Upon purchasing this remote for my son I just assumed the joystick + buttons lit up one colour, which I thought was pretty cool and my son would like, you should have heard his excitement when he realised they changed colour….its rainbow, he shouted. Very happy son = very happy mum!

Batteries don’t hold a charge after 30 days have to now have the controller plugged in for it to work.

1 battery lasted 2 and a half years of heavy gaming before it died. The other still holds charge to this day, but also happens to be the one that didn’t sit as firmly in the controller. A little electrical tape solves that problem.

These units have great uptime, and my last battery still holds enough charge to go 8hrs. Used to go no problem for multiple 6-10hr sessions before needing to charge.

Hard to say anything bad about these. I got my money’s worth. The fact that one kicked the bucket after all this time prompted me to write this review. Switching to rechargable AA’s to avoid being stuck buying this form factor of battery forever. But if you aren’t trying to go down that rabbit hole, you have found the best kit.

Served me well for almost 3 years of heavy use

There aren’t too many decent equivalents for this out there nowadays, since the controller is a somewhat older model now. It’s good enough for my needs, however, as a PC controller for when I don’t quite need the full HOTAS setup. Still, I got tired of burning up AA batteries for no good reason so I ordered this.

The batteries and charger all work perfectly. They arrived with sufficient charge to be used right away, though I wouldn’t consider that a guaranteed thing with any rechargeable battery. More importantly, everything works flawlessly, including the charge-while-playing cable that is sort of a bonus as I see it. I haven’t used these long enough to comment on battery life just yet, only having had them for a day so far. I’ll update this once I have more time on that front. I wanted to get a review up quickly, however, since it’s easy to overlook.

I honestly couldn’t be happier with the product at this stage. Assuming battery life is sufficient, and I have no cause to doubt it will be, this is a steal at only $25 or so.

Seems to work okay, the only thing I discovered that I don’t care for is that it seems to only charge the battery packs that came with it. I had other battery packs for 360 controllers and it won’t charge those and I had to throw them away as I was not about to buy another charger.

Battery has a default as in acid leak and will not work if charged properly
Play with charger cord for about 1 Hour, take cord off usage of play time will last up to 18 – 22 hours witch would be 7 days
unless you are a Hard Core player say up to 6- 8 hours then count down to 3-4 days.
if you are going to be away more than 3 hours plug cord back on the charger for a steady flow for amount of a full charge. If you want complete charge let set through out the night with system off

I didn’t want to keep using AA batteries for my Xbox 360 controller. I saw this and it’s exactly what I wanted. I don’t have to keep my controller plugged in to charge them since it came with a separate charger that can be plugged directly into the Xbox or an outlet if you have an extra adapter. The batteries have lasted longer than I expected as I’ve probably used the controller for around 20 hours with one of the batteries that already came charged and it’s still only at 50% life. I don’t plan on using the cable that can plug into the controller while playing to charge but it’s still nice to have just in case. I haven’t been able to see how long it would take to fully charge the batteries as I haven’t needed to yet, but it’s still worth it to never have to use AAs again.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe charge in my batteries has lasted since I bought them. It’s been months and I haven’t charged them. Now mind you, I’m a semi-busy person who only gets in about an hour of play a day and I have many systems so it’s not like it’s been a month of straight play. Still, that the batteries have lasted this long and are still going without a charge I felt deserved a review.

Also of note is that the charging cable that comes with the set is fantastic and is as long as the original cable that Microsoft used to sell so you can use it to play across a room while you’re charging.

Overall I was very happy with this item and will probably buy another one at some point in the future, great product, highly recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersUpdate 09/05/18: After posting my initial review describing faulty items, the seller contacted me and offered to send a replacement to make it right. The kit arrived within a few days. The new charge pack appears to work as described and I was able to charge the batteries in the kit. So far, so good powering my controllers. It seems that I received a bad item on the first go-around and Bonacell has corrected this to my satisfaction. I can now recommend both the product and the company. Thanks, Bonacell.

Original Review: I have two authentic Microsoft wireless 360 controllers and I tested this kit with both. Batteries do not charge with the charger base or controller cable. The light on the base is green (full) when no battery is in, and doesn’t turn red (charging) unless you plug the battery in just so, and then it doesn’t even charge. Batteries do not charge even if you ignore the lights and plug the batteries in until they snap into place. I did try cleaning the contacts as well with no improvement. Controller cable light doesn’t come on at all although the controller will turn on so there is no indication on the battery status, but I left it plugged in for 4 hours and the battery had not charged. As mentioned, controller cable is not recognized as a data cable so you have to use the wireless pairing, but the controller cable housing covers the pairing button. Absolutely unusable and a waste of money.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersIt’s getting harder and harder to find good rechargeable batteries for 360 controllers. However, this is still one of the good ones. After having several of my official Microsoft batteries go dead on me I ordered these to replace them, and they are working great so far. You can recharge with the stand alone charger or the controller plug in.

The controller does work with the charger cable plugged into the XBOX, so it essentially turns it into a wired controller while plugged in which is a useful feature to have.

These are the highest capacity batteries I’ve been able to find for the 360 controllers, and they seem to be working as expected.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWorks as intended. The charge on the batteries have lasted me well over a week with PC gaming stints of 2-4 hours per day. The green and red lights are soft on the eyes and it charges fairly quick too. I haven’t really used the charging USB wire since it comes with a battery pack of two but in a pinch, it can save you from your controller running out of juice during an important moment.

As the headline states, the charging USB wire does not automatically recognize Xinput for PC gamers. It will only install drivers to the PC so that it can recognize and charge it. Purchase an original Microsoft wireless adapter if you plan on using an Xbox controller for PC!

Product is great, and exactly as pictured. With the two batteries, it comes with a charging dock to USB cord, and a Xbox controller to USB cord (which I presume will charge the battery while in the controller – I have not tried).

I also assume that the docking station is intended to be plugged into the Xbox USB port to charge, which I haven’t done. I charged my batteries by plugging the charging dock into a USB-to-outlet adapter (which is not included). That seems to work fine.

The dock has a red light on it that will indicate charging, and a green LED that will indicate that the charge is complete.

I can’t comment as to how well the batteries hold charge, because I’m using my Xbox as an over-priced Netflix machine. Real gamers use a PC.
