Can be used wherever more security is required… in my case securing a swing gate to a fence. The numbers move quite easily… not too sure how they will react to some -30 C Alberta weather.
Advertised as rust-resistant… time and weather will test that.
As with most cable locks this set is a deterrent and serves to delay /persuade someone to look elsewhere for some ill gotten gains. Make no bones about it… a determined person with some bolt cutters would make pretty easy work of removing this from what it was protecting.
It is pretty long and can be utilised in a number of different ways. It does appear to be pretty robust. There are concerns about performance in -30C and the lock/cable combo can only be looked at to provide a deterrent factor. It used to position/ retain something it has its merits. However, the previous caveats should be borne in mind.
Price-wise it is fairly competitive
Lightweight security
This four digit combination lock have a number of uses. I’m not sure the lock is robust enough to repel a determined attack, but is good as a visible deterrent. The lock and cable do have the advantage of being light weight and fairly compact, so easy to carry around. Also, there’s no keys to lose. The combination was easy to change to any four digit code. The steel cable is plastic coated and long enough to pass around a lamp-post and bike frame. I’m currently using it to secure three bikes in my garage.

Slim covered cable with padlock
Seems to be well made – I like the plastic coating to protect the item being locked. Not sure how long the cable will ‘look like new’ as being used outdoors but after 3 weeks I don’t find any deterioration yet. Pleased with my purchase.
