Fantastic kit and great handle
I was so happy to find out there’s almost everything one would like to have – of course from the basic stuff – when going to fish.
A ton of baits and the fishing rod made quite well actually.
Of course because it’s for winter fishing, the handle of the rod is wooden so that hands won’t freeze on it.
Actually is good, for me as an amateur and not really a professional into this area, I liked it!

Good beginner fishing se
Not really many options for ice fishing in England, so I didn’t get it for that.
As a basic beginner fishing set, it is OK. Lots of stuff included along with the rod, reel and lures.
Where I live there are a number of small fishing lakes around me, so thought I’d give it a go.
Seems OK, but I’ve not caught a whole lot. The lakes are currently iced over, but not thick enough that I’ll take a risk standing on them to drop a line through a hole.

There are so many fishing essentials within the package. However, some of these atems are feels so cheap and mostly redundant for an average user.
Many looks and feels a bit toyish too.
What I like in the set
– jigs, reels, lines and lures.
What is not so – ice scrapers, shoe attachments and other bits – they feels very cheap
Full fishing set - suitable for ice fishing or regular fishing
This is a set that’s designed for ice fishing and there’s not a lot of call for that in the UK – at least where I live. However, this set can be used for normal fishing also. It’s reasonable quality and there are a lot of accessories included along with the rod.
Complete set for fishing
Although ice fishing is not really a thing in the UK this makes for a great little complete fishing set and is still a. Good option for tidal fishing or fishing off a boat. You have a compact rod, reel, line, lots of lures, fake bait, and some adsitional winter gear (crampons and an ice ladle.
The rod is mostly cheap plastic with a little padding and was a bit disappointing. It actually comes in 2 parts with the thinner part slotting into the handle. It doesn’t clamp down so there is no chance of using this for casting. Well, not without half the rod flying.
The reel is actualy good quality and lovely and smooth action. The guard flips over nicely to let line out and there is a gear switch on the underside to switch from one way only to 2 way.
The line is basic fishing line, nothinh fancy but will do for small to medium fish.
The crampons i was really impressed with. They slot over boots easily and will be useful for when it snows and there’s ice here.
The laddle looks like it could easily smash a hole thrrough the ice and keep it clear. The rod holder is also pretty sturdy and could probably be used in the summer/spring to.
The lures are good reasonable quality and they are varied in size from tiny to quite large so could attract a few different predatory fish which is good. Failing that there is also fake bait.
Overall a good little kit, the rod is not great but it does the job but for this price i would expect better quality.

I was worried at first about what this package would contain. I am happy to say that I am pleasantly surprised. If you were asked to go for a weekend fishing with a friend, order up this kit and you will be set. It comes with an ice fishing pole, 110 yards of 13lb fishing line, its own skimmer to keep ice out of your hole, and a vast assortment of hooks that you can switch between depending on what you plan on catching. You have your standard rippin hooks for Walleye, Northern, or even bass. Then you have smaller jigs for crappies, and then the tiny jigs for sunfish and perch. Then to top it off, you have different size plastic worms for crappies, sunfish, and perch. I highly recommend this kit for someone who wants to get into ice fishing.

The rod holder works neat, The rode material appears to be fiberglass but maybe a little cheaper than what you would normally find on a rod/reell combo. Still an okay rod though. The reel itself seems to be very good quality for their off-brand. Nice and smooth with the ball bearings. Overall, would make a nice starter set for someone who is younger and not as picky. I feel like the $70 price tag is a little high for this but where are you going to get so many lures, a rod, Ice cleats, et cetera for that price. Personally, I wouldn't buy this for myself or as a gift for an adult. For a kid, might be appropriate.

I got the ML (medium lite I presume) and I would say it is toward the medium side. Light enough for panfish, heavy enough for jigging rap for walleye. A large assortment of ice jigs in good colors/patterns/sizes for panfish and even walleye and some nice jigging raps for walleye/perch in a couple sizes. The rod can be separated from the handle, something I haven't seen before, and the ferrule connection is nice and snug and secure. There is a storage bag for the rod when broken down which I'll probably only use to store off-season which I appreciate, an ingenious horizontal rod holder for hands free fishing, and a very sturdy small ice skimmer for keeping your hole clear of ice. There are some very small lipped crank bait looking lures that will probably be better suited for open water panfishing as well as a dozen or so soft plastic panfish sized baits that I'll likely use for open water as well. It's got everything needed except an auger and a depth finder to get started ice fishing or a nice addition to your arsenal. Very happy with this set!

All of the lures are packaged in their own individual boxes instead of just being thrown into a box. The line that was included was a full reel too. Not some skimpy trial size. It was deceiving how they managed to pack so much into a long, skinny box but you do get the rod, reel, line, the scoop (which is made of metal, by the way and not plastic which was a nice surprise) and bunch of lures and other accessories. Overall, for the money, a good deal and nicely packed kit.

Good beginner ice fishing package
Minus the ice auger, this pretty much has everything you need to get on the ice. Overall, it’s a good kit. The panfish ice jigs are good quality. The vertical jigs seem ok too. The reel operates nicely: the bail flips easily when reeling and reeling is smooth. The medium/light rod seems to be a solid medium. I would put a spring bobber on the end for the lite bite.
The rod bag and ice cleats are cheap, but would work. The ice scoop is different from what I’m used to. Maybe this style is common outside of the U.S.
Some of the lures do not seem to be designed for ice fishing. Those could be used during warmer months. This rod and reel combo could be used in a canoe or kayak along with the included tackle. It would probably be good for a kid too.
