    The pedals on my bike were too stiff to remove with a standard spanner. This made the job easy. Sturdy construction at a sensible price. Long enough to exert sufficient torque.

    Option 1 – waste time with a short spanner key and a hammer
    Option 2 – buy this one

    Seriously, this is a sturdy piece of kit and does the job with little effort. Pedals can be rather hard to remove if they have been there for a while since they are made to tighten while pedalling. Recommendation, grease the thread before you fit them back. Will be even easier next time.

    Used this spanner a few times to undo overtightened pedals. It’s just the tool for the job, good engagement and seems sturdy. I’ve not needed to use an extension bar on it which is nice, so can’t say how it stands up to really piling on the torque.

    Before buying this, I tried to use a flimsy wrench for half an hour and I was not able to remove the rusty pedals. With this, it took me like 20 seconds. I also used it for the tire nuts and it was very easy to tighten/untighten them, previously, again with a flimsy wrench, I stripped one of the bolts…
