Delivered in a smallish bag which I didn’t think big enough for the 3 seater, but it did in fact contain the size of VANSHEIM Waterproof 3 Seater Garden Swing Cover sized 215x125x170cm. The cover is made of a good thickness 420D Oxford polyester material which is very robust, even in high winds which we’ve had mid-November and certainly waterproof too.

The four thick fastening clip-lock straps are very strong and the drawstring helps to make sure the bottom of the swing cover fits close to the legs or base of the swing itself. There are two big air vents to allow air to circulate when the swing is covered for long periods — as now in late autumn and winter. You can in fact unzip the front and use the cover with the front rolled back over the top — a very neat feature if the weather is being a tad unpredictable!

The cover did get a bit grubby — mostly from lawn cuttings and bird poo, but a wipe down with warm water and it is as good as new. The storage bag will come into its own when we get the warm weather back (not any time soon then) so is a handy addition. One thing we did not immediately realise was that the cover is so good the grass under it was wilting — but that was down to us not moving the swing to its winter home -which we have now done.

Overall this is an excellent cover and not too expensive when you consider the cost of the swing and that replacements for the cowl or cushions are hard if not impossible to find. Definitely recommended.

Until fairly recently we haven’t considered that protecting our garden furniture in the winter months was necessarily a good idea. Years ago we had a cloth cover for a garden bench but I think it made things worse than if we had left the bench uncovered. The cover itself became very unpleasant and we chucked it away.

However, these days the types of garden furniture covers has improved dramatically, helped by the existence of Oxford Fabric which is a woven material made using nylon. I believe there are three main densities of the material with “420D” being in the middle of “210D & 600D (the “D” stands for denier). It’s used for many products such as backpacks, umbrellas, sleeping bags etc., and of course as covers for garden furniture.

Our garden houses quite a large range of furniture including chairs, tables, parasols, recliners, a bench etc. My wife has been wanting a garden swing chair for many years and I have resisted the prospect mainly because garden swing chairs tend to be at the top end of the price range and because of the size of them they aren’t easy to store anywhere, and I am not convinced that the swing chair will fare very well through the winter. We did decide during this last very hot summer that we would be buying a garden swing chair for next year and intend to get one when they are reduced in price because no one wants one (i.e. in the winter months!).

I saw the VANSHEIM 3 seater cover and although we’ll probably go for a two seater it seemed an ideal time to test this winter before we have a swing chair delivered. I decided to err on the safe side by ordering a 3-seater cover, as I won’t be suprised if my wife suggests a 3-seater.

The cover comes in a compact zipped bag and I was surprised how small the bag was when considering the dimensions of a garden swing chair. The Oxford fabric is very lightweight, thin and scrunches down to very compact dimensions. I decided to test it on a collection of our furniture and was amazed that, under the cover, we managed to easily cover a round table, four garden chairs and a garden bench popped on top of the table. There’s no doubt that the cover will suffice for our garden swing chair.

The cover feels really tough and there are buckles for extra anchoring strength and a massive zip which greatly assists the fitting of the cover (in our case a very difficult arrangement of items to cover).

The cover costs just under 45 but when you see how much material there is and the quality of the stitching/seams, zip etc. then I think it’s good value. We anticipate spending between 400-500 on the swing chair and so a cost of 45 is a sensible investment to protect high price garden furniture such as swing chairs.

Impressive cover with plenty of room, waterproof woven Oxford fabric, zipped.

I haven’t used it for a swing chair. We have a purpose-built wooden kitchen unit thing that I got online that our Pizza Over sists on and needed a cover for the winter. This heavy-duty cover was perfect. It was the right height and I’ve used two bungee cords with hooks on to secure the cover around the middle and bottom.

The cover itself feels very thick and very durable. It’s been on our Pizza Kitchen for nearly three weeks now and hasn’t budged. Everything inside is completely dry.

If you are looking for a quality cover for your garden furniture, then definitely check our the Vansheim Brand. The covers are very well made and great value.

I have used this to cover our arbour in the back garden and it fits just right.

It’s good, thick but flexible material, and is easy to move and hang over items or pull up and off.

It keeps the water out so is definitely waterproof. The water just runs off the material, rather than sitting on it.

There’s also a good weight to the cover too. It’s substantial. It means there’s no way some wind will be able to lift it up once it’s secured.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis garden swing cover by VANSHEIM is of wonderful quality and fits my outdoor swing perfectly. Do double check the dimensions of your outdoor swing before buying as buying the wrong one may look a little tacky if it is too long on one end.

Regardless, the material is wonderful and zips very well to ensure a full coverage from the elements such as rain and snow. Even with strong winds the cover stays on tightly and doesn’t fly away. The material is very thick and well reinforced too! It is waterproof and will withstand the many years to come in your garden. Even the black colour hasn’t started to fade either with the mix of sun and rain in the recent weeks. Overall, very happy with the quality and would say that it is worth every penny. Just as a friendly tip, the cover is really big and heavy so may take 2 people to put it on the swing properly 🙂

Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! 🙂

This is a really strong cover designed to protect your garden furniture from the deteriorating effects of weather, good and bad. As well as the obvious protection from rain and snow, it also keeps your items safe from UV radiation from the sun. It’s made from sturdy oxford fabric which is well known for being almost impossible to damage. This cover will last for years and years so the price is reasonable.

We lost our swing seat cover in the high winds last winter, it literally took off – so apologies to anyone who found a large, torn piece of tarpaulin in their garden! We’ve since been using a patchwork one I sewed up of several old barbecue covers, not very adequate. However, this one is really big, exactly what we needed. I’m a big fan of Oxford fabric for garden furniture covers, as it’s breathable yet waterproof, not so prone to tearing, and although the look and feel don’t really matter, it’s nice to have something smooth and not plasticy. It’s got a silver lining too, not entirely sure what that does, but it looks cool 😉
It does take a bit of effort to get this on – we have a three seater swingseat and blimey, I’m not tall or strong, so it took me a lot of huffing and puffing to help my husband actually get it over the top. But once on, the clips and buckles and drawstrings allow you to get such a snug fit, it feels really secure. I’m confident it will survive all the winter gales! It’s a little pricey initially, at about 48 for the very large one we have, but worth its weight in gold if it lasts many winters.

This swing cover is better than I expected!! We have a lot of rain now & not one drop of moisture gets through this. I can even leave my cushions & pillows out now without worrying about them getting wet.

The zippers are great, the material is lightweight but durable. I’m a very happy customer & would recommend this to anyone looking for a well made cover 🙂

Good heavy duty cover. Comes in a zipped pouch for storage when not using.
Fits very well and has adjustable straps with clip buckles to attach around the legs of the chair.
Very impressed with quality of this item and certainly appears as if it will last a long time and provide good protection.

My garden swing is already covered by nylon cover so I didn’t change it as its still in great shape. This cover I will keep as spare when the current one get damaged.
From the first inspection of new cover I can say that it looks much better quality to my current cover. It has zip on both side, not on one only. I could freely open it and use the swing even with cover placed over the swing. It protects from rain and wind and has straps with buckle on each corner, which we can easily secure to swings legs.
The cover is thicker and feels stronger too. It even has air vent for allow air circulate reducing risk of mould or damp from inside. Swing I got on offer at the price of over 80 at time. This cover costs half of the swings value, imagine that.. If I look after the swing and protect it from bad weather it will last me much longer. No rust, no sun damage, no growing life on the fabric 😉
I’m very happy with this cover. Is well made and will last for long time.

This is much better value for money than the ones specifically made for my swing seat, which were prohibit-ally expensive so I didnt buy at the time. So I was very pleased to get one of these to try.

It covers our seat quite neatly and has meant I haven’t even needed to remove the cushions or fabric parts this year. It took 2 of us to get it on, but I think other half could have managed it on his own, but it was easier with the both of us.

Seems to be great quality but I will update the review next spring if there are any major issues. But all the signs point to this being a good choice.

I ordered this to try to prevent mildew and rust forming on our swing seat.

This well made cover is Very heavy Duty 420D Oxford Fabric and is also waterproof, weatherproof, dust-proof, UV resistant and Rip resistant.

The cover has outside piping and double stitching so it’s very robust and strong.

It Features 2 zips in the front of the garden swing chair cover to resist water if closed.

There is also waterproof tape is on the top of the seams to prevent water leaking inside.
Durable click-lock straps are at the bottom to hold it in place together with drawstrings.

The swing cover has 2 large air vents on either side with a mesh lining. The air vents are designed to promote air circulation inside the swing cover to prevent mould growth.

All in all a very well made cover that will hopefully extend the life of my seat.

    Good value and well made.
    Would definitely recommend.

Impressive, pack quite heavy and it comes on its own bag to store when not in use.
I’m taking the cover out for your swing bed and realise this is a two man job and you really need to make sure you get the zips at the front end. Don’t be fooled like me zips are not inside out they look very good and work very easily very happy.
The cover fits really well easy to slide over the top canopy of your swing bench and then it slips down. I’m allowing you to tie off using the belt clips on each corner to the bottom side bars of your swing bench very easy and very secure. We’ve had really bad wind. It does fill with air but the swing bench does not go anywhere brilliant.
I really like the front open zips allows us to use the swing bench, sit on it at a moments notice very happy.
I like the material and it reflects the price point at 45 as it’s waterproof has air vents at the side. I’m allowed access to your swing bench at any time. Very happy highly recommend

This is a great item. It’s already had it’s first weather test, and past with flying colours! It’s lightweight, can be tied around the legs to ensure it doesn’t fly off on a strong wind, and has a drawstring for extra security. It’s a great item, and I would recommend it if you’re looking for a garden swing cover. I’m very happy with it.

I purchased a swing seat from Amazon two years ago (which incidentally has been one of my favourite purchases). The only drawback was it didn’t have a cover, which meant dismantling it whenever we expected inclement weather. This involved removing the seat and canopy, which ended up taking up space in the garage.

You can imagine my delight when this item appeared. I ordered the 180 x 125 x 160 cm size, which at the time of writing was priced at 40.99. The cover arrived well packed, compact, and was contained within it’s own storage bag. On taking it out of the bag, the fabric felt very soft to the touch. I inspected the seams, and everything felt and looked good quality. I put the cover over my swing and it fitted like a glove. There were clips at each corner, which secured the cover to the legs of the swing, plus a drawstring, which tightened everything up. There are also air vents on either side to allow air circulation. There are full length zippers on each of the front corners. I used these to unzip the cover and place an item onto the seat to add some weight, and also to protect the item stored on the seat.

Only time will tell how durable this cover proves to be, but I certainly have high hopes. The fabric feels very durable and soft, the seams look very well made, and the clips and drawstrings seem sturdy enough to hold the cover in place.

I am extremely happy with this product and feel confident it will protect my much loved swing through the Winter months, and I am more than happy to recommend this item. I also feel it is definitely worth the price of just over 40.

    Your swing needs this !

A really nice cover that’s so much better than the woven nylon variety.

Has a zip along one corner to make it easy to put on and a drawstring at the bottom to keep it in place once it’s fitted.

Really quite tough, it is unlikely to rip unless you’re really clumsy, normal use should be fine. It’s completely waterproof and even when water pools on a dip it doesn’t soak through.

Good value for a quality cover.

I was shocked at how heavy this was when it arrived, this is because it is a strong goid quality cover. I went up a size as the measurements were the same as size of swing so thought it better to be bigger, in hindsight I should have trusted the size guide but still it has drawstrings around the bottom and clips that you can trach to the legs so have used these to secure it.
Overall I am really pleased as my wooden swing chair will now be protected and hopefully last for many years now.

    Decent quality cove

This is a large swing seater cover, it is waterproof so hopefully it will keep my bench safe over the cold winter months.
It is on the large size but I tied the bottom with the drawstring to secure the cover in place, the material seems nice and stong so I dont think it will rip easily.

This swing chair cover is perfect for giving great all weather protection. The material feels of very decent quality and it very easy to fit in about 5 minutes (a couple more only just to tighten/secure/adjust the straps).

Our swing chair is just over 200cm length, 120cm wide and 170cm high so the 215 x 125 x 170 fits well with a little space each side. The adjustable drawstrings help to pull everything closer together very nicely.

There are 4 buckles to secure the cover around each corner leg and these are easy adjustable to make nice and tight. There is a good sized mesh vent (each covered with an upside-down pocket so as to prevent rain coming in) on each size to allow good air circulation so as to prevent damp and mould.

The cover comes in a storage pouch with a handle so it can be easily packed up and stored on a hook in my garage when not in use. Of course – I’ll be sure to make sure it is fully dried out before packing away.

I put it on without undoing the front panel zips first – it would have been much easier to see which way around to put it on if I had (lesson learned for next time!) and also with a snugger fit would be essential.

One extra bonus about the front panel zips is that if you wanted to still use it without completely removing it you can open it up and fold it over the top as use as normal ( (probably without swinging too much though!)

This is a very good universal fitting (3 different sizes available at the time of ordering), great quality cover that I am sure will last a good number of years. It is easy to install and remove and packs away again in its supplied pouch. This will keep our garden swing chair and roof in great condition when not in use. Seems a good and fair price at the time of ordering – just shy of 45 for the size we needed. Excellent and highly recommend this!

Wonderful Quality Swing Chair Cover and can still be used with the front zipped open!

This garden swing cover could prove essential during the winter months to protect your garden furniture.

It’s water resistant and a good size at 150x250x160cm, with drawstrings, buckles and zips to get a good fit. There are also air vents to let the air escape in windy conditions and prevent mould.

The material feels strong and durable, so I wouldn’t expect any tears or rips anytime soon.

All in all, it’s a good garden swing cover for the winter months.

We’ve got a large wooden swing seat that I was struggling to find a cover to fit.
This is actually slightly too large but that seems to work as when it is windy there is so give in the movement of the cover.
Particularly useful are the drawstring around the bottom to try to keep it tight. Many covers don’t have these features and it is worth spending a little extra of you can find them in a cover that fits.
I need to wait for the heavy rain with strong winds. I hope i get no damage to the cover so therefore no damage to the swing seat.
