Does what it says on the box. Put the boiled water & milk powder in, give it a shake, turn upside & it is perfect to use in 2 minutes. No more stress when the baby needs feeding NOW…essential item for me now.

Have used multiple times since I received it. It comes in so handy if I need to quickly make a feed for my new born when he’s screaming with hunger. Quick and easy to use.
Was so good I bought a second one as you need 3hrs in-between uses. That’s the only negative. The 3hrs to reset.

We love this product for our boy. Super easy for making fresh bottles. The only downside is the 3 hour reset time inbetween making bottles (which is why we have 2). Out baby doesn’t always go 3 hours between feeds so it then doesn’t cool it down enough.
Such a handy item
I got this for when we are out in order to be able to make formula bottles up and have them cooled quickly. Instead of putting the milk in to cool it I poured some boiled water into the bottle and added my scoops. I then poured the remainder of water into the Nuby and let it cool. It was quicker than I thought and ready to drink straight away. Got it on offer. Great purchase.
Really helps with night feeds
I bought this as didn’t want a prep machine and it definitely works.
Pro’s – definitely helps with night feeds as it cools the milk down within minutes
Cons – you can’t steam sterilise the lid so am having to use cold water sterilising. It’s abit of a pain having to wash and sterilise it after every feed which is why I only use it for night feeds. That might not bother everyone though
Most important tool for mums
How I would have coped without this product I don’t know easy to use and very quick to get results for babies 0-9 months in the middle of the night.
It’s a very clever way to prepare a warm bottle on the go. I did weigh up for a long time the advantage of this vs unscrewing a ready made formula. Some considerations…. You have to carry two flasks with you (in an already full changing bag). You have to wait 3 hours to use it again. The milk powder dispenser that is provided is *rubbish* (hard to put powder in & didn’t hold 7 scoops) so you’ll need to use/buy something else. If you are intending to use cold sterilisation, you’ll need a big box (I used 5l Milton box)
An absolute must have and life saver!!
Oh my days this is an absolute must have!! No more waiting for feeds to cool down. If this was around when my first child was born it would have been an absolute no brainer!! Saves so much time!! Worth every penny and would recommend to any mum!!
Can’t recommend this enough. We took it on holiday for our 6 month old and it made making bottles just as easy as using a prep machine. I didn’t make the full bottle in it as that means you can only use it once before washing. I put 1oz of boiling water in the baby bottle to mix the milk then 6oz in the nubby, turned upside down so the sensor kicked in, then left it the right way up for a few minutes and the bottle was ready. Life saver. Lines inside the nubby can be tricky to see but I used my phone torch and it worked fine.

Works well, Extremely quick to turn the milk perfect temperature. Only annoying thing is sterilising time for next use. 3 hours is a long time for sterilising before the next use. Not useful for cluster feeding unfortunately, Other then that its great.
Best thing I've ever bough
When your baby is hungry at 1am and screaming the house down this is something I would recommend! It really does rapid cool boiling water down so quickly which is a god send at night if your baby is hungry and you’ve slept through your alarm to make another bottle and wait for it to cool in some cold water.
Sadly, I had to buy a UV steriliser with this as you can’t steam sterilise it but the UV steriliser had helped with various other bits anyways.

Honestly do not bother with any alternatives. This is the best! Works every time and if you time 2 mins of shaking it’s cool enough to cool the hot shot. Much better than a prep machine.
A real gamechanger!
This product cools the formula milk to the right temperature once the water has boiled and that within a couple of minutes. It also keeps the milk fresh for journeys for quite some time. It is a definite game changer!
Lifesave
Cuts back milk preparation time to just down to 1-2mins. This is perfect for nighttime feeds and for when you’re going out. It’s easy to use, clean and regulates milk temperature to an optimal level. Mind you that you do have to let it cool off for 3 hours after being sterilized (we have a UV sterilizer). We bought 3 bottles to ensure that we have ones that are always ready for use.

Seriously that is a life saver for every parent who struggles to prepare bottles as fast as possible.
I use to cold down the water, in minutes you have the boiled water in the correct temperature to be transferred to the bottles, just add the amount of formula needed. Amazing!
Honestly works. I am beyond shocked at how quickly this cools boiling water! Baby is currently on 7oz feeds, by the time I have measured the water, popped in the formula and shaken to mix it has cooled to drinking temp! baby is 8 months tomorrow and I wish I had known about this sooner!
I highly recommend, even if it does baffle you everytime you use it.

Ended up buying two of these. Such a great product. One thing I would say is make sure you read the manual on how long to keep feed inside for. Even though it goes green it will still be too hot. I only realised after properly reading the manual that the 6oz feed which we are on should be kept inside for 5 mins +. It’s weird sometimes it won’t turn yellow at all and sometimes it will you just have to read the manual for the amount of feed you are putting in and go by that!

I was really impressed with the rapid cool itself at first however over time it seems to take longer to work. It has however saved us time with a screaming baby. The grey flask is pretty useless and water only stays warm for a few hours so next time I would just buy the rapid cool alone. The idea itself is great but the product needs some work.

One of if not the most beneficial purchase we have made when it comes to making our lives a little bit easier caring for our little one. As any parent will know, feeding time can often come when you least expect it, the shrill wail of your little one demanding they need food NOW!
The Nuby rapid cool has a weighty feel to it similar to a thermos only slightly heavier. The slightly roughed texture of the bottle makes it easy to grip and work with. The lid sports a domed piece of glass with a small touch sensitive spot that indicates the temperature of the contents.
In a nutshell:
Step 1: Pour your boiling water into the Nuby rapid cool until the the desired amount.
Step 2: Thereafter add the formula powder and close the lid .
Step 3: Shake the bottle to ensure the powder is well mixed into the water.
Step 4: invert the Nuby rapid cool every few minutes, hold it inverted for 5 seconds and tap the lids sensor to measure the contents temperature. Green means ready to dispense, yellow means wait almost done, red means scalding hot (Never seen the red indicator).
When pouring in the boiling water is inormal to hear a cracking sound, I assume this would be the gel / special contents in the walls of the Nuby rapid cool, this used to draw out the heat at such a rapid pace.
To after dispensing the formula into a bottle I always add some more boiling water into the Nuby rapid cool, close the lid and shake it again, this to give it a quick clean taking 90% of the cleaning job away when you need to properly clean it.
I do believe for the bottle to reset you need to wait around 3 hours before using it again to get its full efficacy of drawing out the heat at a rapid pace.

It does take longer the larger the feed, common sense but not something I’d thought about until the time.
This has been our main method of cooling milk (other method has been standing the bottle in cold water) and didn’t/ don’t feel the need for another gadget for making feeds up at home.
Would recommend & buy again if needed.

Absolutely love this product, easy to use and so much quicker than waiting for running cold water to cool a bottle. Especially when baby wakes up and instantly wants a feed!
Love the rapid cool, our son is premature so only on small feeds so far, it cools it to the right temperature in seconds. The flask that comes with the kit though is terrible, you would be lucky if it has usable water an hour after filling, even with a pre heat fill and good ambient temperature. The flask is so bad I’m not sure if it’s faulty? My advice would be just buy some rapid cool and a different flask like a Stanley or Thermos.
Works a bit too well
The cooling function is excellent. In fact, it’s so good that it cools the milk too much! Especially if you are prepping for a newborn who only needs under 100ml of milk. For such small quantities it literally only takes a few seconds for the liquid to go from boiling to warm . It would be good if you could have an indicator of the actual temperature so you can have control over how cool or warm you want the liquid to be.
I really wish I had bought one of these a long time ago, this makes bottles on the go a lot easier and faster to make.
It feels very high quality and has a nice feel to it.
The instructions suggest adding the boiling water and the powder to flask but this makes it a one time use thing. You can make it reusable but first pouring your boiling water into the baby bottle an then all that bar 1 oz in the nuby. This leaves you a hot shot left in the bottle to sterilise your measured amount of formula and then use the nuby to cool the remimaing water only and then add that to your bottle and voila, ready to drink and nuby stays clean so that use it again.
As the walls of the bottle absorb so much heat it takes a couple of hours for the bottle to cool down enough to use again.

A must have for formula fed babies. Life saver when you’re out and about.
I use the “hot shot” method, 1oz hot water in the bottle to sterilise the formula and then the rest in the nuby to cool down.
The only thing that could be improved is the cleaning instructions. For the flask element they are clear, clean and sterilise. But how to clean and sterilise the lid is unclear. It states to cold water sterilise, but then states it can’t be submerged.
A real game changer. Volume measures need improving though.
Can’t recommend this enough. The logistics for formula feeding is hard enough in the beginning, what with learning feeding cues and cooling. Especially so if you don’t have the option, for whatever reason, of using premade in a pinch.

Wouldn’t be without it. It’s been particularly useful for night feeds and has allowed me a good extra hour or so of sleep.
Somewhat frustrating that the cooldown time is so long. Note that’s it’s a bit better if you use cold water sterilisation instead of uv.
The volume markings on the inside are not that easy to read, so making the formula straight in the flask can be a bit hit and miss. I tend to measure the water in a feed bottle first to get round this.
The ‘yellow’indicator light can look green which can be a tad confusing.
The green (ready) light is more of an early green. Not bile green (that’s the yellow light)
Despite these downsides it’s grand. I’d buy it again. I’d buy it as a baby shower gift too.
Amazing produc
This product is absolutely AMAZING! Still not quite sure how it works but it does. It cools baby milk in no time. I’ve used it a lot for travelling or even when popping round to friends/family as ottos much quicker than trying to cool baby’s milk under running cold water. I cannot recommend it enough. One call out would be always shake and check the colour on the lid but also do check the temp of the milk on your hand/arm before giving to the baby just to be sure. No more screaming hungry baby waiting forever for the milk to cool down!

Product is amazing for when baby is crying it doesn’t take long at all to get the perfect feed! Quite big to get into our uv steriliser but easily managed to make up for convenience of product.
This is like magic! Cools a boiling baby’s bottle to drinking temp in under two minutes. Great for preparing formula on the go, just take a flask of hot water and some premeasured formula, my son takes comfort milk so cannot use premade, this has honestly been a godsend! The only thing I have noticed is the light only switches from orange to green, never goes red but works all the same. Easy to clean, I usually just throw it in with some Milton sterilising fluid – job done

The Nuby Rapid Cools are brilliant. We read negative reviews about the TT prep machine and were concerned it was adding to our LO’s wind, so we swapped to using the RC overnight and it’s been great. The flask, however, doesn’t keep the water warm enough to use safely with the formula. It has to be over 70 degrees to kill the bacteria in it and it just did not keep boiled water warm – even for a couple of hours. We ended up buying a different one from Amazon which is excellent, so feel as though we wasted money on that aspect of this set. The Nuby itself is fab though and makes feeds out and about easy and cheaper than ready made milk. There are great tutorials on YouTube and Tik Tok should you want to see how to use it in different ways 🙂

I actually bought four of them, I don’t own a prep machine and read a lot of conflicting reviews on prep machines so thought to try this and I was amazed from the first use I originally planned to use it for the night feeds only but I’m using it for all the feeds, I know people use different methods for making the bottle with it, but I like to mix the formula in the rapid cool because of the nice consistency it gives, which means they’ll have to be sterilised after each use and that’s why I bought that many, currently using three, there was also a great deal on them here on Amazon. Buy it it’ll make life easie
One of the lids don’t work
The product is great but one of the digital lids don’t work. It doesn’t light up at all. I can’t send the whole item back as I need to use it. Can I send back the lid for a replacement?

Was recommended by a friend to use for our daughter while out and about. This gives us the reassurance the formula will be the correct temperature and so easy to use. As this product comes with two coolers this means we can be out for longer and not having to worry about feeding.

Fantastic for out and abou
These have been a god send in saving me from wasting money on the ready made formula bottles. Super easy and simple to use. Great for when your baby is out and about fussing (probably quite good for night feeds too at home not that I need to use this as I use the tommee tippee prep machine)
The only drawback is they need UV sterilising which was a tad annoying as I had to buy another steriliser on top of my steam one (they know how to hook you in!) but that’s a very minor complaint (hence the 3 stars for cleaning its not the easiest)
Otherwise great product- going to invest in another just to leave at my mums!
Be warned the colour of the little light up temp thing in the lid changes from green to slightly more orange green to show the liquid is still too warm. I thought mine was broken and was about to return before I saw another review saying the same. Basically just wait a couple of minutes and then check the temp. However the device itself is amazing. I would not be without it when we go out or round people’s houses. I absolutely love it and think it’s well worth the money. Also make sure you wash and clean it really well, the seal round the lid is fiddly to get out but milk gets behind it so it needs a thorough clean every time.

I got this to make trips out easier. My gosh its amazing! No waiting to long for milk to cool down, doesnt matter where we go i have an easy way to make a bottle! If we go to friends houses i take milton tablets and milton the rapid cools as soon as ive used it so its ready for the next time!

Don't buy the set...
Thought this looked like a fail safe option… but the flask doesn’t keep the water above 70 beyond 2 hours let along any longer. You’re better off buying a standard flask (7 from Tesco) which keeps it above 70 for 5 hours. We have had this for a few weeks now and despite cold sterilising everything as per instructions one of the rapid cools doesn’t cool down to the correct temperature… but the other works perfectly fine. A bit of a hit or miss!
I love this set and honestly don’t know how I managed without it. This product has made the process of warming up baby milk somucheasier, I wish I bought it sooner. It’s great for night feeds; before bed, I fill the flask up with boiled water and fill the milk powder dispenser then keep them & the Rapid cool next to the bed. Then I can prepare a feed in the night with out getting out of bed :-). Thefact that it uses boiled water as per the NHSguidelineswas a big factor in why I chose this product over others, gives peace of mind.
