Great porrable speaker that packs a huge punch. Don't be fooled by the size.
Great little speaker, fantastic audio quality and fantastic bass due to the subs on the side of the speaker. Maybe even a little too good. This bass goes straight though walls, ur flatmate, spouce, family etc will hate you for this purchase. 10/10 would buy agai

I use headphones all the time and the sound quality is very different compared to most devices. This little baby is amazing, however. Deep rich sound that was the closest to my headphones that I have come across yet. Powerful enough for a space up to 100 m. Absolutely love it.
Great Sound
Its a fantastic speaker that delivers a great sound from a small and portable device the size of a large drinks can. Easy to set up and use. Good battery life. Highly recommended.
Still the best option in this price range
I’ve tried other brands in the same price range, they are good, yes, but not as good as this JBL. The long-lasting battery and the speakers don’t make it a heavy or oversized product, and it has a good sound balance with a decent bass (which others don’t).
Fantastic sound
Fantastic sound from this small speaker. Easy to connect to my phone, great battery life. I like the fact that I can take it down the bottom of my garden & no extension lead required!!!

You can’t go wrong with this speaker. For the money, it’s a bargain , I bought my first Flip in 2012 and lasted this long, I’ll be happy if this one lasts half the time.
Faulty/Returned!
When I received the Flip 5, I was unable to power the speaker on so it was returned. I went on to purchase the Flip 6 from another online seller and have been very impressed with the sound quality and it’s ability to fill a small/medium sized room. If the Flip 5 is anything like the Flip 6, it is definately worth a go, especially if you can buy it at a discounted price, it being an older model.

Owned earlier version of this and loved it, so it was a no-brainer to buy this version. Well, 2 of them, because reasons.
As Head Chef, I control the tunes, obviously and with these 2 paired up using the simple JBL app (Android/IoS) you can be dancing around the kitchen to some seriously great sound quality in no time. The bass is insane and the volume level is simply ridiculous – love it. I’m moving to a larger kitchen shortly, so may have to inflict 2 more of these on the poor souls that will be working for me. 4 of these bad boys makes me giggle at the very thought of it.

Great little speake
Brought this for a party and I had put this at the end of the room and it was loud… and that’s what I wanted. The speaker its self is small but it packs a punch in giving great sound. You get good audio and the battery last long. I had this speaker on for over 6hours + and it didn’t die on me. I really like the fact that it’s small and you can literally take it on the go.
Amazing sound from such a small speake
I did not expect the sound to be this good! It has been my dream for a long time to have speaker from this brand but the price has always been too high for me to afford it. Owned cheaper brands in the past but never got quality sound as this one. Recommend for sure!

As title says I used to have a UE Megaboom 2 until it got stolen. Considering the price this is just as good if not better (imo)

Have been using while I renovate my house, even though it’s been dusty the speakers have worked well.
I have a number of portable speakers of cheaper and inferior quality, this one by far sounds excellent. Good clarity and my goodness good bass ! A pity it is Bluetooth only as I would like to play directly from a mini sd card. The user guide/manual is almost non existent. No explanation as to how to use the “party” button and other combination of buttons, until I googled “JBL Flap 5 buttons explained”, why do they have to make these functions so secretive ?

Sound quality great. But even better if you buy another one and paired them together like I’ve just done. Remember one thing to use this in different modes you will need to but the APP which will cost you 29.00 per year or 2.99 per month.
But otherwise this is the best one I’ve had for work and it’s great as it comes with a case.

Sound is good for the size of it but it is not worth the full retail price thankfully I got it for 89.99. Only have it a couple of days so far it is ok.
Brilliant sound, only wish it had AUX input..
Love this little speaker, super portable and has brilliant battery life. It does lose some of the low end at higher volumes and will use more battery at a constant use, but at a more reasonable listening level it sounds great and will last longer. I only wish it had an AUX input, just for the extra functionality, but it’s a small sacrifice. Build quality is excellent and I’ve had it underwater for short periods, with 0 problems.
Reviews were great so I bought one. I thought the sound was good but not brilliant. I contemplated sending it back but then I was comparing the sound to a large stereo speaker in my house. Remember, this is a small portable device and it’s priced well. The sound, for the size and price is actually very good. I was just comparing it to an expensive home stereo rather than a small hand held portable device which is what it is. So for the money I’m very pleased with it and the more I’ve listened to it the more it’s grown on me. No point writing a review until you’ve had it for a good number of weeks. I did look at getting a more expensive one but they leap up to 200+. Is it worth it? Not really. This does the job very well. Good base and over all good sound. Would recommend.
I love bass, so bought this as the reviews all emphasis that aspect. Great sound, even at high volume. Spec also says can be paired for stereo, so I took the plunge and bought a second speaker within a week.
It provides ‘pan’ stereo, not true stereo (…same mono sound from both speakers, as opposed to splitting different instruments between them). I’d say, if you want to sit calmly and listen to classical music, hearing violins in one ear and clarinet in the other, this is not the way for you.
However, if you want to fill a room with same volume at each end and you love deep mellow tones, two of speakers will easily cover it.
Even one alone surpasses any Bluetooth speaker I’ve used before.
I just have to choose the right moment to bring the second speaker out in front of my husband!
I’m glad i brought the JBL flip 5 and not the flip 6 because i read the reviews on the flip 6 and there isn’t really that much difference between the two so i saved money and still have a good quality sounding speaker. The battery side of it isn’t brilliant but what can you expect when it’s running powerful subwoofers of good quality i suppose you could add a external power bank to it for extra playtime. If it wasn’t for the battery i would of gave it the full five stars as i really like the sound.
Great Speaker!
I like pretty much everything about this speaker so far. Sound quality is great, look and feel are nice, and it’s really easy to set up. As others have mentioned the sound is quite bassy, but what do you expect with JBL?!
Comes in a nice protective travel case, which unfortunately the charge cable doesn’t fit into. Probably one area that could be improved, if you were being picky.
A little speaker with a big surprise
I have always had Gear4 portable speakers in the past which have been perfect for me. I bought this to replace my current old speaker and got a real surprise when I first played it. I could not believe how much volume came out of this small speaker and it sounds fantastic and better than my beloved Gear4. Very impressed with it.
Would be brilliant......if it worked. Waste of money
Great sound quality, good battery life and I got it for a great price in a sale. I have had it about 3 months and now it will only connect to my phone and no other devices, only the on off button works so I can’t turn it up on the speaker or do anything with it. I washed it and it distorted the sound for about 2 days.
If it worked properly it would be great but I cant do anything with it so it’s a waste of money for me unfortunately which is sad as its a great speaker when it did work.
