Especially good for people learning. Being someone getting into Pool, this has become useful for me.
I didnt realise how important the shape of the cue tip was until I started using this thing.
Learning so much and its making me a better player, hopefully!
Great tip shape I am really impressed with the Adhafera Cue Tip Shaper! It is a 5 in 1 snooker tip shaper, and it worked perfectly for me so far. I’ve been using it for the past few weeks and it has really improved the performance of my cue. It comes with 5 different sized heads that work to reshape and smooth out your tip and make it more effective. It is very easy to use and you don’t have to do anything else apart from just shape it once. I can highly recommend the Adhafera Cue Tip Shaper!
Great 5 in 1 tool! Pros:
– Well priced (11.99 at the time of review)
– Easier to shape than using sandpaper, and due to metal file, should last a lifetime
– Good handy tool for the amateur pool/snooker player
Great for amateurs and those unexperienced at shaping tips A very good tool to have if you take pride in your equipment. It makes it easy to get a consistent shape to your tip thanks to the built in guides. I suspect someone who is experienced at installing new tips would think this is unnecessary but it’s a useful tool for novices like myself.
It has 3 different sections with different levels of coarseness; a ‘suffer’ for first stage sanding of a new tip, a ‘shaper’ for curved polishing and a ‘tapper’ for final polishing of the tip.
I found that the aerator was too narrow for my tip. I’ve never used one of these before so I’m not sure how deep the little needles should penetrate the tip but it is very narrow to the point where it could only penetrate the tip by 1mm or so. And I think I have a pretty standard size tip so it’d be no use for a pool cue.
Overall it’s a good product at a reasonable price.
Never knew these existed, got for a friend Never knew these existed, but thought I’d get it for a friend of mine who had a snooker table. Easy to use and strong evenly shapes the tip.
The tip shaper is remarkably good in doing what it says ,shaping the tip making it easy to pot the snooker balls.
Compact and a good price too. He is pleased with it.
Beats using sandpaper to get a domed tip I started playing snooker while at school back in the 1980s, using the cues that were used by everyone else. Like everyone else, I wondered why I couldn’t get the cue ball to screw back or miscued when trying to play with side. I read a book by Ray Reardon, where he explained that a domed tip had the greatest surface contact when hitting the ball anywhere except dead center. Essentially the cue ball has to skid forward while rotating in a different direction and for that you need a really good contact.
In those days no-one had heard of tip shapers, we used a fine piece of sandpaper and tried to shape the tip evenly. This tool from Adhafera is the first dedicated tool I’ve ever had for the purpose. Essentially there are two abrasive sections, one flat and the other curved. There’s a domed section for ‘polishing’ and something called an aerator, which pierces the tip to soften it. That sounds a bit drastic but it’s actually too narrow for either of my snooker cues anyway. Along the edges are a series of contours for checking progress against.
I’ve always got the shape I want with sandpaper but this is a tool you can keep in your cue case if you need to sand off a rough piece and polish it back into shape after. A little over-priced for what it is but a useful tool nonetheless.
Sophisticated. Versatile. Well made. Pocket sized. I like this accessory. It works! Not only does it enable me to get the best from my game with my own cues but it means I can make the best of any tatty cue in any bar room I might frequent. Sowing that seed of doubt in the mind of an opponent who just a moment before thought you merely a green horn. Sophisticated and versatile.
As a manufactured abject and as a tool I am pleased with it. Good quality.
This thing is small enough to fit in my cue case OR slip in my pocket. It’s not overly small. I can hold and manipulate it easily. The abrasive surfaces ARE large enough. It’s not a toy. Great
I hope these opinions and observations are helpful.
Cue tip shape A handy tool for any pool or snooker enthusiast who has their own cue. It’s small enough to be carried in a pocket or accessory section of a cue bag.
It’s good quality and easy to use, the sanding part is metal so should last a very long time. The rest is a very sturdy plastic.
Very useful tool Really useful tool, works well for sculting new tips, and the included guages are a useful addition. A super tool, although the desgin of it is a little odd,as it appear to be aiming to be a credit card tool, but is unable to fit in a wallet dud to the width.
Overall a great tool, and one that is definatly travling in my case with me

Adhafera cue tip shaper, 5 in 1 snooker tip shaper for effective and rapid repair cue tip.
Because this is small and compact, it can be kept in your pocket even if needed. But my other half keeps it stored in his cue case.
Personally, it reminds me of a swiss army knife for cues, because it has all the things you need in one device.

Simple desig I got these for a friend who plays in a pool league and he was thrilled with this bit of kit.
He was telling me that he needed to do some work on a new cue tip and this would help a lot.
The tool has a rough polisher to take off the edges of a new or misshapen tip, a curved polishing surface to shape the tip, several radius gauges so you can get the profile for the tip that you desire and an aerator tool to improve chalk uptake.
My friend was very impressed with this packet sized piece of kit.
Verdict: Good piece of kit that would make a great stocking filler for a snooker or pool player.
Works well Perfect for keeping in my pool cue case. Some tips are a bit big for it but with others they fit perfectly. A good gift for a pool/snooker fan.

Handy to keep in your case Great tool to have for any avid snooker players, very easy to use and handy to keep in your case. Multiple functions in one little device. Highly recommend, great value for money
An interesting addition to the tool kit! I quite like this tip shaper, look I still prefer my bow tie scuffer and aerator but the radiuses on the outside are actually quite useful to see how the curve is running across the whole tip. Its a bit gimmicky and the aerator was very small and even my 8.5mm tip would not fit inside it, but the curved sandpaper running along the side worked well for shaping. Im not sure its worth 12 but the rads along the edge are handy for a guide, it may get left down the local for our Monday night pool league, if just to give me something to do in a particularly long and tedious doubles match with lots of snookers…
5 IN 1 SNOOKER CUE TIP SHAPER SNOOKER CUE TIP SHAPER 5 IN 1 FUNCTION THAT INCLUDE SUFFER, SHAPER, TAPPER, AERATOR AND RADIUS GAUGE. SMALL COMPACT UNIT THAT FITS IN YOUR POCKET. RADIUS RANGES FROM R7.5-12.5. EASY TO USE TO SHAPE AND REPAIR SNOOKER AND POOL CUE TIPS.
Handy Very handy snooker cue tool all in one, what can I say brilliant item already getting a lot of use, didn’t realize just how much cue tips were out of shape, solid little item and glad I got this so easy to use tool, about 4″ long and 4cm wide. Comes in a little plastic pouch with a hole at the top which I use to thread a piece of string through to hang up by score board so it doesn’t get lost.
Good for Snooker and Pool tip size and shape consistency Now, having access to a snooker tip shaper is far from being a ‘must’ it has to be said! You could equally do most of the stuff this does (though maybe not the tip sizing?) with some fine sand paper. Still, if you are into snooker (or pool) and have your own cue; then this is a fun item to have in your cue case. Tips are really pretty expensive now, so you certainly don’t want to be messing them up.
Been a little while since I did the ‘shaping’ thing, and I’m hardly a pro! But this seemed fine. Think I would probably use it more for consistent sizing to be honest (though the aeration feature was something I’ve never thought of doing before); as some fine sandpaper is still quite easy to get nice tip shaping with. Nice though.
The ‘Aerator’ was too small for the tip on my snooker cue (and I don’t have a big tip on my cue); so would be far too small for a pool cue. Also, while there is a nice little leaflet with the gadget that explains the areas; you do need it, because there is nothing on the shaper itself, and all the areas look the same (could have done with 1/ 2/ 3/ etc or at least some idea of gradations of roughness)
Actually feel like my main use of this might be for when I go on holiday, and don’t actually have my cue with me, but end up playing on a pub table, or at Butlin’s. Those cues tips are often quite beaten up and very compacted. Could see how having this in my pocket could be a fun little thing, to get the tip back to a better place.
It does everything I am so glad I got this. Until now, I have used bits of sandpaper to shape my cue, often to my detriment when I have sanded down too much on one side and lost a good chunk of my new tip. The tool has everything you need besides the glue to stick it on. The sanding parts are made of metal to last a long time. I did not realise the importance of an aerator which helps soften the tip; all this time, I have lived with hardening tips without realising I could get more grip in the cue ball, especially screw-backs. The plastic part is finished in a rubberised coating which makes it pleasant to the touch. The shape profiles are generous to cater for different needs. I like this product, the quality and the price; I wish I had one when I was a better player. I recommend that you wrap it in something if you are going to keep it in your cue case, as the filing parts could scratch your cue.
Especially good for people learning.
