I am a Fitbit fan. This Fitbit is a replacement for my first one that lasted for about 5 years. The luxe Fitbit is very slim and neat looking on my wrist. It has a much longer battery life than my first Fitbit. I use it not just for knowing the time, but for measuring my steps on a daily basis, indicating when messages and calls have reached my phone, and monitoring my sleep. I highly recommend this model. I had to replace the strap on my previous Fitbit a few times and expect I will have to do so with this one but that is not a problem. The straps are easy to buy and to fit onto the Fitbi
It’s amazeballs and gets me up off my lazy ass
The design, used to track my steps and vital sighs. Looks good day or night.
he mobile app isn’t the best and can be quite confusing at times, there isn’t a lot of explanation. however the watch itself is very good, the screen size is perfect as it doesn’t get in the way of daily tasks and is very comfy. the screen is easy to read and very responsive! the battery is the best part, it lasts for ages without having to charge and maintains this without battery ageing.
Great fit for my very small wrist, easy to clip onto charging plug, better clearer display than my last Fitbi
I especially like the buzz feature reminding me to get up and move about as I work at a computer all day and it’s easy to let time slip by. Also I have a very small wrist and was a bit worried about it looking too large but it’s perfect. Really happy with this purchase and the app which is great, it emails each week with your stats. A great motivator to get moving more. Would thoroughly recommend
Had this this gifted to me over a year ago and I absolutely love it. Great battery life, app has a very friendly UI and it gives me all the data that I need. It’s hard to say the accuracy of the data though as I have nothing to compare it too.
It is okay, but not perfect.
Best thing is how the app uses the data from it to give you usefull info about your training and your health.
Worst thing is the display brightness. I do Parkrun (a weekly 5k race,) and although I started the ‘run timing’ at the start, I was unable to stop it at the end because the sun had come out and I couldn’t make out the display. I had to find some shade to stop the timing, there is no physical button so you have to use the touch screen.
Also the heart rate measurement was quite random for the first day or so but settled down after that. I assume that it either calibrates itself, or I learned the best way to wear it.
Got this for my son’s birthday. His previous Fitbit gave up the ghost (after years of mistreatment it should be said, not the fault of the item) and he asked for another one as his birthday present. Really likes it.
I usually like to wear my watches on the inside of my left wrist. After receiving the Fitbit luxe I put it on the same way, just as my previous Fitbit inspire 2 (which had not this problem). Now, the luxe did not read my heart rate at all, which made me contact Fitbit for help but they had no information whether the heart rate sensor was damaged or not (as the light worked), I was meant to monitor the watch for a few days.
But obviously I wanted it to work so I kept looking online for what the problem could be.
A website said some watches can’t read heart rate if the watch sits on a tattoo, which I have on the inside of my wrist. So I turned the watch and literally immediately the heart rate sensor started working with no problem whatsoever.
I have tattoos on both of my inner wrists so I can’t even swap hands, but given I like it better than my previous watch I decided to just wear it like a normal human being and so far so good.
Just watch out in case you have tattoos all around your wrist. Especially if you have it on both. It’s highly likely it won’t work for heart rate monitoring.
