The strips are easy to use. Simple immerse the strip for 2 seconds in the water wanting to test. Shake off any access water and wait for 30 seconds holding the strip horizontally. Then compare the pads to the colour chart for your results.

100 strips are given for 16.99, to be honest I’m not entirely sure if this is reasonable or not as I’ve never used anything like this before, but if you’re testing for potentially harmful levels of chemicals in your water then surely they’re invaluable. They do have an expiration date to be aware of.

I recently purchased the 16 in 1 Water Testing Kits and have been extremely impressed with its performance. These kits are a convenient and easy way to test the quality of my drinking water, and they come with 100 test strips that can be used to check for a wide range of contaminants, including lead, hardness, pH, chlorine, nitrate, iron, copper, and more.

One of the things I love most about these kits is that they are simple to use. I just need to dip the test strip into a sample of my water and then compare the resulting color to the chart provided to determine the levels of various contaminants. This allows me to quickly and accurately assess the quality of my water and take any necessary steps to improve it.

In terms of quality, these test kits are reliable and accurate. They are also a great value, with 100 test strips included in each package.

Overall, I am extremely happy with my purchase of the 16 in 1 Water Testing Kits and would highly recommend them to others. They are a convenient, easy-to-use, and reliable way to test the quality of drinking water.

My review is based around the current selling price of 16.99 with no vouchers available

    Pros:
    100 strips
    16 tests in 1 strip!
Good shades for indications (not easy to mistake!)
    Well made
    Great quality
    Easy to use

    Cons:
It is difficult to confirm the accuracy as nothing to compare against!

I got these mostly out of curiosity to test my water supply for hardness and found this testing kit to be a very comprehensive with one strip in a short time you can test for so many components all you do is hold strip against supplied card and match the colour shade, I am very pleased with this kit as it’s just so interesting to use and see the results.

These 16 in 1 water testing kits for drinking water arrived packed in the plastic pot.
There is together 100 strips split in to 4 packs of 25.

These test strips are very easy to use and the results are almost immediate.
I’ve tried them to test my tap water in the kitchen and water from my filter jug.
I’ve noticed the difference in the alkalinity, pH and hardness, so I know now that filters work well.

Excellent idea, it is good to check water quality from time to time.

After a few hiccups, mostly of my own making, I got the hang of these test strips, and I can see they are a quick way of screening your drinking water for abnormalities that might be a risk to health. There are 100 strips, in sealed foil packs contained in a plastic bottle, together with the instructions. Opened packs need to be kept dry, so the lid should be tightly on. You dip the strip in some of the water to be tested for one or two seconds, remove excess, and then compare the coloured patches with the chart on the bottle. You need to assess the results within 30 seconds (or 60, depending on which instructions you follow), after which, the colours will change.
On first doing this. I initially thought we had dangerously high mercury levels in the tap water, according to the relevant square on the wetted strip (it says something about my trust in the local water company that I was prepared to half-believe this). However, when samples of both still and sparkling bottles water gave the same alarming result, I soon realised that I had the strip upside down, and was reading the wrong line. In my defence, I am partially colour-blind, and the patches are very small. With the test done correctly, it is easier to lay the strip alongside the reference column beside the chart, when any major variances can be seen instantly. The main difference between the three samples was the alkalinity levels, which were higher in the tap water.
These test strips are quick and easy to use. I can’t vouch for their accuracy or precision, of course, but I would use them as an indicator of the need for further investigation, should any of the results look too high.

    Convenient and quick to use.

I hate the water from the taps and now I can prove when I spend so much time energy and money filtering and distilling our water before we actually use it, it’s absolutely disgusting to see the difference in the water I treat to what the water company sends through the taps, but now I can just show people and prove I’m not crazy

These little test strips are generally fairly easy to use. Dip for up to two seconds, shake the excess water off horizontally being careful not to let the colours bleed into the adjacent pad then compare the reading next to the bottle colour chart after 30 seconds.

Our water, as expected, seemed to be in the safe levels indicated. I found the ones where white is the lowest colour the hardest to determine the actual reading for but the others were fine.

It can be handy as a test if you water tastes off, or if you want to test the hardness level for coffee machines etc, or even if you want to check against expensive bottled water.

You can get an idea of the general make up of the water, but not whether there is any bacteria content.

You get 100 strips with approx a 2 year use date. It might seem more than you need but I guess water make up can change regularly so handy to be able to double check on occasion.

Good to know what is in your wate

I used these strips to test the supply in my building as the pipes are very old and I wanted to make sure the tap water was decent enough quality to drink. I also tried them with bottled water as a control and the results seem consistent. They come in a large canister with an easy to read chart on the label and there are absolutely loads of them so they will last a while.

Sometimes our water is very chalky looking and we got these to see if it’s actually safe to drink. The kit was easy to use, and it was fun to see that our water is safe. The children were fascinated how to use the ki

Easy to use water testing strips for drinking water. The pack contains 5 sealed packs with 100 strips in total. The lifespan of these is long and the accuracy is good. There are clear instructions on the side of the box and on an included leaflet inside. The test is simple to perform, with quick and accurate results and even a chart on the side of the box to show the recommended levels along with the highlighted boxes showing the recommended levels on the side of the container. I found the readings very interesting and the water I was drinking, was not as good as I thought it was, so I will be adjusting my water intake accordingly. These strips are very helpful to ensure your family is getting the correct balance in their water and gives clear and concise readings of anything that needs to be addressed. Overall, very good value and very helpful.

A friend worried my wife the other day after she had seen some conspiricacy video about what chemicals are in our tap water .

The friend has been using bottled water ever since .

By chance had an opportunity to try these test strips on our water . As far as I can see apart from a slightly high ph reading everything seems to be within parameters. So no need for us to rush out to buy bottled water .

They are easy to use and compare with the colours on the tin.

The only thing would have been a leaflet explaining what the various tests are , as an example although we were in range I have no idea what “Carbonate Root” actually is.

The paper is very helpful for checking drinkable water quality. I made an experiment on what’s different between purified water, tap water and Volvic. The results were shocking cause there were not much different between purified and tap water. The water purifier at my home isn’t usefull. I didn’t realize that before checking with this paper. I could decide I won’t spend any money to change new filter. I added a picture so you can see my result.

Give immediate result for water tes

Got these for camping as I thought they would show safe/unsafe drinking water.
They are simple to use and you can take just one or two in your pack.
The box has the colour guide and so does the plastic cannister and there is a basic indication of the ideal levels to look out for .
There are 100 strips , 20 in each foil pack.

You arent supposed to touch the test areas with your fingers so if you only want to take a couple, better to bag them up to maintain the dry state.

    To test
Dip one in a glass of water, hold it dangling
Check the colour against the guide colour chart.

Doesn’t show such things as bacteria so not quite what I thought they were but useful for seeing fluoride or chlorine levels /alkalinity/mineral contents

I was interested to know what the tap water quality was like but more importantly to see if I’ve been wasting hundreds over the years on water filters by the popular water filter brand. I tested distilled water, with tap water and then filtered tap water, the photo isnt as easy to see as the camera and lighting impacts on the colours but to sum up, as expected the distilled water had lower hardness, lower alkalinity and ph and no nitrates and lower carbonate all other readings looked similar to tap water.

With regards the tap water vs the filtered tap water; the filtered water had a slightly lower ph and alkalinity, a slight reduction in hardness and carbonate. The only other difference was both tap and filtered water had higher nitrate. On checking water filters don’t remove nitrates so the result is accurate. Also, it appears in America the nitrate limit is 10mg/L whereas in the Uk its 50mg/L. My water has around 40mg I would say (hard to tell exactly from the chart but certainly over 10mg).

Testing was quick and easy, I did use a few as got the occasional bleed of colours generally caused by shaking them downwards, so keeping them horizontal is key. You have to read the results after 30 seconds and not leave for longer as the change in colour isn’t then as accurate. It is a little fiddly and not very easy to tell the difference. I expect if I tested rainwater or river water against tap water a bigger difference would be seen over tap and filtered tap. Stored correctly they appear to have an expiry of Oct 2024, and good to see the are divided into separate sealed pouches inside the container so not all are open at the same time. They are not cheap and unless you’re using to regularly test water then it’s a lot of strips for occasional use and would be nicer to see cheaper smaller amounts. Worth noting the “ideal range” figures on the box are not for UK water, given it states nitrate at 0-10g, whereas in the Uk its 0-50g, not sure about the other readings but if you get over zero then it’s worth looking online to see what the readings mean.

Quick to test and show a difference when tested

I chose to order these water testing strips because in truth i never realised you could! I suffer from a medical condition and i have to be sure about my water intake so i buy filtered bottle water which can be very expensive to be sure i know what i consume is ok even then i tend to boil the water. So now im crossing my fingers that these strips will save me so much more .. money wise! If i can test the water from my tap daily and are able to be sure it doesnt contain certain contaminates that then means im able to drink tap water and its only cost around 17p per strip instead of the 0.80 – 1.30 per filtered water bottle (prices vary dependant on where and what is available at the time ) since recieving these strips ive tested my water a few times at different points of the day and ive been surprised by the results things i didnt think would be there over different things like lead and fluorides. With that said id encourage you to try and see who knows what your water will tell you with certain skin conditions im not actually surprised to see what some of the causes could actually be. If that isnt enough of a reason to help with medical issues or just wanting to know what you put in your body but you can also use them to test your pool/jacuzzi water aswell which is fantastic as that saves even more money in the long run. If all thats not reason enough they also provide a 1 year warranty and customer services if i have any issues or queries making the overall price very good value for money. Its also worth noting that there is 100 in the pack but for freshness sake and longevity they come in sealed packs of 20 so they will last longer.

    Very handy!

When you move into a new property, have a well, or when the local council have been digging up roads, or during floods and droughts when supplies can get switched – it is a really good idea to test your mains water. Try as www search using the terms “why you should test your water” to get the advice.

The simple reason that we all know is to check the pH and calcium content so that we can set the dishwasher correctly to reduce the risk of spots and smearing on the glass and save on the expensive salt if we do not need it. But there is much more than that.

[1] flouride – some people advocate for it in the water supply to reduce dental decay – but others are scared of the other risks. If you know your local levels then you can make an informed choice. Remember children need different levels to adults.
[2] heavy metals – many of us in the West Country recall the time a whole lot of aluminium salts got dumped in the local water supply!
[3] nitrates – these can increase as run off from farms. Recommendations officially state the limit for nitrates at 10 mg/L. Any volume over this level is considered unsafe and must be dealt with accordingly. In the UK several ways are available, such as water filter jugs.
[4] to check that any water softener in your house is working correctly.
[5] to decide if you need to use expensive water for steam irons – or can just use the mains tap

These strips do the job well – our washing machine engineer introduced us to them. I used a strip today and found high nitrate levels. Now we are in a mainly rural area of water supply and this is after a lot of rains. So I know to use a water filter jug and will retest again next week. If it persists – then I will be calling our water board to get them to look into it. How else would you know?

    We found:
these strips do the job – the pH and limescale risks were spot on to that reported by our water board
they come in sealed packs of 20 – inside an airtight container – so should last a long time. In this pack size they work out at about 50p a test.
they test way more than the basic test strips that come with new dishwashers
    delivery was very quick

    none that I can see

CONCLUSION: these seem to do the job well, I would certainly get these again when I run out.

Very useful test kit - and not just for setting up the dishwashe
