We got this light to attach to my sons powerchair, as he likes to transverse the roads at night and we looked high and low for a very brite bike light, this charges easily, and the battery life is long. you can use this and know you will be seen.

I bought this because the traffic on our road just gets a little crazier every year, and I want to ensure that I am seen by car and truck drivers on the road. When the light arrived, it did have some charge. But I decided to plug it in to ensure it was fully charged. It was pretty quick, though I can’t tell you exactly how long it took – I know it was only a small portion of the afternoon. The light is super easy to attach to the seat post of my bike, and can be just as easily removed when recharging is needed. I tried all of the settings – high, low, flashing, pulsing and then every variation in between, and settled on a lower brightness with a solid (non flashing) beam of light. I’ve read that is the best way to be readily visible to drivers. But I have seen other people use a variety of other settings on their rear lights. I can’t tell you with certainty which one will be your preference, I just took the advice of a bicyclist who wrote something about it online. Anyway, I took my bike for a spin, and felt very reassured to have the rear light on in addition to my front headlamp. I was able to ride later into dusk without much concern other than to maintain general safety. Of course, it has snowed and sleeted in the days following the receipt of my new rear bike light. And I have not ridden again since. But the light is still holding a good charge, and will be ready if/when I am. There are warnings in the instructions to NOT use the light in wet weather conditions, which might be difficult at times, and I’m not sure how it will hold up to splashing through puddles or spray from cars. But if I experience any issues like that or otherwise, I will update my review. But, so far so good!

This is an excellent USB rechargeable bike light with good build quality and high value. The light is very bright and most likely meets the 100 lumen rating. It comes with a variety of mounting hardware and should fit most applications. I like how it has 6 different light settings (low on, medium on, high on, low flashing, high “breathing “, high flashing) and they all are quite visible from a distance. The best feature is that the LEDs are situated so that they are visible from each side, as well as the back. This provides great visibility. The runtime on the “breathing” setting is a solid 5 hours , but best of all, there are no strange button presses to get it working. One long press for on/off, and a short press to cycle between settings. Easy to use and top pick for value.

When our grandchildren ride around on their bikes, playing in the almost-but-not-quite dark (MOST of the days are like that here in the northern hemisphere during winter!), I have noticed how INVISIBLE they are to people driving because the drivers’ eyes have become accustomed to the headlight lighting. When someone is in the road in the dusky twilight, they literally become invisible to those drivers!

This little bike light helps to solve that. It is attached by a very simple and efficient clamp mechanism, so even though it is advertised as a tail light, it really can be easily clamped anywhere on the bike or scooter. This is very versatile and ups its functionality exponentially. It is not JUST a bike light, either. It could be placed on a scooter, a wagon— anything the clamp will fit onto. (Fits bars up to 45 mm) ANYwhere, oriented in any direction or angle.

It flashes with a few differing options and the light has a choice of varying degrees of brightness (low, medium, high, or several flashing patterns PLUS a “day bright flash” option.

It is rechargeable, so no worries about inserting batteries. The beauty of this product is that you just leave the clamp in place on your bike and remove the light, bring it inside to your USB charging cable. When it is done charging it just snaps back into place. This is a HUGE convenience!

GREAT product: well thought out and designed.

With the clock change it is particularly important if you want to continue riding your bike to not skimp on a good quality rear light. If the day has been wet and the sun is low, or you are riding from work in rush hour traffic being visible is of vital importance to safety. Even if you are it up it is possible to vanish amongst the myriad of other competing lights vying for attention. Many rear lights are a mere 50 lumens — here’s one that reaches 100 lumens meaning it stands out amongst the competition. The Apace Vision LumeBeam 100 Lumens Bike Tail Light offered for review under the Amazon Vine programme is charged via a provided USB-c cable, and the clear see-through design is a real plus because it can clearly be seen from all angles. This is a safety feature I particularly like.

It features 64 LED’s which is the maximum usage dependant upon which of the six patterns you choose, with low, medium and high steady beam (running 7, 5 and 3 hours respectively); and three flashing modes described as Slow Flash, BritePulse and DayBright Flash (running 12, 6 and 18 hours respectively). That daylight running feature is something I use every journey in the light with other rear lights as I like to attract attention with both lights and day-glo clothing. This is a big plus on a busy road, and is particularly effective if partaking in a time trial under CTT regulations where lights are compulsory, with a light that can be seen from as much as 500 feet away.

The light is IPX6 rated – can resist high pressures of water but can’t be submerged in water. This suggests if you are caught in an unexpected heavy deluge there might be some water ingress, it’s IPX7 you need for totally waterproof. I always like to carry two rear lights anyway just in case as backup as the potential for failure in the dark is something to be guarded against, and this is the only reason for deducting a star.

The packaging is LDPE wrapped cardboard, so the majority will simply recycle at the kerbside. The box carries the following symbols:

    * The EU’s “CE” mark confirming conformity with many standards such as the Low Voltage Directive, the Energy Related Products Directive and the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive amongst others;
    * The standard recycle mark, although this relates to the packaging given the final symbol is:
    * The crossed out wheelie bin symbol, indicating that this product should be disposed of correctly at a recycling site and not put in the normal household waste when at the end of its life.

The light charges via a supplied USB to USB-C cable, which I find a great feature as it saves the waste of batteries via a socket hidden behind a rubberised plug to deflect water. There’s an on/off button to save power when you don’t want to use the light and when charging that button glows red, turning to green when fully charged. It’s possible to fit either vertically or horizontally to preference or depending on how much space you have available on your seat post, mounting by a simple rubberised band that fits and unfits in a trice — no tools needed. It’s neat too at 8.1 x 5.99 x 3.2 cm; weighing just 68 grams. At just 17.97 I think it offers very good value for money and a good level of safety thanks to that lumen output. An ideal light for riding in the dark.

This light can be very bright, and let the car drivers see you, at least the ones paying attention. The different light effects let you tailor the light to the conditions. Day or night, constant or flashing. It seems well made, easy to charge, and mounts to the seat post. I like it.

This is a great very bright light as you can see with the video. I actually gave this to my mum is has gone cycle crazy and she said she much prefers it over the one I purchased her 2 months ago for her birthday.
It fits to the seat post very simply with a little rubber/silicone band. It can be charged via the supplied usb cable, you have a small button to turn on this will always turn on on the setting you last used.
The battery life seems to be lasting well and she has reported it lasted a few long rides without a charge.
This is an excellent light that could help save a life. I feel much better knowing my mum is a lot safer with such a bright light on the roads.
I hope this review has helped you with your purchase it gets a big thumbs up from me!

This 100-lumens bicycle tail light from LumeBeam is both well-made and practical in its function. It provides a highly visible, bright light that might just make the difference between being seen and not. I cycle daily and tour often where I ride in all weather conditions and often cycle late at night or in the early hours so I rely on good quality lighting that lasts the distance as this does. The battery life is strong and I am more than happy with the performance of this light overall so I’m more than happy to recommend it.

Far better than similar priced bike lights. Has extra stretch bands in 3 different sizes for different mounting options. Rechargeable with micro cable provided. Switch in excellent position for ease of use. Very, very bright and easy to change brightness and flashing modes.

You get useful brightness settings and several flashing modes typical of bike lights. Cycle through these with the single top mounted button. Really like how compact and easy to use this light is. The mounting plate into which the light slides and locks keeps the light itself secure. It can be a difficult to remove light from mounting bracket to recharge so I just take the fixture off the bike, then remount. No big issue.

I haven’t found a better light for the price. Highly recommended.

This ApaceVision bike taillight is a must have for cyclists. It simply attaches to a bike seat stem, via the included fixing and rubber strap, and can be fixed either vertically or horizontally. Pressing the on button (which comfortingly lights up green) cycles through 6 different light patterns – 3 levels of brightness, 2 different flashing modes and a nice subtle slow get brighter then dim setting – the flashing ones are the most obvious to drivers IMHO, which is most important. Charging is via a USB-B supplied cable into the light (which has a little rubber seal to stop water ingress. Just very pleased with this bike light!

I put this light on my electric bike and I love it. The design of the light is very fancy and looks sleek on my electric bike. It looks kind of futuristic in my personal opinion. What I also love about this light is that it is very, very bright. I have several other red bike lights that are similar sized, but this is far much brighter than those lights. This one alone can make your bike very visible at night. When I put this on in night, it looks very cool because it is very bright and its design is so nice. If you want your bike to look badass, I highly recommend this light.

This is a good bright rear cycle light with various flashing and static options. It’s quite bright even on the dimmest setting and the battery lasts well, with a quoted seven hour run time on static, which can be extended significantly if set to flash. I haven’t tried a duration test but after a ride of a couple of hours on the brightest setting it was still working.

The mounting is simple, a rubber band, which has the upside of being easily removed and refitted, and the downside of being easily stolen by an opportunist. I often fix these with cable ties, but that makes them harder to charge, so for this light it will be a case of remembering to remove it and tucking it away when locking my cycle in public.

At 18 the price is about right for a bright rear light. Although it is possible to get a pair for front and rear for the same money, they are often more limited in times of brightness or battery size.

Bright, with a simple rubber mounting

Decent price for a very capable light. Bright and lots of modes to choose from, it lasts for hours and really gets noticed, even during the day.

Simple rubber strap mount for horizontal or vertical bars up to around 60mm diameter.

Charges pretty quickly, and would easily last a commute a day, charging at night or during the day.

Very bright with several brightness and flashing modes. Has a memory of the mode you left it in so you can go straight back which is nice.

You can mount it vertically or horizontal. Very bright. Not sure about battery life yet. Only negative is the charge port is micro USB, most things are USB type C these days. Why that matters is cord management. Being able to charge all your devices with 1 type of cable or even wireless can help keep your charge cords in order.

This is a good rear bike light for the 17.97 price at the time of review. I always prefer an oblong light over a round one as it looks better and is more visible, in my opinion.

This has a simple mounting system, using thick rubber bands to strap it to the saddle or downpost. I’ve found this method to be reliable for all previous lights I’ve used.

100 lumens is more than enough for a rear light. You don’t need to illuminate an area, just be visible. The battery should last a reasonable time, although I always try to charge my batteries after each risde. Charging is simple, by the way, by using the included usb cable. There’s also a clear illuminated power button on this.

Over all, this is a good rear light. Often, you get cheap basic rear lights included with front ones, so it’s good to be able to buy a decent rear light separately.

I can certainly give this a big recommendation. As the evenings are now quite dark, you need some decent lights on your bike and this ticks all the boxes for me.

By far one of the best rear lights I have ever had. It is super powerful and super compact. Lasts for many hours even in the highest setting. I use mine mostly on low setting and it’s still plenty bright enough even for daytime riding. It has 6 different illumination options. Low, medium, high and 3 different flashing options. The bracket and bands it come with should be enough to fit most if not all bikes. The bracket itself is good quality with plenty of up and down adjustment to get it in the perfect place. It locks into the bracket with a little lever so is solidly planted on that bike once clipped in. Is usbc rechargeable and takes a couple hours to fully charge. Has lasted me a week so far and still showing over half battery remaining. Overall great value and super brigh

I like this little rear light a lot. It’s versatile and when on ‘full’ is Impressively bright.

    The charging arrangement is good.

The mounting is made so that the lamp itself can be removed without disturbing the mounting. This is quick and convenient. I like this particularly. It’s important that the light can be removed each time the bike is parked. Admittedly the mounting itself could be stolen but alone it’s a whole lot less attractive. That the mounting hasn’t been moved speeds refitting.

The mechanism of the join between lamp unit and mounting is very similar in principal to a very well known brand of cycle light that I have a number of. They are not compatible! This brand uses a much smaller fitting. Not a problem but it was of interest to me.

I’d say that this is a good piece of kit that helps keep the rider safe but doesn’t waste time with ‘toy’ gimmicks. I’d gladly put this on a dependent child’s bike or my own.

Really impressed with this rear cycle light from ApaceVision! Not sure what I was expecting but when I opened the box I’m pretty sure I made some ooh and ahh noises when I took it out, (sad I know) but I like my cycle stuff. Really good build and design, it’s a good size as well. Comes with a quick release bracket when you need to take the light off for charging. The bracket is held in place by rubber type fixing bands (most cycle lights are these days), and they give you lots of options of where to fix your lights on your bike as well as having it horizontal or vertical. It has a really good choice of lighting modes from solid to pulsing and a daylight flash, all the modes are very bright. Comes with a micro usb charging cable (wish it was type C) and easy to follow instructions. A really impressive cycle light!

Very good quality rear cycle light, with a good choice of modes including daylight.

This light attaches to your seat post and can be vertical or horizontal. I prefer the former as having rear lights horizontal means they contact my legs when pedalling. The light can be set to three different constant brightness levels or four intermittent flashing modes. At full brightness it really shines well and is perfect for daytime use but this does limit battery life somewhat. I tend to use a flashing mode at the moment as, although the evenings are drawing in, it’s not fully dark when I ride. After daylight saving kicks in, I tend to use constant mode at a mid setting as a brightly flashing light at night can confuse drivers. The light recharges via the provided USB-to-micro USB cable from whatever power source you have to hand.

Overall a great little rear light that packs a punch and is good value.

I really like this light, it’s super bright. One thing I really liked is that comes with 3 different mounting bands, I usually find the fastening breaks before the light and sometimes it’s difficult to find replacement, this one comes with 3 on different sizes.
One thing I don’t like is that it charges with a micro USB cable and now most of my gadgets come with USB C so it’s one more cable to carry around, it does take a while to charge… I’m not sure how much for a full charge because I charged it for 2 hours and I had to go… In the future I’ll charge overnight.
At the moment of reviewing this light it’s over 17, I think a bit pricey for a single back light but it’s very bright and looks well made, so it’s probably worth the price.
I think I like it enough to buy it again if I loose it or gets damage or stolen.

First things first, this little bike light will definitely help you be seen in low light or even daytime, the light given off by this in the brighter settings is very powerful for the size and the flashing/pulsing modes are great attention getters, if people don’t see you with this fitted they should really pay more attention!

The unit itself feels well made from quality materials and definitely looks like it’s designed to be weatherproof having an almost single piece polycarbonate shell with almost no apparent joins or seams visible. It locks very securely into the mounting bracket, almost too securely being difficult to remove but this just adds to its ability to stay put once fitted. The adjustable silicone band easily wraps around most sizes of seat post and provides a secure attachment, the plastic mounting bracket has a small amount of adjustment for angling the light in the desired direction using a ratchet type adjuster built into the mount.

The built in battery pack seems to do a decent job of keeping things powered for a good amount of time between 3 hours on the highest setting and 18 hours on the flashing mode. The power button doubles as a charge indicator letting you know how much is left and while on charge lets you know when it’s fully topped up, a neat little feature.

The various lighting modes provide a good few options including low/medium/high permanent on settings and 3 different flash/pulse settings with the helpful memory function allowing you to turn it off and back on again later to the last setting without having to cycle through them everytime you power it up, well designed electronics and more user friendly than some others.

Overall this seems to be a well thought out and well made little bike light that should provide many hours of service over its lifetime. The only thing that would of made this product even better, and it’s in no way a criticism, would of been a seperate clip for attachment to a backpack/belt as a lot of cyclists like to mount rear lights higher up than their seat posts, maybe something for the upgraded version, still a great little light either way.

    Very bright, very solid

This is a decent looking rear light that is quite bright and has the usual set of flashing modes, charges using a USB cable and should last up to 18hours depending on mode, the button on the side lights green when fully charged and blinks red when it needs recharging.
The negatives for me is the same negative I have with all these rear lights, they are designed to be fixed to a seat post or in some cases a rear stay, but with me, and this probably goes with quite a few other cyclist’s, I have a saddle pack so fixing it to the seat post is not possible and there are also a few factors that prevent me from fixing this kind of light to the the rear frame stays, my saddle pack does have a loop but just fitting this through the loop alone it tends to point down and move about, so I had to use a good old cable tie to fix the long end of the rubber strap high up on the pack which pulls it up and keeps it more firm.

I am a huge fan of this rear light! I do a decent amount of night riding on city streets, so having something sturdy like this that’s super bright is awesome. I particularly like the mode where the light’s brightness fades in an out, as it’s noticeable without being distracting to folks behind me.

My only recommendation is that you figure out whether you want it vertically or horizontally aligned first before connecting the light to the mount. Although you can switch between the two, it takes a little bit of force and honestly I was worried I was going to snap off the tab that holds it in place. That being said, because it’s harder to slide off, I’m not at all worried about it slipping during a ride like other lights I’ve had.

    Amazing rear light!
