Very well made, lightweight and super warm
High quality warm cycling gloves. Don’t be fooled by the lightweight looks and feel as these have 3m insulation that really does help on the winter mornings. I have used mine in -5c and they held up superbly, after a few miles you do start to feel the cold slowly creeping in but most of my journeys are 2 miles or less so they work perfectly for me. The materials used are the highest quality and they have been assembled extremely well, there is no extra bulk and you wouldn’t know there is in fact 3 layers to the gloves. These are purely cycling gloves and they have no cuffs. My new favourite winter cycling gloves.
Sizing slightly off
I bought these for my wife for Christmas as she wanted a pair of waterproof and wind resistant cycling gloves for cycling during the winter for work. I looked at all her gloves which are size small, so I ordered small in these too. I wrapped them up when they arrived (lovely packaging) ready for Christmas. She opened them on Christmas Day only to find they were far too small. I sent these ones back and ordered them in Medium. These have arrived and fit perfectly although she hasn’t gone back to work yet so hasn’t tried them on her bike.
So, it is important to look at the measuring guide as the sizing doesn’t appear to be the same as other gloves 0not very helpful if you are buying them as a surprise for someone!
Good value
Cant comment on durability ive bought them for a Christmas present but I’d be delighted if I recieved them beautifully packaged look really well made I’m sure the recipient will be delighted
Great gloves!
These are great gloves. The medium size was just right for my long and spindly fingers. Nice and soft comfy feel to them. Really like the grip of the gloves on my steering wheel. The touch screen finger works on my phone fine but for me feels clumsy so would probably just take them off for any urgent messages or calls. They even clip together so you can either keep them safe or lose then both depending on your luck. Great gloves!
Amazing packaging and excellent gloves
Packaging was amazing, bought xl size and fit perfectly, have kept my hands warm during whilst riding. Highly recommend both the seller and the product, will definitely use the seller agai
Nice pair of gloves but the fingers could be a bit longe
These cycling gloves are nicely made with a soft lining and soft-shell outer material. The back of the hand has a reflective design and the gloves are fastened around the wrist using a strap with velcro fastening.
The palms have a silicon pattern as do three fingers. The index finger and thumb have pads that allow you to use touch screen devices such as phones and tablets.
I have large hands and normally take XL sized gloves. The fit is fine for the main part of my hand but the fingers are about 10mm too short.
The gloves comes in a nice box that would make them ideal as a gift.
Warm comfortable bicycle gloves
DOXOS Cycling Gloves for Men & Women | Ultimate Winter Gloves with Touch Screen Compatibility | Water Resistant & Wind Proof Thermal Gloves for Men with 3M Insulation | Black Winter Cycling Gloves
Arrived well packaged and nicely presented in a gift box. Very comfortable gloves. Good quality thermal material. Nice secure velco straps around the wrists. Nice and warm insulation. Touch Screen fingers. Water Resistant material making them ideal for outdoor activities. Good quality product. Definitely recommend.
Smaller than expected
Conclusion (read review for details) : Go up a size & only use your index finger on your devices and you’ll love these gloves.
I will start by saying that the packaging took me by surprise. These gloves are packaged like premium gloves. The box itself is has magnets which I’ve always liked.
Anyway, this is not about the packaging, but great job to the brand for doing that. Great touch.
I’ve only wore them once on a run last night. They felt really tight. Mind you, I got the S as I normally wear S gloves but these felt really tight , to the point of limiting my dexterity.
They have kept my hands warm but not too warm. Just perfect. Considering there were about 5degrees outside and that I normally have cold hands, I would say the insulation & breathability is fantastic.
With regards to the touch areas. They do work…but there is room for improvement. The Index finger is great , does the job well and the area covered by the material that is screen friendly, is spot on. The Thumb is a different story.
The stiching on it is a bit off. This means that the glove is rigid around your thumb tip. The area that is screen touch friendly is also not the best. If you have noticed, we never really use our thumb pad to operate our phones. We use the inner side instead , I could say even sideways. This is where the problem is. The stiching , which is quite rigid on the thumb, is on the edges. This means that when you use your thumb on your phone, you’re actually making contact with the screen via the stitch. But the stitch is not touch screen friendly so no contact is registered.
The area that is touch screen friendly covers the entire pad of the thumb which is no problem on any other finger except the thumb.
Anyway, long story short : don’t expect to use your thumb to operate your devices unless you rotate your thumb in a non-organic position.
Apart from that & the size problem, the gloves are fantastic. Materials feel high quality.
I couldn’t get in touch with the seller to ask if it’s at all possible to swap them for an M as there’s no information on the packaging about contacting them and the website on the box “dodos.co.uk” is flagged as being non-secure and my apple laptop suggests I don’t access it cause it’s dodgy.
Snug-fitting short-length cycling gloves in a nice giftable box
This pair of cycling gloves comes in an unexpectedly smart presentation box – which is a nice touch if you’re planning on gifting these, but is probably overkill packaging if you aren’t. It sets a nice tone to the product though, so kudos for that.
The gloves are stated as ‘for Men & Women’ which is always a bit tricky for choosing sizes, as a Men’s Large in gloves is not always going to tally to a Women’s Large. As a 6ft male but with slightly smaller sized hands, I gambled on the Medium. They are fairly tight fit, but workable. I would probably have favoured a slightly longer overall design that reaches the wrists a bit better, but overall the length is ok.
I do have a few gripes with them, which I will detail below:
Personally, I don’t really see the point in the clips that you can join them together with. I have always found I just separate them and never join them together again – so the flappy little clips are superfluous to me.
Another superfluous detail is the large and unnecessary white 3M label sticking out of the side of the right-hand glove. What purpose does this label serve exactly?
Then there is the velcro fastener. The top part is fine, but the way the bottom part is attached to the hilt of the glove has resulted in raised edges which you inadvertently pull on when you’re grabbing the top panel of velcro, so after a time and repeated pulls on the bottom section, you’re going to end up weakening this panel and it will inevitably lift. I’d have rather seen them integrate the velcro into the glove fabric a bit better to help longevity.
The warmth of the gloves is ok. I cycle everyday and it has been getting colder lately. My fingertips are usually pretty cold after a 15 minute commute in 4 degree temperatures, so these gloves aren’t impervious in that regard – although my palms and back of hand are adequately insulated.
The touchscreen compatibility works ok, I only occasionally need to stab at my phone screen when it’s mounted on my bike handlebars, and these gloves allow me that level of interaction ok.
For a price of c. 14 (at time of review) that feels ok for what you’re getting. I do think I might prefer a slightly longer glove design but I do appreciate the design effort that has gone into this product and it would make a nice gift owing to how it has been presented.
Warm
I can’t vouch for how effective they are in the rain yet, but these are definitely thermal. I was surprised at how warm they was because they are very thin and lightweight but they kept my hands warm riding a bike for a hour in 5 degrees. Definitely worth the money.
Good quality budget gloves
The gloves are packaged in a nice gift box, making them look like a premium product. They are comfortable to wear providing good palm grip for handle bars and a strap at the wrist to tighten. The shell material Is soft and durable, with a soft warm inner. As you would hope for sports gloves they are not overally thick but provide protection and warmth from the elements. Touch screen fingers work well. These are good value gloves for the price. I ordered a size L which were snug on me and I usualy wear a M.
Good and necessary winter gloves
These gloves are good quality and comfortable to wear. The material seems to be of good quality, it is pleasant in contact with the skin. Once you put them on you can feel the 3M protection, they provide good insulation from the outside temperature. At this time of the year it is appreciated, and above all that they protect us from the rain because it is very unpleasant to be hours with wet hands.
On the palm there are small silicone stickers to improve the grip. Although they do their job they don’t have much relief so I don’t know how long they will last.
The size fits well. In the images you can see the different dimensions for a size S. Although if you don’t like the fit, it might be better to go up a size, with the risk of them loosening up over time. There is velcro on the wrist for a better fit, giving more flexibility for different wrist sizes.
Cycling Gloves
Beautiful packed cycling gloves very nicely designed they fit beautifully I ordered size S and they fit perfectly.
The gloves are comfortable and have good grip I got caught in the rain and I have to say they are completely waterproof and provide good grip while cycling. Very happy with the product.
warm, comfortable thermal bike gloves
I got these bike gloves from my husband as I ride my bike to work and for wintertime I needed something warmer than my summer bike gloves. These thermal gloves are ideal for me as they are wind and waterproof. The size S fits me perfectly and I found them very comfortable. The gloves came in a nicely presented box, but I recycled it immediately.
I appreciate the velcro strap around my wrist as it feels more secure. These gloves have a nice feel, easy to put on and remove. I can use them on my mobile’s touch screen. The gloves look nice with the anti-slip silicon pattern on the palms and with its reflective design. They are of good quality, especially knowing how inexpensive they were. Because of the connection buckles, I don’t have to worry about losing them. I highly recommend these gloves.
A bit tight fitting
Got these gloves for husband who drives car now more than me so he will need them more often during winter. Even if these gloves sre designed for biking, they are suitable also for car driving. They have grippy palm which is essential when holding string wheel and changing a gear. Being water resistant is also good as sometimes he will need to remove snow from cars roof or so. Gloves are good quality so far but only time will tell how long they will last.
These gloves are phone friendly but obviously not when driving..
Oh, one more thing, the sizing is a bit on small side. We ordered usual XL and they feel like small L more likely. Good thing is the plastic buckle to hold the gloves together when not in use. This will keep them safe.
Fi
Exquisite gift box packaging.
Well made and soft lining for comfort.
The silicone design on the palm is not obvious enough, it is too flat, it can be more abrupt to increase the friction between the glove and the bicycle handle.
Just the right size. The function of the small leather on the finger is to provide touch screen function, but the response of this leather on the mobile phone screen is not very sensitive.
Very tight fit, not keen on split in glove near wris
You certainly can’t complain about how these gloves are packaged, very beautiful and made to look like you are buying quality.
They are really well made gloves but in my opinion are let down by a few design flaws.
Firstly I really don’t like the split in the glove near the wrist. Clearly designed to make them easier to get on but it leaves a gape where wind and rain can penetrate as seen in the picture it’s quite big.
Secondly I purchased an XL size and they are really tight, this isn’t a problem as with wear they will loosen but initially they feel too small.
As said they are well made, good stitching throughout and decent Velcro across the wrist. I wear them for commuting to work on my bike so love the high visibility stripes across the tops of the gloves.
You get the usual finger pads so you can still activate your phone while wearing them and the palms have a nice rubber pad for great grip ability on my handlebars.
Highly recommend.
Nice toasty 3M sporty gloves
Need some cycling gloves? Some thick grippy ones?
These are the DOXOS Cycling Water Resistant Windproof 3M Thermal Winter Warm Gloves With Touchscreen Finger Tips And Silicone Palms, In Black And Sizes S to XL.
The gloves are a thick fleece sharkskin material, with reflective knuckles, silicone gripped, velcro wrist cuffs and thumb / forefinger smart touch screen tips. The gloves are comfortable, grippy and very very warm! I like the wrist velcro, very handy.
Overall I’d recommend these gloves if you are looking for a very warm glove with a grippy palm, as that is a great feature especially for cycling / dog walking.
Nice gloves.
Now I’m cycling to work permanently I needed new gloves that can handle the cold wet winters.
A week in and these have been a big improvement on the standard gloves I have been wearing. I’ve had some light showers and cold mornings and have found these have been good enough so far. Though they don’t claim to be waterproof, they have coped in the showers I’ve cycled in so far, so the resistance to water is there. They have a nice quality look and feel to them and aren’t overly bulky.
These come in such a nice box, you could easily gift them. I ordered a medium and they were a nice snug fit on my lady hands, but if your hands are genera;lay on the bigger size, I’d definatly go for a large.
Beautifully boxed and presented, ideal gift. Great biker gloves.
Blown away by these bike gloves I got for my son.
Presented in a gift box and wrapped way, they’re ideal for a gift this Christmas.
My Son has worn them in the cold rainy weather UK weather over the last couple of days with no issues. Stayed warm and dry in them. They’re made of good quality material and 3M insulation.
They look stylish and attractive to the eye.
Well packaged and well priced.
Good quality and worth the money. Ideal gift this Christmas.
Fairly standard neoprene touchscreen friendly gloves, presented really well.
Before we begin, I got this item at zero cost through the Vine programme, that doesn’t mean it gets a positive review though. User reviews are important, they’re genuinely useful to buyers and we should use them, so here comes an honest and hopefully helpful one.
In the box …
… you get the gloves in a really nice box and wrapping paper.
Build quality …
… is good. The gloves are a snug fit, but I dislike cumbersome gloves, they reduce feel and dexterity. The stitching is precise. The thinsulate lining retains heat well. The hook-and-loop wrist bands provide a firm base on the wrists. In fact the only place I was concerned about the strength of the stitching was on these hook-and-loop wrist straps. It’s so strong that I hope the stitching holds over time.
The touchscreen thumbs and index fingers works well.
In use …
… they’re perfectly fine and work well as cycling gloves, although there is no extra padding on the palms for cushioning when leaning on handlebars. They’re fairly well sized and the fingers are long enough for average hands, but I don’t have long slender fingers. I have larger palms and slightly stubby fingers being the ape I am, so pianists beware, long fingers might struggle in these.
Overall impressions …
… are that they are nice gloves and work well, but they are a fairly standard pair of neoprene gloves, a good standard, but fairly standard nonetheless. They are presented extremely well though and that lends an air of premium look to the unboxing experience. If you’re buying them as a gift for someone, they are impressive on initial impressions.
Presented very well.
Warmer than some without being bulky to wear..
Quite well made.
Reasonably inexpensive for a gift.
And the big question, would I buy it? …
… for a gift I would. They have a slight air of premium about them given the presentation.
Wow!
The attention to detail on everything about these gloves is great. Everything from the packaging to the gloves is lovely. I ordered a size L and although it feels a bit tighter but it’s still wearable and comfortable. It had 3m insulation and you don’t feel a bit of cold when out and about. This is one of the best gloves I have seen. Deserves to be the best seller.
Oh Dear!
Brilliantly packaged and presented But..I ordered the large ones thinking that most Chinese products are pretty small..So is the large, I have smallish hands for a man, but these only just fit, probably a bit too tight really!
So be aware of this problem when purchasing, please!
Nice gloves, warm, well presented, but size up small
These are lovely gloves, seemingly well-made, and beautifully packaged in a gift box that would make them a nice present. But be aware, they size up small. Every pair of cycling gloves I’ve ever had have been large – I ordered large in these and they’re too small, I would have needed XL. So my partner has now got a new pair of cycling gloves, and she’s well pleased. Bottom line – these are nice but order one size up from your usual.
WOW! Excellent gloves! So well made! Comfy & warm! 🐰
I’ve got to say how impressed I am with these gloves. Every so often I get an item from Amazon that surpasses my expectations and these gloves do that! The presentation box they arrive in is lovely and adds a quality look to the item as a whole; It’s even got a ‘magnetic’ locking latch on it. Lovely!
They’re extremely well stitched and have their ‘velcro’ system at the wrist part of the gloves which is excellent. The fabric is water repellent Spandex which definitely offers high levels of water resistency. You can actually see the water ‘pool’ on the surface of the glove and then run off! The ‘3M’ Thinsulate insulation stops all wind from reaching your skin and the thermal, polar fleece lining offers great levels of heat retention and warmth, they’re very good!
The suede on the tip of your main finger and on each thumb is a brilliant addition, allowing you to use your touch screen device and they even work well when your out in the rain.
The ‘anti-slip’ gel on the palms of the hands provide excellent grip and for my purpose, they grip my cars steering wheel safely and offer me a confidence that I just haven’t had with gloves of a similar nature.
The knuckle area of the glove has some reflective designs tastefully placed to add a stylish look but more importantly offer the wearer extra noticeability when out on a dark evening as car lights illuminate them.
I always buy large size gloves and these are a large size. They fit me snugly as I’d hoped. I don’t consider myself to have fat fingers or chunky hands but if you have then I’d go for the XL version. For a woman who wants a nice snug fit, I’d suggest a size medium possibly. You decide though.
For this price they are a massive bargain, I don’t know how the manufacturer can sell them at this price and make a profit but they obviously do. I’ve already bought two more pairs and intend to give them to family members as Christmas presents as they’re just brilliant, I highly recommend them!
Fantastic value winter cycling gloves
These are good quality cycling gloves at a reasonable price. Windproof and lined with Thinsulate, they really keep your hands warm on the bars in cold weather. I tested them at 8 degrees celsius with a bitter North wind blowing and they were very effective.
The index finger and thumb of each glove is tipped with a material that allows you to use touch screen devices. This really does work – you can even type text! They are hydrophobic which means water droplets just bead off. Not sure how they’d cope with a consistent downpour but fully waterproof gloves are another proposition and not nearly so breathable in my experience.
Reflective detailing on the backs of the gloves and grippy stuff on the palms complete the package.
Really nice presentation box too, would make a great gift for the cyclist in your life. Recommended.
Size up
These come nicely packaged and would make a good Christmas gift. They look more expensive than the RRP of 12.99.
My husband doesn’t have particularly big hands but I ordered the large and they were quite a tight fit, so I would recommend sizing up.
My husband cycles in all weathers so these are good for use in autumn/winter as they are waterproof and have 3M Thinsulate Insulation. You can also use a touch screen whilst wearing them.
My husband is pleased with them he just wishes I had ordered him the XL!
Great value gloves but not perfec
Really nicely presented cycling gloves. Lots of positives as I like the way they fit snuggly. The velcro cuff to ensure it is secure is great but I’m not sure the stitching will last more than one winter season.
The toggle to clip them together is great. The touchscreen finger pads work nicely. Palms are nice and grippy. Water bounces off the main sections of the gloves but I’ve found that they aren’t fully waterproof as water can seep in at the seams.
However, they are comfortable, windproof and warm and for the price amazing value which I’m happy to recommend as for the most part they perform brilliantly.
