very very thin, but perfect for my use
I’m not sure I’d like to rely on these for an emergency but as something to keep heat (or coolness) from escaping they seem to work fine. I bought these to use in conjunction with a cool box. The silvery surface is fine at reflecting heat away and keeping the temperature as it should be. Not going to give it five star overall as I don’t think it’s a perfect product. For my food it’s fine but for humans (unless they are very small) I doubt one would be enough. That said, they are cheap and seem to last. Keep a few packs in the car and one in a go bag. Or if you’re me, one in the cool bag!

Lightweight one-use foil blanket - good extra insurance for general outdoor activities
Product as described. Reasonable size, cheap, each packed blanket easily fits in a pocket. A blanket makes a fast and simple outdoor shelter – waterproof in non-extreme conditions. Reflective on both sides so decent at retaining body heat. A good easy-to-carry extra insurance for general outdoor activities.

Note that the blankets are only reasonably robust – they can tear quite easily so really only suitable for single use. They don’t have reinforced edges or holes for secure attachment – but are not sold or advertised for such ‘more extreme’ uses.

Blocking out the sun - it works!
I wanted it to block the sun coming in through a window.
One of the reviewers asked if it was possible to use this to reflect the sunlight and heat coming through a window into a room.
I have to say it’s a big success.
The sheets are huge, so cover my large windows.
The sheets look creased because of the way they are folded, however this isn’t a problem for me.
You can actually just see through them – a bit – as the metal covering is micro thin. However, they hardly let any light through and on a hot sunny day, they do reflect nearly all the rays back outside.
My room, which is usually roasting when I wake up in the morning, was for the first time lovely and cool.
Btw I hung it by sticking it onto a strip of cardboard and then hung the cardboard on the curtain rail.
    A real success 🙂

    Bug out bag essentials
Good price for the number you buy.
Not used as for I.C.E so can’t comment on durability.
