Easy to assemble !!comes on a big pallet!but fits through standard door ,well packed !!it is all as you see a swing egg chair and good value!!
Wanted something special for Christmas from a close friend and this fits the bill
Not the first time we bought something from 1Above… and so far we have been happy with our purchases from them.
Order this Swing Egg Chair day before yesterday and though it wasn’t on Prime we received it today which is not quite bad for such a large package…
It came as a pack containing 5 individually packed parts – 1 egg chair, 1 bottom ring and 2 packs containing the connecting pipes/poles and a bag containing cushions… all parts were pretty well packed… the metal pipes including the ring were wrapped with two layers of protection – they were covered with rubber sheet and then wrapped with good amount of shrink wrapping… they made sure the chair is well protected – as you can see from the picture the chair too had two layers of protection. Everything well packed..
Unwrapping and assembling took less than 30 minutes, nuts and bolts were in place so didn’t have to look for a separate loose bag anywhere… the spring and the bolt at the apex where you hook the spring were in a separate small bag that was wrapped within the bottom ring.
Looks quite sturdy and feels quite sturdy., I am not a small guy and I didn’t have any issues or fear of it breaking when i used it, I even had my younger son (who is 10) sitting with me without any issues…
Cushions are good too, though they could have put in more filling… the head cushion has little ties and though they are long enough for one knot, i guess they could have made them a bit longer too… but these are not problems as I could tie the cushion without any issues, I just had to try harder to get the second knot done to make sure it doesn’t come off easily… the only negative I would say is that it doesn’t come with rain cover… but 1Above sells them separately so i will need to buy that to protect the chair from rain, and yes don’t expect it to allow massive swings… like all other chairs in the market, this only allow little movement but we expected that…
I am quite happy with my purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an elegant chair…
