I have always loved ghd, they give completely professional hair styles everyday. I really wanted a tong & i knew ghd would be the best I could afford & Dyson doesn’t appeal to me yet. These tongs are excellent really worth spoiling yourself for. I love them

Bought last year and its faulty already its not heating up properly and keeps going off while
I am doing clients hair. I noticed there is a 2 year warranty on it so does that mean i can have a new one?

Excellent curls
I have used many hair curlers in the past, and before using these had been using hair straightners to curl hair. These are super easy to use and produce a lovely curl that actually stays in. Previously I had thought that there was no point buying expensive hair curlers as the heat and the technique does the work, but I can honestly say that these curlers produce a much nicer and longer-lasting curl than any I have used before. Recommend.

Brilliant, just brilliant!! I know they aren’t cheap but they are worth the money in the time you save on waiting to heat up and how quickly they curl. They feel good quality and are a nice weight, not to heavy and not so light that they feel cheap, good investment tongs.

Fab Tongs - Heat up super quick
I really love these tongs. They heat up so quickly, so there’s no hanging around waiting to use them. The lead is also super long which is always handy. What I will say is that with all heat appliances, I would expect some kind of case or protection to come with it. There isn’t any. Which I’m actually quite surprised at given it’s GHD. You need a glove too, which also isn’t provided. I think it’s quite tricky to curl your hair without the fear of burning your hand. Luckily I had one from a different brand, but I would have struggled without one. Overall though a fantastic product.
Great results with practice
Firstly I suggest using a protective spray when using the curl tong as it does get incredibly hot during use. With that said they are fantastic and with a bit of practice can produce amazing results. The build quialty feels a little cheap for GHD hence the 4 stars

My wife loves this, the box / packaging hinting as a quality item inside and it is! Quick to heat up, with several useful features. Provides a satisfying curl and just keeps going quickly and efficiently. Some good safety features too. Would highly recommend as it all works well.
After trying many different curling tongs over the years and never been happy with the results or the condition they left my hair in, I finally decided to see if GHD’s were all that everyone says they are. And they are. From the first time of using it felt like I had a professional quality product not something made for amateurs. The tongs are easy to use, heat up very quickly letting you know when they are ready. The tip stays cool which is great for keeping your finger prints intact! And like wise they turn off when they haven’t been used for 30 mins, no more mad dashes back home to see if you’ve left them on. They are easy to use and give a loose or tight curl depending how they are used, it takes a bit of experimenting, as with all new products but worth the time taken. I’ve acheived the best results ever. The curls easily last until I go to bed, I am sure some people would still have the curls the next day but as I’m at that wonderful age when every night feels like its been spent in the tropics, nothing I do with my hair has any chance of lasting over night.
I appreciate these are more expencive that a lot of other tongs but I think they are worth every penny and will certainly be looking to buy more of there products.

+ Creates strong curls, which you can vary from tight ringlets to soft curls (though this isn’t unique to this tong, just the technique you use – there’s a mini guide included with a couple of photos).
+ Cool-touch tip makes it easier to manipulate the tong.
+ Smart looking and compact for storage.
– No heat settings just on (extremeeely hot!) or off.
– Difficult to use on very long hair as the tong isn’t that lengthy.
– Very damaging to hair as you get a significant amount of steam and water residue coming off your hair during and after you’ve applied the tong. So much that it creates water droplets on the inside of the metal tong and fizzes. I’d definitely use a high strength protective spray if using this regularly.
– Doesn’t come with a heat mat but definitely needs one as it’s a fire hazard otherwise.
– Bit over priced.
– No travel case / container, which you might expect for the price, to protect it from scratches etc.
ALL IN ALL…It’s certainly a good tong but considering the price and that I struggle to use it on the full length of my hair I wouldn’t pay full price.
I’d also prefer variable heat as my hair easily holds a curl so I’d rather not damage it with heat beyond what’s necessary to achieve the desired effect.
GHD goodness!
Well, there is nothing negative to say about these. They absolutely ooze quality. Yes, they are expensive, and yes, you can buy hair curling tongs for a lot cheaper. But, you really do get what you pay for, and ghd products are proof of that.
They look like top quality, they feel really ergonomic in the hand. Very comfortable to hold, which is important when you have a whole head of hair to curl! I love the cool tip, so that you don’t constantly burn your fingers while you’re curling. They heat up really rapidly, too. Another important feature is the automatic switch off if you haven’t used them in 30minutes. I can’t tell you the amount of times my daughters have rung me after they’ve gone out, asking me to go to their room to check if they’d left their tongs on.
All in all, I realise these are expensive, but if you can stretch to it, I know you will love these. The old saying of buy cheap, buy twice really applies here…you will only ever have to buy this one set.
Amazing classy tongs
Yes, its ghd, they are alot more expensive than some other brands. Going by these tongs however, there seems a good reason for this! They are quality! You really do get what you pay for here, we have used other brands of curling tongs on many occasions, but this set was the best we have ever used. They heat up in next to no time, they are so lightweight and easy to use and the fact that the tip of the end stays cool and allows you to manipulate the hair and wand at the same time without burning your fingers to create the curl is amazing and frankly we have not found this previously in other brands. The size of the barrel is perfect for curling your hair and the curls are good, quick to achieve and they stay put! I really can’t recommend these enough! There are a couple of different types of curling tongs out by this company, but this set is the only one we have tried and in our opinion its brilliant!
Does The Job Well
As expected from this brand, a well made product that appears to be of the same standard as other items they make. My wife has had GHD stuff for years. The repair we have had to make twice is replacing the cable. GHD are a bit more expensive but like in most cases you get what you pay for.
She particularly liked the width that the curling bracket opened to and found this convenient and making it easy to use. Good results were achieved pretty quickly too so given that is its only purpose, it can be said to do the job well.
