Does what it says on the box. Put the boiled water & milk powder in, give it a shake, turn upside & it is perfect to use in 2 minutes. No more stress when the baby needs feeding NOW…essential item for me now.
We love this product for our boy. Super easy for making fresh bottles. The only downside is the 3 hour reset time inbetween making bottles (which is why we have 2). Out baby doesn’t always go 3 hours between feeds so it then doesn’t cool it down enough.
Have used multiple times since I received it. It comes in so handy if I need to quickly make a feed for my new born when he’s screaming with hunger. Quick and easy to use.
Was so good I bought a second one as you need 3hrs in-between uses. That’s the only negative. The 3hrs to reset.
I got this for when we are out in order to be able to make formula bottles up and have them cooled quickly. Instead of putting the milk in to cool it I poured some boiled water into the bottle and added my scoops. I then poured the remainder of water into the Nuby and let it cool. It was quicker than I thought and ready to drink straight away. Got it on offer. Great purchase.
I bought this as didn’t want a prep machine and it definitely works.
Pro’s – definitely helps with night feeds as it cools the milk down within minutes
Cons – you can’t steam sterilise the lid so am having to use cold water sterilising. It’s abit of a pain having to wash and sterilise it after every feed which is why I only use it for night feeds. That might not bother everyone though
How I would have coped without this product I don’t know easy to use and very quick to get results for babies 0-9 months in the middle of the night.
Oh my days this is an absolute must have!! No more waiting for feeds to cool down. If this was around when my first child was born it would have been an absolute no brainer!! Saves so much time!! Worth every penny and would recommend to any mum!!
Works well, Extremely quick to turn the milk perfect temperature. Only annoying thing is sterilising time for next use. 3 hours is a long time for sterilising before the next use. Not useful for cluster feeding unfortunately, Other then that its great.
When your baby is hungry at 1am and screaming the house down this is something I would recommend! It really does rapid cool boiling water down so quickly which is a god send at night if your baby is hungry and you’ve slept through your alarm to make another bottle and wait for it to cool in some cold water.
Sadly, I had to buy a UV steriliser with this as you can’t steam sterilise it but the UV steriliser had helped with various other bits anyways.

so handy for travelling/last minute feeds. used a lot for travel or when baby was unexpectedly hungry. also great for night feeds. used this and a flask instead of coming downstairs in those cold winter months
Must have so you can make fresh warm bottles when out. 100% worth getting as not really to expensive. Can use to cool down boiling water to clean babies face too
We got the RapidCool for travelling and being out and about with our daughter to make bottles. It is a game changer. No waiting around with an upset baby. Or panicking about the bottle being too hot or too cold.

Honestly do not bother with any alternatives. This is the best! Works every time and if you time 2 mins of shaking it’s cool enough to cool the hot shot. Much better than a prep machine.
This product cools the formula milk to the right temperature once the water has boiled and that within a couple of minutes. It also keeps the milk fresh for journeys for quite some time. It is a definite game changer!
Cuts back milk preparation time to just down to 1-2mins. This is perfect for nighttime feeds and for when you’re going out. It’s easy to use, clean and regulates milk temperature to an optimal level. Mind you that you do have to let it cool off for 3 hours after being sterilized (we have a UV sterilizer). We bought 3 bottles to ensure that we have ones that are always ready for use.
One of the best products that we have purchased really makes dealing with formula much easier. We didn’t get a formula maker as was weaning baby of the breast and she was 7 months and this was great to bridge the gap 😉

I use to cold down the water, in minutes you have the boiled water in the correct temperature to be transferred to the bottles, just add the amount of formula needed. Amazing!
I highly recommend, even if it does baffle you everytime you use it.
Ended up buying two of these. Such a great product. One thing I would say is make sure you read the manual on how long to keep feed inside for. Even though it goes green it will still be too hot. I only realised after properly reading the manual that the 6oz feed which we are on should be kept inside for 5 mins +. It’s weird sometimes it won’t turn yellow at all and sometimes it will you just have to read the manual for the amount of feed you are putting in and go by that!

I was really impressed with the rapid cool itself at first however over time it seems to take longer to work. It has however saved us time with a screaming baby. The grey flask is pretty useless and water only stays warm for a few hours so next time I would just buy the rapid cool alone. The idea itself is great but the product needs some work.

The Nuby rapid cool has a weighty feel to it similar to a thermos only slightly heavier. The slightly roughed texture of the bottle makes it easy to grip and work with. The lid sports a domed piece of glass with a small touch sensitive spot that indicates the temperature of the contents.
In a nutshell:
Step 1: Pour your boiling water into the Nuby rapid cool until the the desired amount.
Step 2: Thereafter add the formula powder and close the lid .
Step 3: Shake the bottle to ensure the powder is well mixed into the water.
Step 4: invert the Nuby rapid cool every few minutes, hold it inverted for 5 seconds and tap the lids sensor to measure the contents temperature. Green means ready to dispense, yellow means wait almost done, red means scalding hot (Never seen the red indicator).
When pouring in the boiling water is inormal to hear a cracking sound, I assume this would be the gel / special contents in the walls of the Nuby rapid cool, this used to draw out the heat at such a rapid pace.
To after dispensing the formula into a bottle I always add some more boiling water into the Nuby rapid cool, close the lid and shake it again, this to give it a quick clean taking 90% of the cleaning job away when you need to properly clean it.
I do believe for the bottle to reset you need to wait around 3 hours before using it again to get its full efficacy of drawing out the heat at a rapid pace.

So handy for use at home and out and about.
It does take longer the larger the feed, common sense but not something I’d thought about until the time.
This has been our main method of cooling milk (other method has been standing the bottle in cold water) and didn’t/ don’t feel the need for another gadget for making feeds up at home.
Would recommend & buy again if needed.

Best item I have purchased for making formula on the go! I wish I had known about this with my first baby. No more making bottles and waiting fir them to cool or running cold water over a hot bottle with a crying baby in arms. If you formula feed – BUY THIS!!
Absolutely love this product, easy to use and so much quicker than waiting for running cold water to cool a bottle. Especially when baby wakes up and instantly wants a feed!
Product is amazing for when baby is crying it doesn’t take long at all to get the perfect feed! Quite big to get into our uv steriliser but easily managed to make up for convenience of product.

The product is great but one of the digital lids don’t work. It doesn’t light up at all. I can’t send the whole item back as I need to use it. Can I send back the lid for a replacement?
Was recommended by a friend to use for our daughter while out and about. This gives us the reassurance the formula will be the correct temperature and so easy to use. As this product comes with two coolers this means we can be out for longer and not having to worry about feeding.

These have been a god send in saving me from wasting money on the ready made formula bottles. Super easy and simple to use. Great for when your baby is out and about fussing (probably quite good for night feeds too at home not that I need to use this as I use the tommee tippee prep machine)
The only drawback is they need UV sterilising which was a tad annoying as I had to buy another steriliser on top of my steam one (they know how to hook you in!) but that’s a very minor complaint (hence the 3 stars for cleaning its not the easiest)
Otherwise great product- going to invest in another just to leave at my mums!
These make bottle making so quick and easy, literally a life saver at 3am when you’re half asleep or if the little one is crying! Don’t know how we coped before!
I got this to make trips out easier. My gosh its amazing! No waiting to long for milk to cool down, doesnt matter where we go i have an easy way to make a bottle! If we go to friends houses i take milton tablets and milton the rapid cools as soon as ive used it so its ready for the next time!

The hot water flask keeps warm for hours so it is ideal for days out too
Thought this looked like a fail safe option… but the flask doesn’t keep the water above 70 beyond 2 hours let along any longer. You’re better off buying a standard flask (7 from Tesco) which keeps it above 70 for 5 hours. We have had this for a few weeks now and despite cold sterilising everything as per instructions one of the rapid cools doesn’t cool down to the correct temperature… but the other works perfectly fine. A bit of a hit or miss!
