Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersCooler came in 2 days.

I kept the thermal paste that came on it, easy install! If you’re not sure there’s great YouTube videos.

I had never bothered using anything else but the wraith cooler than came with my r5 3600. But when i tried Hunter: call of the wild the other day, temps were 80s to low 90. I wasn’t a fan of that.

So bought this cooler, and Holy crap. I tried it again and also with benchmark apps and the highest temp i got was 65.

    Super happy with this.

The AK400 has been stellar for me so far. I put together a new build for my partner with an i5 12600k and temps have been great, maybe 50c gaming but never above 60. It was super easy to install and the fan retention latches work great too. 5 stars.

    So far, so good.

Everything I needed to install it was in the box (plus manual and warranty information). There are extra parts, based on different processors, and a second set of clips, so one could mount another fan on the thing.

No difficulty installing, it went super fast. It’s quiet and keeping my processor temp adequately low.

    So 100% happy.

I have not used DeepCool products before, but I was doing a budget build for a friend and thought I’d give this one a go. I have to say I was impressed by the build quality of this cooler, the ease of installation, and the performance. Not to mention, it looks great!

I purchased an R5 5600X to solve a bottleneck with a new GPU but the stock cooler from AMD was garbage, it was throttling and not reaching full clock speed but with this cooler that problem disappear, maximum temps are about 70C at full load. Recommended!

Using on a Ryzen 7 5700x. Playing Farm Sim 22 and temp was running about 45. Need for Speed Heat was a little over 50. It did run cooler before I put the side back on my case so I need to play with my case fans and see if will bring it down some. Easy install and looks nice.

I bought this as a temporary heatsink as I upgrade my main desktop system. I prefer water cooling and that will be moved over to the new system when I fully retire the old one. Attaching/removing the fan from the heatsink is surprisingly easy. I’m not a fan of how the heatsink attaches to an AM5 motherboard. However, once attached, the unit did a great job of keeping CPU temps under control.

Using it to cool a i7-13700k. Under regular use with ambient temperature of 25C, the CPU remains around 40C.

Under full load while running synthetic test, it will reach up to 99C, pulling around 200W. If your workload consistently maxes out the CPU I’d recommend getting a higher-performing cooler.

However, I’m happy with it for my needs.

Went from a Wraith Stealth cooler that came with R5 5600x and bought this. My gaming temps prior we’re maxing out at 82 degrees and quite often. Now, I rarely see 60 degrees. For the price I paid, absolutely worth it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve never left a review before, but this cooler made me unbelievably happy and satisfied. My AMD stock cooler I had on before this was definitely not sufficient to say the least. Some games I would see my cpu get as high as 87, and always hovered around 76-77c. I returned a cooler previously because it didn’t work with my system, and was absolutely miserable to install. I’m not a pro with computers but I’m good at the basics of everything, this cooler took minutes to install, and even in the most intense games I’ve yet to see it get passed 65c. I’m genuinely impressed, and for only being $35? I would by this again with 0 questions asked

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a slim cooler that will probably fit in most cases and not block RAM or anything. It’s much quieter than my stock cooler even at 100% speed. Temps never went above 55C under max load on my 5700x. Comes with pre applied thermal paste that I didn’t change and it works fine. My CPU was fine with the base model that includes one fan but it does come with extra clips to add a fan later.

Easy to install with the included parts, you just need a screw driver. It is easy to mistakenly install it the wrong way round, with the logo upside down which only matters if that will bother you aesthetically but it won’t affect temps.

Will update Temperature readings after a solid 2-3 hrs of Cod MWII (2022) gameplay.
After two hours of play 38 Degrees Celsius. CoD MWII seems to be a GPU heavy game as the temp shot to 52 Degrees Celsius whilst downloading a 7/8GB game (Upon task complete temp dropped to 28).
Sound Meter App (phone resting on case): 40 dB. 38 dB Avg.
the Mounting was pretty simple although there was an oversight on my end which led to disassembly of the Cooler and readjustment of the brackets (Cut me some slack first time building a PC).

After installing an RTX 3080 Ti with my Ryzen 5 3600 Cpu setup the demands placed on the cpu with stock cooler were extreme. Stock cooler had temps hitting 95C under load. Purchased the Deepcool AK620 cooler and temps dropped to 65C to 70C under full load which is remarkable in comparison to the previous temps. Definitely worth the upgrade.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have to state first off I DID NOT use this CPU cooler to cool a CPU. I DID buy THREE of them, and used each one to cool a MOSFET transistor that was dissipating up to 100 watts of heat, in various constant current load / battery tester devices.

But I was STUNNED at how effectively this cooler worked. With more conventional heat sinks on the power transistor, the thing rapidly got too hot to touch and the whole heat sink got very war when I was dissipating under 40 watts. With THIS thing used to cool the transistor, the bulk of it was virtually room temperature while dissipating 65 watts of heat from the transistor. Even the aluminum plate (with the copper heat pies) on which the transistor was mounted (would be the plate that contacts a CPU when this is uesd for its normal function) got only mildly warm to the touch… barely so… while dissipating 65 watts from the transistor! This thing REALLY is well designed. [I was powering the fan via a board that controlled fan speed by sensing temperature of the cooler… and it rarely ran the fan at more than lowest speed.]

This is really an amazingly good cooling device for the price.

Be aware it is a vertically mounted and rather BIG device compared to the CPU coolers I am familiar with… you need an appropriately roomy case in which to use this.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI installed the AK400 in my Zalman S2 case after watching a few installation videos. I’m using an AMD-based micro-atx motherboard. The spacers for the motherboard I would say were the weakest link. If you watch videos on youtube, they are the orange plastic pieces that go over the backplate holes on the motherboard. The spacers do not secure themselves on the motherboard, as they don’t seem to have any threading at all. They just set the screws at the right height so they thread the backplate properly. The problem with the spacers is that because they aren’t threaded, they easily wobble around. I had one pop out while I was trying to tighten a different screw down, and then I had to take time to slip it back in. Other than that, the installation is pretty easy.

A couple words of caution- pay attention to how much maximum cooler height your case says you have. My case says it has 156mm of room. The AK400 says it takes up 155mm. I used up all 155mm of that space. Also, it’s obviously easier to install this when the motherboard is not in your case yet. I had a little trouble getting the fan clipped on because my motherboard was already in the case, but it worked out.

I will say, compared to the wraith stealth cooler I had (stock cooler), my cpu is running 15 to 20*C cooler now (Ryzen 5 3600) under stress tests. Definitely worth it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a full review of the item from my expertise, good value for money, not to bad but you can buy it cheaper elsewhere, easy mounting system and even comes with a screwdriver for mounting everything, sound quite quiet, performance debatable, for test reference this cooler was tested on an AMD ryzen 7 5700G 8core with 16mb catche, heat out put is worked out differently to rated tdp, rated tdp is 65w acuall tdp is 71w packages 45w-65w processor real rating over 100w, first up my old CPU cooler for comparison the old cooler was a deepcool cooler was designed for an am3 socket had 4 heat pipes with copper exposed at the base plate, and rated for a 65wtdp 6core fx processor, idle temps where high as expected at a steady 52c
At gaming load on a number of games temps where at average 62-65c at full load tested with cinebench was 69.7c and did not thermal throttle, I was very surprised how well it did considering, it was the wrong design in the first place it also didnt thermal throttle, next up the ak620, I would like to note first I love the design of the 620 with the duel fan configuration which helps with cooling and the simple fitment design, downside not a copper base plate no direct copper piping contact with the CPU, design could have been better here, the metal fins feels stong probably made from steel, so I fitted the ak620 which was a very easy process, on idle temps there where noticeably a big difference dropping by over 10c with processor temps at around 35c, I thought not bad, then we came to the gaming tests all the same games used as before, average temps where about 54-56c which seemed like a big difference again by about 10c but then came the let down at full load using cinebench of course at max load max temps hit a steady 64.9c I tested this multiple times checked mounting pressures and still had the same result 64.9c now don’t get me wrong this is a 5c drop from the old cooler but only 5c did feel to short, especially since this cooler is rated for a 250w tdp, has 6 heat pipes and two fans for cooling, so I upped the ain’t and put on some noctua fans but even then only dropped a further .4c to 64.5c, I think this is due to the fact there is no direct contact with the heat pipes which slows the heat transfer to the heat pipes them selves,
Overall perfectly useable with a CPU with an output of 150w definitely would not advise using it on a 250w cpu where other coolers definitely have better cooling capabilities, value very very good value indeed I cannot stress that enough.
    Finally grade test
Performance, b+ closer to an A
    Value for money A+
    Noise A
    Mounting system A

Really great cooler, keeping my CPU temps down even when playing demanding games and there is barely any noise! Only thing is that with RGB RAM I had to move the front fan to the back because this cooler is pretty chonky, which is fine, but if you need the fan to be at the front by the RAM there wasn’t enough clearance (tested with Corsair vengeance RGB RAM) but it might depend on what RAM you have and how tall they are

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersAt the beginning, I would like to point out that this review is not sponsored by Deepcool.

    Review updated.
In short – the AK620 I purchased on Amazon cooled the Ryzen 5 3600XT CPU not much better than the Wraith Spire.

I was contacted by DEEPCOOL Customer Service and they offered to replace the AK620. I got my new cooler a few days later. At last everything works as expected from an efficient cooler. The temperature at IDLE is 30-32C, 60-65C while gaming and 70-72C at full load and is much quieter than the Wraith Spire and Wraith Prism. Installation is easy and AK620 does not conflict with RAM (I use “regular” low profile RAM modules).

After examining the previous cooler, I noticed that the copper base was worn in the middle part due to the convexity of base, which was causing the base to not fit the CPU properly.

Now I can honestly recommend the AK620 to anyone looking for a good CPU cooler. Deepcool has proved that a good brand is not only about products, but also, and maybe most of all, about customer service.
I would like to thank Jeny and all customer service staff for very good communication and quick replacement.
