Initial reviews of this were mixed because of the overheating issue and battery life.
The price you see above is much reduced and at this price it’s a great buy. Why?
The image quality is superb. The stabilization is superb. But here’s the thing, the form factor is amazing. If you’re wading into a lake or the ocean, a tiny little box like this is SO handy! You don’t notice it in your hand and you can shoot and frame with the big gorgeous screen on the back. So too it magnetically attaches to pretty much anything, so walking around, on a bike, on a fridge, you name it, it’s great. This form factor is what makes it compelling.
This is despite the fact that the battery life (when detached from the battery or screen base) and the overheating are still less than ideal. But for my uses (shot bursts usually in water) it’s a gem.

Excelente cmara para llevar en viajes y bloguear , llego en excelente estado pero lo nico que falto fue un accesorio que llegara que fue el Magnetic Adapter Mount que me toco comprarlo por aparte, pero de resto super bien.
DJI es una marca excelente y tanto los drones como las pocket osmo son productos fantsticos. Con la primera versin de la Action no estoy seguro de que igualaran a la Go Pro pero este modelo es brillante a todos los niveles. Y el acople magntico en vez de andar quitando tornillos es sublime. Como todos sus productos, tiene un ecosistema de accesorios impresionantes y a pesar de que el modelo 3 ya no es modular (para no gusto ste es superior) s que contina siendo compatible con los accesorios magnticos. Para mi es un 10/10.
Come on DJI.. Square design lends itself to a square sensor.. also would be nice to have a second screen unit continue recording stereo sound while the main camera unit is disconnected.. otherwise, near perfect! no issues with overheating so far.. battery life could be better though
Dopo aver provato la DJI Pocket 2 (mini videocamera con gimbal incorporato, un piccolo gioiello!), approfittando in offerta di Amazon, ho voluto sperimentare questo secondo piccolo gioiello tecnologico di casa DJI. Ancora pi compatta della Pocket 2, la DJI Action 2 sicuramente pi adatta per riprese “action” (grazie alle dimensioni ridotte e allo steady digitale Rocksteady 2.0+HorizonSteady), offrendo al contempo la possibilit di un utilizzo classico per catturare filmati memorabili dal quotidiano allo spettacolare, anche in condizioni difficili. Registra filmati straordinariamente fluidi con dettagli ultra ricchi che si distinguono da ogni cosa. DJI Action 2 cattura video fino a 4K/120 fps, il nuovo standard per i contenuti d’lite. La possibilit di separare i due blocchi con schermo touch OLED, rende questa videocamera ancora pi comoda e versatile della Osmo o della Pocket 2. Un consiglio: al primo utilizzo, prima di avviarla con l’applicazione DJI Mimo e scaricare eventuali firmware, provvedete ad effettuare una carica completa dei due dispositivi. In questa fase si pu sviluppare una parente surriscaldamento della scocca esterna, dovuta probabilmente all’avvio del microprocessore. Lasciandola in carica senza accenderla, questo effetto cessa dopo una mezz’ora: a carica effettuata, si pu procedere quindi a collegamento con l’applicazione, come da istruzioni di avvio. Seguendo i vari tutorial per sfruttarne appieno le potenzialit video, potete portare sempre con voi questo piccolo gioiellino.

Wehe aber, es handelt sich um ein Android-Gert. DJI hat sich offenbar mit Google (Play-Store) verkracht. Es stehen keine aktuellen Apps fr Download zur Verfgung. Es geht schon los mit der DJI-MIMO-App die man bentigt, um ein neues DJI-Gert zu aktivieren. Anstelle dieser App muss man ber die DJI-Website ber eine unklare Auswahl eine APK-Datei downloaden um diese dann zur App zu wandeln. Irgendwie erinnert mich das an die US-Blockade fr Huawei.
Generell wohl ein Zeichen eines bertriebenen Kontroll-Bedrfnisses des chinesischen Herstellers. Obwohl es nicht um weitere Rechnungsstellungen geht, wird kategorisch eine Account-Einrichtung verlangt. Sollte bei diesem Procedere etwas schieflaufen und sollte man auf die Idee kommen, sich darber hinwegsetzen zu knnen, hat man noch 3 Versuche frei ansonsten ist die Kamera voll gesperrt. Das wre dann der Moment, die Kamera zum Hersteller einsenden zu mssen um diese wieder frei zu bekommen. Wenn ich z.B. eine Telefon-SIM-Karte nicht freischalte, dann leuchtet mir eine Sperrung gegen Missbrauch ein. Aber in diesem Falle? Eine derartige Bedingung zur Inbetriebnahme meines Eigentums betrachte ich als gesetzeswidrig.
Dass es im Bereich der Android-Handy-Hersteller erhebliche Unterschiede in den Anwendungen und Rechnerleistungen gib, ist bekannt. DJI aber gibt keinerlei Untersttzung oder Hinweise zu schwachen Android-Handys (hier ein Xiaomi Redmi 9). Meine Anmeldung/Registrierung erfolgte mithilfe des iPhone eines Freundes. So kann ich bis heute mit meinem Handy keine DJI-Steuerung untersttzen, keine Updates herunterladen und keine Fotos bernehmen (z.B. fr WhatsApp). Es knnte auch sein, dass mein Xiaomi einfach inkompatibel ist, aber kein Mensch hatte mir zuvor gesagt, dass ich zustzlich auch ein neues iPhone bentigen wrde.
Purtroppo la videocamera quando si registra in 4K, con una temperatura esterna calda, tende a mettersi in protezione dopo pochi minuti di registrazione. Per il resto la qualit delle foto e dei video risulta ottima.

Occorre specificare che non sono un esperto in materia di action cam ma quello che si potrebbe definire un “utente medio” e che tutto ci che seguir sar frutto di una valutazione rispetto al prezzo di acquisto, ovvero 199,99 euro.
Finite le premesse iniziamo
CONFEZIONE
In questo caso non c’ molto da dire la scatola molto semplice, presenta immediatamente la camera e il modulo aggiuntivo per poi presentare tre accessori (attacco magnetico compatibile con gli accessori GoPro, attacco “femmina” per treppiedi e simili insieme ad supporto in silicone riutilizzabile lavandolo e una collana magnetica) ed infine cavo . Per fugare ogni dubbio, si, il magnete abbastanza forte da reggere la camera (per quanto riguarda la “collana” utilizzare la camera senza il modulo aggiuntivo).
CAMERA
Per non rielencare le specifiche tecniche dico solo che presenta un grande difetto di surriscaldamento (in 4K) 2 minuti di registrazione 4K 120fps, circa 6 in 4K 60fps e 10 minuti 4K 30fps prima di spegnersi a causa di esso Risultati nettamente migliori per quanto riguarda la risoluzione 2K, registrando in 60 fps si raggiungono tranquillamente i 15 minuti di registrazione
Le variabili come la temperatura esterna, utilizzo in movimento (bici, sci, etc.) o statico possono far variare la durata della registrazione personalmente non mi sono mai trovato in condizioni di dover registrare mezz’ore di video anche perch per quella necessit occorre utilizzare altri strumenti
Microfoni incorporati molto validi ma in caso di bisogno si pu collegare un microfono esterno con un adattatore venduto separatamente.
Camera impermeabile ma modulo NO.
Obiettivo non sostituibile, quindi occhio a graffi e cadute
MODULO
Il modulo esterno presenta uno schermo aggiuntivo (dipende dalla versione che si acquista) utile per vedere cosa registra la camera quando rivolta verso di noi e svolge il compito di sede di microSD, batteria aggiuntiva (circa un’ora emmezza di registrazione con il modulo attaccato sempre meglio avere un power bank con se per ricaricarla nei momenti di pausa) e hub per collegarla al pc.
CONNETTIVIT
possibile collegarla al telefono tramite l’applicazione ufficiale non perfetta ma comunque accettabile consente di modificare direttamente i video con un semplice editor integrato utile per i meno smanettoni
CONCLUSIONI
Le sue piccole dimensioni le consentono di essere impiegata in qualsiasi situazione stabilizzazione eccelsa con mantenimento dell’orizzonte a 360 gradi, qualit video ottima con obiettivo ultra angolaresi pu mettere tranquillamente in tasca per tirarla fuori in qualsiasi e non perdersi, cosi, nessun attimo.
Al prezzo di 200 euro quasi in obbligo comprarla!

This is best handy camera which we can’t call either action cam neither DSLR but can work as both. Other than heating issue camera works best in various functional modes. Best horizon steady ever seen in such compact device.

Habe keine Erfahrung, was diese Kameras angeht, aber ich bin zufrieden mit dem Teil. Sie wird etwas warm, aber bisher war das kein Problem. Das befestigungkonzept mit den Magneten finde ich wegweisend.

El nico problema es el sobrecalentamiento que sufre, si lo vas a usar en intemperie no tendrs problemas, si lo usaran para interiores el sobrecalentamiento te limitara el tiempo de grabacin. Por estas razones le doy 4 estrellas.
Non inserisco nessun dato tecnico, penso che se vuole ognuno di noi li trova sulla scheda del prodotto. Acquista durante il black fraday ad un ottimo prezzo compreso il guscio protettivo. Io la uso per andare in moto e non solo. Belle foto. I video in 4k, scalda un po e durano poco, eco questo un grosso difetto, anche con il corpo batteria collegato. Praticit, la stacchi in un attimo grazie agli aganci con calmita. Si collega al cellulare tramite la sua app. Anche se io ho avuto qualche problema con la connessione tramite wifi. Risolto modificando la frequenza. Meglio della Gopro? No. Io non possiedo una Gopro, pero amici che la possiedono non hanno problemi con la durata dei video in 4k. Io ho acquistato quella che ha il doppio display. Non l’ho usata al mare, quindi non vi so dire se davvero impermeabile (solo la parte video). La comodit sta nella praticit, questo il suo punto di forza.
Es bedarf vieler Anpassungen, um die Bildqualitt fr Nachtaufnahmen oder Videoaufnahmen richtig einzustellen. Was verstndlich ist, aber aufgrund von Hitze oder der Geschwindigkeit der SD-Karte wird nicht 20-30 Minuten lang kontinuierlich aufgezeichnet.
Die SD-Karte ist nicht das Hauptproblem.
Die Khlung der Kamera selbst ist das Hauptproblem. Nehmen Sie zum Beispiel an, Sie sind im Sommer drauen und mchten Videos in beliebiger Auflsung oder Bildrate aufnehmen.
Die Umgebungstemperatur wird hchstwahrscheinlich Ihre Aufnahme stoppen, selbst wenn die Einstellungen auf hohe Temperaturen abgestimmt wurden.
Ich habe dafr weder eine einzige Lsung eines Drittanbieters noch ein gutes weies Gehuse gesehen, um das Sonnenlicht zu reflektieren.

Wer es in Sachen Actioncam mglichst kompakt mag, kann zur DJI Action 2 greifen: Die modulare Actionkamera besteht aus einem geradezu winzigen (39 39 22,2 Milimeter!), aber dennoch robusten Aluminium-Gehuse. Die Linse aus kratzfestem Gorilla-Glas — wie es etwa auch bei Smartphones zum Einsatz kommt — ist mit einem relativ groen 1/1,7″-Bildsensor ausgestattet und zeichnet Videos mit 4K bei 120 BpS auf.
Durch die extrem geringe Gre findet sie eigentlich berall einen Platz. Dank eines magnetischen Erweiterungssystems kann Zubehr mit einem Handgriff befestigt werden, es gibt zudem einen zustzlichen Bildschirm, der bei Selfies hilft und sich ber diese Schnittstelle verbindet.
Mit einem Sichtfeld von 155 ist die DJI-Kamera weitwinklig genug, um spektakulre Perspektiven zu ermglichen. Interessant ist in diesem Zusammenhang die sogenannte Horizon-Steady-Funktion: Sie hlt auf Wunsch automatisch den Horizont gerade, wodurch Aufnahmen noch einmal wesentlich professioneller wirken. Strze machen ihr kaum etwas aus und unter Wasser hlt sie bis in 10 Meter Tiefe dicht.

Bei einer Auflsung von 2,7K (16:9) 60 FPS keinerlei Temperaturprobleme im Freifall/Gleitflug. Passt an jeden Helm mit GoPro (like) Mount.
Der Weiabgleich knnte etwas besser sein, siehe Kontrast in der Beispielaufnahme.
Ohne Zusatzmodul perfekt fr Kurzvideos, z.B. Skydiving, Basejumping etc. – dafr reicht der interne Speicher absolut aus. Haptisches Feedback beim Einschalten der Kamera, kurzer Signalton bei Start einer Aufnahme. Dies ist angenehm bei einer Helmbefestigung, bei der nicht auf das Display / die LED geachtet werden kann.
Fr diesen Preis und diese Kameragre: absolute Kaufempfehlung!
But it fails tremendously on the heating department. Doesn’t even last for 6 minutes in 4k@30 even at 24 C. It’s also just average in low light conditions.

A parte questa premessa, parto col dire che sono un amante dei prodotti DJI, ho due droni (Una Mavic 3 Cine ed un Mini 3 Pro), una Action CAM OSMO Action, un Ronin SC, un Gimbal Osmo per lo smartphone e da qualche giorno ho anche questa stupenda Action 2!
La confezione davvero completa di tutto il necessario, nel dettaglio:
– DJI Action 2;
– Modulo aggiuntivo con secondo Diaplay;
– Set di ganci magnetici;
– Manuali vari.
La particolarit di questa Action Cam la modularit, che consente di utilizzarla sia in versione Standard che con il secondo display agganciato.
Nel caso si decidesse di utilizzarla “liscia”, va tenuto presente che si potr sfruttare la memoria interna di circa 22 GB (liberi), mentre nel caso di decidesse di agganciare anche il secondo modulo con display aggiuntivo sar possibile memorizzare il tutto su una scheda MicroSD.
Prestate attenzione al tipo di scheda MicroSD perch deve essere Veloce, molto veloce (io ho preso una Sandisk Ultra da 256GB) per riuscire a registrare i video alla massima risoluzione (4K a 120fps) senza problemi o rallentamenti, per cui vi consiglio di utilizzarne una in grado di registrare almeno 80-90 MB/s.
Una volta accesa si percepisce subito la qualit che DJI ripone nei propri articoli, tutto assolutamente perfetto ed esente da difetti con materiali davvero molto belli da vedere e da toccare.
A livello di utilizzo, vista la grande quantit di funzioni necessario guardare un paio di tutorial video (sul sito di DJI ce ne sono parecchi) oppure consultare i piccoli manualetti inseriti nella confezione.
Nel mio caso, vista la buona conoscenza della Osmo Action 1 (che presenta una interfaccia simile) il tutto risultato pi semplice, ma comunque basta prenderci la mano per utilizzarla con una buona disinvoltura.
Tralasciando l’elenco delle funzionalit presenti, mi soffermo sull’ottimo meccanismo di aggancio magnetico (coadiuvato da due ganci meccanici) che semplificano moltissimo l’utilizzo…
La qualit delle immagini decisamente spettacolare, soprattutto con il sistema di stabilizzazione dell’orizzonte che mantiene il video allineato all’orizzonte fino ad inclinazioni di 45.
Personalmente l’ho presa per i giri in moto ed in bicicletta, attratto proprio dalla fnzione di stabilizzazione dell’orizzonte che consente di mantenere il video allineato anche quando si “piega” evitando cos il “mal di mare” durante la visione a casa!
Il sensore da 12 Megapixel ha una ottima resa cromatica, merito anche delle dimensioni di 1/1.7″.
Il collegamento allo smartphone (non obbligatorio) realizzato tramite connessione diretta WIFI e consente di controllare in tutto e per tutto la Action 2 direttamente dal proprio smartphone (anche per la visione di quanto registrato).
Ci sono anche “cose” che non mi sono piaciute, come ad esempio il surriscaldamento generale quanto utilizzata in ambienti chiusi (mentre in attivit all’aperto e in movimento non un problema), l’impossibilit di caricare la batteria del modulo principale senza agganciarla ad un modulo secondario.
In generale davvero uno strumento spettacolare che vale sicuramente tutti i soldi che costa!

This camera has not overheated for me once despite being used during this years heatwave. However it is futted with the magnetic protective case which also acts as a heatsync dissipating the heat away from the camera.
The DJI mimo app works very well and footage transfers to my phone/tablet reasonably quickly.
I need a storage case for it and it would have been nice if ut had come with a lanyard loop, on my picture you can see i have added one made from a piece of paracord (a strand from inside the cord) and then i make sure the ca.era is tied on if im on water.
Bought this in the Prime sale for around 255 and am very happy with my purchase

Did overheat when testing it out indoors, not done that since firmware updates and not getting any overheating. I’ve turned the screen timeout lower and auto shutoff to help in this regard, if I use it in the van (sometimes capture nice views when driving)

I’m on-replaceable batteries. Not a fan of that idea at all, that said I am used to it with phones these days
Limited internal storage, although I’m tending to use it with the screen module attached so not really an issue for me.

Horizon steady is truly remarkable, but not a feature that I need, but if you do then it seems to be the best one out there bar none? (Or can you get it with the max lens mod on go pro, you would have to check).
Ideally the main unit would be able to take an SD card or at least have enough memory to run the lifetime of the battery in the topmost resolution. 64 or 128GB it should be (or sell some sort of small attachment that allows it without the full screen/battery module
Overall for my use, the clip on clip off system works really well for me. There I guess may be add-one for other action cameras that allow that but I haven’t looked.
Image quality is first class except not for night footage particularly, although you can fix the ISO and shutter speeds *I think* in pro mode to help that, sure I saw a YouTube video on it.
I use my iPhone 11 Pro Max when it gets darker – for what I need it’s the better choice.needs a bigger aperture like the DJI pocket 2 to make me choose to use it.
Other negative no replaceable lens but I’m a light user so for me it’s fine, and I have DJI refresh which was about 30, just in case (2/3 replacements with a relatively small payment in the event of needing one)
Will be looking at the tilta cases when they come out. Have the small rig one currently which gives me some peace of mind and includes a neat bag to store it
