We were originally looking for a tall gas heater for the patio but we also wanted to use it in the gazebo so the tall one wasn’t viable. We saw this and the height seemed to be right and with the hood directing the heat down and spreading it round, it seemed to fill all our criteria. Having taken delivery we found we needed gas which we took from the BBQ . Initially we placed it on the floor of the gazebo but this seemed to restrict the heat circle so next time we placed it on a low table ( with a protective piece of wood between it and the table) and this seemed to do the trick. It works extremely well and we’re glad there is some regulator on it because we did have to turn it down. So much for the positives, if there are any issues then that would be where the gas comes from. As I said, we used the gas bottle from the BBQ which is bulky and has to be fairly close to the heater, but I understand there is a space in the main body to take gas canisters. These I believe are quite small, not particularly cheap and not way to obtain. They last perhaps one evening maybe but their bonus is they reduce the clutter of having a big bottle nearby. The big bottles have to be so much cheaper to run though and over many times usage as well so if you can tolerate this then it’s a no-brainer. We like it, it’s well built easily portable (not when lit!!) cheap to run and efficient. Finally, whilst there is a bit of self assembly involved, it’s easily explained and as easy to do so enjoy if you choose to go for it.
