Well packaged and build quality is great.
Worked straight out the box. Rear light unit can be powered on by a switch on the side of the light or by pressing the middle button on the remote control.
Indicators work well and feature a strobe moving to the side accompanied by a flash on that side.
Rear light is bright and has several modes, although the manual doesn’t specify what they are. The indicators self cancel after a minute or can be cancelled by pressing the same side button again.
Work well and the rear light is rechargeable with the supplied usb cable.
Two different fittings for mounting the rear light and an elastic/rubber fitting for the remote, all are good quality.
Reasonably priced, would be nice if it was paired with a headlight too.

    Bright and flashy.

These lights are great and ideal for riding in the dark or in poor weather. They are bright so you can be seen, the lasers is a nice touch but in all honesty I don’t think drivers would be able to see unless they are really looking. Easy to assemble and set up. Only thing that’s missing is a buzzer/horn. Other than that it’s perfect.

I think this light is fine as a flashing / rear light which is visible to following traffic from hundreds of yards in the dark on a straight road. I found the turn indicators very difficult to use when I am wearing gloves. I had to keep checking if the indicators were off/on, and I found this too much of a distraction. Might have been better with a toggle switch operating the turn lights.

I was attracted to this light primarily die to its design and shape. It’s a good looking light and is easy to fit to the seat post for example.

Charging was easy – not sure exactly how long it took but I did it overnight and it was fully charged by the morning. The functions include steady lights, flashing, laser lines and indicating.

There is a little remote included for indicating, simply press the left or right buttons and it activates a motion of lights towards the direction of intended travel. I’ve been using it in conjunction with hand signalling rather than instead.

There is a auto brake function but not been able to test specifically as you’d need someone behind to see if working. I assume it must work on some sort of motion sensor – ok if sudden change of speed but probably a bit of a gimmick rather than useful.

Same with the laser lines, these mark a safe zone around the bike but are hard to see unless close up (ironically) or at night.

You can also use the light in flashing mode only – this preserves the battery the most but should be used in conjunction with a still rear light as there are times that it will not be on at all mid flash.

This is a nice bright rear light that has a nice modern stylish look. I tried to photograph it lit up but the led were interfering and it only looked half illuminated. In the box you get the light itself the remote for the handle bars, all the fixings and a charger cable.
The light has several functions, it can be always on, or flashing which conserves the battery. It can also project laser lines on the road which I dare say is to tell cars they are too close but I doubt they would see it or that many would use the feature anyway.
The light also has indicators which are triggered via the remote button, these are amber lights on each side very much like a car though in practise the main red light pretty much drowns them out, however the red light strobes to the direction you are indicating Knightrider style so following vehicles should get the idea.
Removal for charging is easy enough and the battery life is decent. This is a great light but could do without the laser lane function.

Nice bright back light with remote switch and good battery life

Only able to upload 1 video!
This is a great product for the price..
    Love its features
The Only downside is you need to recharge fully overnight and you only get around 3-4 days before you need to charge again…
And that be aware it dosent fit under all seats as.they show you in video..we had to use the bracket that was provided, still didnt cause any issues tho as you can move the bracket up and down depending on length of your seat stem

With the days going darker quicker here in the United Kingdom I needed a decent light for my bike for when I am going to and coming back from the gym and this one has exceeded expectations. Not only is it a good light but it has indicators and hazard lights and also has a laser that points to the floor to let drivers know a good distance to pass me by on when I’m on the road. All of which are controlled by a remote that is on my handlebars.

The last thing I have to say about it may go over the heads of the younger people on here but the light is like kits light in the knight rider which personally I think is a really nice feature.

    Another pass for me.

    Amazing little piece of kit.

Very bright as it should in order to be visible on night. Innovative idea to be safe on the road. I like it very much, the wireless communications is very good. Thank you

    Amazing product for cycling

I actually really like this product. It comes with fixings. Quality of this set is very good in my opinion. The small controller has already inserted cell battery and it works instantly. The bigger tool, the light, is rechargeable and it works really well. It is very responsive to the controller and works without any fault. I like the laser which is like a barrier. It’s called ground light alert, safety line to keep safe distance from the bike user when gets dark.
Having this kit installed on the bike I will feel more safe and the other road users will clearly know which direction I will turn and I also will be more visible after dusk.
    Can recommend it.

    Useful tool

This bike light is pretty awesome in that it has four main features as a standard bike light it does a good job of making you visible during night time rides. When you look deeper into this though, you find a few features that are real good to haves.

Turn signals – easy to control with the included remote. Simply press left/right on the remote and it will turn on the corresponding signal. The red light also moves in the direction of the signal.

Auto brake light I haven’t quite figured this one out fully yet but it does work. When braking, the rear light flashes/blinks the signals.

Laser lane lights – the light has a laser at either side which projects a line around 50cm away from the bike. It’s more of a gimmick as it’s not very visible unless you’re close but it’s a nice to have.

Hazard lights – I guess they provide a little more visibility when flashing. Definitely easy to notice as they are quite bright.

Overall I’m liking this rear bike light but I’ve only managed to get around 5 hours use out of a full charge. I have an e-bike so I would happily take the extra weight for a larger battery capacity.

I can recommend this for the vast majority of cyclists, it’s a good light and nice to have turn signals there available for you to use.

Generally satisfied with the item although I was unable to switch on the light from the remote without first switching it on from the light itself which defeats the objective of a remote control surely. Generally speaking the remote has a decent indication of activity as you select options. For example, when an indicator is selected, the remote flashes then extinguishes indicating that the indicator light is now off. However, I found that despite the indication on the remote, it does not in fact switch the indicator off so you have to reset it manually. Since there is no way for the rider to confirm the status of the light without getting off the bike, this again defeats the objective of the remote. As a result, I no longer use the indicators. I do however use the lazer guides and the light selections work fine from the remote although again there is no indication on the remote on what you have selected other than knowing the ‘count’ to your intended selection from the initial state. But the most annoying complaint is the time the light takes to recharge. I ride daily for about an hour and recharge the light for the next ride. However, recently I missed a charge and it took around 5 hours to a full charge. This is very unusual and feel that I might be frying the battery!

I got this to test out on my sons electric scooter because it says it can go on scooters or skateboards but I can’t figure out how it would attach other than putting it at the front.

I’m a bike though this is fantastic and the light is very bright even in daylight.

The space sensors are a fantastic idea and very prominent. The little control is easy to use but if you have long nails or acrylics your going to struggle pressing the buttons as it’s small.

Over all a very good device but o do wish the control pad was bigger.

Can be fitted to pole or connect to back of seat and both adapters are in the box. It’s

This is great but description not accurate

This is a great light for a bike. As you can see from the video it is very bright. The control is very easy to use, just press the coresponding indicator button to make it flash in that direction. Then the same to operate the hazard lights. The control unit has an LED behind the button which flashes when it is operating the left or right function, but when you press it again to turn that signal off the LED still flashes, which makes you think it is still on, it flashes at a slower rate than when it is on, but I just find this a little distracting, if the signal is off then so should the LED be. Its simple to charge and doesn’t take too long.
The clip for the light is a bit fiddly to get to get in place because there are rubber strips to use to stop is sliding on the seat post, however it would be nice if these were incorporated into the clamp. The clamp also looks and feels like the cheapest part of this light which is quite big and heavy for a LED light. The retaining clip to remove the light is also a let down and again needs to be improved, its a struggle to get the light on and off.
Overall a good product which would get 5 stars if the seat clip was improved.

    Works well

Has fixings for the bike included in the box.
The rear light is very bright.
Reminiscent of a motorcycle set up with indicators
    Multifunctional operation.
Has turn signals and hazard light options.
Has a tiny power switch on the lamp and separate controller.
There is a daylight sensor to save charge. Which is a great idea.
    USB rechargeable.
Has ground laser functions. Very bright.
I cannot find a way of not having the rear tail lamp without orange American style side markers working all at once?

I’m a fan of Meilan cycling products, have a few different lights, etc and a cycling computer, which has always been reliable. I jumped at the chance, therefore, to review this smart rear cycle light from Meilan.

The first thing to point out is the excellent build quality. It’s a sturdy and well made product, as expected from Meilan. There are also 2 different mounting options; under the saddle or on the seat post, with a couple of different rubber pads included for different thickness of seat post. The remote control also fits nicely on the handlebars with rubber bands.

Operation of this is also good. There are 4 buttons. The top one controls the LED lights on the sides, which illuminate a red line on the ground. The aim is for cars to see where they need to keep clear, althoug realistically how well this works in practice is debatable.

The middle button doubles up as a power button when held down. Further presses changes the mode between still or flashing.

The left and right indicators at the bottom are self explanatory. Pressing each one starts the relevant direction indicator flashing. These keep going for 1 minute and require a further press to cancel it. Annoyingly, the light on the remote continues flashing, even if it’s cancelled, so this can be a little tricky to tell that it’s definitely cancelled off. This is one of the slight issues I have with this light.

My only other issue is with the automatic brake light. Once you brake and the motion sensor detects this, the lights all start flashing and take some time to return to the previous mode. Unfortunately, there’s no way to turn this off. I’d have preferred an option to stop this as it may not always be wanted.

Overall, this is good. There’s also a light sensor underneath to turn this off in daylight automatically. You can put a bit of tape over it if you want it permanently on. It would be getting 5 stars if it wasn’t for the 2 issues outlined above.

The light came at the ideal time for me as my rear light packed up a few weeks ago. I did have a very small one I was using but a good sized one to make you more visible is far preferable as the darker days drawn in.

This light comes in sensible small packaging. It comes with instructions which are fine, though the English is quite muddled but I could follow it fine.

Installing was easy. There are brackets for either attaching to the seat or to the frame of the bike. I have gone with the latter. It was straighforward to attach the bracket, with a bit of rubber between it and the frame to ensure it was nice and tight.

The light itself is great. Nice and bright and with a sensor that detects vehicles behind you and brightens to warn. Operation is very simple, hard press on and off and single presses for various modes (solid light, strobing etc).

It comes with a remote that easily assembles to the handle bars via a rubber strap and that gives you the ability to indicate via it and to change lighting modes.

First impressions of this are good. I really like the brightness , the width of it (nice large visible area) and the remote functions are an excellent step. The light highly water resistant, the remote less so so it will be interesting to see how it gets on over winter.
