I purchased a new Galaxy S23plus. There is no 3.5mm plug in for headphones. This corrected that and you can still charge at the same time.

I needed a 3.5 mm plug adapter to my Samsung S22. This one had good reviews for sound quality, so I chose it. Build quality is good, solid mechanics and nice cable. And like previous reviews said, flawless sound quality. I have been using this with both large headphones and connecting to stereos, and there are no issues with sound with or without charging the phone at the same time. And the led is not too bright at all! I can recommend this one, and luckily I ordered several at the same time.

Have tried this adapter with the iPad Pro 2020, 2021, 2022 and the iPad Mini 6 and it’s great with all of them.

I personally find this design to be better than the usual two cable splitter types. Usually, you have a cable that is USB C on one end and it splits out to two separate cables, one 3.5mm female socket for the headphones and one USB C input for charging. These cables are great and do work. However, these types of cables are great for when you are at home, maybe at a desk and you need your power connected but when you are on the go, the second cable for the power is always flapping about because it’s not being used.

This adapter is much neater because it’s basically a straight, single pass through type cable. So when you are indoors at a table etc. You can have your headphones connected and you can connect your charging cable to the USB C input on the side. However, when you are out and about on headphones, you don’t have that second cable flapping about and snagging on stuff.

Great design and really neat and tidy.

I think this is a very good adapter. I like the sleek design and the fact that both ends are encased in aluminium. But most importantly, the audio sounds great. These adapters convert the audio from digital to analogue, so you want the converter to be good or the sound won’t be good. I tried it with some decent headphones (Oppo PM-3) and I’m very happy with the sound. Also, I can’t hear any charger noise when I have it plugged in at the same time.

Many – and soon most – Android mobile phones don’t have a headphone socket (a 3.5mm jack), only having a USB C port, meaning that you can only listen to your phone through Bluetooth headphones.

This adapter is a solution to that problem. If only more people on my bus and train had these adapters, it would probably be a lot quieter!

The device is solidly made, it looks attractive, it feels strong and quite weighty for its size, and most important, it works well. It was tested with a Google Pixel 6a, but will almost certainly work with your phone if it has a USB C socket.

I can recommend this if you’re looking for a quality 3.5mm-USB C adapter, and it gets 5 stars from me.

This is a fantastic easy to use little adapter. I upgraded my old Samsung phone a while ago and got an S22, much to my dismay I discovered when I got it home that it no longer has a headphone socket. It seems that all phones are going this way where you have to use BlueTooth headphones as the only option.

I have several sets of wireless headphones and a couple of them I quite like but I also have a pair of wired earbuds that I’ve had for ages and are great for quickly plugging in to my phone for making calls handsfree whilst wandering around the house or out on a walk. The wireless ones don’t seem to be as good, particularly as they lack the little microphone that hangs or clips to a better location for picking up your voice. I don’t want to wander around with headphones in and my phone up to my mouth!

This simple adapter plugs straight in to your USB-C charge port and then you can plug in your usual 3.5mm headphones into the socket at the bottom. There’s also a handy USB-C plug on the side so you don’t lose the functionality of the USB port on your phone whilst using your headphones and can plug your charger or a data cable in whilst still connected to your wired headphones.

I also use certain things from my phone for music recording or playback and find the wired headphone aux to be a much easier and workable option rather than tying to use BlueTooth.

The adapter is sturdy, solid and has well made braided style cabling and quality materials in the connector elements. I use it every day and am delighted with it.

I’ve been using this device with SoundMagic E80 earphones; I’m impressed by the sound reproduction for the money. I’ve tried adapter with and a couple of phones and a PC, where it installed automatically no need to install drivers. I used this Audio Adapter to listen to my favourite artist, Midge Ure; whose music I am very familiar with, it happily drove my Oppo headphones too.

I tested it charging two phones, which it did without any issues. It is a really useful adapter to have if you are on the move.

I’m impressed, a really useful gadget with respectable sound quality

We use various types of headphones from AirPods Max, AirPods Pro 1st and 2nd generation, Bose in ear noise cancelling headphones and Bose quiet comfort 35 headphones.
Where possible we use Bluetooth to connect.
For our Bose headphones and AirPods Max, I use the cable when the battery is low to connect to laptops, iPads or phones.
When doing this I also wanted to be able to charge our devices when necessary.
With this adapter I’m able to listen to my audio and charge through the charge point on the adapter which is USB C.
There’s been no loss of audio quality when I used it on my iPad, but I did have to use the buttons on the side to adjust the volume. My iPad charged at the same speed as before.
I’m happy with this, it’s useful to have and is compact. You could easily fit in your pocket.
The USB C end of the adapter comes with a plastic protective cover on to prevent dust and debris from getting in.

I have the need for a few of these devices, and this one was specifically for connecting to my Pico4 VR headset. However, for the sake of testing I have also tried this on my Pixel 6 as that is very picky which adapters work with it. The good news is that this adapter work perfectly both on my Pixel 6 and also the Pico4 not only allowing audio to work, but also to continue to charge whilst in operation. On the Pico4 I have used a short right-angle extension lead to allow connectivity behind the head. Having the 3.5mm audio and USB-c charging socket in one package make keeping the cables tidy much easier.

Listen to audio via 3.5mm whilst keeping the charge topped up.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have tried three different types to head phone jack connectors and this is the only one that works without shorting out and there’s never a bad connection it stays in place and is tough as I use it at the gym. It’s durable and it works perfectly.

These adapters are really good as a lot of modern smartphones are dropping the 3.5mm audio jack.

I’ve tried ones before that worked perfectly fine but I never liked that it became a choice of music OR charging.

This adapter allows you to charge as well, which is great. I got to quick charge on my Poco M4 Pro (not Turbo charge but only the original adapter and cable seem to trigger that).

The adapter is well built and music sounds really good through it.

    Great product.

The adapter is very solid and well made.
The chassis is metal, small and well finished, and the jack input solid with no wobble and a metal ring.
Also, the short cable is braided with robust plastic guards at both extremities, so it shuld be quite durable.
The power connector is metallic with no wobble.

I tested this with AKG headphones, which I use for music production and listening, so good enough to judge sound quality hopefully, and also on external studio speakers via a cable.
On mobile phone (pixel 6) the results were quite good.
No noise at all and very nice frequencies, definitely good for listening and verging on hi-fi.
The phone charged fine and the dongle was recognized without issues.

Curiously, when testing with my dell laptop sound quality was not quite as good, quite muted. I am not quite sure about the reason, I do not remember dramatic differences between mobile and laptop with other dongles I tried in the past.

However, this device is explicitly retailed for use with mobile phones, and with my phone it works very well. It is also affordable at 12 it costs now.
So I am still giving it 5 stars.

Recommended for use with mobiles but not with computers.

Got hold of this item alongside some cheaper straightforward adapters and the musical soundscape through my Sennheiser in-ears was chalk and cheese across low mid and high end. Reassuring metallic case and good all round feel adds to the premium feel too.

It’s a significant thumbs up from me. And I’m a right fussy bugger when it comes to music quality/appreciation.

Resilience over time to be seen.

Now that companies such ad Samsung have jettisoned the 3.5mm jack hole for headphones I still need to occasionally plug in wired buds, hence this handy device. I like the extra USBC hole to enable a charger to be plugged in.

    It’s excellent – recommended.

I have other USB-C to 3.5mm audio-jack dongles but the FIBBR 2-in-1 is the only one which has a PD 60W charging port to fast charge your phone at the same time as listening to music.

Unfortunately I could not get the FIBBR to fast charge my Samsung S20 FE.
Using the original Samsung charging block and cable plugged directly into the phone, “Fast Charging: 19 minutes before full charge” was shown on the screen..
With the FIBBR in the chain, “Charging: 32 minutes before full charge” was shown on the screen.
No headphones were plugged in and all apps were closed when the charging times were taken.

The FIBBR looks good and feels well made with an aluminium shell, braided cable and stress relief at the cable ends.

The FIBBR gives no indication of what bit depth and sample rate it supports which if you ask me is a naughty omission.
I have a Samsung DAC dongle that supports up to 24bit/192kHz output which sounds pretty good and will go loud enough with most of my headphones. –
Using Philips Fidelio X1 headphones it did not take me long swapping the dongles on various music tracks before I could say that the FIBBR sounds quite a bit better (to me) than the Samsung. Bass had more depth and punch, treble exhibited more detail, soundstage was wider and imaging was spot on, I was quite impressed.
The FIBBR is also definitely louder than the Samsung, I had to turn the volume down each time I switched over to it.

The price at the time of review was 14.99 or 13.49 with voucher which I consider good for a DAC that provides the ability to charge the phone while listening to good quality audio. I’m not too concerned that my phone will not fast charge via this device the quality of the audio is far more important to me and for this reason I give it 5 stars.

Great sound to this audio DAC

My media player — Sony’s Music Centre – does show an alert about not being able to hear notifications, alarms or calls when I connect it. It’s very useful being able to charge my phone simultaneously. Overall, a very good quality cable with good connections

I had this adapter delivered yesterday and after using it on a couple of devices for testing, all I can say is, WOW, it delivers in spades.

Previously I’d another brand of USB Audio Adapter that whilst wasn’t that expensive, wasn’t cheap either, granted it didn’t provide charging either but it was a real disappointment. It worked fine but, as seems to be the case with a lot of these cables, there was an element of “hiss” all the way through the music that was played so wasn’t ideal. This cable was connected to some V-MODA Headphones so weren’t cheap either and did indicate the issue was the cable.

The company that make this cable, if you take a look on the internet, seem to have a good reputation for producing quality audio products and similar and, from my own experience, this reputation is spot on.

I haven’t a clue what audio chip is used in this cable but the sound output from it is way better than the cable I used previously, there is no hiss and sounds great through my V-MODA headphones.

People will say, you don’t need one of these cables if you have Bluetooth headphones and yes they would be correct however not all bluetooth headphones have the same quality of wired headphones or support the necessary bluetooth protocols your device may output but it’s all down to personal preference at the end of the day.

This cable also has the ability to fast charge your phone / device if you connect a USB-C charger to it so you don’t lose out in this respect either.

This product is currently on sale for 14.99 with a 10% off voucher. Would I purchase it? No hesitation.

I got this as a replacement as my last adapter stopped working.

This is a great accessory. It means I can carry on listening to things while charging my devices. I know I could use wireless headphones but my favourite Marshalls are wired and work perfectly fine with an adapter.

This is particularly useful when I’m out and need to connect my power bank while using wired headphones.

I can confirm that this adaptor supports fast charging but not super fast charging as stated. And when headphones are connected the sound quality isn’t affected but I mainly listen to audiobooks, so can’t comment on sound quality based on music. I’ve been using this adaptor for just over a week on and off and have had no major issues.

One thing that it doesn’t seem to support is allowing you to use the inbuilt controls on my headphones so I need to use my device to take calls or change the volume.

    Highly recommend!

A very handy adapter to have!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBut it definitely doesn’t sound like a bog standard one. I typically use the one that comes with the phones and I don’t use iPhone or any of those top end phones so I probably don’t have the the greatest chip in mine. I do use a couple of other cheap ones when I’m not too fussed whether it sounds good or not.
Can’t say for absolutely certain, but I’m pretty sure the volume is boosted from usual and the sound is a bit fuller and brighter. I typically like to use the GuideRay GR-i18, not exactly a popular set but I like the overall not too harsh tones. And mainly cause they’re the middle of the road IEMs so if I go out I’m not taking the TFZ Live 3 or the TRI Starsea. Both of which I prefer the sound of. Anyway, the GRi18 are usually a little weird sounding, but it does seem to be improved here using the FIBBR. Maybe I just don’t use them enough to be able to truly tell but considering I’ve been used to BT and ANC headphones lately, maybe my perspective is skewed a little. But in my opinion there’s definitely a little bit more bite to things that usually lack it through the FIBBER USB C to 3.5 2-in-1.

Now, couldn’t you just enjoy saving 10? Sure.. you could just go on the cheaper end but then you’d be missing the 2-in-1 features generally. And well.. we all know phone companies made a big booboo by just having a 1-in-2 feature. One day they might rectify this for those of us who like to use direct in instead of BT. Music does sound better..

So how does the 2-in-1 feature work out here? Well.. I plugged the 3.5 in first and then plugged it into my phone. Didn’t seem to recognise I had a 3.5 in and just started charging it while playing sound through the phone speakers. So I tried it the other way around. Charging in first, then the 3.5. Still plays up. Pauses the music so you have to restart it. Not sure why it does it.
If you plug the charging cable in first, the play music it will keep it playing through the 3.5mm. But not the other way.. Not sure why. Maybe the chip isn’t so ‘smart’.

So I’ll lay this out so it makes more sense:

If you have the charging cable plugged in, then plug the USB C into the phone while playing music, it will continue to play music. – if you then try to put the 3.5mm in while it’s playing, it will not switch over to the 3.5mm jack and continue to play through the phone speaker.

If you have the 3.5mm plugged into the FIBBR then plug it into the USB C slot on your phone, it will switch over like any normal USB C to 3.5 does. – if you then plug in the charging cable while it is playing music, it will stop the music for some reason.

Every other way of plugging it in worked like normal and had no issues but those two are where I had issues. A little strange if you’re listening to music but then need to charge. A minor annoyance but some what of an oversight.

It does QC while listening to music, although you will be using the battery at the same time as charging it so don’t expect the usual speeds. Same as if you’re using your phone as a SatNav while you’re driving. You need QC, but it’s not going to be usually speeds. (Better than USB 2.0 that just can’t keep up at all though)

So at 14.99, is it worth it? Just for having what seems to be, in my opinion, a good sounding chip in there and the ability to charge AND listen to music. Yes.. It’s well built, cable feels nice. Everything feels like you’re paying for a product here, not just a quick buck for the brand.
Not much more to say than that!
