I’d never used a monocular before but we’re quite enjoying using this bit of kit. A friend of mine mentioned that her dad uses one as they’re so much more portable than a set of binoculars and easy to pop out of your pocket to look at something interesting on a walk. They did also mention that using a monocular makes you look a bit like a pirate but personally I think that’s a bonus.

This model is pretty straightforward to use and focus. It’s not massively heavy but does still have some weight to it and is definitely not as light as some of the more expensive binoculars I’ve tried in the past.

I like the smartphone stand to use this with plus I love the little tripod you get with it. It makes it much easier to get kids involved in using the monocular and really it’s ideal for kids, compared to binoculars which are hard to hold steady and where the eye pieces are usually set too wide for kids.

Great little piece of kit which we’re really enjoying using and have taken to the nursery we use for them to use it to look at nature and landmarks with the kids on their trips out, it’s fab (and the kids especially enjoy looking like pirates obviously).

    Very good quality monocular
Comes in a nice presented box that would be suitable for a gift etc
    Included is…
    The Monocular
A material case with velcro flap
    Hand string and instructions
    Mobile phone mount monocular holder
    Adjustable Tripod
It has a warentee which is alway good to see
This is by far the best one of these iv tested yet the view is clear and real glass lenses its quite heavy for its size
Built well with a rubberised black finish there’s a 12 X 50 dial on the top and the eye piece extends a little too
There’s a rubber cover for both ends the rear comes off the front stays attached
The mobile holder is also one of the better ones its adjustable with a dial on top it has rubber inserts to protect and secure your device and locks down securely
The tripod included again is a better on it has rubber non slip feet a ratchet style extention option and a quarter inch thread to mount to the monocular holder is basic but effective it can be tricky to line your cameras up I’d you have several but it’s got good range of movement so would suit any smart phones really
The pictures have a circular boarder obviously but I think it ads character to the pictures and they can always be cropped etc in post
The range of movement is good although in cirtain positions it can lose ballance as its quite heavy but again the tripod is adjustable so if your trying a cirtain angle you can set the tripod to counter the weight
I wish it had a mounting option for the monocular itself a quarter inch thread hole just to add alternative mounting options but it works well overall and pretty good quality throughout ideal for a gift or bird watching, creative photography etc

Far better quality than others iv tested build and visio

Great budget monocular, very lightweight and easy-to-use. I am honestly very impressed! I use it for watching bird and animals around our farmhouse. Thanks to the 12X power magnification and the 50mm large objective lens I can see about 250-300m far away without any issue or distortion of image. Although these are advertised as for adults, it can be used by children as well. The monocular is designed to be easy to carry thanks to the plastic body it’s lightweight, sturdy, and easy to handle. Comes with a mini tripod and a universal phone holder so it can be used with any phone to take pictures of the close view. The reason I only give 4 starts because the price. I think the current price (99 at the time i wrote this review) is way to high.

At this price range I wasn’t expecting the best monocular telescope but I was actually surprised at how well it worked, but you do get what you pay for and it doesn’t come close to the more expensive brands.

With the monocular telescope you get a plastic tripod, a a phone holder and a carry case that only fits the monocular telescope and not the accessories (which is a little annoying if you want to take everything out with you).

It’s simple enough to use and focus and has a clear view.

It’s a little weighty but is still light enough to carry round and use all day.

The highlight for me though was the ability to take photos through it in my phone. You do get the round outline, but if you zoom in on your phone it gets rid of that. The pictures were clear and focused and had some lovely bokeh in the background.

Overall for the price I think this is a decent item and I’d definitely recommend it.

    Does okay for the price.

This telescope feels fairly well made with a smartphone holder and tripod. It’s great for taking photos of objects further away and good for outdoors as the lens is waterproof. The tripod is easy to assemble and the zoom is fairly decent with minimal distortion. It takes a bit of adjustment to get the right position but once setup, it’s a very clear image that’s impressive. It comes with a carry case to put this in which can be taken with you. If you fancy yourself as a nature photographer with your phone as a bit of a hobby this is great.

Bit of fiddling to get the best sho

At the time of writing this review this monocular is selling for 99.99 on Amazon. The package includes:the monocular,a carry case for storage and travel.a lanyard, super useful tripod and a smart phone adapter.
This scope offers great magnification and optical clarity ideal for homing in on wildlife, viewing landscapes and travel.I like the fact that this monocular is waterproof and has a high IP rating.
You can also link it up with your smartphone as well.
    Overall,a top product.
    My rating is 5 Stars.

I must admit I have not used the smartphone feature properly just to test it out, seems to work fine for me, now as a spotting scope monocular it is brilliant with not much distortion and great optical clarity, build quality is good and it will withstand bad weather with ease, the little tripod is nice and helps a lot when stationary with eliminating shake, overall a brilliant 12×50 scope.
