Easy to install, just follow the included instructions and connect to WiFi. Replaced an existing halogen floodlight which was far too bright and inefficient. Obviously, the light is not as bright but sufficient for the area. The power and reset button are on the underside behind a rubber seal. You can power directly or use the included solar panel. Or you can charge the battery and then recharge manually when low. The unit comes with a cable but no plug. I have a few spare, so no problem for me. The image recording is sharp and its quick to access them. The app is also easy to use, and you can manage the action area of your recording or the sensitivity of the recordings. You can either save on local SD ( I’ve used for now) or cloud storage, which you get 7 days free an then you need to pay for a plan. Overall very pleased.

Our whole family really like this solar cam. I bought one of them for more security at home. I’ve install one on my front porch and thinking of getting other in my alleyway. I like it so much because even at night it still detect and flashes the light to view in color so that all darkness is lifted up and everything can be seen in color compared to previous non night camera. This makes it a Nice and the best the alarm system i have ever had and competes with a ring or right secure alarm system without the need to pay for costly monthly charge. I hope it come with internal memory to save the videos or better yet if you could save all the videos on your phone using micro sd and can be extended up 128gb. This allow for further recording without the need to store in to the cloud which is very expensive

We bought this new brand security camera with reference to the specifications. Yes, it is easy to install and set the system step-by-step. We can view on the scene and check the history anytime, and such quality pictures of day/night vision are good. Besides, it is easy to adjust the camera and do intercom when needed. Great security camera! Thumb up!

I have now purchased 6 IeGeek cameras, both wired and battery. Each has been super easy to set up in the iegeekcam app and worked perfectly straight out of the box (unlike some cameras from other brands) WIFI range is also extremely good, again unlike some cameras from other brands I have used. To date they have been super reliable. Very impressed and I’d recommend highly

Easy to install, picks up any motion. Has lots of functionality and comes with a solar charger, also has an sd card slot and connects to the cloud over wifi. Great bit of kit. One thing of note is that the solar charger needs direct sunlight so south facing only if you want to use the supplied charger which somewhat limits where you can install it if you want to use that option, it does however have a 3 meter cable so this can be overcome with the correct positioning.

The solar panel needs to face the sun as much as possible if you have a ton of motion in the winter months otherwise, it stays charged just fine even in a bit of shade.

The customer service is the highest level I have seen in decades. For those of you that remember Radio Shack or any 70s-80s store … if something went wrong it got fixed no questions asked or replaced. Tiya Liu, a customer service rep, has been helping me daily on problems and I cannot thank her enough.

Also easy placement and exact position by viewing on phone, saving up and down ladder! Recording quality day and night excellent, but so easy to operate especially the Siren and lights if needed to work manually. For ease of fitting, using and peace of mind this is a camera I would genuinely highly recommend to protect your home and property. David

I bought this camera to replace an ageing and unreliable battery camera.
Not the cheapest, but very reasonably priced considering what you get..
This one from IEGeek comes with everything needed for installation (except an SD card).. the camera, solar panel and 2 mounts, plus micro usb cable to initially charge the massive internal battery.

The picture quality is excellent, even at night, and with very little lag which can plague other WiFi cameras. The added floodlights are extremely bright, and are able to be triggered manually if required through the companion IEGeek app.
Motion detection seems to work very reliably too.

Still early days but I have been very impressed so far and would recommend this camera to anyone looking to replace an existing camera setup or start a new install.

    Excellent Image Quality

I have dealt with ieGeek in the past and purchased two other security cameras three years ago and have had no problems. They are an excellent company to deal with and for this reason plus I am very pleased with my previous cameras I decided to buy a third camera from them. There are so many companies selling security cameras it is a minefield. Rest assured ieGeek have a great customer service. The cctv camera was so easy to set up and the image quality is brilliant. The wireless camera can remotely view live images and when somewhere is near it will send me a message on my mobile phone. The angle is wide so you get a really good view and night vision is excellent. No cables and the solar panel charges the battery plus no monthly subscriptions. It’s so good when we are away to be able to check on our surroundings. Fantastic product so highly recommended.

Compact all in one housing so should be good for preventing water ingress, slick design reminds me of the 1950’s war of the world’s alien machines.

Comes with two mounts, black and white and a solar panel with about 3 metres of cable, which for me was the main selling point so I don’t need to hook it up to power.

Easy access to memory card underneath a rubber tab.

I added it to my camipro app, limited functionality in app, probably more control when accessing via a desktop browser (not tried yet). Obviously cannot use with continuous record. I doubt UK winter weather will give the solar panels enough sun to charge, but can be charged via a USB adaptor, I plan to plug in a powerbank once a month to give it a full charge during the winter months, hopefully won’t need to do this during Summer.

Image quality is good at 2k, covers a wide angle so get in most of the garden. Spot light has bright LED’s which can be adjusted to reduce brightness, probably best to set to lower light levels to conserve battery power.

Overall easy setup, looks good, might buy another from the front of my property as I am using this one in the garden to add some extra light at night so good dual use.

I am usually more skeptical about new designs cameras but I was surprised how I started to love this little compact camera.

The fact it has a huge battery and it runs without being plugged into the main source is already a selling point. Yes, I know it can be lots of the same or similar cameras in the market but not his quilty.

After the design, the night mode was a must I needed to be good. I tested several ways and I am convinced the Full HD comes in night mode too. There are lots of functions which is available like motion sensors, full HD/sd, time settings, battery management, showing the percentage of the battery life, and alarm management. All good.

The 4 more things I like and it was important to me:
    – Small, compact design
    – Powerful lights
    – Nightmode
    – Runs on Sunpower with a good powerful recharge

For me the other options are bonuses.
The battery life is amazing, the motion sensors alarms are working without any confusing settings, easy to set up took me about 3 minutes, just because I had to go downstairs to have the wifi code. I using this camera for front garden and front carpark check.

    Very nice, compact desig

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersTo start with, I’ve had many security cameras from various manufactures over the years. Some from ieGeek (strange name btw a bit like the Kia Pro C’eed a few years back!), and others from competitors. I’ve also got several motion sensitive floodlights around my property. To start with the pain has always been when the batteries get low and you have to get up ladders to change the batteries. Or for some with inbuilt lithium ion rechargeable batteries you need to do the same thing. Get the ladder up, take the camera down and then charge the thing. Then back up the ladder to reinstall it. The solar panel negates this problem with a trickle charge constantly keeping the battery charged. I bought this recently when we had entered autumn months so time will tell how it fares in the shorter days in the winter.

That’s the first thing. The second is, if you have anything worth stealing any burglar worth his salt in the advent of commonplace CCTV will still knick your property regardless of CCTV images. They simply put their hoodie up and carry on regardless. So resolution of images is paramount. Gone are the days of grainy night-vision recordings from my previous cams. The image from these at night is awesome. Colour images at night with no distortion. So you can tell if the arse scoping your property is wearing a blue, black or even pink hoodie.

And I think this is down to the included floodlights. Without these it would just be another cam with night vision. I assume this is where they get the colour night-time images from. So the floodlights serve a dual purpose. They alert the potential burglar that they’ve been detected and also allow 2K footage to be caught in colour. So much better in evidence to use with the police or the courts. But the latter shouldn’t be a concern. With security, be that burglar alarms, motion detectors or cameras, the main purpose is to get any potential burglar to move on to another house because yours in too high risk.

The cam records to both the Cloud and an internal micro-SD card (should you install one). So should power drop, the recordings will still be available on the SD card.

The only potential gripe I have is, one of the manufacturers of another brand of camera have now stopped the free cloud storage of recent activity. Sure, they’ve had an option for years for users to upgrade to 30 days paid-for subscription to their cloud-based service. But that is ceasing. So the only peace of mind now with their cams is that should an incident occur where you need footage, you’ll need to get up that ladder again to extract it from the micro SD card. Not a deal breaker but as Ronnie Barker would have said in Episode 1 of Porridge, “What with these feet?”.

All in all this camera has it all. Fab resolution, motion detection for both the floodlights and the cam itself, high resolution night and day colour recordings, solar charging, app integration and sensible alerts. I’ll keep an eye on the latter and if it is just marketing B***hit will update this review.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersVery smart looking device, and a welcome upgrade from the standard shape and size camera available. I have previously purchased iegeek cameras and wanted to upgrade the 2k security camera I already have. The added security light was a must and it has surprised me how bright it is.

Initial thoughts were of a better quality packaging and delivery sample than the cheaper cameras i have received from Iegeek. We’ll packaged and presented.
Similar size to the other bullet camera just with additional panels either side. See photos.

Was able to easily switch out the camera with previous fittings. So actually took about 2 mins to fit. Setting up the camera was quick an easy. Only frustrating thing is the new iegeek app (Iegeek cam) this is the third one i have for the additional cameras I own. I’ve tried to move my older cameras to it and find it’s not worked. So would expect an backwards upgrade in the future. Hopwfully

Setting up the security camera and specific areas is very precise as seen in the picture with grids. Found it very easy to setup and secure recording plans etc.

The WiFi home hub is about 20m away and get a good signal strength of 68% average so don’t see any issues with connection happening.

Picture quality is great in both night vision and with the security light. 2 picture for comparison have been added. I have inspected the images and even with blown up images on a pc, they are extremely clear with a close proximity.

My final comment regarding the alarm is the siren. Have activated and checked it, I was surprised at how loud it was. Nowhere near that of a house alarm, but for an external building away from main house, I was happy it was still heard (mainly purchased for late night security) this through triple glazed windows. Althought I wouldn’t expect it to be extremely loud and heard over a TV. However the app on my phone triggers and allows me to see and hear what is there.

I have tried to be honest with my review, and actually try to look for reasons not to buy iegeek products. With many bigger suppliers having their own versions and discounted prices I’m waiting for iegeek to make a bad product. Then I’d have to move into the monopoly by the bigger companies, as friends always imply their more well known products arnt cheap imports. However a big score for the little man! Not disappointed at all with my upgrade and its always helped with the always present discount vouchers that amazon apply.

Might purchase another for the front of house. 🙂

Fantastic upgrade to standard security camera

Ordered this wireless camera as I didn’t want to run cables in my rented property. It was easy to install and setup via the app. Took a few minutes. The recording is on when motion is detected without the battery getting fully discharged throughout the day which is exactly what I wanted. The motion detection feature is accurate without any false alarms. The led flash light also acts as a security light. Highly recommended

Having bought several iegeek cameras previously, this is my favourite yet. I needed solar charging and WiFi due to where this was going to be mounted. Initial thoughts out of the box are that its a great size and lightweight. And……..the best packaging yet. Iegeek packaging is getting better and better, see my photos.

The day and night quality is excellent, and charging via the include solar panel is simple and works well thus far. The size and shape is good and makes it not-too-obvious to passers-by, and the field of view is really good.

Overall I’m very impressed so far.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe camera arrived well packed unlike the previous one that I had bought from a different seller, therefore, no issues with unpacking (the previous one arrived damaged and so I had to return it and choose a different seller and I am happy with this choice).

Installation- it is a comprehensive kit that doesn’t really need instructions as it is very intuitive to mount and use, however, it does come with a manual. You can point the camera to any direction you want, which is very nice comparing to other, cheaper cameras on the market. The camera can be moved horizontally, vertically; however you like.

Next, assemble the solar panel ensuring it’s pointing upwards to the southern sky or as far south as possible. The solar panel is a game changer for me, and I would not consider a camera without it. If you prefer the camera to work on the battery only, I cannot see any issues here, as after a few days of testing and using it with the battery only, the battery was at just below 90% level. Good stuff.

I have downloaded the IeGeek Cam app for this camera and it’s been very straightforward to use. I played with the options on the app and tested its capabilities. I really like the search and playback feature, which can be used while still recording. The picture quality on my phone is really good during the day and at night, images are clear and bright, which means that the LED brightness of the camera works as it should supposed to and the video resolution is excellent.

The camera picks every movement and lights up my driveway, I have not noticed any false alarms with its motion detection. A great advantage of this floodlight is that you can select an area the camera should monitor and ignore the rest. I used to receive hundred of false alarms with my previous camera, which drove me mad.

Overall, it is a great and reliable camera which I believe will last harsh and rainy UK weather. In my experience, ieGeek provide fabulous customer service (I contacted them with a few prior to purchase questions and they responded immediately).

Excellent video resolution and picture quality

This is a fantastic product! I was feeling doubtful at first about the product being not wired (I bought many iegeek floodlight cameras already, but all wired one). I thought, how can a solar-powered product rival a wired one? After testing it for days, I found that the solar-powered nature doesn’t affect its performance, what a pleasant surprise! The performance is on par with all the wired floodlight camera that I bought, and moreover, doesn’t cost me electricity to run it. It is very green! Here, I will provide some feedbacks about the product under several categories:

Night vision: I have provided some picture for references. There are day vision and night vision (see pictures). I think the visibility is good enough for night vision, although you can’t really see objects too far away (e.g., wooden fence). But if a motion is detected (see the cat triggered the sensor in the video uploaded), the floodlight will be turned on, and the visibility will be enhanced greatly. Furthermore, the camera will record everything for 1 minute, stored in SD card or cloud, for us to go through it again whenever and wherever we want. Amazing!

Field of vision: From the picture attached, the field of vision is as advertised. Although visibility will be reduced slightly for night vision. But that is normal.

Charging & battery: It is like it will never run out of battery. By installing the camera & solar panel on a south facing wall, it is always guaranteed that it will be charged to max.

Motion detection: You can set it to be high, medium, or low. It is very sensitive. Even at medium, it will detect and record even rain or gust of wind. Often, when I go through the recording again (will record 1minute when camera detect something), I only see rain or gust of wind. But the good thing is that floodlight will not be triggered when it detects rain or gust of wind. Only human (or animal) will trigger the floodlight.

Floodlight light: The light is reasonably bright given a solar-powered product. You can compare the attached night vision picture and the video, which the floodlight is on when the cat triggered the motion sensor. Good enough, you don’t need it to be super bright because it will cost you more power & money.

Mounting, installing & apps: Easy to install and easy to use. After installing them, you can also load all the cameras in the same page while using the apps.

Connection: I am not sure if I have mounted my camera too far away from my router, because it will lose the connection or offline once awhile. I doubt if it has anything to do with the solar power nature? This is up to the community to test and share about the connection.

    5 star!

IEgeek have done an amazing job with this camera but there are a few negatives that may make it a hard choice
The quick start says to plug it in for a little while before use but I left it chargibg for a few hours before I set it up.
    Pros:
The set up is super easy thanks to the iegeek app and the QR code on the camera
The battery is massive so once combined with the solar panel shouldn’t have any problems being a stress free, non mains run camera
The image and video quality is great
The build quality of the camera is amazing and it feels like a premium product
The app has a great tool that helps you test if your planned mounting point has good signal on the WiFi
It appears that one of the big problems that iegeek had with unencrypted connections has been removed; it states that it’s making an encrypted connection.
The flood light fills the space with an amazing amount of light

    The negative points:
The power button is very stuff to press
The SD card port is under the rubber waterproofing and I kept popping the card out when trying to get the seal on it

Other than those initial problems I enjoyed the camera and am keen to get it mounted and get used to the iegeek app.
I would like to see some of the negative points resolved in future iterations (specifically those around the solar panel connection and waterproofing) and if they solve those I would buy it again!

A well tuned piece of ki

I’m glad I bought this product. The overall quality is good. Some cameras from China are very bad but not this one. It’s easy to set up thanks to the clear instruction. I like the fact I don’t have to plug it as outside it’s hard (I don’t have any plug). The solar power (that goes to a battery) is so convenient. The quality of image the night is more than descent. I can clearly see my dog. So if someone tries to break in, I’ll be able to see them. The only thing I’m a bit disappointed about is the alarm volume. It’s around 80 db. I wish it was at least 100 db. But anyway 80 db is loud enough to scare bad people away while not disturbing my neighbors.

    I feel more secure

I got this ccvt/floodlight for my driveway. For the dogs. . I can see what there up to and at night the sensor picks them up and lights up the driveway. It don’t need connecting to the mains power supply as it has its own solar panel. Which got its own swivel base to direct it towards the sun. Easy to set up took 5mins total. Very bright led light unit and crystal clear cctv images. All can be watched via the app. Uses a mini sd card to record video. Seems very solid and good quality. Should last the harsh weather I get in My part of the country. Great buy.

This camera truly exceeded my expectations. To be honest I didn’t know what to expect from a camera like this. Battery operated stuff are not always the best. Here it comes with the solar panel which changes everything. The first week of my test was purely on the battery though to see how it goes. And it went pretty well! I was testing the SD/HD quality, the motion alarm, storage and the floodlight itself. But first things first.

Motion detection. One of the best so far! There is nothing worse than false alarms! Here no false alarms so far! Not a single one. Also it reacts only on a humanoid shape (you can change it in the settings) so even more reliable alarms. Additionally you can select the area the camera should monitor and ignore the rest. Pretty useful if your area partly covers the public footpath for example.

Floodlight light. Bright enough even when mounted on the first floor position. It’s great that you can disable/enable the light on movement detection.

Mounting. Very easy to mount, you can point the camera to almost any direction you want. You may thing that’s obvious. But believe me, I owned a few cameras where you could move it only vertically or horizontally, but not both orientation at the same time!! Here it’s how it suppose to be.

App. You can use the IeGeek Cam app or CloudEdge. Both are almost identical and they work the same way. I haven’t discovered any problems with those apps, they are intuitive and really straight forward to use.

Battery. After a week of testing, playing with it, enabling/disabling some of the options, etc the battery was almost at 80%. This is a great result as in normal circumstances you’ll get more than that. If you then connect the solar panel, you’ll never need to charge it again (unless you live in a very dark place on earth, like Mordor 😉 ).

Conclusion: A very reliable camera with the floodlight and the solar panel. I can recommend it to anyone who is looking for a stable cctv with the intuitive and simple app.

It’s one of the best cameras I have used so far!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe item arrived in a neat box and unpacked nicely with all I needed to power, charge and install this CCTV floodlight. I already have another ieGeek product so used the same app to add this product and was able to do so in less than 30 seconds once the red light began flashing. It’s astonishing as normally the wifi pairing takes several attempts. I recall the same experience with the other ieGeek product too.

Once setup, I was able to feel my way around the options very quickly and explored and tested its rich capabilities pretty fast. The 2K camera is just amazing and with wifi level of 72% there is no lag or skipped frames. The search and playback feature using the Micro SD card is a real strong point of this product – it does so flawlessly whilst still recording. As a floodlight, you cannot fault the LED brightness and lamp range. Of course, being the in-built design, you will be limited for a wide or multi-angle range, but overall the lamp field-of-view is fairly wide for regular floodlight use, e.g. to protect driveway, entrances, side gates, etc.

I am yet to mount the floodlight as am still testing the battery and solar panel for optimal positioning. Overall, I am pleased with this item and would highly recommend it. If you are looking for one camera to do an awful lot for a tidy price, especially if you have a crime problem in your area, this is a great package which is both well featured, designed and built. Another quality product from ieGeek.

Excellent package for the ultimate floodligh
