Amazing heat , battery life and after-service
Received as a gift for daily cycling to work. Even at minus 2 degrees the lowest heat setting is more than enough – and the others very toasty indeed. The battery lasts for about 5 hours total and charges again quickly. Easy to connect and disconnect. I had an issue with one battery outside the usual Amazon 30 day period, so I contacted the retailer via amazon website – and they responded on the day and had another battery sent to me within about a week and a half. Impressive.

    Good quality gloves
These were excellent quality heated gloves for skiing and the battery lasted a long time, but because the batteries are bulky, it makes it hard to put the gloves on.

    Fantastic purchases .
Great for my hands. I was looking for a pair of gloves that keep my hands warm for long enough so I do not get joint ache in my fingers and they are great at keeping my hands super warm. Very happy with my purchase .

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFantastic gloves for cold hands
I bought these gloves after a failed order from another trader. Having read the reviews I ordered a pair and was not in any way disappointed, they arrived quickly well within the timeframe stated. I suffer from Raynaud’s and the beauty with these gloves is that you dont realise just how effective they are. They have 5 settings. The top setting comfortably heats your hands without sweating then you realise it’s time to turn them down a notch. Although they seem a little pricey I would definitely recommend them, the supplier gives a one year guarantee and a no quibble return policy

I use them for cycling, and they certainly do the job of keeping my hands warm. I used to dread cycling to work when the temp was around 0 as my hands got painfully cold. I find that I don’t need it any higher than setting 3 and usually lower. Overall I am very happy with the gloves. However, there are some things to bear in mind

First the size chart isn’t very good, according to it I was an xl and I ended up with a med which fit perfectly

Secondly the gloves don’t breathe (I suspect this is the nature of heated gloves) so whilst they are warm it is a little bit like having your hands in warm water. This isn’t a problem for me as it is so much better than my fingers getting painfully cold. Even on the lowest setting your hands do sweat a bit and get clammy, again this is fine for me a its so much better than having freezing fingers I couldn’t feel

Because your hands sweat (not excessively) and they don’t breathe the inners get damp and then don’t dry out between rides even though they don’t seem to be that damp. I left them from Weds to Sunday and they were still damp. Again, not a deal breaker for me because once you turn them on your hands so warm up. I did ask the company about how to dry them in case of damage to the filament (leave them turned on for a while?) and they said to use a hair dryer so that air circulates, which isnt ideal but again I think its probably a ‘feature’ of heated gloves. The company were very quickly responding to my numerous questions

Even taking the above into account I would throughly recommend them

Sporvet Heated Gloves - Comments and Tips from a Cyclis
    1) Using the gloves:

I’m 72 and every morning at 7 am I go on a 7 mile bike ride around Dover that includes a stretch along the seafront where I often battle against seasonal headwinds. The ride lasts for about an hour and ten minutes.

I use the heated gloves at temperatures of 6-7 degrees C and below, not to keep my hands warm but to keep them comfortable – slightly cooler than my “knees and elbows”, if you see what I mean.

If, as a hypothetical example, the temperature happened to be 6 degrees on a Sunday, and then dropped by one degree per day for the next 6 days, then my hands would not notice the difference as I progressively increase the heat settings (allowing for the fact that the gloves have 5 heat settings rather than being continuously adjustable, of course).

Going for comfort rather than warmth works for me and has the secondary advantage of increasing the time between battery charges.

At 0 and -1 degrees the top digit of my thumbs begins to feel cold towards the end of the ride, somewhat similar to what I experience at 6 degrees using what I now call, “Poor people’s gloves” (ie non-heated).

In a recent cold snap, the temperature dropped to minus 2-3 degrees. At these temperatures I noticed both fingers and thumbs registered the cold when I was only halfway around my route. However, they stayed at this level of entirely acceptable discomfort for the rest of the ride without getting any worse.

To put the above into perspective, I finish my ride at Wetherspoons where I spend 90 minutes or so drinking coffee (with free refills!) and using their Wi-Fi.

I sit just inside the main doors and on one of the coldest days I was struck by how many customers came in, stamped their feet on the floor, and said variations of, “Brrr, it’s c-o-l-d!!!”

My reaction was one of faint surprise, as if something was going on outside that I hadn’t particularly noticed.

    2) Drying the gloves:

I stand the gloves on their cuffs against a small cardboard box (Amazon, of course!) and then use a fan heater from a couple of feet away.

After a while, I turn the gloves around so that the palms face the heater. Then I turn them around again but this time stand them on their finger tips. I then turn the palms towards the heater again, also on their fingertips.

Finally, I drape the gloves over the box with the opened cuffs pointing towards the heater so that some warm air can get inside.

I don’t try and dry the gloves in one go. I follow the above routine when I get in at midday, then repeat it at tea-time if I know I’ll need the gloves the following day. Sometimes, I’ll repeat it one more time before going to bed.

I’m primarily concerned that the gloves perform their function and don’t mind what lengths I go to in order that they can.

    3) Sizing:

According to the sizing chart, my finger length is “Large” and my palm circumference is “Extra Large”.

I took a chance and chose large because I didn’t want any excess finger length fouling my brake levers and the gloves turned out to be a very comfortable fit indeed. The only way that my hand size affects the gloves is that it is easier to put them on if the batteries are inserted lengthwise (with the shorter ends pointing towards the finger tips) rather than across the wrist.

    4) Other comments:

This is my second pair of heated gloves. My first also used 5000mAh batteries and had 5 heat settings covering the same temperature ranges as the Sporvet gloves do.

Some reviewers of my first pair of gloves (no longer stocked by the seller) spoke of their hands feeling clammy. This happens when the gloves are set to too high a setting than the ambient temperature really requires: the hands sweat and produce moisture faster than the water-resistant gloves can dissipate.

Other reviewers spoke of the inner lining being too “wrinkly” with a tendency to being pulled out of the gloves as the hand is withdrawn.

I could relate to this because my first pair of gloves were a looser fit than my Sporvet ones. I got around the problems by slowly easing the gloves on and wriggling my fingers from side to side whenever I encountered wrinkles. I also eased the gloves off by holding the finger tips (and therefore the lining) with my other hand as I did so. After a time, the lining “bedded-in” and the problems disappeared.

    5) Conclusion:

If I didn’t think the Sporvet were brilliant then I wouldn’t have written such a long review!

    Good even without the power.
I have bad circulation in my hands and these gloves work well without the power, but are even better with the power, it just takes a while for the gloves to heat up, but once they are heated they last for Hours, thumbs up.

Quality Gloves - 3M Thinsulate Lining
Heating elements in right glove failed.
Put gloves on a warm radiator for 16 hours & they were still damp, I think I just have sweaty hands!.
Gloves have now been replaced by the seller (thank you) & are ready for skiing next year.
    Have purchased electric glove dryer.
There are 5 heat settings, I chose green, midway, it is possible that I had them too warm,
will try a lower setting next time I use them.

I have been using these gloves for the past week on my cycle to work, and they work really well. The gloves themselves are very nicely made with good stitching and quality materials. The heating function warms up very quickly and works well, I have mainly been using on the highest heat setting and have got several hours of use before needing to recharge, the other settings allow good control when your hands get too warm. I would point out that getting a good fit on the fingers will really help reap the benefits of the heating elements in this area. They are on the bulky side but no more than I would expect from a good pair of skiing gloves, and the batteries are not the lightest but for cycling at least I do not notice the weight.

Size wise I went for a large based on the size charge in the picture gallery and they fit nicely with a bit of wiggle room, which helps positioning the battery in a comfortable position when cycling.

I have yet to really put them through their paces in some proper sub-zero temperatures but overall I’m very pleased with my purchase.

My husband has cold hands cycling. These keep them warm. He was concerned that he wouldn’t be able to change gear etc due to the bulk. No problems at all. First class

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSo warm!
Had these for about 3 weeks now and they got me through the last cold spell incredibly well. I cycle to work and end up with very frozen toes and fingers usually but these gloves didn’t just stop to frozen fingers, they were too hot on the highest setting while cycling. Notched it down since the first ride and they work a treat. They are also very wind proof while riding. I will be taking them snowboarding this year no doubt as well, as they are very well made. Should withstand some abuse on the pistes as well while keeping my hands toasty on the lifts.
All I need to find are some heated shoes now to go with them.

The only heated gloves you’ll need!
I checked every heated gloves’ products and couldn’t better this one. Comes with a sealable bag, UK 3 pin charging plug too. These are really warm without turning on the heat but if you’re like me with bad circulation then these are ‘must buy’! Very very pleased. Thank you.

    Absolutely love these gloves.

One major selling point that doesnt look to be shouted about in the product description is that its made from 3M thinsulate. That makes them so warm alone without turning on the heaters!

These gloves are the real deal. They are proper warm chunky ski gloves. But due to the fabric being used, you still get the flexibility of gloves half their thickness.

Fabric wise, Top layer is a waterproof material followed by a fleeced lined internal part which touches your skin, Trust me, you really want to have the thinsulate version!

Really well made, All the seams are made perfectly and the there is real strength to outer fabric which means I wont be worrying about ripping these any time soon.

So say your hands somehow aren’t warm enough, within a click on the back of your hand, the heaters are activated. each hand control is separate so you can have one on high and say the other off.

Battery life is good enough for me, I’ve used these on an indoor ski slope and they do a couple of sessions before needing to be recharged. The weight of the battery isn’t that bad as its but on the back of the wrist and doesn’t weigh that much.

Very impressed with these and glade to add them to my kit bag

I struggle with winter cycling due to Raynaud’s syndrome and so far had not found a pair of gloves that would keep my fingers from going white on my 7k commute in the Bristol area. I’m really pleased with these gloves though as on max setting, they keep just enough heat being delivered to keep my fingers warm. They are bulky, but I’m still able to change gear. Seems a quality product!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFantastic! Comforting heat for hands with poor circulation!
I’ve got hands that can’t cope with cold temperatures and have struggled for years to find gloves that can keep my hands warm, stop my fingers going numb and avoid the incredible pain afterwards. I believe this is Raynaud’s although I’ve never had it diagnosed but it makes me very fearful of going out in cold weather.
The temperature outside has dropped and I’ve had a chance to try out these gloves and they felt incredible!

First things first, the quality of the gloves looks great. They arrived in premium packaging and both look and feel lovely. I buy Men’s large gloves and the large size of these fits perfectly.
When I saw the battery packs I was a little worried about how bulky they would feel but when the battery packs are sitting in their zipped enclosures the weight is on the back of the wrist, not the hand and didn’t bother me at all. The maximum heat level is hot and almost instant, the manual is clear to only use this to heat up and for limited periods of time. Once the other levels were selected a perfectly cosy level of heat was achieved.

The gloves do feel bulky, but no more so than some of the very large warm gloves and mittens I’ve bought in the past. The battery life states looks excellent – I’m yet to evaluate how this performs over time but will revisit this review with any details.

On initial evaluation I couldn’t be happier with the gloves and am now interested in the other heating options to see what they might bring to my winter woes (and toes!).

The gloves arrived yesterday and I’m already over the moon with them, they were shipped and delivered in good time and they are presented nicely in the box.
Functionality is exactly as described in the listing and i was nice and warm on the ride into work today. The gloves are not restrictive at all and the fact that i can keep them on to use the touchscreen on my phone is a bonus. I would 100% recommend these to anyone that is looking for a decent pair of heated gloves.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat gloves with very long battery life. The gloves have an adjustable heat level which is great. The batteries are 5000 mAh and last quite long on a single charge. The quality is very good and comes packaged in a nice bag and box. Great value and quality for the money. The gloves heat up pretty quickly and the high setting is very warm. I usually use it on the middle setting (total of 5 settings) and it’s plenty warm enough. I usually wear a mens size large glove and these fit perfectly.

Great pair of gloves! They’re nice and warm even without the batteries!
Easy to take batteries in or out, you just unzip a pouch, and unplug or plug the battery into a cable thats built into the glove, tucked away inside the pocket
These gloves feel like they’d be toasty warm even if you don’t turn on the heating
I also like that it lets you charge both batteries at the same time using only one charger
    Glad I bought these
