This hand seamer looks and feels solid. It bends sheet metal well. The jaws are about 3/16 inch thick and the handle is sufficiently padded. It’s well built and based on this I am presuming it will last a long time. It’s definitely worth the price.

Schnelle Lieferung. Also alles top

I use it for bending aluminum flat stock. Only downside is it’s heavy for it’s size.

I have only used them a couple of times. They seem to be pretty good.

It does a good job giving you angled folds in hardened metals when you’re building ducts for example. But Alumin is too soft to get a sharp 90 bend. It will roll unevenly if you try

All that you’re looking for in a pair of pliers

I am an old school craftsman retired Siding trim is one of my specialties. When I went to dig my tools out my hand seamers were gone. I have to be honest I wasn’t expecting to find seamers that met my expectations. These seamers are awesome, better than the seamers I used before retiring. I am very happy with them.

I needed to make a 45-degree bend in some sheet aluminum, so I bought this tool. It worked on the 1/32-inch aluminum with some effort on my part. The calibrated notches at each end of the bending tool were very helpful in lining up a straight bend. Then came the 1/16-inch aluminum. I guess I’m not strong enough. So, I made a shallow cut with my rotary tool along the line where I wanted the bend, and then I was able to use the tool to make the bend. I won’t be trying it on steel, and I won’t try to compete in Strongman. Still, a pretty good tool for what it can do. I’ll keep it around.

This thing bends aluminum with ease. Harder metals like ductwork and metal roofing require two hands to compress fully. There is also a risk of scratching the surface for harder metals as it can shift around when you put another hand on it.

Besides that, very easy to use and very pleased with it. There are notches on the side every 1/4″ to help you know the depth of bend. The maximum bend depth is 1-1/4″

I used this tool to bend the drip cap on my window. It was easy to use and worked well. It is well built. I have been looking for a tool like this as a portable sheet metal bender. Also used it to change the angles on joist braces and other metal items that need to be re-bent or adjusted. Very heavy duty!

perfect for straightining coiled strapping and prototyping brackets. one should be made for straightining bent aluminum arrow shafts.

Although I needed a brake to make crisp bends in the shingles this tool functioned will for un doing hems and making new ones.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe “lock” feature doesn’t appear to do much as the tool isn’t completely closed when it is engaged. It would be nice to have it lock the workpiece in place like a vise grip plier making it easier to bend the metal. It was also not very easy to bend in a near 90 degree bend as expected, but it did perform sufficient for my needs for the cost.

These “tongs” as they are called in the sheet metal industry, are as good as any famous name brand tool.
I built a birdhouse out of sheet metal and I couldn’t have done it without these.

It’s a cheap tool. Not the most well built, but gets the job done. Not a good tool if you’re doing finish type work with it, it just isn’t precisely enough built for that. If your doing just maintenance type stuff though, it’s fine. For the money spent on it though, it’s just fine.

These are great for straightening aluminum fascia that gets bent in transit. A superintendent at a job site had a pair and they were a godsend then and these have worked reliably for me this past year.

    Definitely worth the expense.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood heavy duty construction just as advertised. All steel makes them much more rugged than the cheap aluminum set I had. I am using these to finish off the edges of standing seam roofing. The narrow opening jaws makes it necessary to be meticulous with my first bending tool. Otherwise I can’t open them wide enough to flatten out the metal. Also, I would like to have a longer handle so I don’t have to squeeze so hard. It’s rough on my old arthritic hands. It definitely mashes that metal though. It makes a nice looking finished fold on the 26 gauge steel roofing that I’m using.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI like almost 99% of the product, the downside was the closure mechanism does not have an adjustment barrel for different metal thicknesses. Works great for joining 24 to 20 gauge sheet metal but anything thinner gauge will slip through the jaws, anything over this will not close the jaws. As mentioned they are a good tool just missing a height adjustment barrel.

Works but doesn’t have a solid bite. Also, the lock keeps getting in the way, I’m about to remove it.

If I could give 4.5 stars I would great value. Meaning it is inexpensive but gets the job done. Only problem is a slight bit of exesive clearance leading to an inconsistent bite. But it gets the job done for significantly less than major top brands.
