and the actually controller feels nice to touch.

The controller has a good feel to it and the layout of a standard xbox controller.

Tested on Windows 11 in fortnite and it worked perfectly.

Very good price for a quality 3rd party controller.

Do think it would be better of it was wifi with the audio connector but it’s good non the less.

    Recommended.

My husband is very impressed with this controller choice which he is using for his Xbox One.

    – Extremely lightweight
    – Comfortable to hold for long periods of gaming
    – Has all the usual features needed for a controller
    – Is simple to charge
    – Holds the charge well
    – Is wireless, just need to kept the dongle in the Xbox when using
    – Has a much better price tag than the original controller!

Overall, my hubby would thoroughly recommend this.

Very comfortable to use and ultra-lightweigh

Everyone that’s handled this controller has commented on how nice it feels – it’s made of a an almost rubberised plastic rather than the hard plastic that an original controller is made from. It feels great, but a downside is that it does pick up fluff / dust / fingerprints etc. really visibly. It is also noticeably far lighter than an original controller; whether that’s a good or bad thing seems to vary by user. I like that it’s so lightweight, my 6 and 10 year old like it, but husband and (adult) brother found it disconcerting. The buttons all feel and press nicely and it has turbo buttons, which to be honest confused me as they aren’t buttons I’d use, but my brother assures me are a brilliant and fantastic, highly sought after feature and are conveniently positioned. It’s supplied with a micro USB cable for charging, which is a decent length and you can use it while charging.

All in all, this is a great little controller at a good price point; however, I had 2 quibbles: one was that it came with a screw missing and second was that you HAVE to use the USB Bluetooth adapter supplied with it for it to connect to your Xbox – cannot for the life of me work out why, because the Xbox console supports Bluetooth already.

Good value, lightweight controller that feels and handles grea

This is a nice controller, it feels great in your hands. It has like a matte coating which picks up fluff and fingerprints, but is really comfortable to handle.

This works with Steam and Epic games but I did find some latency, not awful but enough that I noticed a slight latency.
This requires the USB bluetooth receiver to be plugged into your PC for the controller to work. It can’t just be used via the cable.
It charges easily via micro USB cable, and can be used whilst it is charging.

The buttons are a little clicky, not as smooth as I would prefer them to be.

All in all this is a fairly nice controller. It would be better if it could also be used without bluetooth, just as a wired controller.

    36.99 at time of review.

The buttons are a little clicky, some latency, decent third party xbox/PC controlle

This third party controller is a bit of Plain Jane but does everything you’d expect of it, the only gotcha is you will need to put the dongle into your xbox or PC. Button travel and joystick sensitivity is good and it lasts a long time between charges. It does have a nice tactile grippy feel to it also which is handy when things get sweaty

Third party controller made of good strong plastic. Was very impressed with this controller which resembles pretty much the original Xbox one! Easy to push buttons and easy to grip. Great buy even if just as a spare back-up controlle

I picked this up as a replacement for my official Windows/XBOX controller that has developed a connection issue (I think this is fairly common).

Immediately, out the box, it feels like a great replacement. The button layout and the sticks/d-pad are almost identical to the WINDOWS/XBOX controller. The buttons all have a similar texture, although perhaps require a very slight amount more pressure to push down. The sticks and d-pad I think are equally sensitive. The trigger and shoulder buttons are also about the same in terms of sensitivity.

There are a few additional buttons on this controller that could come in useful. You have a ‘turbo’ button that essentially auto-taps a button of your choice. It’s kind of cheating, but you could use it in games that require you to bash a button as part of a challenge. You also have two buttons on the rear of the grip that you can click with your middle finger. These are actually really useful for mapping to a particular button/action, especially ‘dodge’ in fighting games.

Connection is really easy. On my windows PC, I literally just plugged in the dongle and the controller was automatically setup and working within about 10 seconds. Once I’d finished playing, I pulled the dongle out and the controller shut down – ensuring no wasted battery. Speaking of the battery, I’ve found it to be very good. You charge the controller via Micro USB and it lasts somewhere between 6-8 hours based on my experience.

One slight quirk I found was that when the battery runs out you cannot plug the controller in with the included USB cable and play directly cabled (as you can with the XBOX/Windows one). You need to plug in the dongle AND the cable to do this. Not a huge issue, but worth knowing.

Overall, I’m really happy with this. It’s great to find a plug and play wireless controller that is such a joy to play games with. It’s comfortable, responsive and looks great too.

Nice, simple to use controller for PC

Decent quality sister our replacement controller.

Very responsive, feels good in the hands no slip what seems good battery life (charged by the included micro USB cable.)

Turbo button and extra paddles underneath make this a useful addition to anyone console.

The only slight issue is why a controller marketed as for primarily Xbox series cannot connect natively and requires a 2.4ghz USB adapter to operate.

That aside it is a great controller and certainly something to conside

Easy setup. No lag. Controls smooth and easy to operate and controller well finished with satin black coating. Confortable to hold in hand for long play sessions. Very pleased.

    Great controlle

This connects to a compatible device via USB. I had to re-start our x-box one to get it to work properly with all games. The controller feels great – it’s made out of a kind of soft-touch, rubberised plastic rather than the hard plastic of a genuine x-box one controller.

The R3 and L3 buttons are in a really comfortable place to use. All other keys and positions are in exactly the same position as a genuine controller. The R1 and L1 buttons are a slightly different shape but apart from this the buttons feel identical. The controller is super, super lightweight – it has nowhere near the weight of a genuine x-box controller and this takes a little getting used to. It’s good value for money at the price-point but whether it lasts as long as a genuine controller will be a true test of if it is worth it.

Using this on PC (Windows 10). Just plug the dongle into a USB port, single-press home on the controller and it connects immediately, no drivers or other nonsense required.

It comes up as ‘Controller (XBOX 360 for Windows)’ and it all works as expected:
    – The two joysticks are discovered and are well calibrated/centered from the start,
    – The direction pad (d-pad) comes up as a POV hat,
    – The two shoulder triggers come up as analog levers,
    – And all the buttons (10 in all) work as expected.

The shell is rubber powder coated, so no slippy shiny plastic to grip. Oh and of course its all wireless (and works well with no lag) so all good there.

To test this, I used it on Pacer (a Wipeout clone) for hours, and then a couple of fighting games and it all went very well. Good rumble feedback and all the joysticks/levers/buttons work very well. Will also make a good (and smaller!) replacement for my joystick once I get back into Elite Dangerous and IL2.

    Downsides/potential future pain points?

There’s nowhere to put the dongle lid, so it will probably go walkies quite quickly, not a biggie.

Not sure how long the powder coating will last (it usually starts to rub away from even high end Logitech gaming mice within 18 months, so that’s probably the expected lifetime), but again, not a biggie as its expected.

It comes with very basic instructions, but you don’t really need any.

The instructions say Windows 10 only. I expect most PC gamers are on at least windows 10 now, but worth noting; there are no drivers for earlier versions, so if your OS can’t detect it as a PnP device, you’re sunk as there are no manual drivers.

Overall a very good wireless controller. I own a few other cheaper Xbox style controllers and they are all inferior, wired and gathering dust… so although this costs a little more, it’s a keeper so far!

Have rated this 5* as in its own right and judged just on it’s own merit this is a fab little controller. There’s nothing we have found that could rate it lower and the addition of the mod-able turbo and trigger buttons are fun to use!

Box states it’s for Xbox one but connected perfectly to our series x. Description of sale has all the different compatible uses. Once charged it connected via a dongle that plugs into the console USB port. So far it hasn’t ran out despite my kid playing it on and off for a few days now and signal didn’t drop when moving around the room.

It’s about the same size as the branded versions but has a softer, more comfortable finish to it and is much lighter. The keys feel a bit lighter and more “clacky” but work well. My 4yr old found it much easier to hold and use because of these things so would be a good addition to families who don’t yet want to give their kids the much more expensive versions that they might break or get wrist ache etc from holding.

    Brilliant budget controlle

I have been in need of a new controller to use on my laptop and this Game controller is exactly what I need.

Included in the box is the controller, receiver, charging cable (Micro USB) and a small instruction pamphlet.

The controller feels simply wonderful in your hands, it has a lovely soft feel (almost like velvet) from the rubberised coating and will certainly allow longer sessions of gaming.
Set up is relatively easy on the laptop – Plug in the receiver, press the home button and once the light turns on with no flashing, it is connected. If this is taking some time, press the reset button underneath which will turn the controller off and back on and connect again.

The instructions say that this will only work under windows 10, however my Laptop is running windows 11 and the controller has no problems working at all as Windows Games pass games worked flawlessly (see comment below). Steam also popped up that it had recognised the controller as well, and shows the controller will work in Steam as well.

The only issue I had was when I first plugged the controller in as it showed it had connected (no flashing light) but the game I was playing did not register that there was a controller connected. I closed the game, plugged the receiver into a different port at which point the controller was identified in the game and played without issue on all games after that.

One thing that I had to do was to turn the sensitivity down in the first game I was playing as the turning using the right stick seemed to be far too sensitive, but a quick drop of the sensitivity and that resolved the issue.

This controller certainly looks and feels like a quality item and will be my go to controller whilst gaming

Looks great, feels wonderful to use, works without fault on a PC, although very sensitive

The game controller comes in a small cardboard box that has a window so you can see the controller inside.

The controller comes with a micro usb cable that can be used to keep the controller changed. Is also comes with a dongle that needs to be plugged into the Xbox for use.

The controller itself looks very similar to the original Xbox series X controllers. The button layout is the same and there are even extra paddles on the back that can be used in certain games.

Easy to set up and play.
