This is a autumn lawn feed fertiliser which arrives in a large plastic white tub printed on the tub is all the instructions of how to use it. The tub weighs 2.5 kg this filled with multi coloured granules and it helps to keep your lawn looking its best once the weather isn’t so good. It contains a blend of nutrients that will help to keep strong root growth and healthy green colour and resist to disease and pest. The big print says to be used in autumn to prepare the lawn for winter months and possible diseases, especially red threads. However, the small print says it can be used from August to October and also in early spring of February and March. (Please see the green square in my photo).
Their NPK is 10-5-10, and they come in small granular form. Easy to spread by hand then follow with abundant water.
I started applying it 3 weeks ago, around around 2nd week of August but I chose a rainy day. I sprinkled half the recommended amount, just in case, and I sprinkled again after one week when I was sure that my lawn was happy with this fertilizer.
The tub is 2.5 kg which is quite and I consider the value is great.

This is a large tub of lawn fertiliser intended for use in Autumn. Currently around 13 this is excellent value and should cover our lawn a couple of times.
The granules are large and easy to spread, you can use a spreader to make it easier but spreading by hand also works well. As this is for Autumn, i’ll be using these next month and will update accordingly.
Since my lawn is very patchy and yellow at the moment after summer, I’m hoping these work wonders!
The plastic tub contains 2.5Kg, sufficient for 100m, so it does cover a good sized lawn. It’s stated that a treatment lasts for 6 weeks, but honestly I don’t think we’d want to apply regularly. This lawn feed is easy to apply, just sprinkle all over your lawn and either water it to sink into the soil, or allow the rain to do its job. Once we get to Autumn we will try the product on our lawns, after a hot fry few weeks and then a deluge of rain I am sure the lawn will need some help!
It definitely feeds grass. The grass in my garden used to be patchy, in about 3 weeks it has been transformed into a lush green lawn free of patches.
Grass seems thicker and greener with no yellowing, but just be aware that it isn’t a magic powder that will fix your lawn without any further effort. Once it has had a couple of weeks to work you will need possibly put more lawn seed down. Although it’s easy to use, be careful to apply it correctly. I did it by hand but doing it this way took quite a long time. If you accidentally spill too much on an area be sure to thin it out with a rake. One more thing, if it doesn’t properly rain then water it in after a couple of days…otherwise your grass might die.
However I am Happy with the Quantity, it goes a fair distance, is more than enough for covering my garden.

This says it’s an Autumn feed and best used in Autumn but on the side says can be used from Feb to Oct in damp weather.
I used this at the beginning of July as lots of rain was forcast. I applied it at a lower spread rate than recommend to stretch it out a little. Initially it didn’t rain enough so I had to water the lawn a couple of times to keep it damp but it has rained a few times since.
The product is dry and easy to spread even without a proper spreader. I just used a jug and roughly measured out an area to apply it to which I did more or less evenly.
After about 7 days the grass is looking significantly healthier which I’m not sure shows up in my before and after photos. It’s thicker and much greener already.
This product seems to work and is priced better than others I had used. At the time of review it was about 13 for 2.5kg which seems good value.
I got this for my garden as the grass definitely needs some help to improve it and make it look alive again and as I am currently doing the entire garden out, this is perfect timing.

This is a big tub and is definitely enough to do the job and then some. I have applied this and I have been watering it, so let’s see how its going to work (I’ll update with the results).
I do have a baby crawling round, so I have had to make sure he doesn’t go to that area as I don’t know how safe this is for him, as everything goes into his mouth and I’m not risking that.
This is quite a large sized tub filled with feed. Good value for the amount in the tub. As it’s not autumn yet I haven’t used but it promises unbelievable results and a very green lawn so will update results after use

Will be used in the autumn time as instructed, I have used equivalent products and have always been pleased with the results therefore I am very hopeful for this one.
Good feed that really greens up the lawn. Good coverage that easily covered the front and back of my lawn. Two or three days later a real noticeable difference in the garden and it’s thickened up too. Doesn’t have a weed killer in it so no harm to the surrounding areas. Very happy with this feed.
Although it says Autumn, it’s suitable all year round so, with heavy rain forecast, we spread it on our back lawn.
Difficult to advise size ut I’d say our back grass is about half a tennis court and this used about half the container so won’t last long – having said that, we spread by hand as we don’t have the mechanical style dispenser.
Not convinced it has made any improvement but it’s only been about a week but certainly hasn’t done any harm so safe to use.
This is a granules based lawn feed that is sprinkled on to your lawn and left for a day or so for it to be either rained on and watered. So that it can get deep into your lawn roots.
Although this is specifically for autumn it is essential more or less the same as any other lawn feed and can be used throughout most months – except maybe winter when I’d tend to avoid putting anything on your lawn.
Application of this lawn feed is best with a roller that can be set to distribute evenly, however chose any method you like.
I’ve used in some areas of my lawns and noticed the grass growing thicker and stronger so far so I am tempted to utilise across my full lawn, now that the weather has evened up a little. Don’t want to be applying feed in very hot weather.
Decent product and lawn feed that most will find easy success with.
This is an Autum use product so i’ll update (like others receiving this) when the time comes to use the item.
Small enough to sow by hand and i don’t see a spreader as being necessary, loses a star automatically for no ingredients or telling me if my child or pet is going to eat it and it cause them issues. It does say non toxic but i guess take that with a pinch of salt (or lawn fertiliser if you are 16 month old).
I live in the coldest village in the UK we have snow and frost can fly for weeks on end. This can take us toll on the lawn.
This fertiliser is easy to use via a spreader, or by hand. The granules are a good size.
The price is reasonable.
Only time will tell how effective this fertiliser is. However, I am impressed by the level of nutrients which I believe can only be conducive to my lawn.

At the moment is hard to say if this product works, as it is summer and will have to wait to try it out. I will update my review once i see the results.
I am definitely not the gardener in our family but luckily my husband is. He is not pleased with our lawn and had been saying he wanted to get some lawn feed for the autumn. Whilst I tend to zone out at garden talk, I did retain that information and was pleased to find this which seemed to fit the bill.
It comes in a 2.5kg tub which is a big plus. We previously had some lawn feed in a box in our shed and it must have got a bit damp because the smell was overpowering and not great for me as I have a lung condition. By this being in a tub there should not be a problem.
This definitely sounds as though it will help sort out our problem grass. As it is now summer, it won’t be used for a while yet but I will report back once we can properly assess how good it is. I will give it four stars for now because my husband approves of it and, of course, happy husband equals happy life! Seriously, though, it does sound really good, the fact that it comes in a tub is definitely a lot better than being in a box and the price seems fair too. Fingers crossed in a few months, we shall have some green green grass at home!
Decent sized tub and easy to use. You need to water it after laying it down and it should start to grow in a few days.
For the price 13 for 2.5kg this is worth a try, I’ve used this type of lawn feed before ( not this make ) and had great results. The instructions on the tub state not to use in hot dry weather and to use in autumn, it recommends August to October and possibly Feb to March depending on weather, use when ground is damp or when rain is imminent but not when frosty or frozen. Can’t try this till autumn so will have to update then.
Since we are currently in the height of Summer, and enjoying hot and sunny weather, it is not yet the time to be able to use this. Once Autumn is upon us, I’ll be able to actually sow, and get a good idea of effectiveness (and will then comment further). However, having used other Pro-Kleen products, which I’ve found excellent, I feel confident of the product efficacy.
There is no information or indication within the product description as to whether this is child and pet friendly. I assume it is, but wouldn’t take the chance without being sure, so would only use with this in mind, taking relevant precautions accordingly.

To be honest, this isn’t the sort of thing I’d be doing or want to be doing every 6 weeks, realistically no more than once or twice at a push. The product is very small granules, so easy to spread by hand or using a spreader.
Overall, this seems as though it will be a good product, and Pro-Kleen products I have always found exceptionally good (especially NoGrow weedkiller). Not bad value.

Got this to treat my lawn as its a bit patchy in places and could do with thickening up. Gives a good coverage and 1 tub should cover my entire lawn. Granular consistency means I can see where I have applied it and where I haven’t. Hope for good results
