I just wanted a basic machine to use when I’m on call at home (I’m a carer), that responds well and quickly to basic functions. This is perfect for me and a good price.

I am a Law student in the UK and my old, more powerful windows laptop just broke. I used to have a cheap, small chromebook and I had always missed it. I am extremely happy with my purchase, it is small, portable, great battery life, looks solid (I drop my tech all the time) and great screen ratio.
It has everything I actually need. I open it and I am already typing in google docs, checking my email or reading a pdf within literally 5 seconds! In addition, it can seamlessly play Clash Royale or even edit images. I don’t need more for my study laptop.
I bought one for my eldest last year, and was so impressed I bought one for my youngest this year.
Is it the best Chrome laptop out there? No, but it’s great value and does what my daughters want – they do their homework on it, watch streaming services, play online games etc.
This was everything I was hoping for. It wasn’t quite clear from the description, but it has two USB-A and two USB-C ports so with suitable adapters, it can support two external screens and a mouse (which is definitely needed). Also a microSD slot.
I bought this as I needed an additional laptop to work on whenever our Dell Windows laptop is being used by my family. I only need really need a browser for web apps, email, docs/sheets/drive etc. so this has everything I needed to take notes and do admin. Well it turns out to be much quicker for doing this stuff than the Dell Windows laptop and a sixth of the price!! It boots in seconds and everything is speedy. I’ve also turned on Linux in the settings, so am able to install Linux apps (from the terminal, or simply double clicking .deb files). I’ve installed Visual Studio Code which integrates with GitHub. This is superb value. I still need the windows laptop for large apps like Cubase, but I’d definitely recommend this Chromebook for students writing essays, writers, bloggers, self employed for admin, browsing, and using web apps.

I took advantage of the pay over five months interest free with next day delivery.The Chrome Book arrived well packaged.To be honest we have only charged it and sett it up at present.It is a good looking and well built peace of kit .My wife will have many hours of enjoyment over the coming years with her gift.Asus is a well known brand .Over the past years we have purchased numerous Asus items and never been disappointed .
Very Good for browsing
Good for the price (so far) and i’m very pleased with all the functions. No right click though? Press alt and double tap the pad…..loads super quick, responds well, resolution is good. Happy
It’s a budget device, so it’s quite slow, the screen isn’t very bright and the sound is poor. But for the price it is perfectly acceptable. Great for everyday tasks, web browsing etc. Recommended, unless you want to pay more for higher performance.
For the money this is a nice device. Fast and responsive to use. Battery last well when using but does seem to fade if just closed and left on. For an every day machine for surfing, spreadsheets etc it’s great.

It isn’t the same as having a laptop but as an advanced tablet its great.
I was initially hesitant to order this laptop as it wasn’t clear if it could work with a monitor or tv etc, I did buy a HDMI to usb c adaptor also and this work! It’s a great laptop for basic tasks you can download a fair few apps to including Microsoft teams etc.
It was great that it was on prime day sale too so very good price for what it is.
Great Product and Price
Really good price for a well known brand. This was easy to set up. I’m a bit of a technology dinosaur and I didn’t struggle to get this ready for my daughter. Nice size for smaller hands. Need to log in to your gmail to get set up and then get access to all of the features you’d expect. Great item.
I bought this Asus Chromebook 14 for my wife to watch iPlayer, Netflix etc. She is delighted with it as the screen quality is good and the sound quality perfect for close viewing. For this type of undemanding end-use, this inexpensive Chromebook is excellent value.
Better than tablet, less complicated than a laptop, the add doesn’t say it fold back 360 with an on screen keyboard which make it mor easier and comfortable to work with. Battery life is okay, you can also use an external dvd drive. But a part of ad says about sim card and stylus which is not for this type (asus cr1100) and finally comparing to a known brand tablet whit the same ram and storage capacity the price is very reasonable .
At least than 200 I was expecting a lot less of a machine. Yes, my model was a only a dual core Celeron running ChromeOS. In reality I purchased a light-weight, fast machine with a long battery life capable of doing all I have asked of it. I could not ask for more.
It took less than 24 hours from order to delivery, with free delivery. The chromebook does exactly what it should do, and is exactly as described. Still very early days, but so far it has been a joy.
Low Price, High Quality
It’s great so far. Bought to relieve the
work load on the PC. And for remote usage out of the house. Synchronization is easy. Fully featured and great so far. I’m still trying to figure out all the icons and menus, but it’s working great.
This is a great machine. I’m an academic in the humanities and find this perfect for all my needs when logged in on Microsoft 365 at work and on the go. I like the touchscreen that folds back into a tablet. I did buy myself a mouse, though. The touchpad is a bit spongy compare to the HP used heavily for 6 years but with the mouse, for daily use, this’ll be great. The battery, fully charged will last a full working day plus some but it does depend on what you’re doing.
Efficient and beautiful
Extremely pleased with the Chromebook’s efficiency. Using the Google Operating System for the first time has surprised me with its ease of use. Everything was available from my google account, bookmarks, history etc. No longer any need for downloading contents of my old computer to transfer. Love the look and feel of the keyboard and general appearance. It’s operation is very fast and intuitive. I haven’t found any negatives! Love this baby
As a student, I know the struggles of carrying around heavy textbooks and a clunky laptop. That’s why I decided to upgrade to a Chromebook, and boy am I glad I did! This thing is lighter than my ego after getting a C on a math test. Plus, the battery lasts longer than my last relationship. The keyboard is clickier than my mom’s disapproval when she sees my grades, but that just means it’s responsive and helps me type faster. And don’t even get me started on the Google Suite – it’s like having a personal assistant who won’t judge you for procrastinating until the night before a project is due. Overall, I highly recommend this Chromebook to any student who wants to lighten their load (both physically and mentally) and focus on what really matters – scrolling through memes during class.
Bought for our little one and perfect for school work. Parent controls are very easy to set up. Quick for what using it for. Can’t ask for more.

The screen doesn’t have touch on it, have to buy new mini mouse to go with this because its little difficult to touch on pad to move. Battery is good, last long time before charge it.
Needed a laptop quickly whilst mine was being repaired and saw this, saw the price and reviews and bought it.
Now I’m very happy with the laptop in general, the screen is clear and it’s heavy but not so you can’t carry it comfortably in a laptop case/bag, the layout is simple but nice and the start up speed you can’t complain about at all.
However what is so annoying to me is you don’t know if you’ve got capitals unless you type and then it took me to google just to find out how to type in capitals without holding the capitals key down continuously.
There is no back light on the keypad either which is annoying and would of been cheap enough to add that feature.
Finally .. and I don’t understand why but the screen measured diagonally corner to corner of the screen display (measured how they do in store) it comes to 16.4″ not 17″ as advertised and this I’m completely flummoxed over as this is a top brand and no matter what tape measure I used or who measured it for me it still came to 16.4″ (my son made it 16.5) but nonetheless it isn’t 17″ close enough not to complain or return though.
All in all I’m happy to use this as a comfortable spare that’s easy to navigate and has all the basic functionality you need.
For the price 17.3 inch screen…I was thinking of buying either an IPAD Pro or the S8 Ultra… instead, I bought this as a cheaper option and use it as a tablet, so streaming and lite work is what I use it for, I have a more powerful option for the more taxing task, and as such, I am pleased with the purchase, the screen is not the brightest or detailed but at this price point it’s adequate at 279 you get what you pay for if you want all the bangs and whistles then you will be needing a far bigger budget.
