The detailing and quality of the Phomemo prints are great considering no ink is used – the app is really easy to work with and ideal for printing quick labels but with a little practise you can easily print really nice personalised photos too. I find the price to be quite high especially as you only receive one very small roll of sample paper and the replacements online vary in price.

This is a great little device that will make it so much easier to print out labels for packages and envelopes, it has already saved me a bunch of time.

It is great quality and feels amazing quality, not plasticky at all.

The biggest problem for me so far has been finding labels for it but there is some, just not as many options as to what I would have liked to see.

Overall a great machine that prints really good and is a life saver now during Christmas time due to all the Christmas cards that needs sending out.

    A great designed printer.

The only issue is the refill paper rolls can be expensive.

This is usb and comes with a lead.
The quality is expressive and it’s nice and compact.

There is a app to download which was really simple.
The thermal printer is decent quality and pretty impressive.

My daughter loved printing pictures from her phone.
    They come out really clear.

    Great printer I would recommend.

    Good picture quality.

This printer was very easy to pair with my phone.

I had to download the app to get it working. Please read the manual carefully.

Once set up it was like magic seeing my illustrations and doodles being printed with such a small machine.

The app has many templates to choose from.

This is a brilliant printer for scrapbooking and for writing a diary or making lists.

I really like it and I gladly recommend i

The printer is in the shape of an envelope and looks very nice. It’s not very big and I like that because it doesn’t take up much space.Installation and use was a little difficult for me at first.I was trying to install the app from the scan code it had in the manual and through it I could not do it and then I simply looked for the name of the app in the app store and it was easier to find it.Then it took me a while to connect the app to the printer but in the end I succeeded.Has 4 sizes that can be printed:15 mm,53 mm,80 mm,110 mm.The package included the printer,a roll of 110 mm sticker paper, manual and type c cable.Through the app can be printed photos, texts, themes and different designs which when they are printed are black and white.I would like it if,being at that price it also offers color printing,as it seems a bit expensive for a black and white printer. The reason I chose this printer is that I want to print some photos for the album I am doing for my baby,to look a little vintage. And I also wanted to point out that the photos don’t come out that clean when printed from the app and this together with the slightly expensive price made me give it only 4 stars.

It’s nice printer but expensive for what it does

A very cute envelope design, but i agree, a classic platinum grey or a “mini” sleek version of a big printer would have been nice too
    Connects quite easily via Bluetooth
Need to download the app Phomemo
for a mini printer, the image cane out quite nicely & fairly well. Haven’t printed a photo yet but will update…
Lots of options in the app, can be a bit confusing & unnecessary; see photo please). Especially that some if the options do not work: I guess either the file is too big, in which case you need to copy & paste it in the Notes part of app OR the file contains photos & same thing (copy & paste)
For people who only use occasional printing, not having to buy expensive printer ink is important as otherwise it will dry out I think plus its not cost effective. Having this, “just in case” is convenient. It seems these types don’t need ink. So will be saving on ink in the long run. But the paper seems quite expensive…
    Black & white only
110mm thermal paper (self-adhesive or normal)
Can use transparent paper to make stickers
Good product support via,WhatsApp, email , Facebook & quick response
    1 year warranty
M04S is compatible with 3 sizes, 110, 80, and 53mm (confirmed by seller)
    Cons:
Price is way too high for a mini printer. A lot of bigger ones are about this price
Paper quite expensive; I think about 14 for 3 rolls
Paper difficult to find (at least at a decent price)
you get only 1 roll of thermal stick paper; at this price, would expect at least 1 roll of non-stick paper as well to get you rolling! Currently you have to pay roughly 13-14 for 3 rolls of 53mm & 80mm

Save on ink but paper expensive!

This is the printer you thought you never needed but it’s really handy for printing things like return labels and printing out notes you can stick on the fridge. It’s a thermal printer so bear in mind that you can’t recycle thermally printed paper. It comes nicely packaged in a sleeve-type box and includes a USB to USBc cable with which you charge it. The power button (aeroplane on a blue square) flashes white as it’s charging and you have to press this initially to print off a QR code to scan if you have problems connecting your phone using Bluetooth.

The instructions are written in a tiny font so may not be easy for everyone to read. You have to download the Phomemo app to your phone which is straightforward to do. This controls the printer.

The print quality is excellent. Perfect for labels but equally pretty good for photos (see attached). It only prints in black and white but there are several editing options to change the size, tone and clarity of the pictures. You can also print documents. You can also scan, print web images, and it also has OCR character recognition. The app also has label templates.

We really like this printer and think it’s great at what it does. It comes with one roll of paper but you will have to purchase more separately. If you go to the ‘Mall’ section of the app, the consumables are listed in dollars, so I’m not sure it’s available in the UK from the app. However, it is available on Amazon UK.

The printer you never thought you needed!

You might think this is overpriced but you’re paying extra for quality here and quality is what you get.

I just love the design, it looks fab.

    It’s sturdily built.

It might be tricky for some people to use at first but you’ll get there.

You download the Phomemo app, connect your mobile phone via Bluetooth and you’re good to go.

Worth the money I’d say, perfect for label printing.

I am a massive fan of thermal printers and this one is really good if you need to do bigger labels. I already own M220 phomemo model and I love that. I ordered this one as I figured it would print everything the M220 would print, plus bigger labels.

However I have struggled to actually find the same range of labels for it, which I am hoping is because this is a newer model and that a bigger variety will become available. I would just like to go on the sellers shop or web site and click on this printer and be given a link to every type of paper and label I can use for it. 3 of the ones I found were just for continuous labels, which is okay and I will be buying them but they arent good when I want to have a neater looking label, say to go on a decorative bottle. I had hoped the ones I have bought for the m220 would be compatible, but they arent as that is a much fatter machine

The phoneme app is pretty easy to use, I suggest you just have a play around with it and work out the settings yourself. But I think that you will be made up with it if this is your first thermal printer and once I locate the right labels for it then I would hue happy to give it 5 stars. When I got my first thermal printer, which was just for basic ribbon labels, I was blown away with it and couldn’t believe it didn’t use ink. This one is really nice looking, looks like a little airmail envelope and is a lovely compact size.

    Thermal printers are grea

If you’re in the market for a little printer, then this Phomemo M04AS Mini Printer should be taken into consideration.

This thing is tiny, heavier than expected, but tiny and perfectly formed. First off the design is, well, it’s quirky as it looks like an airmail envelope, sure a bigger and fatter one, but I love the look.

As you may have expected there is an app to download, and testing the Phomemo app on both iOS and Android you will get a similar experience despite the disparity in review score on the Play Store Vs the App Store.

The printer connects via Bluetooth, and admittedly it took several goes to get this to happen, I have other devices that do the same, and yet others connect immediately. Just how it goes I suppose…

The app is basic and intuitive and prints, which are in black and white only, are decent. Sure it’s not the best print outs, but think of this along the lines of those Polaroid cameras, you’re not going to get the best images, but you’re going to get fun images.

This has to be the cutest printer I have ever seen. It has the look of an envelope and certainly stands out. It feels solid and of good quality.
The printer is wireless, connecting through a phone app via Bluetooth. It can be charged via the included USB C cable. It took me a while to realise the flashing light on the plane is actually the power button doh.
You can print documents and photos etc, but as you can see the photos come out rather pixelated, so that would not be my main use.
A roll of thermal paper is preinstalled, perfect for shipping labels since it has a peelable sticky back, but at this price I would have expected some spare rolls. I had no problem tearing the paper off afterwards, unlike some label machines which just pull the roll out further instead of tearing.
The official thermal paper is quite expensive to replace, but I did find some unofficial paper which gives about 500 labels for around 10, and as it is thermal, you do not need to replace ink.
It is very portable and compact, making it great for travelling. Overall, a great little printer.

    Good compact wireless printe

Fabulous little printer that will have many uses .
After down-loading the Phomemo app , it was simple to work out the various menus whether it was printing a black and white photo from the phones library , designing a label using the templates provided or copying and printing text etc.
I did it all straightaway without even looking at the menu. The hardest part was finding the on/off switch which was hidden within the aeroplane icon on the top of the printer.
Just trying it out so far with the sample roll enclosed with the printer .

I can see we will probably use it for personalizing greetings cards by adding greetings or age stickers or printing address labels.

    Useful little printe

This is a very good label printer. I use the continuous 110mm roll to make delivery labels for my parcels via Evri for Vinted. The way I do it is to screenshot the label from my email, crop the top and bottom to meet the edge of the label then load it into the phomemo software as an image. The labels are just the right size and come out perfectly.

There are many other uses, you can make stationary by cutting the labels out to your desired size, but the printer does take various different size labels. You can even use it for your Christmas labels.

The machine itself is fine, I’m not a fan of the chosen design (a US airmail letter) and think that a plain design would have done, but the design doesn’t take away from the operation.

You only get a small sample roll of continuous sticker to get you going so make sure to order more. I just got 3 rolls for about 13.

It can print black and white photos, this is more of a gimmick than a genuine use but the option is there if you need it.

I find the cost a bit on the high side, but it does do what they say it does so if this is what you need go for it.

This is an interesting, good quality, quirky, mini thermal printer. First of all, I really like the design of an airmail envelope. It’s certainly eye-catching, if not exactly suited to the use of the printer — more about that later.

It’s a fairly standard USB charge and app download affair. Thankfully the app doesn’t require you to register or submit any details, so once you’ve downloaded it, you’re good to go.

Playing around with it, this is clearly a very capable little thermal printer and the quality of the printout is amongst the best of these types of printers that I’ve tried. Helpfully, the paper is basically one long sticker on a roll, and you just tear the roll at the point where your print out finishes, therefore you aren’t forced to fill a particular size sticker. The role tears neatly at the point where the roll leaves the printer using a serrated edge.

Output-wise I think the quality is fantastic, particularly for graphics. You can print directly from your camera roll on your phone, and this is probably the most useful and fun way of using this printer. What lets it down a bit in my view is too many gimmicky and unnecessary templates and frames in the app, to the detriment of things that you do really need but which are missing, such as postage labels. You can of course set one up yourself, but it seems a bit of an omission to not include a range of postage labels built-in.

One thing I am struggling with with this printer is its price. 90 is a lot, particularly when you can buy full-size full colour printers for not that much more. Also, you only get one small starter roll of paper, and topping this up seems to be quite expensive.

As it is, I think this is a really useful device in the right circumstances, more likely a gimmicky fun gadget than something of serious use, which makes the price all the more unrealistic.

Decent thermal mini printer - at a price

    It’s a bit of fun.
This printer is currently for sale on mason for around 60 using a voucher.
The machine will only print black and white.
It came pre loaded with a sample role of sticker paper which was helpful.
It was fairly intuitive to set up ..
My first problem was finding the on / off button , it is disguised within the aeroplane bottom left of the lid. Once you’ve seen it you know it’s there.
    Loading the paper was simple.
It only took about 20 minutes to charge it up with the usbA to usbC (PD) cable provided.
    Download the app Phomemo
Pairing the phone to the machine has two methods, i chose the second, it worked brilliantly: all you had to do was double press he on button and the machine printed a qr code, scan the code and set up is done..
The machine itself is a bit boxy, it weighs 325g but fits in a coat pocket easily enough. I took it on an evening out meal and took a couple of photos and printed them very easily.
The photo quality is not great, it is grainy at 420dpi ( see photo ) but it was fun being able to print at the table..
The prints should last two years and of course you still have them on your hen.
The ap has other things built into it lots of cartoon type images which this Pinter is very good at printing as they are just black lines on white paper. You can then write on them yourself or colour them in..
I looked at the cost of a new 110mm role of sticker paper, it was around 10 and you get three roles, i think that is very good value. The ongoing costs are minimal, just charging the unit up and buying roles of paper.
The sticker paper sticks very well, i just peeled he paper off that lightbulb sticker and it stuck easily to the box. The paper quality is quite good.
Value for money, it’s around 60, it’s a bit of fun, you can print photos, cartoons or messages there are loads freen te app. If you keep a scrap book you might want to stick messages in there are formatted shopping lists , you could print as stickers or just on paper
You could print labels for bottles, jars , storage
    It has possibilities

It’s a compact and fun printe

What an adorable mini printer! I love how it looks like an envelope. You wouldn’t know what it was, could pass for an ornament! I think for the price it would be nice if it came with a full roll of paper of some sort hence the 4* but there’s so many functions to this and so many uses it warrants a good 4*. The quality is excellent and it’s well built and looks fantastic and I can’t wait to get more use out of it!

    Cute

This is a great little printer. I had not used a thermal printer before but this was so easy to set up and the results are excellent. The printer itself also looks fantastic.

There is a roll of thermal paper already inside the printer. All you need to do is remove the tape holding it together, pull the paper forward so it is over the rubber roller, close the printer and you are done. Press and hold the power button to turn it on.

You do need to download an app to use this printer. The app is called Phomemo. Once installed on your mobile or pad, open the app, and connect to the printer via Bluetooth. It is very quick to pair.

You can then print all sorts of things from photos (monochrome only) to labels. The paper included with the printer is for labels and has a peel-off stick back to it. The adhesive is super strong so once you stick the label on something you may find it hard to remove.

The printer has no mains adapter. You charge it via USB C. There is a USB C to USB lead provided in the box. Replacement thermal paper rolls are available from many places including Amazon.

This mini printer can take 4 different sizes of paper roll, depending on the size of the label you’re printing and is accompanied by an app from which you can create labels using text, images, documents, templates and more.

Connecting to the printer with the app is easy via Bluetooth after downloading the app and following the on-screen instructions.

The print quality is very good with nice and clear blacks, but it will only print in black and white and not colour.

The replacement paper rolls can be quite costly though, so bear this in mind before purchasing.

All in all, it’s a good, multi-purpose mini printer, no matter what you’re using it for.

I hope you found this review helpful.
