Really high end quality board. The board is not 12 inches it’s more like an 9 1/3 but that’s still good for me. Works well charges fas
This thing is super fun and well built. I just turned 40, skated and snowboarded my whole life. This board is a blast! Very impressed with the build quality and the fit and finish. If you’re on the fence and need some excitement in your life, buy it. Your neighbors will look at toy funny but who cares
Better than the evovle board I had, small but fast!
+ The most informative remote controller ever. The detailed and well lit display shows mileage, speed, direction
+ Controls are standard: power, brake, direction change, max speed
+ Brake is powerful and keeps board still for boarding
+ Top speed is very fast
+ Small size is easy to carry but adds challenges
+ Board has quick battery level 2 digit percentage preview
+ Simple 1 sheet manual that covers essential information
+ Relatively powerful 42v 3A 140w charger adds 10 miles of range per hour of charging
+ Skateboard charge port is rubber door sealed. Includes usb port to double as power bank. If the fancy remote runs out of battery mid trip, you can take a brake and recharge the remote with the skateboard
– The remote charges by Micro USB. The included micro usb cable was defective and could not charge the remote controller, my own micro usb cable worked
– The remote micro usb charge door is completely exposed, you really dont want to drop it in a puddle. Devices like these are not supposed to be operated in wet environments such as rain.
If you know how to skate then this board is beginner friendly but if you don’t well its gonna be a struggle. Has 4 speed modes. While trying to practice I deicide to sit on the board and even on the 2nd speed mode I was zooming.
Works like a regular skateboard even if the skate is turned off or out of charge.
Don’t forget to wear a helmet.
First thing you need to do is adjust or tighten your truck bolts to avoid wobbly performance right out the gate. Other than that you’re good to go and I’m assuming you’re aware of the safety precautions you need to consider just like with riding a normal skateboard. Wear your pads and helmet.
The torque on this thing is insane. The amount of lift off you get from stopped was surprising to me, so for your first time, brace yourself forward a little to prepare for that initial thrust. The initial experience was a bit jerky because the incremental adjustments you can make to the speed via the remote is really sensitive. This is also true of the reverse — take your time to slow down or at least prepare for the suddenness of the brake.
It’s been a few weeks of riding this and the back end is starting to get roughened up. I bought a deck guard for it on amazon. Search for “deck guard” or “edge protector” to prolong the life of your board.
I’m 175lbs and the meepo managed to hit ~22mph top. A bit short of the rated top speed but of your mileage may vary depending on your body weight.
Highly recommended!
