SECURE STRAPS

Over-foot straps are able to keep and secure ice cleats on footwear. Easy and fast to secure the optimum fit. let ice conditions slow you down again.

How does the sizing come in? i’m a uk size 4.5 shoe, so tend to wear a uk size 5 shoe

Usually the sizing of these snow grips cover say shoe size 3 to 4.5 for which the small snow grip should suffice and the medium snow grip size for shoe sizes 4.5 to 5.5.

I wear a size 44 (9.5) scarpa walking boot, which size would i need to go for l or xl?

I would say it depends on the type of walking boot; for trail-type walking boots a L may be ok but for heavier duty mountain type boots I’d perhaps be more inclined to use XL.

How would these work for a trucker? Sometimes I have to walk across icy snowy spots.

My husband says these would work. He was able to drive in them. They slip on and off quickly.

How do i put these on ?

You just stretch them over the toe and heel of your shoe and then do the strap up that goes over your foot. Very easy

These are the second pair I have bought, quite simply because they are invaluable if you go out walking in the icy weather – even just walking the dog.
They are dead simple to stretch over your boots and give an immense amount of grip.

I have decended mountains in full confidence while all around my people could not stand.

For the price of a pizza, these will save you broken bones.

This is my first set of crampons so I don’t know much about them. I want them for winter hill walking as I’m fed up of turning back when it gets snowy and icy. They seem fairly strong and are easy to fit by stretching the rubber over the soles of your boots and tensioning them with the webbing straps that fasten with velcro. These aren’t going to be any use for climbing Everest but I’m confident they’ll be great for my sort of walking. They come with a small bag which will stop them getting snagged on everything when they’re in your backpack.

They appear to be well made

They come in a decently packed cardboard box and are in a plastic bag inside the box.
Mine are Extra large so had an XL printed on it.

My shoes are a size 10UK. It was wasn’t too challenging to put them as my shoes aren’t that hard and I could bend my shoes but I can imagine them being a real challenge to put on with more sturdy shoes. The security was great from the moment I put them on to when I actually used them in practical situations. The elastic frame did a brilliant job in not too feeling tight to my feet, there was a healthy balance of tightness and practicality.

Since we just received around 10cm of snow in the UK I’ve been able to put them to use. They don’t work too well in icey conditions, their best use case in my use was deep snow. In the snow they have the traction of football boots on grass.

These are great quality and would definitely recommend.

    Would recommend

These crampons are quite simple in construction: steel spikes joined together with chains and attached to a soft rubber strap.

They are easy to put onto your shoes although the rubber strap does have to be stretched over your shoe which does take some effort but makes sure they stay in place. The steel spikes and chains cover the sole of your shoe. There are also two velcro strap to secure them in place over the top of your shoe.

Size 11 north face boots with the XL crampons fits well. It does require some adjustment to make it symmetrical. I’ve some slippy days ahead so will update late

    Easy to put o

These are perfect for working outdoors. My son works at different road locations so these will be perfect to prevent him slipping over. They’re rubber so fit around the top of your shoe or boot. They need a good stretch though so need a bit more strength than I’ve got.
Underneath are metal spikes that seem durable.
They come with a bag to keep them in and I think they’re reasonably priced compared to other similar products.

    Perfect for working outdoors

These are crampon/ ice spikes that are brilliant for hiking in the snow and ice. I have used a similar product before but it wasn’t as well made as these and broke. These are very strong and have a strap that can be used or not as you feel fit but I will be using them to ensure they stay where they should. A great product that prevents slipping and potential accidents in icy weather. Highly recommended.

Robust, easy to fit, do their job. Good value, great emergency item to have in the car.

These work well in mud and I expect they will work just as well in ice and snow, they are not too difficult to put on my large steel toe cap boots and easy to remove, best to take a pair of disposable gloves for mud and a bag to keep them in as they don’t come with one and I got mud everywhere when I took them off, don’t let this put you off as they do the job well that they are supposed to, just be prepared.

Have you ever received a parcel from Amazon that contained the wrong item? When I first opened this box and was confronted by a tangle of black rubber, chains and spikes, I honestly thought I’d mistakenly been sent some kind of bondage gear! Even when I took it out of the pack, it still took me a moment to understand what it was. I’d requested these for my partner who is very outdoorsy (and also, it must be said, a bit clumsy) and I was validated when I passed the pack on to him and he had a similar reaction. Once we were both clear on what the items actually were, his reaction was “When you said crampons, I wasn’t expecting THIS!” – which is a good thing. These are not your everyday “the pavements are a bit slippy today” crampons, these are full on outdoorsman gear. They’re probably not going to get you up Everest, but perfect for tramping around the woods in snow, ice or even just muddy weather. They feel very tough and fit on his shoes well, we are both well impressed with them and it’s one less worry I have when he goes out for a day in the woods. Also worth mentioning the price, currently 11.99, which is absolutely brilliant for such solid and functional outdoor gear.

Have not had a chance to use them yet but the design and make of these are great and i can see they will do the intended job!

Tried on my partners shoes (he’s a UK size 9) and I ordered the XL grips and thought they might be a bit big.

However, they fit perfectly and don’t slip off, once they’re on they’re on. Very strong and they seem to be fantastic quality, nice and thick, I don’t they will split any time soon.

And plenty grippy, which is what we wanted! Very good.

They fit very well and seem very strong

Fit over my work boots really well. Heavy duty crampons, flexible velcro bands to secure. Reasonable price for high quality item.

Fierce spikes on these. They fit well over work boots (don’t try them inside, you’ll ruin your flooring!) and wellies. Can’t quite get them to fit nicely on trainers, but I’m sure they do if you need them too. A bit fiddly till you know what you’re doing. The velcro strap is needed to keep them in place. These are going in the car in case the need arises. Walking with them on ordinary concrete is not fun, these are definitely only really useful in thick ice.
