This hat is truly amazing. The inner surface is made of a velvet fabric that keeps it soft and warm. The outer part is made of a brighter and protective fabric.

Long enough to completely cover your forehead and ears. If you prefer, you can also use it short . But I prefer to use long to protect from cold and windy weather. It really works for me on long walks and especially in the early morning hours.

Being small also helps you easily put it in a bag or pocket and go out. I can say that I don’t go out without this hat lately.

It definitely keeps you warm and protects from the wind. I’m sure you won’t regret buying it. It’s more than my expectations.

I hope you find my review helpful.

It's a great product. Much better than I expected!

The Arcweg sports cap appears to be durable and we’ll made. It covers your ears completely and has no bulky seams. It looks and feels like the 90% polyester it is made of but does the job well at a very reasonable price. I might start wearing this under my winter coat too!

The Arcweg Winter Cycling Skull Cap has one big advantage compared to other beanies as far as this reviewer is concerned.

The lining and material go right down to the edge instead of stopping some inches away (see photo); this means that the ears are covered properly! So many beanies let the cold and wind through an open (or somewhat open) weave giving the wearer discomfort and earache. This beanie, being made for cyclists and the like, is designed to avoid that problem.

The thin (non-wool) material, in addition to keeping out the wind and cold, is also quite stretchy allowing a good yet comfortable seal around the head. Or if you’re not cycling or wearing a helmet you can wear another (perhaps woolly) beanie on top for more style.

    Covers the ears properly !

    Pros:
    – Made from warm material with velvety inner
    – Strong stitching, no loose threads
    – Reasonable price
    – Big enough to cover ears as well as head
    – Stretch material
    – Comfortable to wear

    Cons:

    – Comes up very large — was hoping to wear it under a cycling helmet in the winter, but it’s too big — not a close fitting skull cap
    – Too hot for exercising unless it’s sub-zero

You can’t beat keeping your head warm when the weather turns bitter and cold. It’s essential to keep yourself warm and cosy especially as the winter months draw in. This skull cap is well made and the fleece lining ensures you will be toasty throughout. It is a bit on the large size for me personally but can be worn a bit like a fashionable beany hat. As someone who commutes to work by bike and also jogs occasionally this is an essential bit of kit. Great value item which I would highly recommend.

Bit too large but still nice and warm

I miss read the manufacturers description for this item and stupidly didn’t realise that it is basically just for wearing under you cycling hat/protective hat. For me it’s not something that I would wear as a stand alone garment, rather it’d be there to keep my bonce warm and be hidden under something else as its rather shiny with thick stitching ridges. It’s not for me. It might be for you though.

However if you want a very well made thermal hat to sit in between your head and a cycling helmet, this is the thing! It’s very well stitched and has a lovely warm and snuggly insulated layer made from soft material. Then there’s the outer layer which is stretchy and has a very close weave so you won’t get any draft hitting your scalp for sure. You can easily waterproof it if you so wish.

It’s long! You can roll the brim of it up if you wish as there’s a good inch of spare fabric to be rolled over itself.

As the item that it is intended for, it’s fine and fits tight onto your head. It definitely works as an insulated cover for your head and would offer extra padding and safety in the event of a collision.

It can be washed in your machine at home and can be tumble dried if you wish. It’ll last for years I suspect.

At this price I can’t complain!

A tight weave. No more drafts on your scalp.

My husband cycles to and from work. His head catches a chill, but it’s too warm for him to wear a thick hat. However, this item is perfect, it’s thin, waterproof, warm and wicks away heat and swear. Problem solved.

This cycling skull cap in itself looks like a stylish beanie hat but, more importantly, it really keeps your head warm under a bike helmet.

It has the added advantage that it can be pulled down over your ears and yet, because the fabric is not too thick, it does not drown out sound.

Very good value and good quality.

I use this underneath my bicycle helmet in the colder months and it does its job brilliantly.
It’s thin enough to not interfere with the helmet sizing drastically, I just undo the rear adjustment wheel one turn.
Keeps my head toasty warm and is very soft and comfortable.
It is also long enough to fully cover my ears, which again is a plus as nothing worse then ear ache after being in the wind all day.
Being lightweight fabric it dries within a matter of hours if rung out first.
When this one dies I will gladly purchase another as for my needs it fits the bill perfectly.

Ordered this for running during the cold winter months. I thought it would be a fitting skull cap – soft, stretchy and relatively thin. It is however, fairly thick with a velour like lining. It hasn’t been cold enough yet to justify wearing it, but I can envisage it getting rather toasty on anything that isn’t a short run in very cold weather – I’m making comparisons to a thin Ron Hill cap that I use, and on a run in cold weather feel the need to take that off after 15 mins. I think it may work better for cycling where your head doesn’t get as hot, but you need protection from the cold wind at speed and to keep your ears warm. You’d probably need to have a little bit of slack in your helmet to wear this underneath.

It’s a hat that has a smooth outer, in man made fibre, with a fleece line inner, it’s then less of beanie as it makes no attempt to resemble a knitted hat, yet is effective by being a little different in style and being warm and comfortable.

Size wise it fit my big head and covered my ears.

As a helmet liner I would suggest you’d need consider this will make your head bigger, as being double layered it is a little thicker.

In conclusion a good simple winter hat, that manages to be simply a little different.

Fitted my big head and covered my ears.

This cap fitted me well and felt comfortable under my helmet, I will have to wait a few weeks yet to wear it and give it a real test as it’s far too warm at present, looks pretty well made no negatives so I’m happy.

Nice quality and a great close fit. Great for those who work outdoors as you could layer with another hat if needed. Recommend

I measured my head very carefully for this, mindful of the size guide, and got a large on that basis. It sizes up a fraction on the large side though, so if you’re unsure or between sizes I’d suggest rounding down. The brim/band of the hat is quite wide too (5cm/2in), but if you fold it up the beanie fits alright and looks more like a docker’s hat. It’s warm too, and that’s the main thing with this kind of hat.

This hat is covering my forehead and ears as well. This important because I have a bigger head than the average population.
… and thanks to it’ s size, giving me great comfort on a windy walk (especially its soft inside material).

It is lightweight, I can fold it easily, and carry in my jacket’s pocket.

It is washable, so I can put it in the washing machine with my sportswear.
    … and it drys easily.

It is just perfect for me … and totally meeting with my expectations, and requirements regarding my activities.

Simple perfection with full of comfo

The fit was just as expected not a tight fitting felt snug and comfortable. Hat was long enough to cover my ears and keep them warm at the same time.

There isn’t any design to this hat it’s just a thin fabric so I wouldn’t recommend wearing this as fashion statement. But for wearing under your helmet it’s ideal.

The hat is of a thin material and when I went to try on my helmet I was actually surprised that it wouldn’t fit. It did require me to readjust my helmet to make it fit. Not a problem for me as my helmet just needed a slight loosening on the back dial so no big deal.

Im quite pleased with this item I will feel a lot more cosier during my morning commutes.
